My daughter has been attending GMGC Short Hills since the summer of 2025. The facility is state-of-the-art, but what truly sets it apart is the exceptional staff. Every member of their team is phenomenal. It can be challenging to engage 3-4-year-olds in a class, but they all possess remarkable patience and care to handle them. I can’t express enough how great they are. If you’re seeking a fantastic place to try gymnastics or ninja training, look no further!

We hosted our child’s birthday party at Gold Medal Gymnastics & Ninja, and it was such a wonderful experience — highly recommend it!
🏃♂️ The gym is spacious and full of fun activities, including inflatable castles that the kids absolutely loved. There were 2–3 staff members leading games and keeping everything organized, while parents could comfortably watch from outside through the glass and on-screen monitors. The playtime lasted about an hour — the kids had a blast and burned tons of energy!
🎈 The party room was beautifully set up — clean, colorful, and decorated with balloons. The staff handled everything from serving food and drinks to cutting and serving the cake, and cleaning up afterward.
🍕 All we had to do was to bring the food and drinks — they took care of setting everything up for us. At the end, they neatly packed all the gifts into two large bags for us to take home, which was such a thoughtful touch.
💛 The staff were all incredibly friendly, professional, and well-trained. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and both kids and parents were super happy.
We’ll definitely be coming back in the future — thank you, Gold Medal Gymnastics & Ninja staff, for making our kid’s birthday so special! 🎉

First, I want to start by saying that I really don’t like leaving negative reviews. What I
dislike even more is when people lie to me and try to make a fool of me.
On Saturday, 2/15, I scheduled a private lesson for my son for Saturday, 2/22, at 1:30 pm. I spoke with both our instructor and the lady at the front desk (Ms. Emely) and made sure we were scheduled for that time.
We arrived at the agreed-upon time, 1:30 pm, only to be told that our class was canceled because of a party booked for that day (parties are usually held on Sundays). However, I did not receive any notice beforehand—no text messages, emails, nothing. Of course, I was upset. I had planned everything for that day and canceled other commitments that conflicted with the timing.
Before leaving this review, I tried to communicate with them.
The young lady at the front desk, Ms. Emely, instead of apologizing for the inconvenience they caused, chose not to take responsibility. Worse, she lied to me, looking right into my eyes and telling me that it wasn’t her with whom I scheduled the appointment. She tried to make a fool of me. I concluded that it was no use talking to her anymore. She should be ashamed of her lie. (I’m not against her—she’s a young, beautiful lady who really helped me out that day to arrange everything.)
I left because I felt really bad. Imagine someone telling you it wasn’t her with whom you spoke, and you know it was her.
I tried to call them later to speak with the manager. I was told that the co-owner would get in touch with me. I waited. Silence. No one reached out to explain themselves. I understand it was a Saturday, but it wouldn’t have taken much time to simply dial my number, listen to what I had to say, and apologize for THEIR mistake.
The most frustrating part of this entire situation is that nobody seems to care at this center.
Update 2/24
The co-owner, Justin, contacted me the next day. He turned out to be a very pleasant person who is just as interested as I am in resolving this issue. He explained to me that this was their first time dealing with booking a private lesson for Ninja. Since it was their first experience, mistakes are understandable. He made it clear that this will not happen again in the future with any other members. I really hope and believe that. We were generously offered two free private lessons, for which I am very grateful.

Gold Medal is really cool. The fact that they have so much to offer is great. I love how they allow you to "try before you buy" because it's so difficult and inconvenient to have to commit to something for your child when they have no experience and may or may not actually enjoy an extra curricular. Every staff member I have encountered was genuinely pleasant. I personally feel like placing the kids in the classes is easier said than done because not everyone is a perfect fit/can benefit equally from the same experiences. I have been wanting to get my daughter and niece signed up, but we still haven't quite figured out what works best for each child. Ideally I'd like to get them signed up for the same class, but when we tested out the ninja class vs. the gymnastics class, there seemed to be a disconnect. I'm not sure if the class size was too large or the instructors don't put as much care/effort into the "temporary/just trying it out" kids...but something just wasn't 100% for either of "my girls." We are not done trying though. We will return when our schedule allows, to see if maybe a tumbling class may be optimal. It's just hard to know with kids in new experiences too. I also love the fact that GM offers the "camp days" during days when kids are off from school. We haven't been able to join one just yet, but the idea of it just seems awesome and helpful.

My daughter went for her trial class and absolutely loved it. The gym is huge and has a lot of equipment to where nobody is running over each other. The instructions not only helped her but also showed her how to do it themselves. We’ll be signing her up for flip classes after the holiday is over.

Not only does my 4 year old LOVE the classes at gold medal but we were absolutely blown away by the professionalism and organization of a birthday party here! The team at GMGC had everything set up and made sure we didn’t have to lift a finger- every parents dream! I even brought my own balloons and backdrop and they turned it into a masterpiece. Thank you gold medal for making our birthday party dreams come true! I highly recommend Gold Medal for classes and birthday parties!!!

Both my kids loooves the place, it is very clean and instructors and office staff can’t be more accommodating, don’t know how many changes I needed but they always try to find a spot for us and most importantly they do it with a smile. As a mom of two constantly juggling in between classes and sports, that’s much appreciated! Thanks Cathrine and Kyle!

ok so i never do this but this has to be done! I’m new to the area and i wanted to check out the gymnastics classes for my 4.5 year old daughter. they offer trial class so i scheduled one during the weekday and made appropriate arrangements to attend. i was called by manger ALYSSA an hour before class telling me it was cancelled due to no instructor. (assuming this is most likely a regular thing) so she offered me the month of NOV for free for the inconvenience. (which i really appreciated). when calling to set up the class for my daughter the manager ALYSSA told me she isn’t honoring that because she didn’t realize my class was a trial class. i was taken back and told her i don’t want my daughter attending your gym. (the gum is mediocre and the management is incompetent) i can assure you the $135 for 5”4 classes is inconsequential to me BUT had you honored the month i would have been a member for the year. so i hope the owner is reading this. business 101 ALYSSA FAILS. should be fired or at least sent back to school. i will also make it a point to tell anyone i know who has kids to stay away. TRUTH is got $55 a month you can go to sky zone the trampoline park and your kids will love it. this place is horrible

Absolutely thrilled with Gold Medal Gymnastics & Ninja! My daughters (2yo & 4yo) have been attending since its opening a few weeks ago, and the transformation in their confidence and skills is incredible. The coaches are not only highly qualified but also incredibly supportive and encouraging. Everyone we have interacted with has been wonderful! Special shoutout to Coach Kyle, who is always so welcoming and kind with my girls. They love him!! The facility is clean, spacious, and equipped with everything they need to excel. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking to get their kids involved in gymnastics. Five stars all the way!

I cant say enough amazing things about the new Gold Medal gymnastics in Short Hills. It offers such an array of different classes. My 8 year old and my 2 year old can take a class at the same time which works great for our schedule. The staff and management are top notch and have been so helpful and kind. They also have the best shop filled with everything you need and more. The facilities are brand new and fantastic!

GMGC is a super exciting new gymnastics and ninja facility in Short Hills. While it is is the first NJ location I am sure it will not be the last. The gym is huge with a ton of great equipment and space. The staff is attentive and high energy. The class offerings and times are really varied so everyone can find one that works for them. We have felt so welcomed and cannot wait for our next class!

Gold Medal Short Hills Gymnastics has been an exceptional experience for my daughter since it first opened. She is currently in the Lil Explorers class, and we couldn't be more pleased. The instructors are incredibly attentive and dedicated, ensuring each child receives personalized attention and support. The facility itself is not only clean but also beautifully maintained, creating a welcoming and safe environment. We truly feel that we've found our long-term gymnastics home here, and we're excited for many years of positive experiences ahead!
