I had previously done Crossfit pre-pandemic but my fitness routine had fallen off for a number of years. I found Bridge in 2024 and was quickly drawn back in. Greg has done an amazing job of building a supportive community that is welcoming for people at all ages and fitness levels. I've been participating both individually and with my teenaged kids (13 &16) and the classes have been challenging and fulfilling. There is nothing like struggling through something hard with your kids and celebrating a shared success.
On a more personal note I've seen real changes in my 51 year old body. More muscle and flexibility. Better endurance. I'm healthier than I've been in almost a decade. Recently I had a physical and my tests showed I had dropped 40 points in cholesterol and gained 6 lbs of lean muscle. While Crossfit wasn't the only factor (I made serious diet changes to) it certainly contributed to my improved health.
Bridge has been a wonderful community to be a part of. I'd strongly recommend it to anyone who is interested in improving their fitness in a healthy way.

Bridge is as good as it gets if you're looking for a supportive place to challenge yourself physically and mentally. Top notch coaching and good people make this truly a special place to train your mind and body.
Every coach I've worked with at Bridge is damn good and takes their role seriously. I've been to too many gyms that write a WOD on a white board and send you on your way with little more than a few words of encouragement between glances at the cell phone. Bridge coaches are engaged throughout every class, encouraging and advising each athlete on how we can get just a little better with each lift, movement and WOD.

I joined the Bridge Community in January 2024. My experience with Coach Jimmy Toppeta has been transformative!
Jimmy encourages me to tap into my inner strength while building my physical capabilities. This holistic approach has led to lasting changes that go beyond just the gym.
Investing in personal training has taken my fitness journey to new heights, allowing for a tailored approach that group classes didn’t provide. I realize now that the combination of physical and mental challenges I face are essential for growth. I am feeling stronger and more confident after each session.

The facilities are great but the best thing about Bridge are the coaches and the members! The environment is very safe, very caring , very careful and enthusiastic. I am in my early 60’s and never would have imagined that I would be doing this but I am really enjoying it so much and getting so much stronger. Their focus on me doing it right before doing more makes me feel like there is less chance I will hurt myself. I encourage you to try it out!!

I love BRidge for many reasons. Teachers make the workouts, interesting and varied. The accountability of being in a class brings out the best in me, in terms of putting in Max effort. I have made so many friends there. It’s a one stop shop for fitness and my social life:)
Here is just a small example of what it’s done for me. As anyone familiar with CrossFit or now, we never run more than 1 mile at a time. By the way, I love the running parts of our workouts 200 m 300 m 400 m etc. On Saturday, I ran a 5K, with no preparation whatsoever. Running it and finishing it was pretty much a piece of cake, even though I didn’t train specifically for it. Being able to do that, gave me a real sense of how CrossFit contributes to my overall fitness and my personal sense of being able to take on whatever physical challenges might come my way. I joined Bridge Athletics (Crossfit), because it was easier to commute to. I started with personal training and with the push of my coach I joined the group classes. The coaches are not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in helping each member reach their goals safely and effectively. The sense of community here has been very good for me; everyone supports and motivates each other through every workout, making even the toughest WODs feel achievable. Joining Bridge Athletics crossfit has been one of the best decisions I've made for my fitness journey! I highly recommend it.

Bridge is an exceptional CrossFit gym and community. Warm and welcoming to all levels. Before coming here I’d never done CrossFit, but the team made it feel hand-in-glove. Stronger than I’ve ever been now attending their classes that are available across the week and smoothly plan-able in their app. Even lets you log and track PRs as you work with their outstanding coaches. Bridge is a world class training facility. It is an incredibly professional environment in which the owners, coaches, and athletes are all really supportive and knowledgable. Whether you are looking to compete, get in better shape or feel better, this is the place to be. The coaches really take the time to work on your form and make incremental improvements. Since I have been going there, I have made significant strides in strength and have seen my resistance to injuries greatly improve. I would highly recommend everyone to give Bridge a try, you won’t go to another gym again!

Bridge Athletics was my introduction to CrossFit. The owners, coaches, athletes all made the gym a welcoming environment. All of the coaches became as invested in my progress as me. They're encouraging and not pushy. I could openly discuss my fitness successes and failures without being judged. Bridge was built to be a community and it has totally succeeded. I’ll be honest, I decided to try going to Bridge because it is the closest gym to my house and I was lazy. Now, I may still be lazy, but I absolutely LOVE working out with the Bridge community — the encouragement from the coaches + other members is incredible, the workouts are fun, the atmosphere is communal and kind. I’ve never been a champion athlete (read: picked last for every dodgeball team in high school gym class) but I feel like a champ every time I get inspired to try something hard and surpass my own expectations at Bridge Athletics.

I was brand new to CrossFit and slightly intimidated when seeing how strong and easy everyone made it looked. Everyone at Bridge Athletics was so welcoming, not only the coaches but the other members as well. This place isn't for everyone. It is for those who regularly celebrate the progress of others, in addition to themselves. Bridge is a great community of athletes and a special place to work on becoming a better version of yourself. It is not cliquey and everyone is super friendly, I felt like I was part of the team on day one. The coaches are ALL extremely knowledgeable and professional, and take the time to learn every member's name, strengths, goals, injuries or concerns, etc. All of the workouts are scalable and accessible to members of every experience level, while being fun, varied, and challenging. Can't recommend this place enough!

I was visiting family in town for the holiday and I can’t say enough about this gym! From the staff (we met Greg, Ryan and Fernando) to the everyone working out - the whole atmosphere made me feel at home! Whenever I travel I love to drop in a do a great workout and bridge athletics definitely pushed me to work (and within my level). I will definitely be coming back when I come back into town! I knew from the moment I walked into Bridge I knew it was special. The atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive, the coaches are quality and caring and the programming is challenging, effective and thoughtful. I have been a member of many fitness and boutique places and this is the cake for creating the right environment for personal development and community. Greg, Annie, Fernando and the other coaches are just genuine people who believe in helping us all be the best athletes and simply best humans we can be. The culture they have created trickles across to all the members, many whom I can now call friends. Doesn't matter what level or age you are or background you have. You can get the best workout for your needs without any pressure but also with the right coaching to push yourself safely in a way and make progress you didn't realize was possible. Showing up on a whim out of curiosity was one of the best things I have done for myself in this past year. Try it - you won't have any regrets!

I want to acknowledge that I have not taken a class here, BUT I feel like this review is essential. I have been living in the apartment complex where this gym resides for a bit over a year, and I can truthfully say that they have made our homes unbearable. Our neighborhood is constantly in a discussion about how horrendous it is to live so close to them. The gym built out two garages that open doors directly toward apartments, so any music played or sound that happens SHOOTS out at OUR HOMES. I am sure they are decent people working and working out there. Still, image waking up at 7 am to the SLAMMING of massive barbells and weights on concrete (WHICH HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY), or BLASTING (LITERALLY BLASTING) DANCE MUSIC AT ALL HOURS, image putting a your child down for a nap to that? Or pulling in or out of the driveway to gym men SPRINTING in and out of the parking lot without even glancing to see if a car is coming. They are the worst neighbors possible, and the fact that anyone thinks it's okay to have a CROSSFIT GYM this close to HOMES is INSANE.

There's something special about Bridge Athletics that made me decide to join just after attending one "walk-in" class. The coaches and members are very welcoming, supportive, helpful and friendly. There's a sense of community every time you walk into Bridge Athletics. WOD classes are well planned and designed with a good combination of strength and conditioning. It is a place to work a sweat and have fun together. I highly recommend Bridge Athletics.

I started at Bridge Athletics a few months ago but have done crossfit on and off at a few different gyms in the last 6 years. I can so undoubtedly this gym has won me over very quickly with being one of the best I have been to so far, balancing being both supportive and understanding while also pushing you to want to be better. There is a sense of community and positivity here that makes it easy to walk in the doors no matter your skill level or however long it has been since you last worked out. On top of all this they also provide amazing workouts that are very clearly well planned out and they maximize on every second that is spent in a one hour class. I’m so happy I found this gym!

I actually tried this gym with no intention of actually joining. I actually live within walking distance and would see the CrossFitters from the window. I just knew I would never be able to do any of the movements and the gym wouldn’t be for me. But I tried it anyway. I can not express how wrong I was! The coaches on this team are warm, kind and supportive. The atmosphere is welcoming for everyone.The workouts are programmed to meet each individual where they are, challenging the more advanced athletes and the beginner athletes alike. I have grown so much in my time with Bridge! I am so happy with my progress. I can do soooo much more physically and am proud to be in this community.

I am a new member at Bridge Athletics and already feel like family. All the coaches and members are so warm, welcoming and encouraging. One of my favorite things about CrossFit is the community and this box seems to have a great one. I have also found that the coaches are educated and smart when it comes to fitness. Have been a member since the day the doors first opened! Loyal, dedicated and knowledgeable coaches who give 100% of themselves at each class! It’s become a home away from home with a great community of athletes of all levels and backgrounds. My kids also go to various programs they have for teens which have been great for confidence building, strength development and agility. You're not just another customer for them, you're a person. You matter. Your health, your opinion, your needs. They will work with you to make sure YOU grow.
I've never been one to commit to exercise, and my fitness is always the first to be sacrificed for even the most trivial imbalance. That was until I joined Bridge. I find myself actively trying to work Bridge into my piecemeal schedule of freelancing and teaching and running a business. This is because they care. If you ever need anything, they will work with you.
If you just want to lose some weight and feel better, or get buff and feel like a deity, you've got friends at Bridge.

I've been a member here for around 18 months and it's by far the best decision I've made. Before joining I played competitive soccer and attended normal gyms regularly, however at 35 I am now the strongest and fittest I have been in my entire life and it's all down to the coaching and programming at Bridge.
The atmosphere here is the perfect blend of relaxed but with expectations for all it's members. Whether it's your first workout or you're an elite athlete the coaches and members will always drive you to achieve more than you thought possible.
I cannot reccomend this place, it's staff and members enough.

After watching my 13 year old come home from her classes and trainings, feeling confident and stronger, I had to get in on the action. I started in September 2018, and it was the best decision I made. I run faster today than I ever did when I played high school sports! I lift weights that I thought were out of my league! And I love love LOVE working with the barbell! The capability of what I can accomplish makes me live my best day, every day.

We relocated to Montclair and I dropped in for trial classes at several CrossFit gyms before choosing Bridge. The classes are small enough to get personal attention from the coach at each class, warm ups are thorough and well tailored the workout, and the community is great

Best training community I’ve ever been a part of.
Coaches are meticulous in their prep and observation of their clients. Not only do I know when I am making moves correctly but my coach gives me encouraging feedback so I can learn when I am off course. I feel stronger and happier every time I step foot through the Bridge doorway.

I’m a newbie to CrossFit and my husband and I joined this gym in May after signing up for the free trial class. I am not going to lie that I was intimidated at first by CrossFit before the trial but I was pleasantly surprised by the supportive and encouraging atmosphere of Bridge Athletics and their coaches. The gym starts you off in a series of small group trainings (4 people max) over four one hour sessions where fundamentals are carefully explained. We are encouraged to focus on our form and I think this helps avoid injuries. At the end of fundamentals you graduate and can join the regular WODs in the box. We are two months in and I can say that I am already seeing the results physically and mentality. The gym is very inclusive and has diversity across age, gender, and body types. Not only are the coaches supportive but so are the fellow members of this gym. I love that I don’t have to plan out a workout, the progression of the WODs allow you to scale and challenge yourself as you build up the different skill sets. If you are looking for a challenging and supportive fitness community than I would highly recommend Bridge Athletics.

I’ve been a member of Bridge Athletics for a little over a year and absolutely love this gem of a gym! The coaches are skilled and offer differentiated strengths and points of view on fitness, providing for a well rounded experience overall. The programming is expertly crafted and always challenging, but not intimidating. The vibes are always positive and the management fosters a very collective / neighborly atmosphere. Crossfit is not my main sport but I have able to incorporate the workouts into my routine without feeling any pressure to make it my main athletic focus while still being able to improve. Went to drop in yesterday! Kate was the coach and ran an amazing squat class! The community is really strong and I felt super welcome when I walked it!

I started March 2018, previously having zero experience with a barbell. The positive attitude, friendly and knowledgeable coaching and safe workouts have helped me make huge progress! The class size is small but dynamic and the members are approachable and encouraging.
