I can’t say enough great things about Fitness 19 in Midland Park, especially about the incredible team that makes this gym feel like a second home.

Shane, the manager, sets the tone for the entire club. He’s professional, approachable, and genuinely invested in creating a clean, welcoming, and well-run environment. Any time I have a question or need help with something, he goes above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of quickly and with a smile. His leadership is obvious—this gym runs smoothly because he truly cares.

Ella at the front desk is always a bright spot in my day. She greets everyone warmly and makes checking in effortless. Her friendliness creates a positive atmosphere from the moment you walk in, and her customer service is consistently outstanding.

Anne is equally wonderful—professional, helpful, and attentive. She’s always ready to answer questions, assist with memberships, or simply say hello with genuine kindness. Together, she and Ella create a front desk team that makes every visit enjoyable.

Overall, the staff at Fitness 19 Midland Park sets this location apart. Great equipment and a clean facility are important, but it’s the people—like Shane, Ella, and Anne—who make this gym exceptional. Highly recommend! 💪👏

FITNESS 19 EVERYBODY! One of the only gyms where their teenage desk receptionist will tell you that they can cancel your gym membership, but they don’t, so they continue to charge you until you just have enough and cancel your credit card.

So their response? They continue to charge you and add these random late charges and threaten to ruin your credit if you don't pay. EVEN THOUGH THIS IS MONTH-TO-MONTH, and I haven't been there in over 2 years they don't care. They want to make it impossible for you to cancel and even being misled to think you cancelled.

I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and Bergen County Division of Consumer Affairs to file reports because I am done with the countless threats, emails, and phone calls.

P.S. They can cancel your gym membership over the phone, but they don't. They make it so difficult you give up and continue paying their monthly fee, which is such a scam. BTW, I cancelled my membership on September 3, 2025, but the gym failed to actually do so. Do better, Fitness 19. This is why people hate gyms.

I’ve been bodybuilding for 27 years and have trained at gyms on both coasts. I settled at Fitness 19 in Midland Park a few years ago and couldn’t be more satisfied. The price can’t be beat, the equipment is modern and always clean, and the staff is consistently helpful. The members are friendly and respectful, which makes for a great atmosphere no matter your experience level. Whether you’re just getting started or three decades in, give this place a shot — you won’t regret it.

Not sure why Google review showed me given this gym 2 stars without any wording. I don’t remember ever posting a review for Fitness 19 along with several other businesses Google seems to think I reviewed. So to set the record straight, I’m very happy and satisfied with this gym. Fair price. They take care of the equipment and usually fix anything that breaks pretty quickly. They are in the middle of a renovation so some areas are blocked off but overall it’s a good gym. I apologize for the confusion with the 2 star empty review.

This gym is amazing the workers are extremely friendly especially Mike and Reggie the trainers there. the equipment is up to date and extremely great feeling to use and the atmosphere of the gym is spectacular because of the people that come in have high energy and are nice to talk to. I originally called over the phone to cancel my membership and was told I would have to come in person, but was assured that my account would be frozen in the meanwhile.

And for a while I was only being charged 5/month, up until 2 months ago when I realized I was being charged 15/month again.

A ten dollar difference really isn't the end of the world, but the lack of transparency and greedy behaviour is not very appreciated.

In the future, spare your poor customer the 30 minute yapping session over the phone and just do what you say you'll do 🤨

I've been a member of Fitness 19 for almost a year now, and I can honestly say it's been one of the best decisions I've made for my health and wellness. The gym is always spotless, and the new sauna is such an amazing addition!

A huge shoutout to Brandon my personal trainer, who has completely transformed my body from the inside out. His training program has pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of, and his motivation keeps me striving for more every session. Brandon kicks your ass when necessary, which I appreciate. I have learned so much since beginning my training, and the results I’ve seen are incredibly encouraging. I’ve never felt healthier, and I owe it all to his expertise and encouragement.

The entire staff at Fitness 19 is incredible. Shane is an amazing manager—always professional, friendly, and quick to help whenever needed. Reg is such a down-to-earth, cool guy who brings great energy to the gym. And if you’re looking for another incredible trainer, Amanda is fantastic!

The behavior of the staff and owner was extremely unprofessional. A staff member used offensive language towards me, and when I asked him to be more respectful, two additional staff members threatened and challenged me to a physical confrontation. One of them even instructed me to "go outside and handle this" and dared me to make contact with him. As I was leaving, the staff continued to shout at me and followed me outside. Additionally, they involved the police to have me trespassed simply for standing up for myself.

I have been a member of Fitness 19 in Midland Park for the past 2 1/2 years.My personal experience is beyond excellent due to the outstanding cleanliness of the facility and numerous exercise equipment including choice of free weights.
My personal trainers Amanda and Mike (Kendra in the beginning),my grandsons trainer Felix,as well as the entire staff are all very professional, helpful and friendly.
Having said that and considering my "golden" age, working out in a fitness centers since my early twenties I would like to conclude my review with the final opinion - come and check it out!

So I joined this gym a day ago after taking a tour with Nick…I was looking for the “next level” gym…. I’ve loved lifting since I was in high school but recent health issues kept from walking let alone lifting. I was given the all clear roughly a month ago and joined the first place I found…fine gym but missing human connection and looked and felt like all the cookie cutter gyms, equipped with the same gear nothing more nothing less. After going for about a month 5-6 days a week, I started looking for what I really wanted…I found Fitness 19 in midland and was hooked after playing around with the 3d tour…. This place is anything but basic top tier gear, multiples of everything, and clean, new functioning equipment. They have I body scans, great locker rooms and Nick and the team are constantly adding to it…I’m excited about the upcoming sauna and red light therapy! But the one thing this place has that’s really special are the people…the staff I met are professional, kind and genuinely love what they do and truly want to help and get to know you. If you’re starting out or a “veteran” fitness buff you owe it to yourself to check out Fitness 19 Midland….next level gym at a unbelievable price!!!

I've been training with Marc at Fitness 19 for almost 6 months now. This is the absolute best experience I've ever had with a personal trainer! Marc is extremely knowledgeable. You can tell he takes time to plan a customized workout for each of his clients. His workouts are very efficient, with minimal down time in between exercises. He's not wasting time running around to gather equipment, or trying to think up exercises on the fly. He's completely focused on you, as the client.
When working out on my own, another trainer, Rob has also offered me some helpful tips when he noticed my form was off on a particular exercise. He took the time to show me additional exercises to strengthen that area and improve my form.
There have also been times where I've asked a fellow gym member for help or to spot me, and everyone has always been very polite and helpful. I'm so thankful to have Marc as my trainer, and to be part of the Fitness 19 gym community!

This fitness 19 location is owned and operated by a team who take pride in what they do. Machines are never out of order for more than a day or two. Everything is cleaned daily. The equipment is spaced properly, staff rearranges layout periodically to maximize floor plan, and new in-demand equipment is added every so often. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

Everything you could want in a gym from a product and service standpoint. The value proposition for a membership at this location is better and more attractive than any other local gym because it offers what I value. Thanks for being awesome, F19.

Was excited to start a trial here, but $199 enrollment fee and no veterans discount? Left a bad taste in my mouth so I won't even continue with the trial since I know I won't be signing up. I was told to keep an eye out for deals weekly, but I have no interest in doing that. On a positive note, everyone I spoke with was courteous and the gym looked well maintained and spaced out.

No complaints about Fitness 19. It's a nice facility. It has everything I want / need. The equipment is well maintained and the space is clean; people put away their weights. It's typically fairly crowded, but - because it's a fairly large gym - it never feels too crowded. There are three separate smaller spaces where folks can do functional type training (plyo boxes; medicine balls; sled push; etc).

I went for my free trial and was truly disappointed with this gym… won’t rerun until things change around there. When first walking in I asked the young lady at the front desk a simple question about the gym equipment and she was very impolite towards me.
This experience made me regret trying to back in shape. Felt very judged by this young lady. Not quite sure, I believe her name was Sara. Very unprofessional. Will not be coming back. Sorry fitness19 DO BETTER!

I have been in an out of different gyms for the past 20 years. I've seen it all - from 90$/month memberships to 20$/month memberships, and let me tell you, for the price you're paying at Fitness 19, you're getting everything you need.
From the equipment,to the clean environment and the friendly staff.
Now if you're part of the "complaining culture" that is growing in our country,yea you'd find something to complain about.
Have I seen any treadmills not working?
Maybe once or twice.
Would I complain about it? Ofcourse not. Why? Because it happens. Machines need constant maintenance and we all know the maintenance guy isn't sitting right outside the door. So yes, this is great gym, friendly environment, lots of natural light which gives you a positive vibes. Lots of TVs and good music. No creepy people. Clean bathrooms. Sanitizing wipes and hand gels always available. Plenty of parking spots.
I highly recommend it!

As a gym rat who has been a member of many gyms in different states, this gym has been one of the best gym I've visited. Very clean, friendly staff and great gym crowd. And, unbelievable affordable membership rate.

Whoever called me over the phone was very pushy about the free trial (which in itself is not that bad), but then asked me, "so you don't even know when you have free time before or after work" which is really rude! I was feeling ambivalent about going, and I didn't want to be rude about possibly not wanting to go. But that really turned me off from going. 💀 When a customer has said "no" multiple times, you think being rude about will change their minds? No sales metric is worth it being this pushy AND rude about it.
