Heart and Grit yoga isn’t just a yoga studio. It’s a community. It’s a community of people of all walks of life. It’s not perfect poses. It’s messy. It’s people doing their best to show up for themselves. It’s full of Heart and Grit. Gina is my mentor. I’ve never had anyone believe in me like she does. She pushes me to be the best version of myself, even when I don’t think I can keep going. Her outlook on life is inspiring and I’m so grateful to have found her and this studio. ❤️

Heart and Grit is a locally owned studio with a great reputation. Gina is friendly and knowledgeable and backed by a great team. Classes are fun, suitable for all levels and the instruction is top notch.

I've been going to this excellent studio for about a year and would give it an another star if I could. It's a wonderfully supportive yoga and wellness community.

I joined the 30 day reset and added unlimited yoga classes for 30 days and I am so glad I did. Gina’s studio is friendly, inviting and without any yoga experience, everyone made me feel welcome. her classes are beginner friendly and well explained.

Daria, a Yoga Teacher in Training led a wonderful Mindful & Strong (Hatha) sequence. Her tone of voice was gentle, yet clear and articulate in delivering each pose. The subtle humour added levity in some of the more challenging poses. Had I not already known, I wouldn't have known Daria was a trainee.

Absolutely love the classes here! Everyone is so welcoming, it definitely eased my nerves seeing how friendly everyone was my first time in. I’ve been to several classes now and my practice has improved because the prompts to move my body make sense. Decided today that I’m going to keep coming and signed up for the monthly membership!

After many years of talking about trying yoga, I finally did! Heart and Grit is a great studio with awesome instructors and so many great classes to choose from. My only regret is not signing up sooner! If you have never tried yoga and want to learn the right way and feel great, this is the place to be!

I took my first yoga class back in February 2024. I had never really tried yoga before so I wasn’t too sure what to expect. What I found was an amazing community, incredible teachers and so much knowledge available to me and others. I quickly learned the poses, but more importantly, I learned the correct way to do them and why. I’ve become stronger, more confident and I enjoy challenging myself. Functional movements are key and the classes really focus on this. As we all get older, having balance, movement and stability are key! It’s vital to work on these skills. Come join the fun and get ready to be surprised at yourself! You’ll be happily welcomed as soon as you walk through the door!

Love my classes @ Heart & Grit with Gina.
Regardless of the mood I am in going into my yoga class, I come out feeling accomplished & in a much better “head space”.
I appreciate how Gina will guide you in poses or give you options if one doesn’t work for you.
The support I get from this studio is priceless!

The instructors always do a great job breaking down and explaining every pose with modifications so everyone can be successful. 9 months ago when I started at the studio, crow pose seemed completely unattainable for me. When this pose was in a class, I usually just did an alternate pose until recently. The past few Flow classes have broken down crow pose and, after some practice, I can now hold the pose for a second or two. This is thanks to all the great instructors at the studio!

As a yoga rookie, I have to say that the Heart & Grit team has been amazingly generous and inspiring, so much that I can't wait to get back in the studio. This is a dream spot for yoga newbies, veterans, visitors, and everyone in-between.

Today I finished my 4th class with Gina. A few things I love so far:
Gina let me know I need the right mat, here I was slipping and sliding and thinking my old mat was great. I purchased a Bmat and wow! totally a difference.
Gina explains everything we do, she also tells you why we do it.
I love her final words at the end of class.
If you are reading this and scared don't be, I'm a bigger gal, and it's been while since I've been on the mat. I do what I can and really try to stay in the moment when I am there. Thank you Gina, I look forward to my next classes! <3
What classes I have taken: Mindful & Strong, Skills Flow (loved loved this one and the playlist), and Functional Flow

I’ve been attending classes at Heart & Grit (consistently) for about three months now and I rearrange my schedule as much as possible to accommodate as many classes as I can. The classes are full of “real” people and Gina is extremely knowledgeable. As someone who has been visiting the chiropractor regularly for over six years, I can attest that I’ve not felt as good as I have these past few months with consistent weekly yoga classes!

Heart & Grit Yoga is so much more than just a place to do yoga. Gina really makes sure that her teachers know how to connect yoga with functional movement, which was a huge bonus I didn’t expect. I’ve been doing yoga on and off since 2005, but I was mainly just copying what the teacher was doing without really understanding how to use my muscles or protect my joints properly.

Gina has this amazing way of guiding you through poses so that you can get into them safely and effectively. I used to struggle with side plank and would hold my breath, just hoping I wouldn’t tip over. Once Gina showed me how to prep my body properly, I felt way more stable and could hold the pose much longer.

The studio is super welcoming and has become a great place for me to grow my practice and clear my mind. I also jumped into the Summer of Yoga program, which was a great decision. The accountability helped me keep up with my practice even when things got hectic. Plus, Gina’s one-on-one sessions were perfect for fine-tuning my poses and strengthening my weaker spots.

Overall, Heart & Grit Yoga has been a game changer for me, blending yoga with real-life movement and creating a supportive community. I'm so grateful I found the studio!

Heart and Grit Yoga is not your typical yoga studio. Gina’s immense knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics leaves me feeling safe and well supported in my practice. Allowing me to be more confident in my movements and postures and stronger in my body and self.
I took Lezlee’s class today after months of shying away from my mat due to inflammation from health issues; I was leaving yoga classes elsewhere feeling worse in my body with puffy hands and feet, fatigue, and needing to go heavy on self care afterwards. I had begun to think that yoga wasn’t for me anymore with my current health conditions. After Lezlee’s class today, I felt so relaxed and revitalized and my body felt really stable and fluid. Lezlee’s deep knowledge of somatics, yogic philosophy and practices, and anatomy combined with her ability to integrate that knowledge to guide me through my own practice is phenomenal and left me feeling better than when I came in. What a solid studio, teachers, and community! 10 out of 10 would recommend

Love the Functional Flow class, I had taken yoga a handful of times prior to joining Heart & Grit but never enjoyed it because it was too slow and yoga just bored me. Functional flow is fun and I feel like I’m actually accomplishing something. Highly recommend!

I was thrilled to be a part of Heart & Grit's one year celebration practice yesterday! Over this past year Gina and her team of instructors have fostered a culture filled with encouragement and motivation for every person in every class, regardless of experience level. With specific coaching on body positioning, I have been able to improve my practice incrementally over the year. These small changes have enabled me to move my body in ways I never imagined possible, building strength and mobility along the way!

The community within Heart & Grit is friendly and inspiring. Each person is building upon their own practice at their own pace. During that process, you will often hear classmate's voices of reassurance when trying a new or challenging pose. It is a fun environment where I feel confident and free to challenge myself in a safe and supportive surrounding.

A year ago I came to Heart & Grit stiff and injured. A year later I feel amazingly stronger and much more mobile. I am grateful Heart & Grit Yoga has come into our community.

Heart and grit yoga studio is the studio I have been looking for in this area! There are a variety of classes and teachers, each offering something different. Gina takes the traditional yoga poses and adapts them to make them functional for your everyday movement. Renita likes to take the spice level up and allows for opportunity to play with new poses. The best part of the studio is the people - everyone is very friendly and the common goal is to have fun at yoga! Check on the website or social media to find out about new student specials.

I just finished my first month with Heart & Grit Yoga and it was amazing. The studio as a whole is clean, calm and welcoming. I loved the vibe of the whole studio and their social media pages. Two things really stood out to me. 1 The diversity in the pictures posted on social media. 2. The lack of pressure to be "Perfect" in class. Alicha was a great instructor!! There were times I couldn't hold a pose and she encouraged me to use blocks and made sure I knew using blocks was not a "failure" and to keep going. There were moments where I experienced. emotional responses and instead of asking if I was okay, she handed me a tissue and said "let it out" and "its okay" I felt so vulnerable yet so safe, it truly was a great experience. The Vinyasa class was amazing. I got a fantastic workout. The music was 🔥!!! I have been going to Heart and Grit for about a month now and every class just seems to get better. Gina has great leading skills and the class is always fun and up beat!

I can't say enough good things about Heart & Grit Yoga! I signed up for the 30 day trial and after attending my first class I was instantly hooked. All of the instructors are amazing and so knowledgeable, especially Gina. She guides you in practice while teaching you the how and why behind each yoga position. I've been attending classes 3 to 4 times a week since November and I've noticed I'm becoming stronger not only physically, but mentally. Heart & Grit Yoga is place where everyone's welcome and there's no judgment!
