This class was exactly what I needed to push myself and start a new healthy chapter. It was a high-energy, full-body workout that kept me engaged from start to finish. The instructor was electric—super knowledgeable, encouraging, and really attentive to everyone’s different skill levels, offering helpful feedback throughout and making sure everyone had proper form. Tried out the Bodyweight Bootcamp workout session as part of my classpass schedule and it was nothing short of amazing. The people in the place are friendly, warm, welcoming and workout was intense. It was a full body workout in the 1 hour. Gene is an amazing coach and is extremely motivating and so are your peers. Definitely give it a try if you are looking for a fun and challenging class.

Had a super good HIIT workout, came out of the gym drenched! I liked that there was a lot of variety in the 45-50 minute workout, and it was not super automated like F45. Will definitely go to GeneWorks again!

Gene is one of the best fitness coach who is motivating, challenging, and supportive. I tore my ACL while playing football, which required two surgeries. I thought I wouldn't be able to continue doing HIIT bootcamp training at Geneworks.Following my second surgery, I began PT and training with Gene. Gene assisted me in recovering quickly in 3 months from surgery without any setbacks by providing nutrition kit, exercises and stretches. Thus, I was able to complete the Deka fitness challenge in just three months after my second knee surgery! I enjoy all of his weekly bootcamp classes, which includes different workouts every day. I highly recommend this place if you don't know where to start your fitness journey, are recovering from surgery and to get back in shape or have any goal/challenge to achieve.

It’s been a lil over a year now, even during a pandemic, still going strong. Gene’s work outs are safe and kept at a distance. It’s intense and get the job done very effectively in a short period of time.

My wife and I are still at it! Can't stop wont stop! Once you start training with Gene, it becomes part of your daily routine, you look forward to the intense training and pushing yourself forward. He keeps things fresh with new ideas and exercises every week.

Wow hard to believe it’s been 3 years now!!!! Still going strong all thanks to Gene! If you are looking to get in shape for 2023 I can’t say enough good things about Gene and what he has accomplished. All I can highly recommend doing is give it a try and you will not be sorry! It’s definitely on a whole different level with his training program!

Gene’s Bodyweight boot camp class is the best! I found this place exactly a year ago and was a bit nervous after not having worked out in awhile. The people and class were beginner friendly yet I still find the workouts challenging a year later. I like that every day of the week’s class are a bit different (cardio focused, strength focused, etc.) and Gene creates an amazing and motivating atmosphere for all. Prior to this place I was very inconsistent but it’s kept me coming back! It’s the best thing I’ve done for both my mental and physical health. Thank you Gene!

I've been attending Gene's bootcamp classes for a few months now, and it has an amazing experience! Gene is incredibly motivational and takes the time to get to know everyone in the class personally, which creates a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
The class format varies daily, alternating between cardio, endurance, and strength, so you're always training in different ways and targeting almost every major muscle group. Classes are different every day, so you never get bored.
On top of all that, I've lost 10 lbs since starting! If you're looking for a dynamic and effective workout with a fantastic trainer, I highly recommend Gene's bootcamp class.

During my time in NJ, being a part of this workout group was therapeutic for me. Gene always curated great workouts and pushes you to be the best version of yourself. 100% recommend! This was my first time in an HIIt class. I am looking to lose weight and build endurance. I have been looking for a similar class in Nj and was pleased to find this. I weigh 276lbs and i am not considered fit! The coach was kind and walked me through the process ensuring that i was okay through out, while encouraging me to push through! The space is clean, the vibe is clean. Participants were very encouraging as well, i did not feel like i was being judged! I absolutely loved it and would be returning!

I’m a huge fan of HIIT, functional fitness, and circuit training. Gene’s class offers so many different exercise modalities and is challenging without being intimidating. Classes are relatively low-impact, and while he will challenge you to push yourself, the exercises are scalable and suitable for various levels of fitness. I highly encourage anyone to try his class at least once!

Took the Monday 7 PM cardio hit class and from the beginning Gene, the coach was very nice and welcoming. He was also attentive to the fact that it was my first time and informative about how the class was going to go down!!
The energy was great, and the workouts were challenging, but the others in class were super friendly and supportive to see me push through!!
If high intensity styled training is your thing than this is definitely worth giving it a try!! Glad I came

I have to say, when I walked into Gene’s studio I was just curious, but I wasn’t ready to commit to myself. What I didn’t know was that Gene was about to change my life.
Imagine a coach who meets you where you’re at and helps you get out of your own way by tackling the very things that you do to sabotage your own success. He has been a mentor to me for a year now, and he didn’t give up on me even though I was giving up on myself. It took me a year to get into his studio but he made sure I was guided along the way even if I wasn’t working with him yet! Gene truly cares about everyone he works with and personalizes their plan of care. He doesn’t simply manage your workout routine and fix your form, that’s basic work for a trainer…Gene exceeds this by working on your mind and habits so that you can stick to the plan (a plan that is personalized to you btw). He doesn’t do group training; he takes time out to meet individually with each person he trains…
I can certainly go on, and this rating doesn’t do justice to what Gene offers.
In short though, I can confidently say that Gene offers the advice of a professional nutritionist, the relief of a physical therapist and the coaching of someone who manages athletes. His educational background plays a huge role in how much he can help with. I’ve tried many programs and even other in personal trainers, but Gene is the best thus far!

Great first time HIIT class experience with Coach Gene! I just started working out consistently this year but I’ve never done a HIIT workout. I was pretty intimidated at the thought of it but after my experience at the Bodyweight Bootcamp I’m sold! Coach Gene was super nice, and well versed on the benefits and purpose of each workout. He made it very comfortable for everyone to go at their own pace and he encouraged us throughout. I plan to be regular and you should too!

The best coach I have ever had. Period . Gene every day motivates us prior to sessions through his encouraging messages and videos that pulls me out of my home to the turf . During the session, his energy level and the way he gets me to put my 100% is incredible . I can see the difference - the strength , stamina and overall fitness level I have gained in last couple of months . I feel super lucky to find Gene as my trainer! He is vastly knowledgable in the fitness/health domain and always shares great tips based on my fitness needs. He knows just how much push it takes for me to reach my goal. GeneWorks Fitness in the Edison Metuchen area of NJ is the premier training / personal training program to join. I’ve been working out for years and have seen the most results after joining with Gene and following his program. I am a financial worker that works at a desk all day and if you want to take your fitness to the next level, step outside your comfort zone and join with GeneWorks.
My body composition, energy levels, focus and mentality are through the roof. One on one sessions and group training is available. Take advantage of both, if this holiday season / New Year’s resolution is AGAIN, to get in shape, make 2023 the year you focus on change; put someone in your corner that has your best interest in mind and join GeneWorks, don’t go it alone. I’ve done plenty of gyms and none compare to the sessions GeneWorks offers.

Where do I even begin?
First of all, 5 stars don’t do Gene’s talent justice: I’d need more stars!
Before I even discussing the quality of his training I need to say a couple of things about Gene as a person:
1. I have rarely met such a caring individual. The heart might be his biggest muscle.
2. There’s never a session I go through without laughing. Gene has this talent to push you beyond your limits AND crack you up at the same time!
Now let’s talk training.
Gene doesn’t take a simplistic, quick fix approach. He takes the time to understand who you are, what your lifestyle looks like and helps you set clear goals.
I had back pain issues before we started training (I have young kids). That’s now a thing of the past, as Gene told me during a torture session - sorry I meant exercise session! “You’ll never have back pain ever in your life again!”
I sincerely can’t believe he’s managed to deliver so quickly!
Since we’ve started working together I feel energized and strong. But I’ve also learned to breathe better and improved my flexibility and form. Keep in mind, I was already fairly fit, but Gene is bringing me to the next level.
So if you’ve been looking for a trainer, Gene’s your man. Don’t hesitate one minute, your body and mind will thank you!

I met Gene several months ago. I was 53 and having some pretty serious health issues. Gene was very patient, but still encouraged me to reach my full potential. Update since Aug. 2019: It’s been a little over a year (now 10/2020) since I’ve been coming to see Gene to train (train, not exercise!) and even got my husband to join. Gene is professional, very passionate for fitness, he knows when to push and when to pull— and challenges you. You can go to his 45 min. workouts in as little time as compared to spending so many hours in the gym — with more progress/weight to lose and muscle to gain. Gene is a coach who practices what he preaches and care deeply about helping people feel their best!

Gene and his class are AMAZING!!!! Gene is one of the most pleasant and motivating trainers I’ve met. I’ve struggled getting into a fitness routine and feeling comfortable working out, and Gene always make sure my workouts are adjusted for my size and ability! The class is generally 8-12 people which is a great size! He offers advice/ consultations on nutrition and body assessments if needed. Gene is a very good trainer. I work out on my own most of the time and go once a week to group sessions. It’s a very good way to stay motivated to work out and get in shape. Even if you work out on your own you can get tips on how to work out properly. I get new ideas for different exercises and incorporate them in my own routine.

I went to one of these classes with my family and we were all really motivated to work with Gene for the whole session! He never pushed us more than we thought we could handle but always kept being attentive if he saw us struggling and encouraged us to do that one extra rep at the end or maintain form as best as we could. It was really fun to see everyone else in the class also giving off positive energy to keep working harder together. It was a great class all around.

I went in this week for the personal assessment and left so . excited!!! Gene is extremely knowledgeable, nice, and 100% non intimidating from the moment you walk in. He assesses you from where you are and encourages you the entire time. I’m personally someone who likes to workout and I can tell he will be just the right amount of challenging without bridging on unachievable lol. I need that!!! Amazing Workout! It was my first time there and I loved how they didn't take it easy on me. I had to do the same things as members who has been there for a longer time. Although, we were all allowed to go at our own paces. The workout was very intense, but the trainer(s) and fellow trainees were very motivate. Honestly the best workout I've ever had. It covered the full body, all in one hour. Definitely something you'll want to experience!
