We have had our son in Goldfish since he was 7 months old and he is now over 4 years old. He has tremendous confidence in the water and it truly puts our mind at ease knowing he has gained safety water skills. Ms. Jess, who is now in management was his instructor for over 3 years and we truly felt how much she cared for our child. My son is 4.5 and has been taking lessons since the beginning of September. He loves his lessons. He doesn’t like his face getting wet so they are doing a great job working through this with him.
The app is so easy to use and so much flexibility on rescheduling if needed.
Happy I choose this place. Actually I selected another school in Paramus. Went for 4 weeks and stopped. Distance and the instructor was not great. Totally the opposite here. Instructors are interactive with my son. Thank you.

My son has been going to Goldfish since he was about 9 months old (now almost 6 yo) and he LOVES each class. Initially it was an activity for him and his dad to do together with the benefits of being comfortable in/around the water and it has turned into such a wonderful family activity as his excitement of being confident in the water is infectious despite who is with him. We are glad to be back at Goldfish Swim School! We had been going to Goldfish in Wyckoff with our older daughter but switched to try out another popular swim school that was closer to our home. At this large swim school, it was very impersonal and my kids often had different instructors, who sometimes had an awful approach to the little ones and parents. The pool was dirty, and very little progress was being made.

At this point we decided to return to Goldfish in Wyckoff. I really wish we had just stayed there and not switched. My older daughter quickly made progress with her instructor, Hermes. He is absolutely wonderful and builds good rapport with his students. She was able to swim so much better after taking her lessons with him at swim clinic. My younger daughter is now feeling a lot more comfortable in the water thanks to Princesa! She's so patient with the little ones and goes at their pace. The lifeguards are constantly doing checks, so I feel like my little one is safe at all times, even though I'm not right there with her.

Lastly, the facilities are always clean. The pool itself is spotless and actually smells clean (sometimes pools that are not well maintained get a weird, stinky yet chlorinated smell). This pool is nothing like the other pool we went to. And the dressing rooms are clean too. Thank you Goldfish!

Both of my daughters are enrolled at Goldfish Swim School Wyckoff, and we couldn’t be happier! My now 4-year-old has been swimming here since she was 6 months old, and she can now swim the full length of the pool all by herself. The consistency and quality of the instructors have been amazing — they really know how to build confidence step by step.
My 11-month-old started at 4 months old and I already see weekly improvement. She smiles the second we walk in because she knows it’s time to swim. The 90-degree pool is always warm and inviting, the facility is spotless, and the staff truly feel like family.
What I love most is the retention of instructors — kids get familiar with the same teachers and it creates such a comfortable environment. Having been a lifeguard and swim instructor myself at a YMCA/YWCA, I can honestly say their curriculum and approach are top notch.
If you’re looking for a place that teaches water safety, builds real skills, and makes swimming fun, this is the school to choose! Highly recommend.

I have been a loyal customer of goldfish for 5 years as I enrolled my two sons through all the levels from mini 1 to Pro2. We would enrolled again this year if they hadn't make a major change to their policies which is a dealbreaker for us. When a child can not attend a class, the account is credited a token. Before the token were valid for a year, but now they are just valid for 30 days after the enrollment ends. Which means that the only way to use the tokens is to come twice a week, which is not possible as we live a bit far from Wyckoff and my kids agenda is jam packed. So for 5 years I would have rated Goldfish 5 stars, because the facility and instructors are top notch but the change in policy is bad for me, I would lose about 10 tokens per year (or 400 dollars). I wish they hadn't made that change.

When I began searching for a swim school, I compared many and I decided to take my 2 children to Goldfish in Wycoff. This location is the best swim school in the area. My kids are young (in mini 1 and mini 3) and at this age they are very clingy to me. My oldest started with Swim Instructor Mr. Matt in mini 2 and you can tell he loves what he does. My daughter then moved to the mini 3 class where the parents are not in the water with the child. My daughter went from excessively crying because the parents aren't in the water for mini 3 to LOVING her swim class and lighting when she sees her instructor Ms. Ayanna. Both of my kids take classes (mini 1 and mini 3) now with instructor Ms. Ayanna and she is beyond fabulous! The way Ayanna makes the kids feel comfortable and celebrates every little improvement really built her confidence and now she's excited every week for her class. I was amazed how quickly Ayanna really learned the personalities of every kid she works with and finds ways to connect with them. I also love the maturity of the staff and all the swim instructors. They are all helpful, respectful, and truly love working with the kids and it shows each time. Ms. Desiree is soooo helpful. She has always answered my questions from day 1. I'm a very involved parent and Ms. Desiree made sure I had all the information knowing I have 2 kids to schedule swim classes. We had our daughter enrolled in Big Blue since she was 3, thinking we were getting her a head start in learning how to swim. She seemed confident during class, always smiling and “floating”—but we didn’t realize they were always using floatation devices on her belly. We thought she was learning, but when we’d go swimming as a family, she would sink like a little submarine—she knew the motions, but couldn’t actually stay afloat.

The real wake-up call came when a family friend mentioned their daughter (same age 5) had already graduated from swim lessons and was swimming independently. That’s when we started asking more questions and got recommended to Goldfish Swim School. They told us kids swim without floatation devices and actually build real swimming skills.

We made the switch, and honestly, the difference is night and day. Our daughter is now truly swimming on her own! I’m so happy and relieved—we finally see real progress, and she’s proud of herself too.

Lesson learned: just because a program looks fun or "safe" doesn’t mean your child is really learning. Wish we had made the move sooner, but glad we found the right fit in the end!

I first brought my older daughter to Goldfish Swim school in Wyckoff when she was just 2 years old. She’s now 7 and a confident and skilled swimmer thanks to the excellent instruction she received there. We have been taking our daughter to goldfish since she was about 15months and we couldn’t be happier! She just turned 3 and over the years she developed confidence in the water, knows to hold her breath and LOVES going under. My daughter just started classes at this location. My husband and I love it. It not only gets us out of the house but the staff is very friendly and supportive. My daughter is only 7 months old, we were nervous at first but after seeing how much she enjoyed it we signed up for the membership. The swim club in Wyckoff is an excellent place for kids of all ages to learn this life saving skill. My 2 granddaughters have been attending classes for couple of years and their progress is tremendous. Classes are well organized, instructors are trained and attentive and the management is very accommodating. It is easy to reschedule or make up missed session online or via text .
My granddaughters even have their favorite person Ms Ava. She has been instructor for my younger one and had way to make her comfortable at the beginning when she was little scared . So now Ms Ava is still our go to person. Most of all girls have fun there . We love that place !!!

I have loved my experience this far at goldfish swim school! The facility is always clean and staff members very welcoming. Both my kids have been attending lessons here for over a year and we have nothing but good things to say.

I had a wonderful experience with Goldfish Swim School for my children. My daughter, Stella, was taught by Julianna and Desyree, while my son, Ravi, was under the care of Matt C. Each of these instructors brought a unique, supportive approach to teaching, and I couldn't be happier with their progress.

Matt has been especially amazing with Ravi. He focuses on building comfort in the pool, demonstrating endless patience and understanding. It's clear that Matt genuinely cares about Ravi's comfort and growth in the water. He’s been wonderful at encouraging him to push through any hesitation and develop skills at his own pace.

My daughter has progressed through 2 levels at Goldfish so far with Coach Jess and we are so thankful that we found her! The progress we have seen in my daughter makes us so proud. We started my 3 year old daughter with lessons back in November. The first instructor didn’t really engage too well with my daughter but the good thing about this establishment is they have plenty of instructors with different skill sets and attitudes so you can easily switch if you feel you need to do so. We are happy to have been with Szandra for the last few weeks. She was patient, fun, and very engaging with the kids during class. My daughter went from being afraid of going under the water to swimming independently (for like 5 feet but still!!). She’s moving on to level 2 now and we are hoping the next level will be just as fun. We will miss Szandra though! She’s great!

Our children have learned to swim at Goldfish in Wyckoff. The prices are reasonable relative to the alternatives and the facility is well maintained and always clean. Any issues we’ve had have been acknowledged, addressed and resolved quickly and courteously. Make up tokens ensure that you retain the value you’re paying for even if you can’t make a class in your schedule. Staff are good at identifying when children are ready to move to the next class level and continue learning. The good far outweighs the “bad”. My only complaints would be that: Certain days and times can be more popular/busy than others, there is not always availability to move to a new class and some classes will have a new teacher what seems like every week. Again, when and where possible our issues have always been addressed in a timely manner. For these reasons, I’d recommend Goldfish to anyone looking for swim lessons and feel 5 stars is well deserved.

We love Goldfish! All of the swim teachers are wonderful, caring, compassionate, and on task at al times. The pool and deck area are very clean and sanitary.
We also love the decor and design of the swim school. Our boys love coming to swim lessons each week. Classes during the week are a lot calmer than on a weekend, so I recommend a weekday class.
Mr. Matt is a wonderful teacher who truly cares about what he does. He is genuine, kind, and patient with all of the kids. We also love Desiree who always goes out of her way to help make sure my older son is safe and having fun on the pool deck when I’m in the pool with my younger son (on days when he doesn’t have school).

Online they say they are same temp as other kids pools but it's much cooler, which is really the only downside- baby was very cold. The teachers are excellent and really seem to care. Facilities are clean and welcoming!
