The Manager Liz does not know how to handle parents concerns when it comes to her staff members. The staff is not culturally diverse nor trained in cultural diversity. When presented with a concern regarding your child they claim your attacking them instead of rectifying the negligence of the staff. They do not provide accurate assessments of students abilities and there is no communication amongst staff members. The manager is not attentive to customers/parents concerns and cannot offer reasonable solutions.

I am disgusted with this gym my granddaughter had her first try out today mind you she’s 4yrs old and autistic and just wants to be as normal as normal is now days When we first got there the lady at the desk was very nice and explained everything also informed me that she told the teacher about my granddaughter so I was more than satisfied with that once it was time to start the class the teacher automatically discriminated against my granddaughter before she could even start anything the teacher comes in talking about I don’t know if I can work with her because I’m by myself before she even got a chance to know my granddaughter like every other child my granddaughter jumped on the trampoline and she said no we don’t do that here than proceeded to tell us she will walk us to the front to get our money back because the class was more structured and not for my granddaughter β€œ I would like to let them know my granddaughter goes to school she is autistic but that does not dictait who she is or what she can do she goes to school she is very smart loving and respectful but all this teacher saw was an autistic shy child trying to fit in with the other 3 little girls which there was a nanny there that seen everything happen and was shocked how my granddaughter was singled out for having a disability shame on that teacher for not giving a special needs child a chance to fit in by no means is this okay I plan on going above and beyond for what was done to my daughter and the way she was singled out for having a disability.

I regretfully enrolled my daughter in Elite Gymnastics with hopes of providing her with a positive gymnastics experience. However, my experience with this academy has been nothing short of disappointing. The unprofessional staff, rude front desk, inexperienced instructors, and lack of effective communication have made this a regrettable choice.

To begin with, the staff at Elite displayed a concerning lack of professionalism. The front desk, which should be the first point of contact for assistance, consistently displayed a lack of respect and patience when approached with questions.

The instructors at Elite gymnastics proved to be inexperienced teenagers who were ill-equipped to handle the responsibilities of teaching gymnastics. It was disheartening to witness the lack of knowledge and skill exhibited by these instructors. It raised concerns about the quality of training being offered and the safety and quality of the training being provided.

Communication at Elite was a major letdown. The academy failed to prioritize effective and timely communication with parents. Important information, such as schedule changes or event details, was neither emailed to parents nor posted on their website. This lack of communication made it difficult for parents to stay informed, adding unnecessary stress and confusion to an already frustrating experience.

As a concerned parent, I strongly believe that a gymnastic academy should prioritize professionalism, experienced instructors, and clear communication channels with parents. Sadly, this academy fell short in all these areas, leading to an incredibly unsatisfactory experience for my daughter and our family.

Considering my personal experience, I cannot recommend Elite Gymnastics to any parents seeking a reliable and supportive gymnastics program for their children.

My children LOVE this gym. It is such a great place for them to get their energy out, have fun, and meet new friends. The workers truly treat their costumers as family and ensure everyone an easily great time. And my kids can't stop talking about their favorite gymnastics teacher, I believe her name was Shannon. My kids also enjoy the summer camp, it's convenient for me to drop them off in the morning and still leave time to enjoy the rest of the day together.

This review is mainly for the swimming instructor, Shannon:)
She is young and determined, does full justice to her role by ensuring that each child is achieving up to their caliber. My both sons, Ram & Kabir have already shown sooo much of an improvement in swimming skills in just 3 days. She is firm and at the same time fun! Keep up the good work, you are a big asset to Elite for sure :) Thank you for your hard work and sincerity !

Addition to the review after 2 weeks :
Marin, this one is for you! You are so patient and take interest in understanding every student’s strengths because each one is different. I love how she learnt quickly that my son was into basketball and made that into a game/incentive to teach him swimming techniques. These great work ethics will take you a long way :) all the best for future endeavors!

Jasmine: you too are a great asset to Elite. It feels so good to see youngsters like you working hard and being dedicated to their jobs. We have huge respect for today’s youth who know exactly what they want and work efficiently towards their dreams. All the best, Jasmine, keep reaching new heights. Thanks a lot for teaching Ram & Kabir

My 5year old daughter joined Elite gymnastics in April 2021. After a few recreational sessions they saw potential in her and she joined the JOGA competition team. She has excelled so much already! ..Not only in gymnastics but her overall confidence, strength and determination. She has a natural love for gymnastics and I'm so glad we have such an amazing center to nurture her love of the sport!

Did a trial class for my toddler. All they did was put them in a room where they just let them run around. We could have done the same thing in the house with the gymnastics equipment we already have. They showed us the pool area, and it was very disappointing. Small, not welcoming, no friendly artwork on the walls, poor decorating, just a boring sad vibe all together. The staff wasnt mean or rude, but they werent the shiniest group of people on a beautiful Saturday morning. 20$ for a trial run, maybe if your toddler has never been exposed to ANY gymnastics, MIGHT be worth it? Maybe its a good place for older kids? But for my first impression, fell short. They need a little more involvement with the little ones if they want parents to introduce their kids to gymnastics

I did not go here but i know someone that went here and the coaches did not have good communication or corrections and the worst part is, they posted fails of everyone trying their hardest to get a skill. In my opinion the gym is very crowded and not laid out neatly, i hope that everyone understands where i am coming from. Again this is just my opinion.

My daughter joined Elite 5 weeks ago. Which means she has only had 5 classes and her improvement is incredible. The teachers truly are super kind and helpful towards the kids . They challenge each kid to better themselves and work individually to help improve each student .

My daughter previously went to another gym and I felt like she was a pay check to them . Well not at this gym, they really make you feel at home and like family . I definitely found my daughters forever gym !

She has a passion for Gymnastics and she is even happier since starting at Elite ! I recommend it to every parent !!

My three children have been going here for the past 5 years and we love it here! We started out with Ms. Michelle(THE BEST) and have graduated to the other classes. Teachers are kind and make things fun. My kids have developed strength and balance as a result of gymnastics and it now shows in other sports as my oldest does more now. He clearly has more coordination than some others.

If you want your child to have fun, build confidence and learn new skills this is the place for you. This is the epitome of a mom and pop run business where "everybody knows your name"

True story: I grew up going here as well as my entire family. This was 30 years ago. When I had my own kids and moved back to the area we tried another gymnastics place, but my son was young and this place was very strict and unforgiving for kids who didn't want to do exactly as told.
So I came back to Elite and I'm glad I did!! When I saw the owner, Mike, and told him who I was he remembered everyone in my family by name and the town we grew up in. I couldn't believe it!!!

The teachers will not break your child's spirit down. They are kind and yes some of them are young, but I have never felt that my kids were ever endangered. We have been coming here for the past 4 years now and my kids have done swim (awesome small classes), ninja and gymnastics.

As far as one person's complaint on cultural diversity, I am a minority and have never felt discriminated against. Northern New Jersey is generally not very diverse. And I would rather teachers chosen for their skill and not their diversity. When my sister did team here 30 years ago the head coach was African American and widely respected by all. She taught here for many years.

And I have to address the complaint for stretching time. ANYONE who has ever studied any exercise physiology would advise that people spent at least 15 minutes warming up before doing any type of rigorous or flexible exercise. In fact, if the upper levels did not spend at least 15 minutes stretching before doing things like back handsprings, it would significantly increase the child's chances of injuring themselves. It would be irresponsible.

I do not receive anything for writing this review. But I don't think a couple of bad apples should represent a business that is run by a hard working family that takes every complaint very personally.

My daughter was in this gymnastics program and it was not a good experience. The coach she had was teenager, which to me is not right since she was too young. I would rather expect an older person with some type of experience. As well as, during the time my daughter was in session, 15 minutes of the 60 minutes was used up for stretching. Which only leaves 45 minutes on actual practicing gymnastics. However, the staff was very nice and were very comfortable to discuss or deal with.
