The gym was a very nice years ago but ever since "muh covid" it has become mediocre place. The size reduction in the facility and lack of working equipment especially the treadmills left me with disappointment. It's not suitable place for newcomers.

Nice gym, good for someone like me who likes to work out casually. Although it’s perfect for me (basic cardio and resistance weight machines), I see many muscular men and women coming in and out of here so it seems to satisfy the needs of those who are looking for a more Serious workout.

They were kind enough to suspend my subscription through covid so I wasn’t charged while the gyms were closed. They did this themselves with no intervention from me, which is a good thing. I heard many other gyms still charged their customers during covid, this gym didn’t do that which I appreciated.

They also were kind enough to reach out to me after my credit card expired. Instead of hitting me with an unforeseen charge, they called and asked for the new card details so I could avoid this charge.

After its reopening, Club Metro USA from Union, New Jersey has been working following every single detail to comply the rules and regulations. Today, I was at Club Metro USA Union, NJ, every member was aware of what and how to proceed inside the gym. Clean as always, great equipment and very kind staff, my assessment for Club Metro USA is A+, thanks for being in Union. Metro USA is in a very good location in Union, NJ, the place is clean, nice equipment, the staff can’t be better, friendly, polite and always ready to help. This is one of my favorite places in NJ. Please do not go to this this gym!!!! They make it near impossible for you to cancel your membership. After not going there for over 5 years and paying my membership faithfully, I called ABC financial (the company which manages the dues etc.) I was told that I needed to go in person to the gym. I called the gym and literally begged to speak to the manager who came on the phone and immediately started talking about promotions and service without pausing to listen to my query. I had to interrupt her 4 times before she allowed me to speak briefly then resuming her rant. She was quite rude and passive aggressive. In the end she told me I have to pay or else I would end up in collections. If I ever wanted to continue working out there, I definitely will not now. Go at your own risk, but my family and and I are out!

A lot of machines are out of order and there are mann machine so not properly working. Many are missing the squishy handle you grab which isn’t the most important but it’s not what’s I want to see when I’m paying an annual maitnence fee. The floors and carpet are busted, there are only 2 or 3 sanitation stations on premesis and it’s just an overall poorly run gym. Today I noticed just how’s much dust isn’t collected on the wall is above the treadmills. Also while I wasn’t running in the treadmill (going 8.5 speed) the belt of the treadmill froze, which made me trip, then resumed, which made me almost fall forward. That’s the second time I’ve Felton unsafe because of faulty machines in this gym. Then the year want me to give a 30 day notice before I quit my membership. I don’t want to be in this gym for another second. Do not come here if you’re looking for a quality gym experience. I wish I never did.

This gym has tons of potential, but it’s turned to the worst over the last year. The gym is a nice size. They could do a better job with placement of equipment to do more. Even with the size of the gym it doesn’t seem as though it has enough equipment.

They recently replaced all equipment, but the benches are too wide for full range. The leg press wouldn’t actually lockout so now they have two leg press, but only one leg extension and leg curl.

The worst part about the gym is how it’s always a mess. You can go at 5 am, 1pm, 5pm or 10pm and the gym is always a mess. Dumbbells everywhere, barbells loaded with plates just left out on the floor and stuff all over the turf. I wish the members and staff did a better job of keeping the place together and safe.

Was one of the best gyms around until recently (about 4 months ago), equipment needs to be replaced ( meanly bars), always extremely cold (67 at thermostat) but they never shutdown the fans which makes makes it a lot colder in certain places. Even the employees complain about how cold the place is but the manager seems not to care (I have talked go him)

I am a fairly new paid in full membership client/customer at Club Metro. I asked to purchase pre-workout and this location doesn't sell it. Instead the staff member insisted on telling me about other drinks they sell that have the same affect as pre-workout. I know what pre-workout is and the Union location didn't sell it. I have visited other locations and that sell pre-workout. Perhaps the Union location needs to step up their inventory and order pre-workout for their customers.

This gyms atmosphere is definitely better than the club metro in Elizabeth! The bathrooms are clean which is a plus for me. You are actually greeted here and acknowledged which most gyms don't. I would rate this club metro 5 stars if only it was bigger with more equipment. It gets pretty packed in the afternoon especially when they have their Zumba classes. I would enjoy this gym more if I didn't have to alternate my work outs waiting around during the busy times.

I don't think it's ok for a "MAN" to be cleaning the women's locker room while women are the showering and half naked!!! This is NOT OK!! It's disrespectful and disgusting!! I was there last night around 5:30pm 3-1-17 and there was women wrapped in a towel not able to change because a man was there cleaning the bathrooms!! What!!!! Management should be a shame of themselves!! I called and spoke to a supervisor and apparently this is normal!!! Never been so embarrassed and uncomfortable!!! If i wasn't on a contact I would leave this place.. i don't even feel comfortable Ever changing or use sauna in locker room.. this is a shame!!!

I would give a 0 to this establishment .HORRIBLE customer service so unprofessional and there is never a manager to speak to about any of your concerns .I tried to speak to a person in charge and all he did was tell us off using profanity and never gave as the chance to let him know that for months straight we have been complaning about no air conditioning in the spinning room. All you hear in this place is customers dissatisfied. They have a board for you to write what equipement is boken and they erase the board the minute you turn around and do nothing get fix it. I have had nothing but unpleaseant experiences at this facility and feel as tho all they want is your money and don't care for customer satisfaction. There is no one to address any of your complaints too and the when you try to speak to anyone they are very unprofessional and use vulgar language as if you were a nobody and do not treat you like a paying customer.

Parking is terrible and dangerous because people insist on parking illegally in fire zones. I have mentioned it to the staff but not much seems to be done about it. There are no signs/rules around people talking on cell phones (very disruptive). Equipment is often broken. The gym has become very overcrowded at all times but I guess for $20 a month it gets the job done. I only come for cardio at this point because less than an hour is all that I can tolerate.

This gym gets the job done for $20/month. I come during the busy hours at around 5:30PM and theres still enough room to do your exercises. I usually stick to the free weights and on occasion the cardio equipment, which are all fairly new still as this gym just opened up a few year ago. Locker rooms are fairly clean, however can not speak on steam room or showers, as I've never used either.
