Fireshaper is the original Hot Yoga Studio in Bergen County. They offer a wide range of classes from the traditional 26 postures to flow pilates and a sculpting Burn class.
The classes are transformative and are welcoming and accessible to all levels.

Westwood Fireshaper has been my second home on and off since 2005! It is one of the hottest studios I have been to, and I have been doing hot yoga since 1999. It's a warm inviting studio with awesome instructors and a variety of great classes!!

This is my favorite of all the yoga studios in Bergen county. I have been practicing here for a decade and have healed many back injuries and improved my overall mobility and strength at this studio. It’s got the best heat and some of the best teachers around. I highly recommend this for yogis of all levels.

I’m very fortunate with my business travel. I’m able to practice literally all over the world at amazing studios with incredibly knowledgeable and talented teachers. I started coming to Fire Shaper after I moved into the area in 2018. I quickly fell in love with the studio. It is clean, has 2 showers and 2 bathrooms with an additional two changing rooms. The studio itself can easily hold 30 practitioners. The heat is always on point!!! I think this is definitely one of the hottest studios that I attend and I love it!

But most of all the reason that I try and get to Fire Shaper at least once a day is because of the AMAZING TEACHERS and staff!!! There has been little turnover since I started, so I’ve had the opportunity to train with most of the same teachers throughout my time here. They are incredibly talented, and it’s clear that this is not just a job for them—it’s a lifelong passion. That passion directly benefits me as a student. They are disciplined yet gentle in their approach, taking the time to instruct, correct, and lead by example across various poses and class styles.

They offer an incredibly flexible schedule so whether you’re an early riser or you wanna wind down at the end of a tough day, there’s a class for you. If you’re an experienced practitioner or you’re just getting started on your journey, there’s a class for you. I’ve tried all of the other studios in the area and I truly believe that once you come to Fire Shaper Westwood, you’re not gonna want to leave!

Fireshaper is a wonderful local hot yoga studio that offers all a true hot yoga lover needs: clean and friendly environment, enough space to spread out, which is very important for me. I also was looking specifically for Bykram inspired Hot 26 series which are called “Blaze” here and led by wonderful Mara and Anthony, both amazing teachers. I also very much enjoy Flow class by Rebecca and I still have to explore more of what studio has to offer. I love the approach of teachers that is authentic and encouraging, the way they lead classes and share yoga teachings and most importantly the way I feel leaving this room. Appreciate all you do, Namaste 🙏

Love that this studio is open! Just know they are ALL hot yoga classes. Been taking Mara's Blaze classes. She is wonderful!! She is personable, caring, & encouraging. You work at your own pace. Toni, the studio leader/manager, gets back to you in a very timely matter & she is also very encouraging to try other types of classes. Definitely recommend 👍🏻🙏🏻

I purchased a 3 class introduction package and had to cancel my appointment. There is a 12 hour cancelation policy that voided that classes. I called to see if I can join another class to get the 3 classes I paid for...was told NOPE. Great customer service!

The love that is shared among all the teachers and students keeps me coming back for more yoga each week. The instructor was so kind to me as I went through my yoga training. She was thorough in the educational material and brought in many experienced teachers for us to learn from. This is a true yoga studio, where kindness and love for each other and our bodies is paramount.

It's ok. Hot yoga in general is intense but you'll feel great afterward. However, these goofs will robo text you past 10pm. Lose my number!

Excellent teachers here...consistently feel great after I attend a class!! Lots of classes to choose from each week. If you happen to go to the same class during the week, the classes are ALWAYS different and challenging. I’ve been going here for over 3 years and have not tired of this place! (Which usually happens!). FireShaper has my recommendation!!

Fire Shaper Is a Wonderful Place to do yoga if you love to do yoga in the winter and it’s too cold then this yoga place does yoga in the hot degree heat so you feel like you’re living in the summer season all year long. Best place to do yoga and makes less stress especially if you’ve had a hard work day.

Overall, my experience with Fire Shaper was okay! The most important aspect of the experience, they have covered... their instructors were consistently excellent and their schedule is easy to access through multiple forms of technology... website, app, or phone. I was new to hot yoga and tried it consistently for 4 months. I decided to stop because it was too expensive for only receiving one type of workout. In a gym, you would pay a fraction of the cost and have a choice with classes or cardio.

I had a few disappointments that I couldn't ignore.
- Although they appear to really embrace the whole yogi lifestyle... the "less is more" mentality, however, even with charging a monthly rate of $135, they will charge you for EVERYTHING. If you forgot a towel, it's $1, if you need water, it's $2, if you need a mat, it's more.
- They didn't have a water fountain. How can a fitness facility, especially holding classes in over 100 degrees not have a water fountain? Pretty much you have to BUY a plastic water bottle if you need water. This upset the yogi in me.
- They didn't cap their classes. I would always try to arrive 10-15 minutes beforehand to setup my space and relax in the room. If more people arrived, they were relentless on asking you to "squish in". At one point, I counted over 40 people in the room. When your neighbor is literally sweating on your mat, the experience is ruined. If this was a free class, I would understand, but each person is paying quite a bit to be there.
- Although the actual studio was spacious, the lobby and bathrooms were too cramped. Sure, they have two bathrooms and a separate shower, but there's no locker room. Essentially after class, you either had to be extra aggressive to get a bathroom or had to wait around, dripping in sweat, in order to have a chance to change. This aspect of the experience wasn't enjoyable.

The best parts of this facility are the instructors. I had some great yoga sessions, but it wasn't worth the money to me.

Word is getting around about this place. Maybe its karma for the horrible owners. They are not good people. Not ANYTHING that yoga should be about. I have a very strong yoga practice. If you are a man in good shape they will tell you "leave your ego at the door". Is this to make room for "doctor Johns"? they tend to discriminate against certain people for whatever their reason. If your an attractive woman? watch out!! it doesn't matter _ the minute you walk in the door Natalie will find a way to make snide comments. They ARE happy to welcome new MONEY and have flooded the internet with a variety of Fireshaper links. I hope they can't bury this one. Way have the reviews form Yelp been taken down? The are trying their luck in the owners hometown in Australia. Trying to create an allure of this being a wonderful company. They want money. As John says , pops Dr. John, he is living the life of dreams.
