Great staff, New equipment. I enjoy my gym experience everytime!! I stopped by today to upgrade my membership from month-to- month to an annual contract. They also helped me to sign up to see a personal trainer. The guys at the front were very helpful and professional. Love this place!

I cannot recommend the Delran location, or any Crunch Fitness gym. For the Delran location, there were too many negative reviews concerning the difficulty of canceling your membership (and not being able to locate the manager to do so). I was told that this location now has a new manager tasked with rectifying previous shady practices. I didn’t give this gym 1 star, for this review, because I walked through the entire gym, side rooms, and locker room and found that it was clean and well-maintained. The equipment also looked to be in great shape and the front desk staff was also friendly. However, I did successfully excise my right to cancel my membership within the 1st 3 days, matter of fact, I did it in person the follow day after I read the reviews and read my Membership Agreement.

After having read through the Membership Agreement (emailed to me AFTER I joined, and no hardcopy available for reading beforehand), I will avoid any Crunch Fitness gym. (1) The only time you can cancel your membership w/o seeing a manager is during the 1st 3 days after signing. At all other times you must send a registered letter or see a manager. Come on guys, you’d should not use such practices. As long as your account is in good standing (no back dues owed), then it should be a simple visit to the front desk or a call on the phone or even their app. (2) To become a member, they practically insist on dipping directly into your bank account each month. After refusing, they will a,low you to charge it to your credit card, BUT with an additional $5 fee per month. I previously belonged to a gym that did not charge for alternative forms of payment. There is also a higher month-to-month price, as compared to an annual contract, but that seems to be a standard practice for many gyms.

Crunch Fitness gyms show much promise, if only they can revise their draconian policies.

I was at this Crunch Fitness on 5-19-2021. My goal was to cancel my membership and my daughter had the same intentions. We ended up downgrading our membership. This would not have been the case had it not been for the manager Nate. He was relentless but in the most pleasant and fun way. To this end, he convinced us both to continue membership with Crunch. He's definitely an asset to Crunch Fitness.

Clean gym, bed better cleaning supplies like other crunch fitness' considering the pandemic going on. Same gripe as the other 2 crunch fitness locations they need toilet seat covers. It's not like I'm asking for hand drying machines which are a couple hundred bucks. They are paper toilet seat covers. Basic sanitary needs can make this gym that much better.

I’d like to start by saying I have been in the customer service business for 22 years and rarely am I the recipient of being the client. I realize most people are quick to deliver a negative experience to the higher ups but hardly ever give credit where credit is due. I thought you should here this.
I had a membership to Giant fitness for many years but after the gym was sold my membership was sold or transferred to Crunch fitness in Delran. I was not aware of this because obviously I did not read every page of my membership that my membership could be transferred if my gym suddenly closes which it did. ( who reads this anyway ? ) Obviously me and my wife did not at the time of signing up for our agreement with Giant Fitness.
Lo and behold crunch fitness tried to contact me several times regarding I needed to update my credit card information for my monthly withdrawal to withhold my membership from which my understanding I never signed off on that so didn’t believe I had to pay. I was not aware that my account was actually turned into collections which infuriated me after speaking to several agents from the bank who handle the funds. After several phone calls I was told I need to speak to the gym manager at my local club to handle the dispute which I was clearly not happy about anticipating a horrible experience. To my surprise it could not have been handled any better. Not only was today’s experience extremely pleasant but it was more pleasant to speak to the two girls behind the counter who handled themselves in the most professional way that anyone could imagine. The sweet energy and a girl behind the counter took the time to explain and apologized for any inconvenience where she could’ve easily said it says this in your contract and you have to pay what you owe.

I spoke with Erin ( the GM of Delran ) and I could not have been more happy about the way she handled the situation. She was so pleased to help me along with a new employee ( lizette whom today was her actual first day) and I was blown away. As a corporation I felt the need to reach out to you because they both handled the situation within minutes as a matter of fact I stayed to talk to them for maybe 15 minutes speaking about life in general. Personally I feel both of these young ladies are an asset to your company and should be recognized for their strong customer service abilities. Both ladies were very charismatic bubbly and had a great sense of humor which is exactly the person that you want behind your front desk at all times. I obviously thank them very much for their sincerity but I wanted to make sure that you knew of the value that those two ladies represent being behind that front desk. They are both a blessing to the Crunch franchise and I hope they would be recognized for their superior service today. They were fabulous and generally care about their position and absolutely represent your club to the highest of standards and customer service. 5 stars all day.

I was a member at Delran Giant fitness and they transferred my membership to Crunch and I was not notified by either Giant or Crunch. When I called Crunch to cancel they told me I have to come in and can’t cancel over the phone. Keep in mind we are in a pandemic. When I came to cancel the girl at the counter was rude and refused to return the amount I was billed. When I asked why I should be charged a $29 maintenance fee plus 2 months of membership fee for a gym I’ve never stepped foot in her response was “it is what it is”. I can’t imagine anyone would want to workout in a gym with such poor management/customer service.

Just like everyone else, I was a part of Giant Fitness which closed down. I received an email from Giant explaining they’re closing down, they instructed us to contact Crunch fitness immediately. I did, I have multiple emails from a “manager” at crunch where they denied knowledge of charging me. I was then told I’d be notified if I’d ever be charged. There was NO notification, I just happened to be checking my account when I noticed that I didn’t recognize a charge.
I then called the gym to speak with someone and was told I had to either PHYSICALLY come in from 1030-6 or go to the post office and PAY for a certified letter to cancel a membership I never asked for.
Here’s my issue, there’s still a pandemic, you don’t know what precautions people are taking or where people aren’t comfortable going. It’s not fair to first, not provide any notification of charges and second, make people either pay or walk into a gym to cancel. That’s not fair or safe. I’ve prided myself in being cautious throughout this pandemic and I don’t feel it’s fair that I have to now either spend additional money and go inside of a crowded post office or drive all the way to a gym where I’m not comfortable going just yet.
I’ve read some of the responses from the owner to other reviewers and I just think the professionalism
Is lacking. Many of us have emails from the “manager” there who provided us with inaccurate information regarding notification and billing. I’ve checked my emails and even did a search by name to see if I was ever notified and I wasn’t.
Why would people want to come in and try your gym AFTER you’ve started off on such a bad foot? Why would we want to do business with you? This was shady, there’s no other way to put it. We don’t want to give your gym a try. This is why you’re asking people to come in to cancel their fraudulent membership, so
You can try and coax them into staying. However, we aren’t happy with your business practices, why would we go to you? I will join edge fitness when I feel comfortable rather than to ever do business with crunch. This was distasteful and you guys LIED!

The front desk team is always very nice and welcoming and the club does have a good selection of equipment. The staff is doing their best to make sure everyone adheres to the COVID guidelines, but seems like a waste due to some housekeeping concerns.

You can tell the equipment is kind of just brushed over, cup holders are are full of dust and drink rings and the grips are sticky. There is dust and dirt in the areas that don’t see movement. I understand to wipe the machines down before and after but I feel like there should be a deep clean every once in a while.

The men’s room is always a disaster. There has been a puddle almost fully blocking the only way in and out of the toilet area for a few days now. So people are inadvertently tracking through it spreading it everywhere. There’s a slip warning sign, so I believe they are aware but it’s not sanitary at all and should be a priority to correct. The urinals and the dividers look like they need a deep clean. The toilets don’t have enough pressure to flush anything completely unless you flush multiple time and because of it your always finding someone’s “mess”. There has been a spider web and nest in one of the stalls, and a lot of dirt/grime along the edges of the partition wall legs since opening back up. Your also lucky if the toilet paper has been restocked usually. At one point there was another member that brought their own because it goes days at a time before anything is restocked. There is a box of empty toilet paper rolls in the shower stall for those with disabilities. The locker area bench’s aren’t wiped down for days at a time in the locker area, so there is always left over spilt drinks and sweat marks on them. Hand soap isn’t refilled at all in a timely manner and usually is out in at least one of the dispensers. I try to remember to keep an extra hand sanitizer with me just in case.

Unfortunately I came from the Bensalem Club, which is amazingly well kept, and Delran is the closest club to me now. If it wasn’t for the contract I would have cancelled my membership already and went to another gym in the area. It feels like management isn’t very involved with the day to day floor operations to keep everything up to standards and it’s a shame. Hopefully they correct this and I’d be more than happy to update my review.

Stay away from this place. Predatory at best. They will charge you membership dues on a frozen account and give you a hard time to cancel your membership. Was charged for another year while they were closed due to covid. Manager was rude and not helpful. Learn from my mistake and go elsewhere. With business practices like this they won’t be around very long. I would have given them zero stars but one is the minimum.

Do not join this gym. Terrible business practices. They bought my membership from Giant Fitness, which closed permanently due to Covid-19 situation. Crunch fitness gave ABSOLUTELY NO notice of that they were taking over my membership, and began billing my credit card unauthorized. Crunch fitness makes it very difficult to cancel your membership by requiring you come in person during very limited hours or by certified letter and would not honor a refund for the fraudulent charges to my account. COMPLETE SCAM

They purchased Giant in Delran and forcing the members to switch to Crunch. I never approved this and now I’m being charged without my consent. This should be waved instead of those who never wanted to go to their gym in the first place. I’m being charged a monthly and a yearly service fee when never setting foot in the gym.

Membership was transferred from Giant to Crunch. BEFORE they reopened I mailed a certified letter in JUNE to them to cancel my membership. They never picked up their mail. I then HAND delivered it to the front desk, emailed the manager with an image of the post mark that I want my membership cancelled. I was STILL CHARGED $21.33 even though my old membership at Giant was $10.65 a month. Now I have to go in again for a second time because the manager has not returned my calls or emails. The facility is not 24/7 (which is why I joined Giant), yet somehow they can charge me for limited hours.

My membership got sold to Crunch fitness and I was charged a few days later after they reopened from COVID-19. They did not communicate with me at all about how my membership went to them and the timing of the charge. I had to find out from my old gym and I tried to cancel my membership during their closure but they said I had to wait until the gym reopened to cancel. They didn’t even notify me when they knew they were opening up again. I had to find out from a friend. I also just learned from the same friend who’s membership got sold to them as well, that he got charged they’re yearly fee already without notification. Poor communication and shady business practices. Especially when you need a manager in store to cancel your membership.

If you like to work out early in the morning, Crunch Delran is the place to go! Frank who works the early shift always has the gym open by 5am sharp, or even a little earlier. The personal trainer is always trying to hit on my wife and make conversation with her. Big black dude who is bald. I haven’t been there lately and he has been doing it more often. Just the other day he gave her hip beads.

Completely unprofessional and wrong on so many levels. We both workout together and wear our rings. He is purposely trying to get with my wife and it sickens me.

The worst part is we never used any personal trainers so there’s no reason for him to try any of thisz

There is not enough good to be said about Crunch. I researched all the gyms in the area and compared before I made a physical appearance. My first stop was Planet Fitness and I quickly made the decision I would not be joining. Edge came next. First impression was a negative one, given the pushy nature from the door. It was so crowded and the vibe was undesirable. My next (and last) stop was Crunch. I was greeted with a friendly smile and warm welcome. I filled out a waiver with some information so I could go on a tour. (It was explained that the iPad was in use at the time, so to avoid any delay, we went the old fashioned way) Janeane introduced herself, shook my hand, asked me some basic questions (goals, fitness history, etc.) and gave me an informative, thorough tour of the facility. The gym was bright, cheery and had everything I am looking for, plus some. It was not overly crowded and the atmosphere was inviting. To say it was clean would be an understatement. Janeane answered any questions that I had, explained the membership options (many options to choose from, based on personal needs.) Love the fact that every membership comes with a complimentary informational session with one of the personal trainers. The customer service aspect of this experience was absolutely amazing. I have several family members that I will be referring to this gym, as it has all the bells and whistles and customer service is superb. Keep it up Crunch!

I registered a year ago and never went back. I decided to cancel because I clearly am not ready to do any exercise and was wasting money. I was greeted professionally but quickly grew annoyed with the desk clerk as he persistently tried to persuade me against canceling my membership. I told the man that I am wasting my money and will register again if or when I feel like exercising. His pitch or lecture went on for about 30 mins. I continuously asked to cancel. I had to listen to him lecture me about the Pepsi and it's nutritional value. All while I looked around to avoid showing how angry and annoyed I was growing. I threaten a poor review if he didn't cancel because I was completely dissatisfied with his customer service. He still carried on, offering me a free training session. And maybe some instructions about how to work out and lose weight. Dear Crunch Management, please retrain your staff. In the future after the first 10 mins of trying to save the member just let it go. Especially if you're not winning them back.

The Maxx Fitness gym in Cherry Hill SOLD my membership to this gym that it located in delran. Please help me understand why would I go to a gym in delran when I pass about 10 other gyms before I'll get to their location. I'm HIGHLY PISSED THE F OFF! Crunch charged my account & I've never entered their doors!!! yet I'm still being charged! This is the very reason why I was hesitant to join a gym in the first place! Reading the reviews I see I'm not the only one that this has happened to. Not one email sent out about this change! Not one phone call from either gym! What I received was a text message from my trainer stating that the Maxx fitness was already closing their doors! If it wasn't for her I would have never known that Maxx fitness was closed! Yet Crunch fitness freely took payments out of my account. I don't even know you people!! Now I'm subjected to waste gas & drive to a place I don't even know to dispute charges I never agreed on or a gym I agreed on attending! Just Disgraceful!!! And is anyone in charge of phones??? I've been calling since Monday! It is now Friday! & still haven't been able to get a hold of someone at Crunch Fitness

They have the audacity to charge me fees and insist I come in person to cancel a membership I never initiated with them. I feel like they stole my personal banking info and are stealing from me and however many members the bought from the failing of Maxx Fitness. This is a disgusting practice. Its location is towns away! I signed up with Maxx because it was down the road from my house. This business is fraudulent and they are absurd to think that stealing memberships is going to encourage people to join their facility. I dont care what amenities they offer when they obtain clients through fraudulent practices. How would they feel if this was done with their personal financial information. Sad to be an unwilling member of Crunch fitness delran.

My gym closed and “transferred” membership here and this place wants me to drive 30 minutes to cancel my membership in person or spend my money to send a certified letter. Don’t join this place. They just see its members as dollar signs. I hope they go belly up just like the other place

Great gym people are awesome, I just wished they would let 16 yr olds work out themselves.

Lots of equipment. Good vibe. Feels good being there. They've got alot of unique equipment as well. Alot of things you can do to build muscle rather than just pumping away at the free weights. Huge cardio section. My girlfriend enjoys the tanning and waterjet beds. Always a good workout here. Their music selection isn't great but if you didnt bring your own headphones to the gym... that's your own fault.

Crunch in Delran is great for a commercial gym, especially at $10 a month with their cheapest plan. They have two lifting platforms, 3 dedicated squat racks (plus a rig that you can squat/press in), bumper plates, and a turf area with a prowler, kettlebells, ropes, boxes for jumps, etc. Compared to most commercial gyms, that assortment of equipment puts it well above your typical LA Fitness or Golds. In addition they have a good amount of cardio equipment, machines, dumbbells, that is all kept extremely clean.

If you are a powerlifter or athlete you can get a solid workout here, but there are a few pieces of equipment I'd like to see added to make it perfect. Things like a safety squat bar, football bar, some PVC pipes for warm ups, band pegs for the squat racks, a trap bar, an adjustable box for squatting, etc would go a long way. This facility just opened, so I can't expect too much yet but a trainer told me the GM is adding some equipment like a trap bar, which is a great sign of his/her willingness to expand and listen to members needs.

Gym staff seem friendly and attentive, bathrooms are always clean, and there is always ample space/parking.
