For someone who has tried everything to get in shape, I have found a place that feels so welcoming and has already produced some much needed results. I have only been going a few weeks but I already have more energy and always feel stronger with what I accomplish after class. For anyone who is frustrated with workouts or need a place to feel comfortable, this is the place.

Wonderful place. Great coach. Different and excellent workouts everyday. Coach Frank is always looking after every person to do the right movements and to have a good posture. If you can't do a specific workout due to pain or a previous condition, he will give you a modification. People are really nice and fun to workout with too. I highly recommend it.

I've been a member a little over 5 years. I walked into the gym, not knowing much about working out or fitness, I just wanted to lose a few pounds and to learn the basics of fitness. I never expected to become part of a community of supportive, positive people that have become like family. This is my home away from home. Stepped away during Covid yet didn’t realize how much I missed being around everyone. Great atmosphere and group of fantastic individuals. There is no judging anyone and Frank makes sure that you’re properly doing the exercises and if you have any ailments like I do…lol he gives you other options. Take it from this senior, Roxbury CrossFit is worth visiting and chatting with Frank. He is a class act.

STR CrossFit is great! I have only been a member for a few months but already see a difference in my strength and stamina. I came in with some knee issues , but with Coach Frank providing modifications and suggestions, I have not had any problems. It is simply the best! I joined to get in shape for hiking into Patagonia in a few months and am confident I will be.
Update: With the support of the STR CrossFit Family and coach Frank, I was able to complete the trek in Patagonia. Could not have done it without them!

I can’t say enough good things about Strong Together Roxbury CrossFit! I never saw myself as a gym person. I’d usually walk in, feeling insecure, and go straight to the treadmill. At Strong Together, Coach Frank is extremely supportive and provides great direction for people of all fitness levels. I don’t have to plan my workout, he has it already planned for you. Not your typical CrossFit location where everyone is crazy. Coach Frank and the members are actually normal. It’s a welcome all, low threat environment where the focus is to allow to reach your max potential. Music selection is great during exercises. I’ve always been very intimidated by gym atmospheres and the people in them; only lasting a week or two before feeling unmotivated to go anymore. This gym is different. It has been about a year since joining and i go every opportunity that i can. I feel amazing arriving to a great group of people & coach and amazing leaving with a great workout completed. I joined Strong Together Roxbury CrossFit in 2017 at a time that I was at the heaviest I've been in my adult life. I did one marathon 4 years earlier in 2013 before embarking on a heads down focused journey to getting a double masters. My active life suffered. When I entered this gym, coach Frank explained their purpose and I signed up. I quickly and safely lost over 40 pounds. Fast forward to now, shredded, healthier, lighter, 7 marathons and countless races under my belt later, I can not imagine being anywhere else. The process of strength training, mobility and form focus I get at Strong Together Roxbury CrossFit fuels my runs to become a stronger faster runner, and a functionally stronger person.

I joined Stronger Together Roxbury Crossfit in January of this year and have loved every minute of it! I am getting stronger every week and my health has improved - I actually dropped my Cholesterol Score by more than 40 points! Coach Frank is the best - he is very knowledgable and motivates me to push myself further than I think is possible, while keeping a close eye on me to make sure I don't do something wrong and injure myself. One of the greatest benefits that I was not expecting when I joined is meeting some really cool people; I have a new circle friends that make working out so much fun. When I use to go to the gym my biggest issue was not knowing what workouts I should be doing. I would just go to any machine that was open and did a few reps and then I’d leave. At STF, Coach Frank has a warm up written down and he will have a workout that will make you work almost every muscle in your body. He even has modifications if you don’t feel comfortable with a certain movement or if you have any injuries. He even has a diet plan for new members if they’re interested. He also has classes at specific times throughout the day so it’s easier to try to fit into your schedule. STF has a diverse group of members so you don’t have to worry about feeling out of place. If you’re looking for a gym that’s judgement free and will give you a proper workout, STF is the place.

Its more than a gym, it’s a life changer. Often, when l let people know that I go to CrossFit, they have this pre-conceived notion that it is for a bunch of hard-core meatheads. When I started going to Strong Together Roxbury four and a half years ago, I wasn't planning on staying longer than their 6 week challenge. I thought Crossfit was going to be "too hard" and not for me, a non-athletic, out of shape person with very little gym experience. What I was shown is that workouts can be modified to every fitness level and ability and a nutritious meal plan is a lot easier than I thought. I love this box. I love the fact that all sizes can join and coach Frank is amazing at modifying any movements so you can get a great workout no matter what. Stronger Together CrossFit of Roxbury is a place where everyone encourages each other to be their best.
The short version: Do everything the coaching team tells you to do and you will be stronger, fitter, and thinner in six weeks. They will help you with accountability, exercise, and food consumed.
The Longer version: I am not an athlete, although I like to challenge myself. I started my journey at 262 pounds. Once I plateaued doing it on my own, I looked for a partner to help me reach my goals. I joined Stronger Together, and I am continuing to lose weight at a faster pace with help of Frank and his team. On my own it took 5 months to lose 30 pounds. At stronger together I lost 22 pounds in six weeks. My body is stronger. My energy level is even higher. Thank you.

Coach Frank and the members at this facility are so wonderful. They’re like a happy family that wants to help you get into the best shape of your life. I took on CrossFit's challenge to lose 20 lbs in 6 weeks. This was the best thing I did for myself in a long time! I beat their challenge, losing 22 lbs!'
Unlike a typical gym that has aerobic or yoga classes, with workout equipment I never used , CrossFit has classes that incorporate weights (or not) into many different activities during each workout. In the timeframe I was there, not one class was identical to another. Each workout was different, and therefore, engaging. I was never bored with a routine. And the instructors and the other members motivate each other. It was a great experience, and I plan to continue my effort in getting into shape.

Testimonials are suppose to tell a story of what people go through. Words alone can’t do the justice deserved by Frank Spina and the rest of his crew at Strong Together Roxbury.
You walk in thinking here’s another “gym joint” with promises of weight loss in little time. But something tells you to try. Is it testimonials like this one? Who knows? BUT THANK GOD I listened and accepted the challenge.

Almost 26 pounds in six weeks!!!!! People in my life are amazed by the results. I’ve always been a “big boy” and it’s nice to see that I can do it. And if I can then you sure as hell can too.
I’ve tried the other type of gyms even with personalized trainers with the few pounds result but quickly comes back. Frank makes it simple to follow. The meal plan works out very well. I didn’t think eating more often than my usual routine of only twice a day would work BUT LOOK, IT DID.
The people you meet are so cool and the trainers are very helpful. It’s nice to be treated as a person, not an appointment. It’s actually inspiring when you see a class where the age swing is great and you look over and push yourself harder because everyone is there for the same reason.

I just completed by my 6 week challenge and here is what has changed over the last few weeks...I'm down approx. 10 lbs, BF -2.1% , BMI -1.2%, Waist -3.75" and one pant size smaller! I've officially joined the crossfit family and look forward to crushing my workouts and hitting my goal weight!! If someone would have told me 6 weeks ago that I would be taking early morning classes 5 days a week, I would've never believed it. The instructors are awesome (even the ones who love to include lots of running in their WOD's...haha) and although every member is at different fitness levels, I have never once felt uncomfortable or out of place, everyone has been so amazing! I feel the best I have in a very long time, physically and mentally! I'm so happy inquired about the Facebook promotion for this challenge, best decision I've ever made!

Great box, but more than that I can honestly say that it feels like home. There is definitely a sense of community that you get here that I was not able to find at other boxes. You get to know the people you work out with and they become friends. They create an atmosphere that is both inviting and challenging. There are many opportunities to show off your skills, ranging from friendly group workouts for charity to serious competitions. There's even an awards dinner which goes to show how much of a sense of community there is here.
The coaches are knowledgeable and friendly, but they also push you to achieve, all while taking into account your personal skill level. There is class availability to fit everyone's schedule. If you haven’t tried CrossFit before, stop by and check it out. There is absolutely no intimidation here. There are people of every age, body type and skill level.
Overall, a clean, professional business and a great friendly vibe provided by Frank the owner and passed down to everyone. They truly live up to their name Strong Together.

I completed the 6 week challenge a few weeks ago, and am still loving my results! The meal plan was easy to follow and effective, and the coaches at the gym were amazing! I learned so much and am still seeing weight loss after the 6 week challenge has ended. I highly recommend Roxbury CrossFit, the atmosphere is fantastic, everyone there is encouraging and pushes you to be your best. I've always been the one who joins something and lose interest really quick and move on. But I heard of a 6 week challenge from Steve O., and thought this can be what I need to help me get back in shape. So I joined Roxbury CF 6 week Challenge & the changes I've seen in such small amount of time has made me feel more energetic and mobile which I couldn't get anywhere else! The Coaches Frank, Sarah, Glen and Steve are great in showing technique and form for all workouts. They will encourage you to push yourself to limits you don't think you can. I have completely my 6 weeks challenge and I am more than satisfied! I have joined a gym and even had personal trainers but nothing compared like joining Crossfit. The trainers are great and the Crossfit community is even better. They become part of your family. I joined the 6 week challenge at strong together Crossfit Roxbury. Not only was it 6 weeks of success but a wonderful experience. I loved the classes and the team effort. I was bored with my regular gym membership and wanted something different to try. The coaches are amazing and are willing to help you out with any modification or assistance in proper posture for each exercise. The meal plan helped me out of my bad eating habits and kept me on track And now I live a healthy eating lifestyle. I gained knowledge on workout routines that really work! My name is Christian Luzuriaga. This place is seriously awesome! At my size, I was intimidated by crossfit because all of these athlete looking people are like, yeah I do Cross fit, well that's probably how they got like that, most didn't start off that way. Everyone was super nice, modified my workouts to my fitness level and my handicaps as I have extremely bad knees! No you don't have to jump boxes if you don't feel you can, they will modify it so you can do many other things. Is it hard? Yes it is hard, can you take a break if you need a breath? Yes, you can, this isn't lead by a drill sergeant, but a certified coach that will help you reach your goals. Should you push yourself to complete the workout? yes, that is how you will see change and they will motivate you along the way!
Get off of that couch and get into it... You will not regret it, in 6, yes 6 short weeks, with a change of diet, I lost 33 lbs!!!!!! Just working out 3 times a week. Best decision I've ever made and there is no turning back now.

Roxbury CrossFit was great experience. Not going to lie, after first workout I was not looking forward to second but I did comeback and quickly saw results which kept me coming back. Six weeks ago I was 318 pounds. I tried a few diets, shakes, and exercising on my own, but nothing held me accountable and I slipped right back into my bad habits and poor food choices. I decided to meet with Frank at Roxbury Crossfit in mid December. He sat me down to ask me about my concerns, my goals, my lifestyle, and how the program works. I felt that he was going to hold me accountable, and encourage me to reach my goals in a healthy way. So I signed myself up for their six week program. Great experience! I joined STRCF for a 6 week challenge. The staff is very supportive and welcoming. So are the members. I didn't know what to expect during my first class but the trainers are great. They fully explain every move and modifications if you aren't able to do the full exercise move. After finishing the challenge and losing 14 lbs and almost 8% body fat, I joined as an official member. I can't wait to see what I can accomplish in 12 months!

I started out joining the 6 week challenge and at first felt like I wouldn't be able to finish a class. Within the first week and a half I noticed a change and I started seeing results. I started feeling better my snoring stopped I begin to wake up feeling more energetic than ever before. I noticed that with each class I was able to push myself a little further and harder. I believe that if it was not for Frank and the great members in each of my classes I would not have been able to achieve my goal. Frank is a great motivator and an awesome environment at strong together Fitness. I'd recommend anyone to give it a try. 6 weeks ago I participated in a crossfit challenge at the Roxbury Crossfit. I didn't really need to lose weight but I did want to get in shape. I'm a 57 year old man with a sedentary job and a little bit of a gut. At the end of the challenge I lost 14 pounds and 8.3% body fat. I'm now have a 32 inch waste from a 34 inch waste. Needless to say I'm very happy with the result. Frank and his team has been extremely helpful and supportive in helping me achieve my goal. Now that I lost the difficult pounds I intend on building up and get even more fit. My experience has been top notch and I highly recommend it to anyone. You will not be alone, support will be all around you, and who knows you may even have fun.

I joined the 6 week challenge in hopes of losing weight in a healthy way, which is exactly what I did. I was able to lose 25 lbs. with a diet plan and exercise. I was motivated to lose the weight because I was heavier than I had ever been and thought this was the perfect opportunity. The trainers were motivating throughout the workouts and answered any questions I had about the meal plan. The meal plan was not hard to follow and the portions were very filling as well. Great place to jump start your fitness goals. It all starts with a one on one between you and the coach. Frank gave me a plan and the tools to stick with the plan. The diet regimen provided is extremely easy to follow. It's broken down in a manner to eliminate the unnecessary confusion of what and when to eat. There is always help in any of the fitness areas at the facility. They also offer different program incentives to further motive the challengers. I dropped 25 pounds in 6 weeks. I truly believe I would of lost more but I went on vacation. For me personally the constant motivation was exactly what I needed.

I'm one to commit to something for my health and then make excuses to get out of it because it feels more of a chore to me but going here I don't mind getting up at 6 am because its the only class I can make or I don't sit and make up a million excuses because I love going almost everyday. Its nice to have Frank there to keep up with you. I join for the 6 week challenge and at the start I couldn't do a single pull up or even run a couple laps while in this final week and a half I have run a couple miles and finally gotten to the point of doing multiple pull ups in a row. I'm definitely staying here till I'm off to the air force!

Been going to roxbury crossfit since they opened in January 3-4 times a week. Coach Frank is sooooooo nice. Also joined the 21 day ALL OUT challenge and lost 8lb and 3.1% body fat by following the diet (which is mostly my regular food type of food anyway). Great gym, great workouts, and great workout partners! Everyone is here to work, it's fun, fast, and you get speedy results. The results have you coming back for more! Coach Frank keeps you motivated when you don't think you can do one more burpee. The workouts are different every single day. The workouts aren't easy either but they are definitely worth it. I feel lighter, stronger and more energized since starting this program. Added bonus is the childcare room with babysitter for 9:30am and 6:30pm classes!
