I wasn't sure what to expect when my son checked out the place, I pictured a bunch of guys with big egos, over competitiveness, etc... Well... I couldn't have been further off!! First of all the kids and adults that belong there are some of the nicest and most helpful with each other and help build up the esteem of those who are weary. A bunch of great kids and adults!! After the first class my son signed up and in over a month took 2 days off, normally something would last a few days and the novelty would wear off, not here!!
You can walk thru the door and not know a single person but you'd never feel that way, you're treated as if they've known you forever!
Darren is great, he keeps everyone engaged as do the other trainers. You're pushed just enough so that the next time you push yourself further. Just signed up for another few months, the rates are great, it's open 7 days a week so even if you can't do a lot of weekdays you can do the weekends in the late morning.
If you want to train with a champ in a welcoming atmosphere this is the place!!

Came to Jersey to see family and found checkmates close by. I figured I would just go so I could continue training while I was away from home. I got so much more than a workout here, learned a ton and got bit by the boxing bug all over again.Darren is the man! His ability to work with young kids, serious contenders, and everyone in between in the same session is amazing! Friendly atmosphere as well not a dank gym with foul mouth thugs, great place for kids. I will always make time to train here when I make it back to Jersey, highly recommended.
