HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!!! ALWAYS OVER CROWDED, NO PARKING OR SPACES TO WORKOUTβ¦ EVER. This YMCA is turning into an entitled geriatric facility. The good prices are deceivingβ¦. You will get what you pay for and it shows from the incompetent management!!!!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!! π‘π‘π‘ Shame on you YMCA!! I thought you were a nice family establishment

Visited today while working in Flemington. The staff was incredibly warm and inviting upon entry and even when leaving. The wellness center is a little compact but thereβs enough room and very good equipment to get a great workout in. Will be back to whenever Iβm back in the area.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Small town country setting next to a beautiful park. The gym is very clean spotless! The instructors are great assisting you properly doing the exercises. Great family atmosphere. They love working there. Now that they merge with River Crossings YMCA you can go to any YMCA nationwide, which is a good deal.

Doubled their price out of nowhere. Could do it whenever they please again. Wouldn't recommend
Edit: Came back to try and get a 1 month membership and they said there would be an added fee of 26 dollars ontop of the 58 per month. I knew it would get worse, do not go here

Offers many, many different approaches for physical and mental well being!
Has a fantastic range of beneficial activities, machines, and areas (pool/courts,etc) for those who may need more help than others as well as the handicapped!!
Everyone Iβve personally had experience with thus far has been extremely helpful and gone above & beyond!!
They also provide discounts and ( I think) a sliding fee scale for the fixed income, disabled, and unfortunate which I think is fabulous!!

I joined the YMCA January of 2023. Lisa Buckley signed me up, gave me a tour and a massive smile. They saved my life that day. The people that work here truly care for the community and you as a person. Abby Clinton is amazing as the head of health and wellness at our branch. She will inspire you to be the best that you can be at whatever you set your mind to. The classes are wonderful and the place is very clean, with upgraded machines! Bring the whole family in and join today!

Overall ver great place to workout, swim, and play some basketball- one thing though, Iβve seen the court covered in mats and little kids jumping more times then Iβve seen a court that I can play basketball on. This is something that has happened excessively. Basketball is one of the main reasons we got a membership, but if the gym is closed due to little kids jumping on mats, how are we and the many other people that play basketball going to play basketball? My main point is, there has to be somewhere else for kids to jump on mats.

Hi YMCA Deer Path,
I would like to terminate my gym membership since I have not attended the gym for over 10 months. Thank you so much for charging the 5 months on my credit card despite me not attending. Also, when I went to the gym to terminate my membership, management could not be found. The lady at the front desk said management coming in is unknown and unpredictable. Also the Justin Grand I e-mailed has not responded my e-mails. Please STOP SCAMMING your gym members!! I especially love how management start ghosting members when members want to terminate their gym membership.
For those who do not like being SCAMMED, avoid YMCA Deer Path.

I was at this Y as a member and a worker, and this whole time building had air problem, with were strong chlorine smell, at the end of my shift ,my eyes and troat, was on fire, has to go home and put tea bags on my eye lids.At some point I had developed carsenoma,in my troat. Had 2 surgery. My children was on a swimteam. The air was so bad during practice back then, that whole team was coughing. My boss and her boss,in 9 years had not solve this problem productively at that time. Coaches was changed all the time, and swim team program was not good enough for future college scholarships.

We have been coming to the facility for the last five years. Very friendly staff, especially the aquatics team is great. Both my kids have enrolled in swim lessons (group and private) and they both have gained confidence and excelled in swimming. My 10 year old enjoyed the Special Olympics Swim Team in October 2018 and his journey has been amazing. Thanks to Director, Instructors and Volunteers who help the special needs kids with such dedication and love. We see our boy getting the excellent training and he is so excited winning in the meets. The latest meet was held this month by YMCA and it was a well organized event. It is so good to see these kids happy and over joyed by their own performance and achieving medals for their hard work. Appreciate the entire Special Olympics Swim Team. Thank you!! π

I experienced racism this morning around 5:20am from a man working at the front desk.
I was a guest and was told to pay 10 dollars. Then I remembered I had a 7 day pass. He took it from me and said it was old. He said I could use it today only. I requested he return it to me and he did. However he was very nasty. I know for a fact if I was white it wouldn't have happened like this. I suggest sensitivity and customer service training for this person. I know the Y doesn't condone this behavior.
Thanks.
The point is discrimination and rudeness should not be. He did not inform me of the current process for membership. It wasi like use this one day pass and don't come back. And another thing the pass was blank and never used.
I was told by the owner that this promotion ended like 30 days ago.

The Special Olympic Swim Team program at Deer Path has done a terrific job teaching the athletes not only to be good competitive swimmers but also to relish the benefits of being part of a team . You only have to attend one meet to witness how much they care for and encourage one another. It is a credit to the coaches who volunteer their time and to the Y for their generous support of the program. I am grateful that my daughter has been afforded the opportunity to participate for over 20 years.

My son has been a member of the Special Olympics team for the past 5 years and we could not have been happier with the coaches , the program and the progress our son has made. The coaches are very dedicated, knowledgeable, and supportive using the combination of in the pool and on the deck coaching. The athletic department administration has always been very responsive to the athletes with special needs prompting the atmosphere of inclusion and partnership. In addition, the coaches and pool director take extra steps to organize social gatherings to further promote the atmosphere of cohesion not only for athletes but also for the parents and siblings.

This place discriminate against special needs children. Their Special Olympics Team is a fake up-front team. The coach does not want to get in the pool with the Team members. The Director, Flora Mannino, of swimming is very rude and does not care weather your child learns how to swim or not. They are also very inexperienced when it comes to teaching swimming skills. They donβt have a Family changing room which is against the law. A YMCA is a community place. If you canβt serve the community needs, then you should not be in business or at lease find another job.

I joined mostly for my autistic son. I took him to the pool,,,,he gets anxious around alot of people/activity,,,,this B*** threw a object,,,like a pole noodle barbell,,at my son . My son bring so innocent said"oh mommy I got splashed. " ok so I'm thinking she's old and miserable. But then did it agian.,,,ok ,,I'm now thinking perhaps she's old, deaf and irritated. She was about to come into the pool, and my boy was hanging out by the ladder. I said "Move away and let the lady in". Which he did. I then said "good morning" with no response,,well if you consider a dirty look as a response then I did. This b**** continuously ignored us and even tried,,I mean tried, to splash me with her lame "exercises". The whole experience soured me to Ever return. I did indeed make a complaint which was left unanswered. For crying out loud,it's a community based facility,,,WTF

The Y is great for families. There is a pool and lots of kids classes. The workout area has lots of machines and stations but not a lot of room. Enough cardio equipment that you may not get the machine you want but there is always something open. Kids classes are a great deal with the family membership but can be pricey a la cart. If you have two adults using the gym and even just one kid, the family membership is worth it. My favorite part about working out here is no one bothers you. No one tried to sell you training packages or smoothies. The staff is there to assist when you need it but are not pushy. Very comfortable environment.

HCYMCA has been a part of our family's upbringing since we moved to Hunterdon County 14 years ago. Dad, Mom and our three children have each participated in various sports and summer programs, and continue today to use the pools, group fitness classes, and exercise rooms.
Beyond the outstanding facilities, the staff is what has been the biggest attraction. From the management to those who work at the desk, fitness class instructors to the personal trainers, we have always felt welcome and cared for.
One particular example of this is our son's personal trainer, Dan Connors. Over a year ago, with the help of HCYMCA management, we were introduced to Dan. Since then, he has been a driving force helping our son grow stronger and faster with workouts on a weekly based. Our son looks forward to each visit to the Y an we couldn't be happier about that.
It is these things which we cherish about HCYMCA and why we write this endorsement.

Hunterdon County Y has always been there for my family. We began our experience 16 years ago when we needed a quality trusted child care center for our children. We also participated in many programs offered by the Y Fitness Center including swim lessons, yoga, ballet and karate. Y Summer Camp was a must for my children. The camps are safe and fun! It is the staff and the community involvement that makes the Y great!

I've been a member of the Hunterdon County YMCA for 5 years and I love it! My favorite part is the Group Fitness classes. The brand of classes that they provide are effective and efficient. Current up-tempo music selections get your heart racing while keeping things fun. The instructors are also awesome. They go out of their way to develop a relationship with you, which provides a higher level of accountability. Knowing that I'll be missed if I don't show up keeps me active on days that I'm feeling a little lazy. I've stayed at the Y and I'll continue to stay at the Y because of that extra effort that the instructors show!

My children have attended the Summer Sports Camp at the Flemington YMCA for the past 4 yrs. They look forward to attending it every summer. It has had a very positive influence on them. Not only do they get to participate in fun outdoor activities the camp stresses good sportsmanship and kindness to others. I recommend this camp for anyone looking for a summer camp for their children. It is very professionally run and the kids have a great time.
