I've been a member of Body and Brain since 2018, starting in the Ramsey studio and gladly driving to Wyckoff in order to continue practicing. Having taken other yoga classes, the instructors, style and techniques employed at BnB are a game changer. While challenging, the classes can always be modified for individual limitations. I look forward to the fun classes and always leave feeling centered and positive.

My journey with Body&Brain Yoga started in 2006 when, as I was looking for a yoga class, I accidentally discovered the Oradell Yoga and Tai Chi Center. I immediately realized that it was exactly what I had been looking for - a combination of the classic yoga and Eastern principles and practices important to me. It so happened, however, that due to a tragic event in my life, in 2011 I stopped attending classes. Years went by, and though I was physically active, something was clearly missing from my life. And then, in 2018, I discovered the Wyckoff Body&Brain Center. from day one it was both familiar and new: the practice itself, its principles and everyday benefits for my mind and body. However, it turned out that the most important feature of the Wyckoff Center was its team of instructors: the immediate connection they establish with members, their genuine care and involvement with members' growth, health, and overall stability - especially in the times like this. The online classes offered during the pandemic have become the backbone of my life, something that strengthens my immune system and sustains me emotionally. I can't wait for the time when I am again able to attend classes in person, but I am deeply grateful to all the masters at the center for their heroic efforts to keep me and other members focused and attuned to the energy within.

I have been on online participant of the Ramsey Body and Brain Yoga for the past year. The online classes offered during the pandemic have been an essential part of my life. Participating in the online classes offers the same benefits of a live class, but from the safety and convenience of ones own home. Classes enhance my ability to focus within, and create balance and harmony within my own body, mind and spirit. I love both the physical and mental challenges of the classes. I started attending classes at Ramsey Body and Brain in January of 2019. My body was stiff and my energy was low. I find the classes at Ramsey Body & Brain benefiting my well being!!! My body feels a lot more flexible! Classes combine Yoga, Tai Chi, meditation, which I enjoy!!!

I signed up for a Tai Chi class about 6 or 7 weeks ago. I wasn't feeling well and knew I needed to move my body, but I couldn't survive a gymn. A half an hour into the class, I realized, it was too much for me. The instructor offered to work with me in private sessions to get my body stronger and unblocked. After five sessions I lost 8 lbs. without trying. I had modified my protein and carb intake, but allowed myself "good" pizza or pasta once a week. I increased eating fresh vegetables, fresh juices and no sugar. My energy, my breathing and my body is changing and becoming healthier. I've finally found a practice I could commit too. Every hour is a different routine depending on how I'm feeling. The studio is immaculate and safe. It's a different kind of practice that is effective. And, the instructor, Nancy emphasizes positive rhetoric and movement to help you push through your blocked energy. The point is not to use energy like at a gymn, but to harness and unblock the energy within your own core. She teaches you "how" to increase circulation through specific movement and breathing. I feel more confident and hopeful that I'm on the mend. It's just a beginning for me, but the center offers many classes and forms of movement to unblock, physical, mental and emotional resistance. By "feeling" your body through the exercises, you harness your thoughts and manifest healing in your body.

Joining Body & Brain in Ramsey has been one of the best moves I’ve made in the last few months. I have seen a noticeable difference in my posture and flexibility. Friends have been telling me I’m looking “really good” although they’re unable to put their finger on exactly why. My overall temperament seems to be calmer. I feel that taking class first thing in the mornings sets up my day. My body is nicely stretched and my brain is nourished, ready for whatever may come my way - thanks to B&B, all from the comfort of my living room via my iPad. As a relatively new member, I have monthly individual evaluations with the Center Manager to answer my questions, modify my form, and just get a general feeling of belonging.

Since joining Body & Brain several months ago my vitality, posture and coordination have all undergone marked improvement. I’m beginning to experience life’s energy in a new and deeply personal way. As a vocalist, I’ve found new exciting connections to my own voice. Overall, I’ve found new calm strength to meet life’s daily challenges.
All this is made possible by the expert and caring core of instructors and a community of mutually supportive students. Classes have great variety and are challenging while allowing newbies such as myself to do as much as we can at our own pace to get in touch with our bodies.
The healing sessions that are available for additional cost are worth their weight in gold, and have helped my energy flow more freely, allowing me new insights into my own being.

The Body & Brain staff are knowledgeable, caring, and patient. They have gone through great effort to create online training experiences so students may safely continue their growth at home during this COVID era. They take an interest in each student’s “current condition” and present opportunities for coaching them towards further growth. During these challenging times, their training has been a valued counterbalance to daily stressors. They and the fellow students feel like “family”, and that is a wonderful thing to be able to say.

I have anxiety. I have been to body and Brain for a private healing and have learned the practice of belly button healing and breathing exercises. Belly button healing and breathing have been game changing in my last few weeks of post partum maternity leave. They center me and leave me feeling more calm. Body & Brain Yoga/Tai Chi is one of the best things I've ever done for myself. The Center in Wyckoff is peaceful, clean and welcoming. Every class includes a combination of meridian stretching, yoga and tai chi postures, and meditation. The classes have helped me become stronger inside and alleviated the symptoms of a chronic ailment. The Brain aspect has also helped me to be stronger emotionally and has led me to try things I thought I would never do. The Body & Brain instructors are all great and give you a lot of individual attention. Body and Brain Wyckoff is the most holistic practice I've ever experienced.
Since my review above, Body & Brain Yoga/Tai Chi has really worked hard to keep us healthy through the pandemic. Live classes are streamed online via Zoom. This has given me the opportunity to continue practicing at home and maintaining my health. The class content is pretty much what you would get in person. I am so appreciative!

I started taking Tai Chi at Brain & Body in Summer 2019 and I am absolutely amazed at how it has changed me. First, I have grown stronger physically and have lost the knee pain and shoulder pain I dealt with for a long time. What's even better is that I now use the movements from class at home to get a long-lasting reduction in stress release in between sessions. As a bonus, my clothes are getting loose, as well.

I have been attending yoga classes in Body & Brain at Wyckoff, NJ for about 6 months now. I love this facility as this is home away from home. It is very clean / neat punctual and the instructors are very friendly and always take care in paying personal attention to each and every student. There are a lot of variations and every class is different from the other, but each class covers the basic stretching and breathing exercises. I feel relaxed and stress free after every class and in fact my blood pressure has shown significant reduction in values. I am recommending everyone to try this and get the benefit of leading a better life, by learning their techniques.

About the facility in Wyckoff, NJ
I have been going to Body and Brain Yoga in Wyckoff, NJ and it has been a phenomenal experience. I love the positive and loving vibes in the facility. Garam (Head of the facility) is so loving and warm. All the instructors are amazing and friendly. They really care for you and treat you with so much love you feel like family. They share amazing gems of wisdom with you during the class that helps you emotionally, physically and mentally. They're not just another yoga center, they’re exceptional in the ways they take care of you as a whole.
About my symptoms and health
Just within the period of three months my uti has improved so much, no pain or painful sensations anymore. My indigestion has improved a lot, I can digest the foods that i wasn't able to without any problem. Even with tea i used to have palpitations but i don’t have them anymore. My gastric pains are much better now. No more bloating! My groin area pain and lower back pains are almost gone. I have a good night sleep now as compared to before. My overall energy is so much better, I can work all day without getting much tired. They teach us some pressure point massages to improve our energy and pains. I once applied that technique to my husband who came from work very tired and complained of pain in his body and it improved his energy right away and minimize his pains.

I’ve been a member of Ramsey Body & Brain Center since 2017, and wow on the awakenings. I thought I was coming in to exercise primarily, but the training goes way beyond just the physical if you want it to. I finally found the missing piece - energy.
I’ve neglected my energy all these years and at Ramsey Body & Brain, not only am I exercising and stretching my body, but I’m also clearing stagnant energy and brightening my spirit. It’s a disciplined practice that continues to challenge my endurance.
I first discovered the center through the belly button healing workshop. I sought Body & Brain Yoga in 2015 as an alternative to Western medicine when I could no longer tolerate the discomfort caused by psoriasis, complicated by candida. Through practice, I learned how to connect my mind to my body and eliminate the painful cycles of itching, stinging, burning and weeping that I had been enduring. I also ended the skin outbreaks associated with those cycles.

I have been a member at Wyckoff Body & Brain since 2005. I came to the Center complaining of overall stiffness; chronic neck, shoulder and lower back pain. In addition, I suffered from a form of IBD, which was very uncomfortable. All of this influenced my overall sense of well-being and I knew I needed to do something for myself. Within 3 months of regular practice all my symptoms disappeared and have been gone ever since.
After 13 years at the Center, I marvel at the consistency of the feel of the space. The Center is calming, and clean and fresh at all times - a real sanctuary from the environment and circumstances we experience outside the Center.
Member care comes first at Wyckoff Body & Brain. Instructors are always warm, welcoming and genuinely concerned about the member’s condition and satisfaction. Member care extends beyond providing consistent class quality. I started my search for a yoga studio more than 10 years ago and found everything I was looking for at Body & Brain. It is in a convenient location with parking. The facility is immaculate and the training room has windows and a fantastic cushioned floor. The staff is very welcoming and listens to your needs. I have been a member of Wyckoff BodynBrain center since 2005. The Center provides a lot of personal attention and makes it comfortable for each member regardless of skill. The floors are matted and very clean which is a big plus. I have never experienced matted floors at other local yoga centers. Bodynbrain yoga really gives me the opportunity to relax my mind and improve my physical condition. The staff focuses on guiding you toward your own personal goals. I have been enjoying the relaxing atmosphere of Wyckoff Body & Brain since 2014. I find the yoga and tai-chi classes are both challenging and fun. The trainers are skilled at making sure people of all levels have a great experience. They help you with the postures and they have showed me exercises which have helped me sleep much better.
What is so powerful is that the classes truly cater to the mind, body and soul. I felt the benefits immediately, from my very first class. I have learned how to create healthy energy circulation in my body which allows me to focus inside more and be less distracted by stress. Wyckoff Body& Brain has been a part of my daily life since the fall of 2016. From the moment I entered the center, I could feel such a sense of peacefulness and energy which has been so healing. Very pushy and money hungry. The lady in charge always tries to sell you stuff and keeps insisting on getting you involved with their cult like group agendas, i wanted to just get in exercise and leave but she was so pushy that after paying so much for their classes, I just left to stop them calling me, it worked but i lost my tuition. Stay away and save your money

I love this center! I'm not going to lie, when I initially learned about the practice of Dahn Yoga, I found out some "interesting" things about it. However, this center is incredible! I've practiced Mysore style yoga for about 2-3 years. I'm not familiar with Everything Yoga, this class has been great for meditation. I deeply appreciate the teachers for their authenticity,knowledge, and commitment to a positive lifestyle. It is a practice with deep traditions and lessons to be learned. I adore all my fellow students and their own energy levels as well! I highly recommend you give it a try and see for yourself what it's really about.

I suffered for years with IBS and went through every test and treatment possible.Since practicing Dahn Yoga,I have come to realize the underlining problem was my body reacting to stress. Dahn Yoga has taught me how to proactively participate in healing myself from my inside to my outside!
I've run into friends who notice that I look healthier and stronger and ask what I've been doing. I truly believe its what I call "not your daughter's yoga class!", but a yoga where we heal ourselves on all levels,physical,emotional and mental.

From the moment I first walked into BR Holistic Healing, I knew this was much more than yoga. It is a way of life, rooted in an ancient eastern philosophy that really resonates with me. What connects me to this practice is its liberal, non-denominational practice that accepts all people no matter their beliefs or background. I am a very shy person but the center’s patience and acceptance has allowed me to express myself. Events in my life seemed to pull at my strings, forcing me to feel this way or that way. But I learned that I am the only one responsible for my happiness: no one and nothing else. They say peace begins with a smile and I wear one often now.
The trainers at BR Holistic Healing are unlike anyone I have ever met. There is no insincerity here. The trainers show a genuine desire to help me transform into a better me. But there is an even balance of compassion and discipline, as they remind me of my goals. Every time I come to class I am empowered to reach them. Since the start of my practice, I have experienced better posture, greater flexibility and have adopted a new sensible way of seeing the world. This has been the most positive influence in my life. I was not a peaceful person, nor was I disciplined. But I experienced both of these since my orientation day. I know that I am headed in the right direction and Dahn Yoga has all the tools I need to get me there. I am very grateful.

I fell in love with BR Holistic Healing the moment I walked through the door. This feeling has only grown deeper since that first visit in May of 2005. I'm now in my mid-60s and through years of consistent practice at the center, I can manage my daily physical and emotional challenges well. And I am able to live my life with a very positive outlook.
The practice of meridian stretching, joint opening, breathing and energy meditation allows me to deeply focus in the feeling of my body, so that I am able to feel which areas in my body need attention. Through deep concentrated breathing practice, my body is strong and my mind is quite clear.
The instructors are caring and compassionate and the members are always supportive of one another. The class schedule has been just right for the varying demands of work and family. And the center offers many programs which can help you move forward on your road to wellness. I highly recommend BR Holistic Healing to anyone who is interested in their healing journey.
