British Swim School's Paramus pool is very clean, temperature regulated. Instructors are very nice, patient with my 2.5 yrs son. Allows him to play on his own as well so that he gets comfortable in water. They use proper techniques/safety measures to teach him survival/swimming lessons. Price is very reasonable as well as compared to other locations/other swim schools. I will recommend for sure.

We have tried other swim schools but British Swim School is by far the best place for kids to learn swimming. My kids absolutely love Mercedes, she is amazing!!! My kids have asked me to cancel classes if she isn’t in. Mercedes customizes the lessons based on the kids personalities. My kids feel very comfortable and safe with her. My kids also adore Zahir. He knows all the kids names, he greets all the kids and makes the lessons fun for the kids. Chelsea is very personable, she greets everyone with a smile. Chelsea is very helpful, she answers all my questions and helps us with scheduling. Angela is very helpful with scheduling and Dina always helps with any issues that we have. I highly recommend British Swim School.

My daughter has been with British Swim School for over a year now and I have nothing but positive things to share about this program. It is challenging to deal with so many children of different ages, developmental stages, fears/strengths, sizes and even family dynamics. Swim Instructor Mercedes has been nothing but consistent and phenomenal this entire experience. She is so talented and gifted when it comes to teaching these amazing kids. Mercedes communicates so well with the families as well and really guides us to what our child needs. She adapts so well to every situation and turn of events these kids may do at times, and seamlessly integrates it into the lesson. My son was uncomfortable going in the water and scared of going alone. After joining the British swim school, he fearlessly jumps into the swimming pool and has fun on the water board. I see him learning different swimming techniques. I made a good decision in enrolling him here. Our daughter did British swimming before the pandemic when she was about two years old. She progressed quickly, going on her back and underwater without any problem. Then the pandemic started, and we had to move to another area where there wasn’t British Swim. The instructor in that area traumatized my daughter to the point that she wouldn’t get near the water. Then, the pandemic calmed down, and we returned to British Swim School, where she was assigned an excellent trainer named Crystal in LA Fitness Paramus. Crystal is an outstanding trainer who continues to help our daughter overcome her fears with her persistence and dedication. Thank you, Crystal and the British Swim School team!!

Myself and four of my cousins, ages 25-31, decided we finally want to learn to swim since it is definitely a skill we should have. We took classes with British Swim School and our experience has been phenomenal! We are in the Adult Level 1 classes and are in month two. Starting off with no swimming experience or skills, we have already learned to float, tread, backstroke, and freestyle, which is amazing!! I cannot recommend British Swim School enough. Both of my daughters attend British Swim School in Paramus. They really enjoy the lessons and the teachers are great, both my daughters have June as an instructor and she is great. Dena is very responsive and always provides help when I need it. The only negative feedback I have is there have been at least one instance where I was already at the pool and the instructor did not show up. I also think it would be great to get official monthly written updates from the school on your child’s progress. Especially since it’s not a typical swim class where you are in a class for six weeks and then you get a pass or fail. Without constant updates it’s hard to know your child’s progress, especially in my case when one of my daughters progressed slower than the other. Otherwise, I really like this school and recommend folks check it out!

I am in my late twenties and I take adult swim lessons with British Swim School. I started with no practical experience and a serious fear after a near drowning in my childhood. I can’t tell you I am the strongest swimmer, or graceful by any means, but I am getting there in no small part due to the patience of the instructors at British Swim School. I’ve been taking lessons for a few months and it’s helped my confidence around water immensely.

If you’re an adult like me who laments not learning how to swim as a kid/young adult, take the leap. You’ll be glad you did it. No one will condescend to you, everyone is patient and kind and teaches you at the speed YOU need. The staff is very responsive and helpful and they deserve an A++.

Pool is shared with hotel guests. Pool is dirty and foggy. Instructors seem friendly but they are not great instructors bc kids dont seem confident at all. Also, sometimes there are 4 kids attending the class in a 30 minute course, so your kid may actually learn for only about 5 minutes.

British Swim School been a wonderful experience for my daughter (6 months) so far! The owner - James, coordinator - Dena and instructor - Eliza have been very helpful and accommodating. Dena is always reaching out making sure we have a session booked around our busy work schedule. Eliza has been so great teaching our daughter. After 4 session she had our girl jelly fishing under water, floating on her back, and being very comfortable in the water. We started off with private lessons and moved over to group session and both have their advantages. Session prices are pretty reasonable compared to other swim school in the area.

Worst operation ever

We signed up in feb 2020 and had one class for my 8yr old and then the pandemic hit.

During the pandemic they went MIA! They didn’t answer any phone messages or offered any refunds.

They finally reopened this spring and called us back to receive our credits for swim classes.

The problem is they either can’t get their instructores in on time or they can’t figure out schedules.

After 3 missed classes my son was severely disappointed and we finally gave up on these people.
