Enjoy this gym. Great and friendly employees. It would be 5 stars but i have an issue with them saying “we have a $10 minimum on purchases”. It isn’t true. the crunch in Parsippany accepts Apple Pay for the price of the item you want to buy. I want to buy an energy drink but every single purchase is $10 minimum. after 2 days I’m right back to a $10 minimum purchase. They know Apple Pay is fine.

Very disgusting and unpleasant experience. I've been a member since 2016 and paying a monthly membership while barely going. I recently had surgery and relocated, I've been trying to cancel my membership for 3 months. Associate chase and manager Craig have been no help. I've been charged their annual maintenance fee though I canceled the membership. I have to go through my credit card company to dispute the charge. My membership cancelation was only temporarily until I return to NJ. But now, I will never rejoin any of this franchise group. They spike prices after you join and staff are very unpleasant.

They still didn’t refund my membership fee, I cancelled it more than 2 months ago and still no refund , and they play games every time I call to ask about my refund, until today chase the manager is trying to help me out to get my refund, and the issue is their financial department.

Morristown crunch should not be a 'select' level gym. The place is rundown, tons of broken equipment, it's a third the size of nearby crunch fitness such as Greenbrook, Livingston and Parsippany. The place looks like a dungeon with no air conditioning and almost no sunlight. About 1/10 of the lockers have broken or damaged doors. One of the urinals was broken for 4+ months before it was finally fixed.
The only reason they have to justify a 'select' level and 'select' prices is that it has a crappy pool that is poorly maintained.
The management staff is rude and disrespectful. The only positive is that the rest of the staff is actually nice and are good people but they hate their managers.

UPDATE:
The new manager Chase is probably the best thing to happen to this gym. He is friendly, helpful and willing to engage in constructive dialogue with customers. He can't fix everything but he is definitely an improvement.

Gym is very clean and has more than enough equipment to get a solid pump no matter what you’re working. The front desk guy, Chase, is truly a gem. Super helpful, very organized, and consistently assists me with any issues I have. Always friendly, always smiling, we need a chase in every gym world wide. Can’t recommend Crunch Morristown enough.

I’ve had ongoing issues with Crunch Fitness that have made my membership more frustrating than beneficial. Despite paying for a membership that’s supposed to give me access to multiple locations, they’ve repeatedly denied me entry to one of their facilities with no clear reason or resolution. Every time I try to get answers, I’m met with confusion, miscommunication, or flat-out indifference.

To make matters worse, the gym itself isn’t even worth the hassle. The equipment is outdated, worn down, and often out of order. Basic machines you’d expect to find in any standard gym are either missing or barely functioning. Cleanliness is questionable, and the overall maintenance is way below what you’d expect from a national fitness chain.

Between the poor customer service, lack of transparency, and subpar gym conditions, I absolutely do not recommend Crunch Fitness. Save your time, money, and energy and look elsewhere.

**Be aware of personal training contracts.** I signed up for a 3-month personal training program at Crunch and made it clear to my trainer that I didn’t want to continue afterward. Despite this, I was charged for a 4th month without my knowledge or consent. I followed up in person and via email, and was told I’d get a response within 24–48 hours. It’s been several days and still no word.

What’s most disappointing is how fast they were to charge my card, but how slow and unresponsive the follow-up has been now that I’m asking for a refund. I was never informed that a cancellation form was required. If I had known, I would’ve signed it on the spot.

I expected better customer service and accountability. I hope this gets resolved soon, but so far, the experience has left a bad impression.

Location is great and everything is good, but I am having a nightmare of a time with PT. I paid for 10 sessions and there is something up between trainers and the management. No trainer sticks here, they just leave! I am searching for my third trainer now, so it's hard to be on a fitness journey with revolving doors.

Great gym with all the amenities at a convenient location. They could do better with turnaround time for repairs but the staff earnestly tries their best to keep up. Keke starts every morning with music, energy, and a smile. Love starting my day at Crunch!

its super unfortunate the owner of this gym has no passion for their business, half the lockers in the mens locker room have no doors they allow the immature high schoolers to rip off the locker doors and they just don't fix them? What happens when all the doors are off and were left with cubbys? many ppl have mentioned the AC so no need to dive deep on these 100 degree days we've had its astonishing they have no AC are they waiting for someone to pass out?? The equipment is dated but doesn't NEED to be replaced although some stuff could use some TLC. Currently doing Personal Training and thats going fine I plan on canceling for personal reasons but if they give me a hard time abt that then will come and update this from 3 to 1 stars. Shame they overworked Eric he was an excellent employee. for 60 bucks a month if it wasn't located where it was located I wouldnt even consider it.

This gym is a complete disappointment. The facilities are outdated, dirty, and poorly maintained machines are constantly broken, the bathrooms smell horrible, and don’t even think about trying to find a clean towel. For the outrageous price they charge, you’d expect at least basic upkeep and quality service. The worst part? The owner. She is rude, and clearly only in it for the money. They don’t care about the members or the experience just about squeezing every dollar out of you.

I've been going to gym since 2012 and have seen ownership change many times. Keke is one of the main reasons why I'm still here. She’s always pleasant, engaging, and consistently opens up on time at 5 am. It’s always a complete pleasure to start the day with her!

The owner seems to be cracking down but isn't improving the place. It is more expensive but it is not as nice as other gyms in the area. The temperatures are generally too hot. Things are regularly broken. And there are policies put in place that are contrary to the online contract. You will pay more because it has a pool, even if you never use it. The instructors, employees and managers are nice though. I'm worried they will leave if ownership doesn't get better.

I was kind of happy with this gym until I decided to cancel my membership. It has been very difficult and tedios. After I “successfully” cancelled, they kept charging me. There is no one picking the phone, there is no option to leave a voice message, nobody replied to the manager email address. I went in person and the front lady told me the manager was going to call and he never did. Very frustrating!

Found this gym thru a friend who grew up in Morristown. I am pleased it’s near other areas of Mo’town centrally located and had free validated parking inside the Hyatt Regency it has a pool for laps and low impact aerobics, tanning, massage bed and cycling are up stairs and down stairs is the main gym with clean locker rooms, fun group classes and a private gym for people to workout with the Fitness trainers. I’m working with the personal training manager Shawn Collins he’s very understanding, knowledgeable and a true accountability coach. I am beyond happy with my membership at Crunch and have the app to calculate my workouts at home as I try to hit this gym 2-3 times a week.
I love the stretch cage. I want one in my house but they are almost $4k!

I’ve been a member at Crunch Morristown for 18 mos. With the Peak Results Membership I have access to pretty much everything I need, plus the advantage of being able to bring a friend each time I go. The pool cleaning could be a bit more regular, but the location, parking validation, complimentary towels & locker room amenities are nice perks

One of the best aspects of Crunch Morristown is Keke. Even in the earliest hours of the morning Keke is there with a great vibe & uplifting energy. Any time I have ever had a question or concern Keke has been the one to assist. She consistently starts my day - and the day of others who come in early - with a vibrant, supportive attitude which truly makes a difference

I want to share my experience with this gym as a ‼️WARNING ‼️ to those considering joining.

At first, everything seemed very promising: an affordable membership and clean facilities. However, my experience was the complete opposite. From the first month, I decided to cancel my membership due to the inconsistency of the classes, as the instructors would cancel the sessions without prior notice. Noticing that this kept happening, I went to the gym to cancel, spoke with the manager, and signed a document detailing the reasons for my cancellation.

What seemed like a simple process turned into a nightmare. Despite canceling in the first month, they continued charging my card for 4 months without my consent. When I noticed the charges, I called the bank to file a complaint, but the gym kept charging me for another 2 months. I called the bank again, and they recommended I go in person to resolve it. The manager told me they had no record of my cancellation, claiming that the person responsible for those documents no longer worked there.

He assured me that he would handle it personally and sent me a cancellation email. I thought my nightmare was over, but two months later, they kept calling me demanding payment for two more months, threatening to send me to collections. I went in person again, and this time the manager had an arrogant attitude, claiming he wasn’t working on those days.

As of today, almost a year later, I’m still fighting to prevent them from charging me or sending me to collections for something I don’t think is fair. Today, they sent another email saying they will send me to collections.

This business model is very disorganized and does not respect the customer. If you decide to try this gym, I recommend paying close attention to the details in the contract and any additional charges they don’t mention upfront. Even though I canceled in the first month, I’m still fighting with them. If anyone has any advice on how to proceed with this situation, I would greatly appreciate it. This is just a warning for those considering joining.

Avoid this place (and Crunch in general). I was using the one in Morristown and Green Brook and I can easily say they are the worst gyms I've ever been to. Worn down, old, damaged/broken equipment, poorly lit, no windows, poor air flow, over crowded, poor layout and to make it worse, they screwed up my cancellation and now I have to pay an extra month plus late fees. I cancelled the beginning of January, was told my last billing date was going to be Jan 28th. Proceeded to get billed on Feb 28th also. Disputed with my credit card company, Crunch fought it saying they had no record of me cancelling so now I'm stuck paying for February.

Save your money and avoid this place. I couldn't possibly recommend this place less.

RUN RUN RUN as fast as you can from this gym! They make it extremely hard to cancel. They require you to physically come into the facility and cancel or send a letter by mail. You can NOT do it online, via email or with a phone call. There is a serious medical issue with my family member and I could not get there in person. The still charged me for the month of December because my card is on autopay. I tried cancelling the end of November by phone and that was not acceptable. By the time my letter got to them my credit card was already charged. The offered a store credit! Really??!! What am I going to do with that! They would not credit my card and said over and over again about how their contracts are binding! WORST gym around! One other issue is that that have doubled billed me multiple months and it was so time consuming to fight.

I joined Crunch Fitness Morristown in April 2022. My membership has been LIFE changing - as a 55+ procrastinator with my 2022 New Year Resolution to improve my fitness - Crunch Fitness provided a SOLUTION! I responded to a post card offer for a membership - from the beginning Gabby helped me sign up and arranged a 1x1 introduction assessment with my personal trainer Matthew Smith. The meet and greet from Jen, Javier and Brian every time I check in and out make me feel welcome. To date I have lost 20 pounds and dropped two inches in my waist size. Matthew helps me make the most of my membership with weekly PT sessions, choosing a variety of motivating Group Classes and DotFit recommendations to supplement my diet. The location, free validated parking, clean environment, fellowship and fun with other members and accessible Staff make ALL the difference in helping me achieve and maintain my 2022 fitness goals. Great Location. Poor quality facility. The men's locker room is an absolute disaster, and they've been "In Renovation" for months since forcibly removing all members from the lockers in October/ November of last year.

They have ONE water fountain in the common area of the gym (not locker rooms) that must be for display because it doesn't work.

They managed to fix it for about 10 days and slapped a couple "Give us 5 stars on fb, google, etc and get a free t-shirt" all over the gym. The day the water fountain returned to its decorative and non-functional state, the 5 star stickers were gone.

The gym and locker rooms are located directly under a large indoor pool on the floor above, and it absolutely shows. It's like exercising in a cave as the ceiling is low and the humidity is high. Almost all of the equipment is left over from the old gym that was here before Crunch took over, they even kept the dust bunnies and sweat stains. Locker rooms look like Hurricane Sandy just rolled through. I can't imagine there is any sort of deep cleaning happening at this property, whether during the day or overnight. I see them running a vacuum or picking up loose paper from time to time, but dirt/dust/crud buildup is clearly evident. You must park in a public garage and navigate your way through HQ plaza in order to get to the entrance, parking is $5. I believe they do validate parking, but it just seems like an added inconvenience.

Crunch Fitness in Morristown, NJ is designated as a Select Club, with offerings that are between Crunch Fitness's high value, low price and their premium Signature Clubs. This club's location is in downtown Morristown, NJ, with validated, free indoor garage parking right next to the gym. My experience has been that there is always a friendly and helpful receptionist, and/or a personal trainer at the desk to greet club members and guests. The club is well maintained as far as the locker rooms and workout areas, plus the condition of exercise equipment is good,. This location has a great choice of cardio, weights and machines, with colorful, well organized, special workout areas and rooms. Among many features and activities that are offered are: group fitness classes, a pool, ride classes, a Power Half Hour Circuit Training, HIIT, and HydroMessage.

If you’re looking to improve your physical fitness, work hard, and muscle up, look no further. As a top tier member, I’ve relied on Crunch to step up my game, push more weight, and look good. Conveniently located in the HQ plaza in Morristown, I go 4-5 times a week and I’ve had a huge jump in my focus and growth. Amenities like a hydro massage bed, tanning booths, and large 3 lane pool give you everything you need to master your body. Not to mention a great stretching area, HIIT zone, group workout room, and a large number of ellipticals and treadmills. Love the 2.5 lb increment dumbbells. Critiques - need more decline benches / decline bench machines. Can get crowded during busiest hours, 5-7 PM. Would like more options for classes. More places to drop towels would be good too. Overall I love it.

Horrendous - can't put a hold on your membership unless you go in person to do so. Isn't the whole point to not have to go in and not get Covid? Will definitely be sending that certified letter canceling the membership. Would give zero stars if possible.

They make it incredibly inconvenient for you to cancel your membership. In general you can pretty much cancel any membership, subscription, or a reservation over the phone or online for most companies but crunch wants you to send them a certified letter or go in to cancel in person. Its not that serious crunch it’s a gym lol you don’t need me to come in person or send a certified letter, I can cancel way more serious things over the phone with no problems. It’s completely bogus and a scam that they do this and they do it because they’re hoping you’re too busy to make time to cancel your subscription so they can continue to charge you. They make up this poor excuse stating for legal reasons they need your signature to cancel otherwise they can be sued. No one is suing you and spending money to sue you over a canceled subscription , in that event they would just open up another account.. it’s not a big deal but you make it into a big deal because you’re a scam and hope to get a couple more charges in on people before people have to make time to go in and cancel in person

This facility was clean and had a good selection of equipment for its size, including 2 power racks and a squat rack as well as a kickboxing area. 4 stars because I was there too long so I had to pay 5 dollars to leave the parking lot. For that reason, I'm not going back. Holding my car hostage for money is unacceptable.

got kicked out halfway through my workout cuz they were closing to clean. I had no clue about this until I was asked to leave. a little notice would have been nice. Plus there's no where to park unless you wanna pay. and this place you have to pay extra a month because its select?? there's not even an available locker room at the moment. not my favorite.

Really horrible attitude of female manager.
Have been attending Zumba classes for $5.00 fee as non member. Today informed me that the fee is $10.00, they were charging me incorrectly, and she’s the manager, so she should know. Well , I probably would have paid the $10.00 fee, if perhaps she would have just said instead, ‘ Gee I am SORRY that my staff was unaware of correct pricing’. You’re running a business and trying to attract people. Bad attitude and a power trip is not conducive to attain that goal...

I have been a member of crunch for almost 6 years now, mainly working out at the Stanhope location. I was curious to see the difference between the two locations, and let me tell you, crunch in Morristown is awesome. They have a wide variety of equipment and the added sauna is awesome. Although the price is on the higher side, the added equipment you get is worth it. The employees there are also very knowledgeable and willing to help, especially Scott.

Terrible location. You have to park in a parking deck and it’s like a freaking maze in here. I had trouble finding the gym and it took me over an hour to leave the parking garage. The parking ticket was already validated but the machine kept saying that the ticket was faulty. No one at the booths. No one answer the assistance button either. I had to end up calling the hotel management to come let me out of this. Felt like eternal purgatory. I spent more time in the parking garage than working out.

I originally changed to Crunch from LA Fitness due to the proximity of the gym and I can safely say that LA Fitness locations where you pay less you get more than you will find at the Crunch Morristown. I will be looking into canceling and filing for a refund over "1.12.4 New Facility" in the gym agreement due to this gym failing to meet its advertised standards. FIND ANOTHER GYM or at least an actual Crunch. Over the past 3 months this “Select” Location has received little to no love from the owner (whoever that is) and is on its 2nd manager based on the email exchanges I’ve been having. If anyone has been in contact with the manager or has seen their email campaign you’ve seen that they promise “a LOT of changes”, well for a whopping $40.00 (Base) or $50.00 (Peak) you too can continually wonder how long it will take them to fix the leg press (black tape doesn't count, but nice try).

You’ll find the following at this location:
- The Gym is only busy after work hours (5pm - 7pm)
- Worn Down/Broken Equipment (a lot more than the photos I have below)
- If you look at photos of the previous gym the equipment that is shown is mostly all in this facility
- Little to no “Crunch” signs
- Paint color scheme is all over the place
- Men’s lockers numbered wrong
- Men’s Sauna has exposed wires
- Brown Rug throughout the facility
- New Plates & Dumbbells
- Front desk is nice

We go to the gym to improve and better ourselves, so it is disheartening and downright disappointing when the gym itself isn't working to be its best self.

Updated for new location: Crunch Morristown is supposed to be better than the Morris plains location. However, inside the gym is old, dark, outdated and not worth what they’re charging AT ALL. There is no crunch fun and branding that made me stay as a member for over 2 years at the previous location. Parking is horrible. Floors are carpeted too which is gross.

Can’t wait for the new crunch Parsippany to open, I’ll be switching out of the Morristown location ASAP. Was looking at other options and I decided to wait out this location to open instead of completely canceling my membership with them. Definitely had higher expectations for this gym given its new location hype and experience and I’ve been sorely let down.

I've cancelled my membership in December after 2+ years.

Very disappointed when they suddenly upped and moved from Morris Plains to Morristown with basically 1 day notice. I tried to cancel my membership via a certified letter as directed. They're still trying to charge my credit card. Stay away.

This was my favorite gym to go and I’ve been going to Crunch for about a year and a half. New location is super inconvenient to get to, took half an hour out of my workout to find and park.

Not only was it an inconvenient location but the equipment is trash and everything is carpeted which is unsanitary. I know they said renovations will occur shortly but I’m sure it will take at least two or three months to get up to par. I quickly cancelled my membership and will find a place elsewhere.

This was my favorite gym. It was such a great facility in such a great location. Then one day I blinked and they moved to a $#%+ hole that's totally inconvenient to get to, and the equipment is junk. I only ended up working out here a few times before canceling my membership. The vibe is judgemental and negative.
