My girls have been at Go for the Gold Gymnastics for 8 years and counting! They started in rec classes and have been a part of their competitive teams for the past 6 years. We love the coaches and staff and have had a great overall experience. This gym has been such a positive influence on my girls over the years!!

We had our daughter’s fourth birthday party here and it was wonderful. The teachers were great and the set up was easy. I loved having our own space rented out and we also did the bouncy house. She had a wonderful time thank you to the staff there.

My daughter has been going to Go for the Gold for the last few years. She first started in the recreational Beginner classes and progressed to the more advanced classes. The coaches placed her in the pre-team’s program and soon after tried out for the Teams. It was my daughter’s first year competing with other NJ gymnasts and it was terrifying at first but she did AMAZING in the NJ STATES. There is so much discipline, commitment and hardwork that goes into the sport. We have seen a positive change in her confidence in this past year.
My daughter absolutely loves Gymnastics and GFTG. She has become extremely passionate about the sport. She is very happy and is always excited to go to practice. What started as just a fun activity, now became her passion and commitment.

My daughter did a 'trial class' a week ago. I will start off by mentioning the trials are not free and each trial class is $30. When I called to register her, I was told she would be evaluated to see if the class we chose was the proper fit for her skillset and level. When we arrived, no one welcomed us or said hello. I could see people in the main office. When they gathered the students to enter the gym and start the class, I brought my daughter in and the teacher simply introduced herself and that was it. When the class was done, the teacher said nothing to me...not a word, and then brought in the next group of kids. No one has contacted me or followed up via phone or email. To top it off, the facility smelled awful and was not clean at all. My daughter even said her hands smelled terrible on the way home. Why on earth would I join this facility and have my daughter become a member? No thanks!

THIS GYM SCAMS MONEY. In 2020, we paid for the competition money, but the competition was cancelled because of coronavirus. We asked for the money back, but the coach said the money would be returned later. I quit because I lost interest and never received the money back. After emailing the coach, he didn’t reply until we threatened to sue. The coach said he couldn’t return the money because it was already split to the other gyms. Thus, we never sued. It has been two years, because I have been waiting for coronavirus to be over to sue them so there is no excuse for how they haven’t returned our money. I am done waiting. I find it disgusting how people can owe others money and not return it and continue to live their lives. This is a trash gym—don’t go.

My daughter attended go for the gold gym for about a year. It seemed like a good gym. Most of the staff was attentive to the kids. She was even invited to participate in the competition team. As most parent know gymnastics is an expensive sport to participate in with gym fees, uniforms, and parent fees in order for your child to participate in the completions which was around $1100. Unfortunately Covid happened and the gym was shut down. Initially the gym was trying to keep us updated with the goings on. During our meetings the gym lead Tim stated that parents could select to have their TPA (parent fees) rolled over to the next year or he would refund parents their money since the season didn’t take place. There was a delay in getting money as per Tim because he had submitted money for the competitions and he was waiting to get the money back from those facilities. We said we would roll over initially. But then things happened and my family decided to move out of state. So I immediately notified the staff to unenroll my child and that I would like to receive my refund since she wouldn’t be participating with the gym anymore. Weeks and weeks went by no communications. I repeatedly emailed the staff through summer 2020 and finally in October I received a call from Tim that my name was coming up on the list to be refunded and I should be receiving within a few wks. I waited a month and no communication. So I emailed Nov. 2020. No response for GFTG staff. They’re absolutely unprofessional and inconsiderate to the parents to think they can just keep peoples money and never once communicated any difficulties about refunding my money. You would think during a pandemic they would understand they people need their money. It wasn’t until I emailed to communicate I wanted a response to resolve this matter or I would be taking them to court did they respond with a snotty response. I would NEVER recommend this gym to anyone. Their staff is unprofessional. They’re inconsiderate. And a JOKE.

Excellent place to send your child to learn gymnastics the way it is meant to be taught. Supportive coaches, attentive and flexible owners who care about the gymnasts' well-being. A happy place that produces champions who feel good about who they are! Great front office staff. All around, I give this gym 5 stars. It stands alone in a sea of gyms that care only about medals, skills, and scores rather than your child's well-being. Bravo.

My daughter loves coming here weekly for class. The coaches seem to be wonderful and caring My only two complaints are the smell and the parking. Some days it can get pretty unbearable. I understand this is a gymnastics school, and kids have been active and wearing their shoes all day, but there must be a way to ventilate the rooms... Fabreeze or a commercial air freshener? I have had several parent complain about this. Parking is absolutely crazy when it's busy. The parking lot is small amd narrow, and a lot of parents are not parked in an actual spot, so you really have to be careful pulling in and out of the parking lot. There is extra parking on the lot next door which I highly recommend!
Update: We just had my daughter's birthday party here. The coaches took care of the kids while the hosts prepare for the party. We had a good time and it wasn't too stressful. Keep it simple! I did Fabreeze down the carpeted areas and sprayed Fabeeze air freshener before setting up. It kept the gym odor at bay. 😊 Don't forget the air freshener!!!
Since our party was at 3:30, there were still kids leaving which made setting up a tad difficult. There were soda cans and water bottles laying around and the bathroom garbage was not emptied. Other then that, the tables were already set up ready for table clothes. Overall it was a nice experience.

I have a boy and a girl at Go For The Gold, both on competitive teams. They both love it! We love it so much that we have been traveling to Go For The Gold from Bergen County for the past three years (6 days a week). My kids wouldn't dream of going anyplace else. The coaches are fantastic. Very tuned in to the needs of the kids. The owners and office staff are also fantastic. They are very accommodating and are always there for you to address any questions or concerns.

My daughter has been taking classes here for the past year. She loves it- it is the highlight of her week. She had to take a few make-up classes and management was very accommodating. 2 of her friends had birthday parties there and she had so much fun. If you are thinking about a gymnastics class for your son or daughter I highly recommend you take a look at Go for the Gold.

Awful customer service. They don't return calls and when you finally reach them they give you an attitude for asking questions. There refund policy is awful as well. They have a 15 week class and after 3rd class will not refund any portion if the child doesn't like the class. Most children don't know if they will like something right away esp. young children. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this awful owned establishment. Lesson learned the hard way get recommendations first and ask more questions if they give you attitude walk away like I should have. Poor poor poor business model and pathetic customer service.
