I just had an awesome workout. I am 2 years postpartum, and I still have diastasis recti, and I only had to mention it to Chelsea once. She helped me adapt several parts of the exercise routine. I'm also impressed with the community aspect of this gym. It's a small group of moms. We introduce ourselves at the beginning of the class and our kids are in a play area with caregivers visible through windows from the workout floor. I was welcomed in so warmly by everyone, even though I do not exercise, it's hard to when you have three kids, I felt zero shame and 100% belonging. It looks like she has drop-in rates as well as membership options. I know she also specializes in exercise during pregnancy. It's like exercise wellness for all stages of motherhood. I highly recommend you come try it. Plus your first class is free!

This gym is perfect for what I wanted as a new-idk-what-im-doing pregnant lady! Not sure if it's the pregnancy hormones or just the community, but I get teary-eyed after every class seeing how kind everyone is. The instructors and other women are so nice and inviting, giving so much advice to this new to-be mom. And I love that people bring their kids to classes! You can choose between chaotic and calm classes, and both are so so nice. Extremely glad I found this place!

Herself maternal wellness and fitness is amazing! I can not say enough good things about the place and the owner Chelsea.

There are so many great features and services unique to this facility. After becoming a mom. Not only did I lose my confidence in working out, but the hectic schedule of attending to mom duties and child care made it nearly impossible. Chelsea and her amazing staff provide child Care services where I can bring my daughter and have her safely engaged and entertained while I focus on myself. Even better, Chelsea provides safe and effective workouts that has helped me regain my strength and confidence in working out as I navigate my new role of motherhood. I leave every class feeling a little bit stronger, clearer-minded and empowered.

From focusing on my pelvic floor, to lower back pain workshops, to strength, building and inclusive mommy and me classes, this place fits all of my needs.

"Chelsea's house" as my 1.5 year old daughter calls it has quickly become the highlight of both our days.

I cannot speak highly enough about Coach Chelsea and her team at Herself. I’ve been a part of this community for about 6 months and I genuinely regret not committing sooner postpartum. The childcare room attached has given me the opportunity to take care of myself physically, mentally, and emotionally while my kiddos have a blast playing. I have been a member of a handful of gyms over the years but I cannot stress enough Herself is more than a gym. It truly is a community of moms and moms to be supporting each other through this journey of both parenting and fitness.

Herself Well & Fit is seriously the best thing I’ve done for myself as a mom. It’s a small, super supportive studio where I can work out with my kids around, whether they’re in the baby room or playing next to me. Coach Chelsea is amazing and really knows how to support postpartum bodies. The childcare team is incredible, and the other moms here make it feel like a little village. It’s not just about fitness it’s about feeling seen, strong, and supported. Love it here!

I can’t recommend this gym enough! Chelsea is incredibly knowledgeable about prenatal and postpartum fitness, and really takes the time to create a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all. I started taking classes here when I was in my second trimester and am still loving it 6 months post partum! I’m seeing strength gains quicker than I ever had at more traditional gyms and I attribute that to the small/medium class sizes. You benefit from the community of a group fitness structure while getting similar feedback and instruction as you would from a one on one trainer. Another bonus is the on-site child care! Being able to bring my baby with me has made it so much easier to squeeze in some extra gym time!

Coach Chelsea has created a welcoming space for women and mothers. This is a wonderful community for fitness lovers and beginners. The classes focus on maternal health both prenatal and postpartum. The childcare staff are wonderful as well ❤️

I don't write reviews often, but this place is awesome. I highly recommend for both prenatal and postpartum. Before having my baby, it was really nice to be able to work out and know I was doing exercises that were safe. I definitely think it helped me with labor and delivery. The postpartum classes are likewise great in helping to get back to my pre-pregnancy self. Classes are fun and the good kind of challenging. Herself also has a great vibe and sense of community. Recommend 💯

My wife has been going here for a little while and loves it. When we had a local "friends" birthday party for our 1-year-old, she wanted to do it here. We did so and had some food catered from BORO nearby. The whole event was spectacular! The space was amazing, with a separate area for all the kiddos with full floor-to-ceiling windows so even when hanging outside of that space, you could easily see in. And my wife's community who attended were so warm and welcoming it felt like a family event. If you are considering involving yourself with any of this place's offerings, you cannot go wrong here. Herself Wellness & Fitness is a community cornerstone.

I’m so happy to have found this gym and Chelsea during my recent pregnancy! Chelsea is insanely knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming! I started her workout classes in my first trimester and continued throughout my pregnancy, followed that with her pelvic floor series immediately postpartum, and then started her postpartum fitness classes once I was cleared to exercise. My daughter is now 2 years old and I still get so much from Chelsea’s classes. She has so much knowledge in her field and so much awareness and understanding of the moms she works with — I knew my body and my baby were safe from day one and since then in every class I’ve taken. Not only is every workout well thought out for mom and baby, but she also kicks your butt in the best way possible. She absolutely preps your body for all the changes that come with pregnancy, labor, postpartum recovery including after a c-section, and motherhood. Chelsea knows exactly when to push you and when to give modifications, and she does it all while making you feel like you are exactly where you are supposed to be in that moment.

Chelsea is the absolute best! This was my second pregnancy and I was looking to get my body moving more in preparation for labor. Chelsea’s prenatal workouts target muscles you would use for labor and delivery, she helps stretch and strengthen any aches and pains from pregnancy, AND helps to teach you about your pelvic floor along the way! There was a huge difference for me between my first and second pregnancy and labor/ delivery, and I have Chelsea to thank for that!

Chelsea also creates a safe space for moms. She gets to know each mom in her classes individually, and builds a really nice community of women who are in a similar part of their lives as you! I can’t wait to continue with Chelsea’s pelvic floor and postpartum clases once I’m cleared again for exercise!

I started going to Chelsea’s classes because the OBGYN said that if I went once she could help me with understand what exercises to do and not do while pregnant. I went once and never stopped going! Chelsea coached me through an active pregnancy, supporting me to workout 6 days a week until 5 days before my baby was born. Less than a week postpartum I started doing her core activation classes and right upon being cleared to work out at 6 weeks postpartum my baby and I were back to Chelsea’s mommy and me classes! Not only has Chelsea guided and supported me to stay strong and active through pregnancy and after, but I formed such a great community! Everyone in prenatal class had their baby within 2 months of mine and now we all come workout with our babies. I hated group classes before working with Chelsea, but she is the perfect mix of upbeat and real that creates a great vibe for working out and a welcoming space to form a community.

I’m someone who decides to go to an exercise class based on the instructor and let me tell you Chelsea is the reason why I go to this class. She is so welcoming and I am so thankful to her for introducing me to a wonderful group of ladies who I have had the pleasure of transitioning from prenatal Exercise Class to Postpartum Exercise classes with. Chelsea is so knowledgeable and taught me everything I know about pelvic health and how our bodies need support throughout the journey of pregnancy and postpartum. There isn’t a class or a studio like Chelsea‘s anywhere; this is the only class that I’ve found that has truly been focused on our pre and postpartum bodies and helping them through this journey. I truly look forward to Chelsea’s classes whenever im able to attend them. I highly highly recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a way to stay fit and healthy throughout their pregnancy journey or at any point in their postpartum journey.
