Terrible management for the kids swimming classes. My kid has been having the class for a bit over a year, it was good at the beginning, but later on, coach start to keep canceling classes or just “ no show”, we wasted many time driving there and wait. We complained several times, but it just got worse. We asked for refund and the manager refused to do it. It’s a really disappointing experience.

This gym charges higher fees compared to others (around $69 a month), yet it often shortens hours on holidays and limits access without much consideration for members. Recently, they started blocking off the pool twice a day (9:00–10:00 a.m. and 1:30–2:30 p.m.) for outside groups, which means regular paying members lose access, even though we already pay full price. It feels like they prioritize making extra profit over treating existing members fairly. The way they run things does not reflect good business ethics or respect for their customers.

I think your experience here really depends on the time of day and which locker room you use. I go in the morning and everything seems pretty clean, most people wipe down machines, and the women's locker room is always in good shape. tbh I love that they don't allow people to film themseleves. Everyone is kinda doing their own thing and it seems like a decent gym so far. My reason for knocking off a star is I really wish they had a towel service and some of their equipment seems old, I really wish they'd replace their yoga mats in the main gym.

Our annual membership was done in 2024. We did not renew it. But the Glenpointe Fitness charged $62.91 on 1/6/2025 without our consent. We emailed and left messaged but no response.

To solve this issue, I made appointment with Kevin, a manger of the center. Then today I met him in the center. The center can’t refund it, he said. I showed him the email, which says “my member ship will be expired soon”. The email was sent on 1/2/2025. I replied “No more Glenpointe Fitness. My wife and I changed to other center”. Kevin said the mail was not effective. It’s too absurd. But my membership had been ended on 12/31/2024. Because I paid full annual membership fee in advance on 1/1/2024.

And 30 minutes later two membership key passes of me and my wife was returned and Jennifer, a manager was written and signed on the same document that Kevin signed too.

It was good before 3 years ago. But now it’s totally different. It got worst in facility and faculties: dirty and rude. Whoever to do exercises, think twice before decision and check its machines: too dirty and too old. For further question, leave message.

When you go to Glenpointe fitness in Teaneck, you must check its rusty in almost every machine in its 1st floor fitness and more seriously so dregs and residues on the floor of the swimming pool. It did not clean up every day. Kid and adults swim and exercise in the not healthy environment. Double check its jacuzzi next to swimming pool. Incredibly so much residues under water.

As you read all the reviews in Google, the center has no or little intention to be better.

Downgrading stars. Being generous. Probably should do one. Where to start? Several members asked that the bench (for sitting) be returned to its spot near the coat closet so members can sit and change shoes etc before going on the gym floor. It had been moved during Covid for social distancing. No big deal right? Wrong. Office staff either passed the buck or said “yes, next week” which never came and then the manager told me it wouldn’t be replaced at all. He pointed to a beat up chair near the entry and that that’s all we would get. When I complained about weekend receptionist arriving late keeping everyone waiting I was gaslighted. I’ve been a member for over a decade, mostly for convenience, but may rethink it. Oh and PS - the locker rooms are dirty and people don’t re-rack weights and they sit on equipment texting for long periods and management seems to do nothing.

Gym was okay, powerlifters beware, they don't allow filming. Some employees are nice some, not so much! If you are into causal lifting this gym is for you, wouldn't recommend for serious lifters. Clean for the most part just old equipment. Had a rude encounter with the owner I think he seemed to make everyone om edge when he was around and doesn't seems friendly in the slightest. I didn't noticed the film sign, which is my fault. I asked an employee since I was in the corner and stated this is just for my coach. The employee said yes, then the owner I assume came to me angry and stated I must not be able to read. He was extremely rude, if I had seen the sign I wouldn't have but i asked an employee so thought it was okay. Owner even yelled at someone about their phone. Again good gym for casuals, not for serious lifting, they gave Limited equipment.

What a mess of a website and totally unprofessionalism from staff, especially Ezra. How can you book and confirm appointments with an instructor that left the establishment 2 weeks ago. Came in on a Sunday to speak to someone about joining, a young lady with a heavy accent stated that she does not work in that department and then she left while I was standing in the middle of the gym looking confused with no help from the front desk nor the young lady who worked there. I and their head of swimming activities planned few more classes for myself and my friend. I highly recommend this place, if you like swimming. They also offered me to try their gym. I recently moved to the Teaneck and tried this gym. Their system has impressed me. The gym itself was amazing to use. There were instructors that you can some stuff. After trying for a few days, I can easily say that the place is very great. I also heard that they have pool stuff and you can easily arrange a spot to have some training for swimming. I think that I will be going more. The place was clean which is amazing for a facility. I have been doing gym stuff about 10 years now. I can rank this place one of the best so far. I will keep updating my review, if things change.

Glenpointe has so much to offer. They have many different classes you can take. The classes are really enjoyable and interactive. The trainers are really great as well. They really care about your ultimate goal and you reaching that goal. They really help you stay on track and truly care. The customer service is great. Everyone that I have encountered so far has been very helpful, respectful and knowledgeable. They have a large size pool with pretty decent hours. The facility itself is very clean, organized and modern. This gym is definitely a great gym to join!

I am finally exploring gyms/pools again after 2 years of COVID precautions. The staff of GlenPointe answered my questions and seemed professional enough. I finally gave their location in Teaneck a try. I was mainly interested in the pool for swimming 1+ miles at a time. I was under the impression the aquatics area was 18+ . This was shattered when 3 soaking wet children came piling out of the elevator . I was assured that "lessons only took up one lane". Ok, tolerable. Lanes reservations are 30 minutes and can be shared/split . Hummmmmm...still willing to give it shot. Locker rooms appeared clean enough, with a digital lock system . The sauna was broken. Got to the pool and it literally looked like it was taken from the hotel next door. It was small..maybe 4 lanes and 20 yards long at the most. Unfortunately swim lessons took up half the space..leaving 2 lanes for paying gym members/ adults to swim ( also informed by a member that a team will be practicing on Wednesdays)
Halfway through, I got squeezed next to the lessons when someone wanted to split the lane. Unfortunately I couldn't see the person swimming near me, due to the water being extremely cloudly with chunks of debris floating around. I finished my laps as quickly as possible and rushed home to shower . If you just need a pool for a quick dip or quick paddle, GlenPointe may work for you. Stay away if you require an adult-only space or a serious swimmer.

If you are looking for a good barbell workout, don't look here. There are plenty of dumbbells, TONS of machines but only one flat barbell bench for benchpress that folks love to hold for their exclusive use while the rest of us wait. No offer or courtesy to share or allow you to work in and no guidelines from the staff to urge anyone to make equipment available for others’ use. I modified my workout today while waiting over 30 minutes for an elderly gentlemen to finish using the bench. At least he got his workout in. If you're staying at the Marriott and want to use dumbbells, treadmills, ellipticals, or weight machines, this is your place. Otherwise, find another gym.

This gym is more about breadth than depth. They have a pool, sauna, hot tub and a good range of equipment (machines and free weights), which makes it a decent one-stop shop. It is not crowded, but because they have only 1 of every machine, a lot of time is spent waiting for core equipment, or altering your workout to make use of equipment that is available. The squat/deadlift area is especially backed up.the cardio area, on the other hand, has multiple duplicate machines and is usually empty.

Cleanliness is average. It's not the cleanest or dirtiest, but it can use a bump in maintenance (eg broken lockers).

Guest passes are a bit pricey ($15 per session) and multi-day/weekly passes are not available for out-of-town guests who do not require a full membership.

Overall, an adequate gym that is good for it's breadth of equipment and cardio, but not for serious weight training or classes.

I have been a member at Glenpoint for 3 years and I am a professional in the fitness industry.  I became a member because  it was whole in the wall and had a different atmosphere than the stereotypical gym.  Well within 6 months I saw how the place was taking a beating.  It was looking run down, terrible flooring, old equipment, and leaks everywhere.  I stopped using the gym for about a year and went back in January.  Wow!!  The place had a major face-lift,  new floors, a turf area was created, new cardio equipment, new locker rooms, and a new hot tub was installed.  All this positive change and then COVID hit.  While the gym was closed I had some questions and sent an email to the customer service email address.  I was so pleased to not only get a response but a rapid response from the GM, Lauren Peluso.  She was quick to answer my questions regarding my membership, the customer service was impressive and it was a pleasure working with her.  This past week I returned for the first time since reopening.  The fitness floor was immaculate, equipment was spaced to guidelines, and plexiglass was installed.  The thought and planning was evident.  Another win and thank you to Lauren!!  If you are looking for a place to workout that has a passionate and caring leader(a rarity these days), this is the place for you.

Expensive gym touting amenities which are more than frequently broken and unavailable. Pool heater - broken, whirlpool - broken, hot water for showers - broken. The place is always filthy and weights left on machines. No pride in the establishment by the employees or management. Often the receptionist doesn’t “show” to even open up in the morning. The staff and management used to be really great here. NOT anymore. The present management is the worst I've encountered so far. Been a long time member but I can't stand the management here. You call and leave a message no one gets back to you. You have to go to the facility in person to try to talk to someone. Membership Cancellation Issue
I took an 18 month membership at the Spa and used it only a couple of times. And at the end of 18 months, I called membership to cancel.

The person I spoke to on the phone confirmed it was canceled. However, when we checked our accounts the membership fees were charged to us for 11 months more.

Our membership agreement indicates that if we do not cancel, we would be charged month to month. We did make a cancellation however, but we were charged anyway, not month to month,but strangely as if we had renewed, which we didn't do.

I am writing to request a refund of the eleven months of payments that we were charged inadvertently. So crazy

The girl who takes care of the gym (after closing I think?) has been repeatedly rude over the course of 2 years that I’ve been coming here, but most recently she literally did not let me use the water fountain to fill up my bottle because “the camera is watching”. Either she is letting a lot of “power” get to head, or she severely fears being punished for allowing someone to use a water fountain that is right by the front door right after closing. Cavita, swimming coordinator is not responsible to set up the schedule and organize with swimming coach. No call-backs at all. Have no idea of why voicemail was set. I left my message for assistant manager to call me back, I will see whether I get a call back within today.

This is a great facility. Great amenities. Wait for it..... the management just kills the whole thing. They are the most unprofessional management I have ever seen at a community gym. In fact it’s exactly the opposite at others I have been to. At other gyms they are super nice because they want to build long term relations. Not at this one. I've been going to this gym for half a year, so hopefully my comments have some merit. I lasted this long only because it was in the building I worked and no close alternative was available.
It is the most filthiest gym I have ever seen. The carpets look like they haven't seen proper cleaning since they've been placed there - riddled with stains, dust and skidmarks. What compounds the problem is that most clientele do not adhere to basic cleanliness rules, nor do any of the staff enforce it: rarely does anyone use a towel with machines, despite free towel service being provided; almost noone wipes the gear after using it, despite sanitation wipes available. I've seen people walk in with same shoes & gear they came in, and noone at the front desk saying a word.
The locker rooms, showers & pool area is equally disgusting. Men's locker rooms are full of dust; discarded nail clippings, bandaids are often to be seen in the shower area. Pool and sauna are equally sad. Same as on the gym floor, people are equally forgetful of common courtesy towards others: farts, burps and ejecting mucus can often be heard in the men's lockers, despite most of the clients' high school days far behind them.
The only positive element of this otherwise aging and run down gym is the great staff that work there. If you can bare the filth of this place, they're the ones making a positive difference.

I have joined this gym recently and I am happy to say that I am satisfied with their staff and programs. My favorite classes are the Studio Cycling, and PiYo. For a beginner like me, I highly recommend to use one of their personal trainers. Their guidance make a big difference in the proper use of the equipment, as well as the encouragement to keep me going and achieve my goal faster. Special thanks go to Eric and Frank who welcomed me to the gym, and Esther my personal trainer. They always make me comfortable and motivate me to keep improving. Thanks guys!

UPDATE: I had a chance to catch up with new management regarding the concerns I've listed. She (Lauren) is super nice and very receptive. She was able to reassure me that everything being done is for the greater good of the members and the gym overall. I have been a member for 2 years now. I used to love this gym and spa. The classes are great. I usually frequent the cycling class, the Power45 class, and the muscular toning class. I also use the facility to use the equipment as well. However, I went out on maternity leave for 6 months (Apr18-Sep18) and came back to a change in management staff. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in the changes.

The amenities like clean towels used to be in the locker rooms on the nice pretty cherry shelving, easily accessible before hitting the showers, now you have to ask staff at the front desk for towels which by the way looks tacky with that big laundry cart at the front desk. The sweat towels are never stocked anymore. They used to be on a nice standing cart against the wall just before you walked into the main workout area and on the nice cherry shelves soon as you come out of the locker rooms but now it's just a few lying around on the trainers desk if you're lucky. I constantly have to ask staff for a sweat towel. The water pressure in the women's locker room is horrible. I feel like I'm taking a bird bath. There is never any stocked toilet paper in the bathrooms either.

One day I was working out and a trainer made me move because he wanted to use the area for his client. Good thing I'm nice but that is just rude. Trainers should have their own designated area were they train with free weights and stretching. They shouldn't just move other people who also pay their memberships out of the way.

There are also buckets/pails in the main workout area and the cycling room with a big hose in it from the ceiling. It smells like poop.

The pool, whirlpool/jacuzzi is always being serviced. Not to mention maintenance men are always there and there are women walking around unclothed. Not sure why but I get tons of emails about it and the manager is never anywhere to be found. The previous manager was always there, always engaged with the customers as well. Also, the woman at the front desk is constantly on the phone and always personal calls. I do not like standing waiting to ask for towels and I've already scanned by card and checked in. I use the facility mainly during lunch hour or after work because I work in the next building so I'm on a time schedule.

The only reason why I am staying is because of the lunch time workout convenience and the classes I take, the instructor is really great. Other than that, I would have left months ago after the management change.

Several times I took my grandson to scheduled swimming lessons at this place, only to bring him back crying due to cancellations. Our 6 year old son has been taking swimming lessons here for some time. The Spa has been place to do exercise, swim, relax, sometimes "work from home" for decades. When I travel, always compare. The Spa wins. The staff is great, from maintenance to instructors to management. It feels like a real club where great relationships have flourished. I would recommend it anytime

I am extremely picky, and a business really has to go above and beyond, or really disappoint for me to write a review.

I have been coming here for about a year now, and everything is perfect. The equipment is always clean and always working. They have an endless supply of towels, the temperature is always right and the people that work there from the porters, trainers, office staff, and even the owner (i think he is) are extremely nice.

My entire family signed up for membership at this gym and all of us were assigned to Frank, the gym membership advisor, who has made our experience at Glenpointe Spa & Fitness nothing but satisfactory so far! We had a negative experience with another fitness chain (which rhymes with Glub Petro Fitness) so we were on the fence to sign up for gym membership again, but Frank and Glenpointe proved that professionalism and customer service still exist in this industry. There are some wears and tears around the facility but everything is well-kept, and the reception associates are friendly. Definitely recommend.

This fitness center is very clean. The porters are constantly cleaning. It's a full spa. I enjoy the towel amenities. This morning i was greeted by the manager Greg. Pretty impressive that the manager is hands on. I also enjoy the pool with its beautiful glass enclosed ceiling. I encouraged my brother to join as well.

I have been going for the past few weeks to this gym. It's worth every red penny! Clean, clean, clean! The members are friendly and I love the fact that it's not a "steroid" or "meat market" gym. (I'm there to workout. I think it's great that I look like the other members working towards our fitness goals.) So far, I am enjoying my fitness journey at this gym.

I love this spa, it is clean and has towels. The classes are fun and the steam room, sauna and jacuzzi is excellent to relax. The pool is also fun with kid swim hours which my son enjoys. There is also free childcare. It doesn't get better than this.

My friend brought me in as a guest today. Besides the fact that the gym is very clean from locker rooms, Steam room , pool and cardio area I must say that the manager was funny, witty with a great personality. This is a high end gym. I will sign up in 3 1/2 weeks when my other membership expires.

I was a guest today at the glen pointe spa and will definitely be coming back to join. I had a great workout with Rita then was able to des tress in the spa area. Barbara is an amazing staff member who answered all of my needs and made sure I had an amazing experience. I was so comfortable with my atmosphere I lost track of time. Next time I will come back and join before I start my workout.

I just recently canceled my gym membership to try out Glenpointe fitness center. I have heard nothing but great things about this location I said, "why not give it a shot!" It was such a refreshing feeling from the moment I walked in. I felt so welcomed Gregg was phenomenal he really made me feel like I this was my second home. My old gym didn't have half of what this spa and fitness center has to offer. They have a high end spa with blow dyers, very clean pool, suana and steam room. This is a great place to come too with friends and family. I would highly recommend Glenpointe spa and fitness center. Thank you Gregg for all of your help!!!!

I've been going to this gym for over 4 years, and it's great. I don't know much about the swimming department, but the main gym is great. The main floor has a lot of different machines (new too) and plenty of them. I've never felt uncomfortable in the gym. The staff are friendly and supportive, and the group exercises are great. I absolutely love yoga there; I go when I can. In addition, training sessions are great because all the trainers are super experienced and focused on your well being. In my experience, the Glenpointe is a wonderful gym! :)

Very unorganized.. Once the swimming lesson was double booked and once the trainer didn't show up. No one knows about how the trainers are qualified. Plus, if there is a lightening, your class gets canceled but you still get charged. I would never use this place again.

I have to give a bad review now for this gym even though I'm a member, the reason being is they have implemented a policy on their locker room not allowing to bring in children of opposite sex. Today I was kicked out of the locker room after I attended family swim with my son who is 3 stating no boys could be in the locker room. I'm also 7 months pregnant. The manager said it's protecting the privacy of others and also it's in their insurance. They have tents for changing in the pool area. My issue is around the fact he said that a lifeguard could watch my kid while I go to the bathroom, which I find absurd considering he/she is supposed to be watching people in the pool. also, there is no public restroom there in the pool area or on the floor so if your kid has to immediately go to the bathroom, they don't have a solution. So, this gym is protecting privacy of others but discriminating against parents who are there alone with the opposite sex young child as well as putting the public at a safety risk. I have not heard other gyms doing this and most people feel this is ridiculous, especially with a toddler so young. If they are to have "family swim" and also implement a policy as such, they should consider solutions for these other issues that arise from such an event. The gym area is ok, people are friendly as far as staff, but seems lifeless somewhat and many people are much older (there is not a balanced audience of young/older). There seems way too many personal trainers and many don't even seem in shape themselves. The staff is pretty friendly though, other than people coming up to kick you out of the locker room because of the policy.

I have been a member here for a few months. As far as the fitness center goes the equipment is pretty dated. Most of the treadmills and other cardio machines don't have their own tv's. I was told a new management team is going to order some new equipment. The free weight section is big enough so that we don't bump in to each other which was a problem at Planet Fitness. The part I like most about the facility is the pool area. After my workout I can take steam or sauna and then go into the pool or whirlpool. The outdoor pool deck is nice, especially early afternoon when nobody is there. At PF I just worked out and went home. Glenpointe is much more than just a gym. So, I guess it's worth the extra money. I'm hoping the new equipment gets here soon.

My experience with the aquatics department/swimming lessons for my child has been one of the singular worst ordeals of my life. They are EXTREMELY disorganized. I have been trying to get in 10 prepaid sessions for 15 months. They have double-booked me 3 times. I have shown up THREE OTHER TIMES to NO instructor. They constantly switch directors of the aquatics department. NO ONE returns phone calls. No one has any idea what is going on there. This whole place needs to be shut down and re-organized. The pool is beautiful so it's a shame that it is run by completely incompetent morons. Save yourself the YEAR of aggregation and stay the hell away from this disaster.
