This gym is outstanding. It's a block long collection of free weights (benches, preacher curls, racks, plates, dumbbells, etc.), machines of all kinds, cardio equipment and anything else you need for a great workout and to vary your workouts. Outstanding!!!

I took my first class today and I am not the fittest person. It was very engaging and the instructor was superb and kept you on your feet and energized. He would come by every so often checking on your form and helping you out. It is a very professional well kept facility. I would highly recommend.

Will be coming back!! Iβve never kick-boxed before and it was a great full body workout. My instructor, Oli, was amazing! He was very encouraging and enthusiastic, but did not push you past your limits if you were struggling to keep up. There were quite a few newcomers in our class and he came by to check on us often and would make subtle corrections to our form for a more effective and safe workout. The gym owner, Joe, also seems to take a very active role in his clientβs satisfaction and the smooth operation of the entire gym!

Very friendly team of owners who will take you personally on a tour of the space. The sessions are super easy with no booking required.
The open gym here is massive with all the equipment you can think of. Only issue is the lack of a shower but for the price and quality of everything else itβs easy to forgive

Really enjoying CKO. Every instructor is amazing. Energy and focus are way up. Started a16 week challenge in July as a motivator. I've lost 15 lbs from only doing 3 classes per week, sometimes 4 if I can fit in a morning class before work.

This is the best gym in town. You have a full gym with weights and cardio, and you can hit a bag and have plenty of space for calisthenics downstairs. The classes and trainers are all great and will burn an easy thousand calories, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Even the gym clientele is higher class than most gyms.

I cannot recommend CKO Hoboken enough. I go ~5 times a week and Iβm greeted by name and treated so kindly every time Iβm there. On top of that, CKO kindly offered to help promote the Alzheimerβs Association fundraiser I have happening this upcoming weekend which means so much to me. If you want to go to a gym that cares about your health and well being, come to CKO. The instructors are spectacular and push you to be better every single day. I was nervous, but I took my first kickboxing class today at CKO and signed up for a membership immediately after. The staff and coaches are incredibly nice, especially Marc, who answered my 10000 questions, showed me some great stretches for my lower back and made me feel like family. I highly recommend stopping in for a class, itβs a great workout and you can work at your own pace. The space is huge and kept very clean!! Canβt recommend this place (and Marc) enough!!

2002 that's when my first and forever membership started at CKO (back then TakeItToTheMax). I have been through some tough times (as tragically in 2009, I lost my little boy who quoted CKO's workout in the attached). CKO has always been by my side as a solid family and friends; assisting so kindly on fundraisers. CKO Madison: just a quick THANK YOU, through the years, for having a professional, efficient, effective and most important such warm whole-hearted dedication to all of your members. It's 2021, and I still take your classes; age is a number for me....and I thank CKO as all of you must receive due credit for that. To many more years of excellence!!!!

Iβve been attending CKO for almost two months and itβs the safest option for an awesome workout in Hoboken. The owner Ann is really sweet! Itβs great to have options of classes then the gym upstairs (which is spaced out and has sanitizing options every couple feet). If youβre looking to really blast your whole body, this is the workout.. also kinda great to get out some stress on the bag!

This is a great gym! The trainers are all super friendly, well trained, encouraging and helpful. The ladies at the front are also lovely and polite. The upstairs gym is a huge plus that you can use on your own at any time. It has everything you would need in a pinch. The prices also arenβt bad! I have really enjoyed my 2 years here.

Youβll burn calories, but thereβs no emphasis on technique or form. A lot of times you can never adapt to one combination before another one or a new exercise is thrown at you:
For sake of calorie burning itβs fine, but they are butchering the martial art. The trainers have no experience in teaching martial art.
The gym up stairs is great for the only reason that so few people use it. Itβs a lot of old machines

Like many, I was wondering how gyms (and CKO in particular) can come back after everything came to a halt last Spring. First glimpse of hope was the outdoor classes the team started holding outside in June. They literally moved parts of the gym (heavy bags and stands) outdoors to a nearby small park. I believe they will continue to hold outdoor classes until it gets too cold.
The Hoboken CKO gym itself opened second week of September. Of course, coming back felt a bit weird at first -and that's normal- but I'm very glad CKO is back! Here are a few things I get asked about all the time:
- They take your temperature at the door as you sign in, and masks required AT ALL TIMES.
- Social distancing marks everywhere, reduced capacity. This is a HUGE gym and they took out every other bags, giving you more than 12 ft between the bags. You get a LOT Of space to workout.
- Classes are 45 minutes, but very intense.
- Masks: Many of my friends asked me how can you workout in a mask? I have to admit it's a bit hard to get used to it at first, but it does work. I personally prefer disposable masks as you can toss them after you are done, but some use specially designed reusable workout masks.
- Upstairs weights space has endless supply of wipes, disinfectant spray, and you're required to wipe the weights and equipment after you are done with them, all members I've seen do that. Personally, I clean them before and after to be even safer.
Times are challenging. But I'm glad CKO is back, it's a Hoboken staple and for me a 14+ year tradition. It's not just about being in shape, it's about punching a bag after a stressful day at work (mental outlet), falling asleep easier after burning off excessive energy, or simply the one hour of the day you get to go outside the apartment.
I go to the CKO everyday, mixing between classes, workouts, and even personal training, and I feel very safe in all of them.

This place is awesome. I went there for the first time last Wednesday to the 7:30pm class. The people that work there are friendly and willing to help in any way possible. The instructor took the time to walk around the room and give everyone tips to help them out. They have enough space to host huge crowds. I will definitely be going back. Make sure to take advantage of the first class free.
And they have a full size gym/workout room with machines and free weights on the next floor.

Terrible staff. I bought triple class and tried one of the classes. I had to travel due to work for a week and half and when i came back they dint let me use the two remaining classes saying that it had expired. U lost a customer for an already empty looking class . Never coming back.

I was a member of CKO in Hoboken. I moved to Portland, Maine where there are no CKO's in the entire state. I have a lease proving my change of residency and they STILL would not let me out of the contract, even though it says if you move and provide proof you can be let out. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!! DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM. The customer service is horrendous and they should be ashamed of themselves for operating a business as they do. A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS. DO NOT JOIN.

Facility - It is a 2-story facility with kickboxing on the first floor and the gym on the second. The gym is might not be not look massive at first due to its shape, but it has plenty of cardio equipment and old school weight lifting machines. Best part is that it is never overcrowded.
Location - Just moved to Jersey Heights and since I don't have a car, I chose this gym. It is pretty close to the light rail station.
Owners - The owners are really pleasant people. They quite literally greet me every single day that I go to the gym.

I love this place - best workout I've had since moving to Hoboken! The staff is so friendly and the trainers are fun! I was worried about group classes because I didn't want to feel left out of a clique like I did when I tried crossfit, but this is absolutely not that and you'll enjoy it. Give it a try.

I moved to Hoboken 2 years ago and wanted to make sure I found a gym that fit what I was looking for. At first I was a memeber at NYSC but I found it to always be PACKED, which led to certain equipment usually being used when I was trying to use it. I tried the free week trial at CKO and felt like it was the perfect fit! I liked the fact that they had free weights and machines upstairs, but also had classes available downstairs. They offer a great variety of times for the classes, especially if you work a 9-5 job like I do.
Overall itβs been a great experience and I have consistently been reccomending to friends and colleagues in the area who havenβt given it a shot yet!

I have been attending classes at CKO Kickboxing for almost two year now. Before that, I had never really found any workout program I enjoyed. This is really a fun, full body workout that is easy to keep coming back to. You can adjust each class based on your own skill level and the instruction is fantastic. I attended classes at a CKO in Manhattan and absolutely loved it! The staff was super friendly, knew my name by my second visit and the trainers were super motivating and had amazing energy. Once I moved to Hoboken and found out that there was a CKO right next to me I wanted to join immediately but wanted to still try it out before committing. Unfortunately, I was so disappointed both times I went. I went very early in the morning both times so I could get a workout in before work. The front staff was kind but the trainers had no energy. I need someone who is going to make me feel like waking up at 5am is a good idea and that they are happy to be there. It seemed like they were trying to lull me back to sleep by being as quiet and monotone as possible. The gyms itself is great but they need to replace some of their trainers. They need trainers who are going to motivate, sound like they want to be there and willing to push people. I love CKO I just don't love this location.

I was a member for a year but the drama coming from the staff made me leave. I came back with my friend that will get married and asked me to train with her to motivate each other and the front desk person came to me in a very rude manner telling me that what I was doing was not permitted and that I would get in a big trouble ( those where her words ) . I paid for a full month because I do like the classes but I asked for a full refund because is the second time that this kind of drama happens. Very sad that is actually the staff that brings drama. I was a member for a full year and saw so many people training together and everytime I would train with my family that are members of the gym I would get in trouble. I dont know what's going on . The trainers fill intimidated from a gym member ? I don't know . What I know is that unfortunately I'm not coming back .

Two floor gym with fitness kickboxing on one floor and a full size gym on the top floor. The top-floor gym has just about everything you would need, complete with locker rooms (but no showers). It includes one of everything, is a bit retro, and is barely ever crowded.
