Coach Andrew is the perfect mix of patient, energetic, and skilled. My son went from nervous to confident in just a few classes because Coach Andrew knows exactly how to push the kids without overwhelming them. You can tell he genuinely cares and brings out the best in every kid who walks in.

We started our daughter at 2yo in the sweet peas & she is now in the 4 pea with Coach Summer (same as day one) & my littlest is in Coach Julia’s two pea class. I could not have asked for more patient, encouraging & inclusive group of coaches & staff members. My girls have learned so many skills, both physically & socially and are learning how to interact with adults and other kids. I’ll add that my daughter has a physical limitation but it has never phased the staff. My daughter is treated like every other child, meeting her right where she is at on the day. Even in the pool (where we just switched from another facility) Coach Greg has created a rapport with my eldest in a few short weeks, she cant wait to go each week! Shes also learned more in the short time we’ve been in swim than she did in a year at the other location we were at.
One other bonus here is the ability to watch everything your child is doing from behind a glass wall & even video feed from every corner of the gym if you have kids in the little or big gym & even the pool. My kiddos love coming & my oldest has developed a great relationship with her coaches. If it’s not already obvious we love Bright stars & if you have any reservations, just go check them out. The second you walk in the door you will feel at home.

We had my son’s 2nd birthday party and Bright Stars today and I cannot say enough about how absolutely phenomenal the staff was. From the first second we walked in the building, they were unloading my bags for me and setting everything up which took a huge weight off my shoulders and allowed me to greet guests as they started to arrive.
All of the kids had so much fun in the gym. We had a wide range of ages in our party and every single kid had a blast and were included in all of the activities.
I had ordered all of the food to be delivered around 5:30 and when it was 5:45 and it hadn’t arrived yet, I called the pizza place who could only inform me that it was ‘out for delivery’. I apologize, I don’t remember the staff member’s name, but he offered to call them back and see if he could go himself to pick up all of the food if it meant it would get here faster! Luckily it showed up a few moments later, but I was stunned at how wonderfully the staff treated us. As everyone was eating, the staff was walking around to all the guests offering to get them more food or drinks. I could go on and on.
Before today I had only taken my son to one open gym at Bright Stars and we loved it then, but the experience today just solidified how amazing this place really is.
I am so glad I chose to celebrate his birthday there and would recommend it to anyone!!!

THIS IS *THE* PLACE TO HAVE YOUR CHILD’S BIRTHDAY PARTY.

My daughter attends weekly gymnastics classes at Bright Stars. She wanted to have a “gymnastics” themed birthday party at Bright Stars, which I was happy to commit to for her due to how much she enjoys her weekly class.

I booked the 4:30pm time slot with the “extended time” option. The party in its entirety was two hours (1.5 gym time and 30 mins for food/cake). Their party pricing is great for the area, the amount of time was perfect, and this space 100% worth the money.

From the second I walked in, Amanda and Anna were kind, friendly, and extremely helpful. They aided with setting up place settings, unpacking boxes, and they even offered to assist with unloading things from my car— which made the set up smooth, quick, and efficient.

From there, the staff and event space just continued to get better and better as the party went on. I had a little over 20 children ages 8 and under. Amanda and Anna engaged with every single child and set up extremely fun activities for the children. It was a nice balance of structured play and free play. I had family members coming up to me and acknowledging how hard both staff members were working to ensure each and every child in my group, regardless of age, was having a great time.

Whenever I looked at my daughter throughout the night, she was smiling, laughing, and having the time of her life. It’s tough to find an event space that is affordable and fun for all ages— but I truly think that Bright Stars and their staff go above and beyond to ensure that they check ALL of the necessary boxes for a memorable childhood experience.

My 2 year old has been a part of the swim program and attending pre-school open gyms since she was 5 months old. Coach Pat is simply amazing with the babies in his swim class, always incorporating fun songs & games, and finding time to spend with each parent & baby focusing on their own progress. Brightstars changed my daughter’s life in the most POSITIVE way possible. She absolutely adores the coaches and her fellow students. Pros: We signed up for water babies class. The instructors really care for the kids and love each one of them.

Cons: My baby got sick after swim class. A baby threw up in the pool during our session and after swim class, my baby started becoming sick with diarrhea and vomitting for 4 days. When my husband told the coach during class that there was vomitting, the coaches were unsure what to do in the situation. I recommend having better protocol and training when they see poo or a kid/baby vomitting in the pool. They should have had everyone leave the pool, cancel class, and disinfect before people go in the pool again. I was pretty sure toddlers continued to play in the pool right after our waterbabies session and they did not test the clorine levels afterwards. This is a safety hazard where many people can get sick especially if during class you have our babies dip their faces in the water.

Went to my nieces annual gym show and for the amount of money this company is receiving I expected more of individual level performances. It seems this company wanted to fit in as much as possible in one viewing, had to split my attention between both of my nieces. Also, although my nieces participated in the show I thought it was cruel to have their direct parents pay for tickets. Next year I hope that each level gets their undivided attention on the floor and that an actual performance is put together instead of seeing them do routine practice.

Bright Stars Academy Sweet Pea Gymnastics has been incredible for our daughter. Once we transitioned out of the parent child classes, my daughter initially was so reluctant to want to attend class on her own. Luckily she quickly bonded with Coach Becky who made her feel comfortable and empowered her to be independent. Our daughter now absolutely loves going to gymnastics! My children and I have enjoyed Bright Stars immensely. You can tell that the coaches really care for their students. I have seen coaches make special trips and go out of their way to say hi to previous students and cheer on their progress, and you can tell that the coaches genuinely feel excitement when a student achieves a new skill. I’ve been going to Bright Stars since my daughter was 6 months old. We’ve done open gym, swim lessons, and plan to start gymnastics class in the winter! This place is truly a savior to any new mom and I hope everyone can experience everything it has to offer! Plus, the staff is always friendly and the owner makes an effort to meet all the new kids/families, which is nice to see :-)

Best place to send your kids for an afterschool activity! My kids LOVE the Ninja and Swim classes! Each week the kids work on different skills (agility, speed, etc.) and I can see the improvements in other sports. 10/10 reccomend

Make sure your kids actually want to do it before you sign them up. If they decide it’s not for them, as I’m sure kids often do, you’re out the tuition and the membership fee. No refunds or credits granted. Terrible customer service. I had one employee tell me I’d be credited for the classes we did not use, while someone else said that is not the case. Someone will take my children’s spots so the place will make double off my misreading of the terms of conditions.

We love Bright Stars and have been involved with their gymnastics, ninja and swim classes for the last 10 years. The facility is beautiful and the staff is always friendly and accommodating.

I would specifically like to acknowledge Coach Pat. My son was terrified of the water before we started swim lessons with Coach Pat. After just a few classes, thanks to Coach Pat’s fun yet firm style of teaching, my son was jumping into the pool and begging to go back for more swim classes. He gave my son the confidence to get in the water and the drive to be a better swimmer and I can’t thank him enough!

My kids absolutely love Bright Stars! My 2.5 year old has received Early Intervention from 6 months of age. Around a 1.5 her PT recommended Bright Stars Toddler classes/Sweet Peas program. She has progressed so much faster through her goals since starting class. It’s PT that she actually begs to go to ever week. She has learned to navigate her environment so much more safely, while building core strength. In addition she’s learning social skills such as following directions and waiting her turn. The classes are small and the instructors always meet her where she is at that day. They are really knowledgeable about child development and how to help her with her skills. They push her to grow without her realizing it and they make her feel safe and secure along the way. I love seeing the pride she has when she attains a new skill. I have older young children that also attend classes and various camps offered and they always have an amazing time! Bright Stars provides a safe and positive environment for all my little ones.

The staff is amazing, super-friendly and helpful! The programs and events are well done and the kids always enjoy them. Both of my girls started in the mommy and me programs, and while only one moved on to learning gymnastics, they both really did benefit from the body control and exercise received in those early programs. Bright Stars Academy is an awesome place to learn gymnastic, swimming, or ninja. My children enjoy all the classes they’ve been enrolled in. The special day camps like “Flip and Zip” were especially exciting for my son and friends.

Took my three year old son to Bright Stars Academy for nearly a month before he was kicked out. My child has Autism but is high functioning. My son was with a different instructor to make up a missed day due to the holiday. My son is fully potty trained but had an accident during one of the classes and removed his pants. The instructors were not near him, instead were talking amongst themselves, to see what was happening. We saw on the camera and immediately asked for our child to be retrieved so we can take him home. The next day we received a call stating that my child cannot come back. Bonnie explained that she has four children and understands how I felt, but until you have a child with special needs you do not know how it feels. Prior to the incident his instructor said he was doing good, he earned medals showing he was listening and trying to complete the tasks being given by the instructor. ONE accident and my little guy was kicked out. Bonnie even mentioned maybe bringing in "his aide", which he does not have nor need. Just sad! Where is the inclusion? You guys need to do better.

If I could give 100 stars I would ♥️ Andrew, the coach of my sons little warriors and Matt who teaches him swim- WOW. Patient, attentive, warm, enthusiastic- I mean I can go on! I am so appreciative of these two teachers- they are just incredible mentors to my son. They never give up on him + encourage him each step of the way. Also- the older gentlemen lifeguard who sits in the class- he cheers each and every kid on, gets them hype and they love it♥️

But- to Andrew + Matt I just want to say thank you- thank you for encouraging my little boy and helping to build his confidence. It truly takes a tribe to raise our babies- you are surely apart of that tribe for us 🤩♥️

We recently moved here from PA and have LOVED our short time at Bright Stars so far. The coaches are kind, helpful, encouraging but also very firm. My kids both love that they can see the older kids do advanced flips, rolls and other great routines; it is extremely encouraging.

The front desk is always very helpful and took the time to find classes that both my kids at different levels could be in class at the same time. That was so nice!

Go check them out, they have trials available if you are shopping around.

To the owner, please make better judgement regarding covid policies so that everyone can be safe and enjoy the gym.

Overall it's a good gym. It has always been pretty good. But I am writing this review to let you- the owner know about the current terrible mask policy.
It's a private business. You can make your rules. The delta variant is on the rise and given that kids under 12 have no vaccine option available, masks should be mandated.
The instructors should either be vaccinated or have masks on.
We have first hand experience from last year and how exponential rise works. So don't wait for things to get bad, a preemptive strategy is low risk than waiting for local government and CDC to tell you what to do. THINK! Last year this many numbers of covid and things were shut down in April. See the photo for specific data for Atlantic county. ( Source NYT)

Bright Stars Academy is a place of joy for children where they can learn to move their bodies in a way that scaffolds learning so that the kids can become excellent at the skills that are being taught.

The coaches are wonderful and I appreciate the curriculum that moves the kids through skills so that they are getting better and they move up to the next level so the kids can see their own progress.

The staff both front desk, coaches and behind the scenes admin are all friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. They want your kids and your family to have a wonderful experience and they do everything they can to make this happen.

The place is clean and there is easily available parking.

They have a great selection of classes and also events, activities, and camps for no school days and for summers. We love Bright Stars!

Bright Stars Gymnastics is the BEST child activity spot in the area! Open gym allows infants and toddlers the ability to roam freely and play together in a large, all indoor gym full of fun activities, obstacle courses, trampolines, foam pits and much, much more. This place is sanitized through the entire day to keep you and your kids healthy. The equipment is all top notch. We have our little Ninja Warriors who love working with their instructors and do all kinds of exercises, agility and climbing training. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and our children love going here. Try an open gym session to check it out, your kids will love it!

We have been going to Bright Stars for 6 years. We started in Mommy and me & now both of my girls are so proud to have joined the team. My husband and I have always commmended Bonnie and her staff for continuously upgrading the facility and maintaining a clean gym. I have NEVER seen a gym sanitize their equipment, mats and foam pit like Bright Stars!!! I am an absolute fanatic when it comes to cleanliness and I’m amazed at how the staff maintains such clean bathrooms and waiting rooms with so many children in classes each day.
Bonnie and all of the coaches are so caring and loving to the girls while continuing to make sure they get the BEST training and stay safe.
I can’t say enough about Bright Stars!!! We love it and have made some great friends over the years.

I observed a lack of supervision issue by an employee on 3-7-2015 at the facility and reported it to to management. I was called the following day about the issue by Bright Star. They viewed the video footage to confirm my complaint and they handled it through disciplinary action. It's one thing to know of an issue and do nothing. It's another to take action to prevent it from happening again. I can appreciate that.
