I truly do love this gym especially the fact that there’s the only women’s side. It’s clean, in an ideal location, and has everything you need to get a good workout in.

My only cons are that there aren’t a lot of lifting stations on the women’s side or a lot of 10lbs and 15lbs dumbbells as well as not at least two of all the machines.

I’ve come to this gym all hours of the day and for early morning and late afternoon is usually my ideal time to come, but these are also high traffic hours so a lot of times I find myself having to wait for a machine to open up or for dumbbells to be made available.

Also, I don’t know who did the dimensions for the first two bathroom stalls in the women’s bathroom but the stall door is so close to the toilet where I can’t help but have my leg rub up against the toilet as I’m opening and closing the door. And when I sit my feet are almost sticking out from the bottom of the stall door. Thank goodness I’m 5’5 so my knees don’t rub up on the stall door but for the taller girls I’m sure they struggle in these stalls.

Other than that, this is a great gym and I do overall think it’s worth the membership!

This is my second membership at Giant. Newer location with the latest life fitness and hammer strength equipment. One of the largest gms with the most equipment. Unfortunately they do a poor job of plate management especially in the leg area. The entrance is littered with warning signs which takes up the majority of the door so not very welcoming. There are more signs throughout the gym in addition to the normal rerack your weights. If you bring wipes in the bathroom it's an immediate cancelation of membership. They have tanning for platinum members but no sauna. There are also massage chairs. The health benefits of a sauna that's kacky reduces this as a full fledge gym especially for the price point.

I’ve been a Giant member for years (as well as other local gyms), and this location truly surpasses the rest.

The gym is spotless, the staff are friendly/attentive, and the atmosphere is refreshingly free of creepers.

All the equipment, including tanning beds and massage chairs, is well-maintained. Even if something’s down, there’s plenty more to use.

They also keep their hours updated online, even for holidays, and the supplement store is excellent.

Worth the platinum monthly and annuals.

I used to just go to the Giant in Washington Township, but since I switched I’ve met and started training with Ava, it's been incredible. She's not just about making you lift heavy stuff😂 she actually explains how everything works like how your body burns fat, why stretching and rolling are important, and all sorts of things. If you want a trainer who really knows their stuff and cares about your overall health, you gotta check out Ava!

Good sized gym with a lot of equipment but somehow there aren’t enough barbells for all of the squat racks and benches and you have to always search for the few handles they have for the cable machines. Would be 5 stars if they had enough of each of these.

incredible today I had the most awkward moment in this place I am a platinum member of this gym I have the right to use the chairs and the pool turns out today I only wanted to get a massage in the chairs a man came because he looked at me with my work uniform shirt and yelled at me to get off the chairs that I couldn't be there when I told him that I was a platinum member and that I was paying for that service he said he didn't care and that he had to check my card I told him I already scanned it and still he went to get my keys he scanned the card and he was going to get me off the chair when I was in front of him I told him I wanted to cancel the membership he told me no that I was sorry that it was a confusion I think that even if the person is not platinum does not mean that they can treat them like that just because they are Hispanic that is being racist it is incredible how in a place they can have racist people at this point in a gym where thousands of Hispanics go it is the first time that in a place like this they track me they treat me ugly and badly for being Hispanic when I am paying for my membership.

Amazing atmosphere, I have gone to Jersey Girls since they have opened! I was hoping you guys would be able to add a select assist dip chin machine onto the girls only side. I am very fond of that machine but am more comfortable being in the girls only side.

Love this gym .It is always very clean and it’s big compared to most gyms. Joe is very and nice and making sure things are running smoothly . Jay is sweet and helpful . Any questions I have Joe or Jay always has answers. I’ve never had problems here and will keep coming here. Hoping clean plate opens soon !

I started going to this gym with my sister to do Training sessions with Ava. Ava is an excellent trainer to go to. She is encouraging, she made me feel comfortable with going to the gym. She was also very patient with me since I was a beginner. She is very good with communication, she responds pretty quickly to messages. She is also helping me figure out workouts to do when I’m at school. From my experience with her, i highly recommend Ava as a trainer.

I had gotten a membership here about a year ago, and then stopped going after a couple months for personal reasons. Coming back last weekend, I saw a sign for “free training” and decided what the heck why not? So I signed up for a Tuesday evening session with Ava… she was there by the front desk as soon as I got there, I actually walked past her🤣. We immediately got started on a nice easy warmup on the treadmill and chatted to get some of my background. After a few minutes we jumped right in. Ava answered every single question I had, no matter how silly, will full confidence and a full explanation. She helps you feel comfortable in the gym even with other people around, I could even tell during our session other people were tuning in to hear what she had to say. Let’s just say 45 minutes later, I feel like jelly, I feel accomplished, and like I made a new friend :-)

Left the squat rack to get some water and some clamps. Came back to the squat rack and my knee wraps were gone. Told the guy at the front and he said the manager would review the tapes. Next day spoke with the manager he said there was a blind spot on the camera. No “I’m sorry,” nothing. I could see if it was the locker room and I didn’t lock a locker but this was right on the gym floor. Canceled my membership the next week and told the clerk what happened, didn’t really seem like anyone cared. I signed up for urge down the street and I wish I did it Sooner. Much cleaner facility and it is a much better environment.

I’ve been coming to Giant/Jersey Girls since November. I absolutely love the environment and also the staff. I’ve been doing sessions with Ava since I stated coming to the gym. She is very patient, helpful, explains and demonstrates all of the exercises, pushes you out of your comfort zone, and also is very encouraging. In under 3 months, I lost 30 lbs because of the training sessions with her. She makes the sessions Fun but also challenging at the same time. I highly recommend Ava as a trainer.

I've been coming to this giant fitness / Jersey girls location for months now. And I've never had an issue until recently. There is a "trainer" on the girls side, I believe her name is Krystyna, she has pink hair. It's been 2 times now that she comes up to me saying "we can't have tripods in the gym" saying it's supposedly a new rule however no other employees have said anything about recording to me. AND shortly after the first time she said it to me I saw her in the gym with her tripod out. Yesterday I was in an area of the gym where there was absolutely no one next to me recording myself doing squats. She comes over and interrupts my set to tell me we can't have tripods in the gym. Again I was in a corner BY MYSELF. Then I saw her walk up to another girl I'm assuming saying the same thing and the other girl asked to speak to a manager. A guy comes over who knows if he's the actual manager or not but he comes over and says WE CAN RECORD, just have to be considerate and not get other people in our shots, which is obvious. I'd really appreciate it if Krystyna ( pink hair) would stop coming up to myself and other girls in the gym interrupting our workouts when there is no official rule about recording in this gym.

I had high hopes going into my sessions with Kristyna (the older woman with pink hair], but unfortunately, I was left incredibly disappointed. From the start, there was a lack of professionalism—arriving late to multiple sessions and not giving me any prior notice. Communication was poor, and it often felt like I was being given the bare minimum of attention during our workouts.

The training itself felt disorganized and repetitive, with no real progression or personalized adjustments. I’ve worked with other trainers in the past, and they made sure to challenge me and tailor the routines to my goals. That was not the case here. It felt more like a generic, one-size-fits-all approach, which was frustrating.

On top of that, the atmosphere was uninviting, and I often felt like I was more of a burden than a client. I definitely didn’t feel motivated or encouraged during our sessions. Ultimately, I ended up wasting both my time and money. There are so many other qualified trainers out there, and unfortunately, this one doesn’t measure up.

Lots of design flaws at this location. First off all the ladies locker room smells atrocious. There’s clearly a sewage problem. The bathroom entrance is completely open and the entire gym can see into it. Stalls are ridiculously too small. I’m not even tall (5’2”) and my knees are touching the stall door. Also, the temperature in the gym is either working improperly or the ventilation is bad bc it seems muggy.

I’m coming here bc the location closest to me closed without notice, and to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I hate the no gym bag on the floor rule and they don’t make protein shakes, which I came to look forward from the other location. Overall, the gym has all the equipment you’d need for a good workout but it’s definitely lacking in these particular areas.

I’ve been to a lot of gyms over the past 40 years and Giant Fitness Clementon location is by far the best I’ve been a member of. Very clean and organized. Multiple machines and free weights so there’s no waiting. Expansive cardio area. Women’s area (Jersey Girls) alleviates over crowding and my wife loves it there. Very friendly staff. Restrooms are as new and cleaned daily. The manager Joe manages the gym the way it should be. I’ve been going 6-7 days a week since it first opened and I hope it stays this way.

Please don’t ever go out of business. This is what a gym should be. This establishment alone makes the other giant fitness locations look like garbage. I wish the other locations would turn theirs into this organized, clean, and good gym etiquette environment location. You won’t find a bunch of self absorbed teenagers and influencers here, mostly people who genuinely want to work out and are passionate about fitness.

Very clean gym. Staff is very friendly. Equipment is brand new & easy to use. Only two downsides are that the bathrooms and stalls are extremely small, they could’ve put more money into making bigger bathrooms, they are very clean , just tiny! Another thing I don’t like, you can’t carry around your gym bag, as someone who has ankle straps for cable kick backs, a foam pad for hip thrusts, headphones, and a water bottle. Not being able to carry a bag is a minor inconvenience.

My only gripe is the male staff that come to the Jersey Girls side. There is a sign that says “No Men Allowed beyond this point” when walking to the Jersey Girls side of the gym, however, sometimes when I’m at this location there are male staff on the girls side. First time they were fixing machines and tvs… okay that’s understandable.

Second time male staff was just on the women’s side talking to one of the cleaning ladies. Again, what’s the point of the sign if male staff can walk over whenever they want? Some of us women are uncomfortable working out with men around. I thought that was the whole premise of the women’s section. If I wanted to work out with men around I would stay on the Giant Fitness side.

New is not always better but in the case of Giant Fitness in Blackwood… it is the case!! This new facility is open, airy, clean, ample amount of equipment and is still 24 hours. I really appreciate how many more squat platforms were put in and the new treadmills which have a similar feel and ride as the treadmills at Orange Theory Fitness. With the exception of “fitness influencers” popping up their tripods to record their workouts, GF Blackwood is an excellent gym!!

I've had a giant fitness membership for more than 5 years now, I regularly go to every location they have in sj. The old blackwood location that recently closed was great just because of how close it was to me. I drove past this new location before the New Year and the equipment inside looks amazing. I've asked around and no one knows when it's opening. Looking forward to this one!
