As a 49-year-old woman and wellness professional who's spent years navigating various gyms and fitness programs, I can confidently say that working with Cate and Brandon at Elevate Personal Training in Rumson has been a top-notch experience.

What sets Elevate apart is how deeply attuned the owners Cate and Brandon are to my individual needs, not just broadly, but specifically. I’ve dealt with lifelong chronic knee issues, plus back pain, and migraines, and they take it all into account every single session, without letting me off the hook or making it too easy. The workouts they design aren’t off-the-shelf routines - they’re carefully crafted with my body, challenges, and goals in mind. It's a rare kind of attentiveness that I haven’t found at other gyms or with other trainers.

One of the things I appreciate most is how closely they monitor form and movement. Cate and Brandon are incredibly observant, always correcting posture and making sure each exercise is being performed safely and effectively. They've been especially focused on getting my hamstrings to engage properly, building strength in the muscles around my problematic knees, and correcting an arch in my lower back, which has been a game-changer in terms of strength and balance. Their training approach goes way beyond general fitness - it feels like a collaboration tailored specifically to what my midlife body needs, not what a generic plan dictates. It’s empowering to know that I’m doing workouts that are not only effective but designed with care and purpose.

The gym space itself is another major plus. It's quiet, clean, and never crowded - just a calm, welcoming environment. There’s no overwhelming or off-putting gym “scene” here. Cate and Brandon are also genuinely kind people who are clearly passionate about what they do, and it shows in every interaction. I feel stronger, supported, and more confident in my training regimen than I have in years and feel so fortunate to have found Elevate.

I couldn’t recommend Elevate and my trainer Stephanie more! I started working out at Elevate when I was 6 months pregnant. I had been active during my pregnancy before that but knew I needed a more personalized approach as it became trickier to navigate modifications. Steph always checked in with how I was feeling and adjusted workouts accordingly. I always felt safe working out while pregnant and now having given birth I can say that my workouts have helped with my recovery as well!

I can’t wait to be able to workout again at Elevate once I recover and have complete faith in Steph to help me do it safely and effectively!

I’ve belonged to a gym since I was 14 years old. Sometimes I was into it and many a time I wasn’t. For the past several months, I was looking for a place to get back into it. I wanted a place that could suit where I am in life right now (almost 50!) with not only what I require, but what I want, and a trainer who could help with all of my common and not so common needs.

It’s been about a month since I’ve been going to Elevate and working with Stephanie Marone. First of all, I can see such a definite transformation in my body, my energy levels, and my general outlook, which although is always good, is even better now. Stephanie is such a professional and an absolute doll. My time with her is a treasured time out where I get to lock in and focus on myself (imagine that!) and strengthening, improving my well-being and leveling up overall. I highly recommend Stephanie. She really knows her stuff. She makes each session interesting and challenging, and does it all in a way that is palatable so that when you leave you feel restored, invigorated, and accomplished.

I also highly recommend Elevate. It’s a positive, feel-good boutique studio. The owners, Cate and Brandon, are awesome and I am so happy that I found a new home for this next chapter of my journey. Plus, and this is such a big thing, they always play the best music.

I'm not someone who loves working out, but I'm truly enjoying it now! After breaking my wrist a few months ago, I felt even more hesitant to exercise fearing I'd hurt myself more. As someone who hadn't seen the inside of a gym in over 10 years, returning to workouts seemed incredibly daunting. But I am so glad I chose Elevate as my gym. Booking was incredibly easy, and I in for my evaluation workout in no time. I love that it is basically a private gym - there are rarely more than two other people there at any given time.

My trainer Steph is awesome. I shared my fitness journey with her right from the start, and she was able to create the perfect workout routine for me. Every workout is unique and very challenging - she continually pushes me to progress while never asking me to do something that isn't attainable. Thanks to Steph, I plan to maintain a regular exercise routine for the foreseeable future!

My workouts with Stephanie quickly became an extremely important part of my life/routine. If I have to miss a session, I truly feel off. After having 3 kids back-to-back I found it hard to prioritize exercise. Stephanie has been incredibly supportive of my goals and has found ways to jam pack my workouts to quick 30-minute sessions 2x a week and the results I have seen in the last few months blow me away. Every session is well-planned, challenging, and perfectly tailored to push me while keeping things fun and motivating. She has truly helped me regain my strength and confidence. I have been an all cardio exercise girl. However, as I am getting older, my Dr told me that I need to start strength training. There was no way that I would be able to motivate myself to do this until……. I found Elevate Personal Training. Not only did I find this gym, I also found the perfect trainer for me. Stephanie is awesome!! I explained my needs to her and she came up with the perfect program for me. I can’t believe how great I feel after a strength training workout with her! Each time I train with Steph, she has some new exercises. She motivates me so much that I even do the exercises at home. Between my cardio and my strength training, I am looking forward to lots of beach time this summer.

I just completed my third session with Stephanie and I couldn’t be more pleased with the training. She took the time to assess my fitness level and help me set goals to improve my overall fitness. I highly recommend Elevate! I started seeing Cate after having undergone a partial knee replacement in hopes she could help me strengthen my knee. Our family of 5 has been training 1:1 with Cate and Brandon for 7+ years. They are two of the most caring, reliable and hard working people we know. Cate & Brandon do a great job of modifying workouts for each client—working around physical limitations, short-term injuries, etc. They also take the time to understand every individual’s goals. Cate & Brandon have helped my husband and me increase our flexibility and strength while safely guiding our 3 teenage boys to build muscle and condition for specific sports like basketball and golf. And, they always help us warm up before and stretch after our work outs which we would not do on our own.

Cate & Brandon were very thoughtful about finding and setting up their new space in Rumson. They have a wide variety of high end equipment and thought through everything clients need to feel welcome and comfortable from a coffee/charging station to playing your favorite music when you walk in. They also keep the gym immaculate!

Cate & Brandon take the intimidation out of training. Sessions are fun and fly by. All 5 of us are happier and healthier because of them. We can’t recommend Elevate enough!

Brandon and Cate have transformed my body over the past two years. I started with them post quad tear injury and now go 4 xs a week for balance improvement, weight lifting and even boxing. Their treatment plans are individualized so work outs are never boring. I’ve referred many friends and family members to them. As a 50 + year old woman I had no interest in cross fit or other programs that honestly make you more susceptible to injury. I’m a stroke survivor. I started training with Cate, on the recommendation of my daughter, after I was done with outpatient therapy. I wasn’t sure how that would go, but Cate was patient with me and I started to get stronger. Eventually, I started training with Brandon, too. I credit them for so much. Getting up and down from the floor for sit-ups or other exercises was a challenge for me, but now I do it without any problems. I tell them about my goals, and they work to get me there. If you want a caring, supportive, and responsive trainer, I can’t think of anyone better than Elevate.
