Body and Brain Ridgefield Center healed me. Master Kim is an amazing mentor, who guided me through my journey of mindfulness and healing.
When I started taking class here two months ago, I was diagnosed as severe depression and had to start a short-term disability leave from my work for my health condition. Coming to BNB classes and doing the combination of exercises, meditation and Tai-Chi with Master Kim (and Master Adele every Thursday) every morning quickly became a very important part of my healing journey. I was able to find myself and my happiness, and regain the strength to solve the puzzles in my own life.
The exercises are flexibility and strength training. It’s not quite the same as Indian yoga, but very effective for my back pain and other body ache. After 1 month, I actually found myself more flexible and gained more muscle mass. And my upper back pain was gone.
Before coming to BNB, I didn’t really enjoy meditation and find it hard to manage my thoughts while sitting still. But the meditation conducted here (right after the exercises) was really relaxing and helped me to open up myself. I felt I couldn’t get enough of it every time.
I love Tai-Chi. It feels like doing meditation with my body. Master Kim pushes us to memorize the poses, which added a healthy amount of challenge to my brain.
The brain and energy training is also interesting. It’s a different, eastern mental model to understand the world, physical and spiritual self. You kind of have to let go of the western sciences a little bit and open to this new way of thinking. The notion of energy has been a long running idea in Asian culture, and it’s kind of like the force in Star War. This way of think helped me to becoming mindful of my physical body, my emotion, and the rest of the world. I was able to live more in the present instead of regretting for the past or worry about the future.
I also found a collection of meditative music from Master Kim, which I have been playing everyday even outside the class. And, also the tea is really meditative!
Overall, I really enjoyed the classes and training from Master Kim in BNB. It has helped me so much! I hope to continue to come regularly after returning back to work.

I had been wanting to go back to taichi although I was scared I wouldn’t be able to follow all the forms. Turns out at the Ridgefield center, not only do they not focus on form, but also they teach us yoga and many other concepts through movement. I’ve had immediate results: Health-wise, discipline-wise and even friend-wise!
I’ve even started waking up earlier and I’m able to follow a routine which allows me to get things done on a daily basis.
A must try discipline!

I recently did an introductory session with Master Kim because my friend (who has been participating for months) recommended it to me when I visited her. I absolutely love Master Kim’s energy, he is very welcoming and kind. After just one session I was left feeling more joyful, calm, and mentally healthy despite coming into class with a heavy mental load from a stressful day. My body felt revitalized and warm in the best way. Although I don’t live in the area, I will definitely be returning to Master Kim’s sessions whenever I get the chance. It is very much worth it. The sense of community in the studio is also wonderful!

Joined Brain & Body Ridgefield, two years ago. After my first visit I was convinced, the program works.
I feel energized after each session. I lost 30 + lbs and feel 30 years younger. I’m 69 years old with the body of a much younger man. Tai Chi and Yoga at B&B Ridgefield, is a way of life for me now. I totally believe in the power of Self Healing Now.

I really enjoyed my tai-chi introductory class with Master Kim. I like that he goes into some foundational knowledge of tai-chi before diving into the movements. My energy felt more grounded and my circulatory system improved by the end of the class. Specifically, my feet felt warm the rest of the day and through the night when they typically get cold. I would love to continue taking classes with Master Kim.

I’m not one to write reviews, but I want to write one about Body and Brain Yoga, and Master Kim.
Master Kim is a great instructor. Yoga has helped me in body, mind, and spirit. With Master Kim always explaining how to do a particular stretch or breathing exercise and the benefits of that stretch or breathing exercise. He has helped alleviate a lot of pain I’ve been experiencing and I’m in better shape than I have been for the last 20 years. And I’ve lost 20 lbs. since I’ve joined 5 months ago.

The class has no energy, you do couple of stretches and then you sit down, close your eyes and move your hands “to collect energy”, while the instructor is staring at his phone.
This yoga place is terrible. The instructor/owner is a manipulator and a liar, he said that he has 2 other instructors who teach at the studio, but I never saw any other instructors besides him.
Most days, I was the only student in the class, there was only couple of days in a month that I saw at most 3 students, including me. The instructor is judgmental and makes you feel uncomfortable. The place smells like garlic and it’s very potent. Garlic will never fix this place.
If you see the profiles of the users that have posted 5 stars for this place, you will see that most of them are fake.
Save your money and energy. Skip this place.

I've been a member for a little over ten years now. When I first joined the Body and Brain Yoga family, I was in desperate need to improve my health and overall wellbeing, primarily instigated by external stressors. I believe it ultimately saved my life. Once I regained my health, I was able to open my heart and mind to see my situation more clearly. This center will teach you to heal physically and spiritually. It will help you find your coordination between health, heart, and mind, which will illuminate your surroundings and help you work through your daily struggles, whether it involves your family, work, or relationships. During the Pandemic, I stopped by training and returned recently. My return again helped me realize the benefits of this place. I wanted to share this review in hopes to help others who are seeking to improve their overall well-being. Through the ten-year membership, I have come across four specific masters, and Master Kim so far has been one of the most genuine instructors who are willing to work with you for your particular need.

Do you believe in the power of self healing?
Over the years and againts all odds I had practiced dahn yoga now called body and brain.
The exercises helped to release my back pain from seating at work for more than 8 hours a day, then meditation helped me center my chain of thoughts.
I thank every Masters I had over the years; I learned a lot from each of you.
Three years ago I was diagnosed with retinal detachment and I was scheduled for surgery I could not see from my right eye and the left was getting blurry.
I decided not to have surgery. The risk were too high. Yesterday my eye Dr confirmed my eyes were fine and wanted to know what I did. He confirmed that yoga and self healing worked; unfortunately in modern medicine this is taboo.
This reinforces what I learned over the years at "body and brain" you are the master of your mind, and you can heal yourself and you can help other.
Thank you Master Daniel for reminding me that I had the power to cure myself.
Thank you Master Kim for encouraging me to tell my story and never to forget we are indeed the masters of our body and mind.

Joining B&B Ridgefield has been the best decision I've made this year! I have been going to PT & Chiro for many years for basically the same ailments. But one month in doing Yoga Tai Chi and I've noticed significant changes both emotionally and physically. Thank you to the person who left the flyer on my doorstep. I am attending classes at this studio for half a year, and there has not be a class, after which I would not feel great, both physically and emotionally. The instructor pays close attention to all students, no matter whether they are beginners or more advanced, attending onsite or remotely. This is a very special place, I love it!

I wanted to write this review for any one not sure what to expect. I found this establishment after looking for ways to help my anxiety and learned Tai Chi and Yoga would be helpful. I never tried anything like this before but my anxiety was getting worse and I said lets see. When I first started I was nervous but the instructor and the other members were so warm and inviting that I felt at ease and have since grown very close. I appreciate the time spent there and feel better after each class. The location is very clean and easy to get to. The exercises are fun but a great workout at the same time and my meditation is getting better after each lesson. I would highly recommend to any one looking to help remove some stress in their life and also get back in shape at the same time.

This is s a great Facility with a great Instructor. The Facility is clean, people are friendly and Tai Chi has worked wonders for me, by providing exercise, relaxation techniques and meditation. I was in pain -hip problem, and with each session I am feeling better and better . This is the best place where you can understand your body and learn techniques to heal yourself. Story begins 7 years ago when I have been attending this school for 6 month program and my problem went away. After that I was good for next 7 years until I run George Washington 10k and hip problem come back again. At the end of 2020 I signed up again , this time for 1 year program. Why? Because I know already that is worth it and is working. I wish them all the best. P.s Very good atmosphere

After going to chiropractors for many years for my lower back problem, someone suggested I try Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi. Over time, the classes helped strengthen my back and alleviate the pain. As a senior citizen, I feel great, can do more than I used to. I also have neuropathy in my feet. With a few simple exercises that I do everyday, my blood circulation improved in my legs and I do not have to take medication for the pain. Body & Brain Yoga gave me a new chapter in my life in a professional and caring environment. I have been doing body and.brain yoga for 7 years and have grown so much in different areas. The class offering poses, stretches, and guided breathing. I had no idea just how much stress I was carrying inside. The exercises helped me figure out where I could find that stress and how to improve it. I am thirty one years old, and I feel like I'm in better shape than I was when I was eighteen. The masters know what they are doing, I felt like they were caring and genuine in their tips and in the way that they conducted the class. While the exercises looked easy, they are deceptively challenging. I feel like I get a better work out here than I ever did at the gym.

After a few years searching for a yoga center that felt like a haven for healing and loving my body and brain, I've finally found it. The instructors Lim & Juyoung are some of the nicest, most caring, and insightful instructors I've come across. The relatively small sessions provide for intimate sessions where the instructors really get to know you well. There is no doubt in my mind that they deeply care about improving your health through yoga and mindfulness. The only problem (if i may even call it that) is that I would love to attend sessions more often, but alas, we all must tend to our work and life at home to some extent. I hope to be able to make even more time for it in the near future!
In the past two months that I've been a member, I've already felt significant improvements to the lower back pains and a bunch of other pains caused by scoliosis. I can only imagine how my body will feel in just a few years of consistent training. I'm very exited to continue attending classes here into the distant future.

Being part of the Body & Brain Yoga family has been very special to me, it has inspired me to bring meaning and purpose into my life in so many ways.
During this wonderful journey, I have made many friends. The multicultural classrooms though me life lessons that opened my eyes to a multidimensional mind, to understand and re-connect with my soul and grow.
Through the Body & Brain Yoga I have learned professionalism, discipline, and leadership in a higher perspective. Leadership that is not only about what I can do for myself, but what I can lead others to do for themselves; it is about building character to become stronger and more compassionate.

After driving by and passing this yoga center for years, one day I decided to stop and check it out. I tried it first for 3 months and went on and on, now I have been here for 8 years. I think this is one of the best decisions I made for myself. The exercises help me release stress and tension and help me to be more balanced and centered. The place is clean, simple and spacious. Body and Brain has been a positive step forward for me. A year ago I was so depressed, confused, and scatter brained. Yoga and meditation has helped me focus on the now and feel better living from day to day. I've never thought about breathing before and honestly initially thought the idea was silly; to focus on breathing- isn't it just automatic . Who would have thought that mediation was so beneficial . It was difficult at first, trying to convince my mind to think such things that I would never normally trust would work. I couldn't understand trying to venture to a place in my mind or to "stop thinking" but over the last month I've actually felt like I achieved it .
