Started to come here after moving to the area. Such a great gym. Clean, full of new equipment, and a great dumbbell area. Great for advanced powerlifters/body builders or just the average joe beginner. Staff is great and they respond to emails really quickly which was a huge plus for me. Good customer service usually translates to the quality of a gym and they both get a A+ for sure!

Just signed up last week and love this gym. Great for all types of lifters, especially bodybuilders and powerlifters. Don't let that fool you, very welcoming vibe and great equipment for all to enjoy.

I absolutely LOVE they charge a re-rack fee - I've never seen this, but it works - all of the weights are where they're supposed to be.

I also think the pricing is very reasonable for ALL of the equipment options available here. Definitely recommend.

Tried a day pass and the entry pin they gave me didn't work. Members couldn't/wouldn't let me in because they could be fined. Ultimately had to call customer service, who couldn't remotely open the door successfully, and had customer service verbally approve a member letting me enter. Also had to sign up for a day pass in the parking lot on my phone because the gym has very limited staffed hours. Wasted a out 30 minutes just trying to get inside.

Multiple machines I tried had loose handles and needed some TLC. Wipes for machines are only in a couple locations, which is kind of annoying. Can't picture myself paying more than $20/m for a place like this and they ask for $60 month to month.

My favorite are the old nautilus and hammer strength pieces. The equipment is heavy duty and it'll be a while before I max out on any of the plate loaded pieces. Its rare now a days that a gym has older pieces around. Showers and bathrooms work. I wish soap and shampoo were provided but, hey, it is what it is. The main attraction are the equipment. The gym definitely strikes a balance between powerlifters and bodybuilders. Most of my training are on weight stack machines, so I am satisfied with what I'm going for.
Overall, I'm happy with the facility and will be coming back again. Thank you.

Worst gym I’ve ever been to! I felt mistreated, discriminated and racially profiled by their staff. Unacceptable and no one in this time and age should ever have to go through the heartache that I’ve been through whether it’s due to national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation or race and ethnicity. I can’t recommend this gym at all. It’s way too small and cramped, and the staff is just plain rude and unwelcoming. There’s not a great variety of machines, so you end up waiting around, even though they do have a lot of barbells. The sauna is decent, and the posing room is whatever. Honestly, between the rude staff and the cramped space, it’s just not worth the price.

I would never recommend this gym to anyone. When I arrived, the door was locked and I had to yell through the glass to get the staff member's attention. Once inside, I mentioned wanting to sign up and that my employer plan, which they advertise as accepted, offers a free guest pass. The employee was very rude as he said a loud 'no' multiple times, even when I showed him the details. He dismissively told me to tour the gym on my own, and he kept staring at me the entire time, which was very off-putting. The gym is also very tiny and cramped in itself. Does not have a large variety and you’ll be waiting for a machine no doubt! Never come here. This gym isn't what anyone is looking for with a staff like that behaving so indecently. Do not waste your time or money.

Been here a couple of times and was not disappointed. I love the mix of old fashioned and newer equipment. And now they made this place 24 hours which is huge for people who work late shifts and don't have the time to workout during the day. The only complaint I have is that this place is very small so it could get extremely crowded around 5-6pm otherwise this gym is pretty solid.

I just joined this gym and its absolutely incredible. They have 24 hour access. Other reviewers have wrote that they were charged fees for not re-racking weights; this is a policy that makes me want to go to the gym. You'll never spend 15 minutes looking for weights like you would at any of the other big box gyms.

Visited first time to get a good look at the gym, I always pass by on the way to work. Went inside and asked the woman at the desk for a tour, said I could just walk round and it was $25 for a day pass, went to use the bathroom after deciding I want to try it out. Realized I didn’t have my wallet and let her know I’ll be back with it. Woman then accuses me of just coming in to use the bathroom… said it doesn’t make sense and to get out… Definitely did not “just come in to use the bathroom” but to get a feel for potential new home/gym. Not happy, will not come back or recommend to my friends and family. Felt like I was racially profiled by staff. Thank you but I’ll stick to Crunch Fitness.

Just moved in the area and requested a tour of the gym to see what type of equipment they are working with for me and my partner on purchasing two memberships to see if it’s worth us signing up. Staff stated there is no day trial or tour. Either you pay a fee or you leave. First experience with being told this by any gym. Wish I could’ve shared a better experience.

Everyone here knows gym etiquette. I’m very Happy I left LA FITNESS IM NEVER GOING BACK!!! Now let me tell you about my Trainer Joe/Xzavier man he makes you work for what you want he motivates you and pushes you beyond limits you didn’t know. He also set me up with an eating schedule and a meal plan so that I can achieve goals. He is very knowledgeable in all he does especially with people like me with previous injuries. Will never join this gym! The man at the front desk today 3/4/2024 was RUDE! My husband inquired about the gym and the man at the desk acted as if he was bothering him. Honestly, one of my favorite gyms so far. If you’re serious into fitness they have great equipment and everything you need. Clean and well maintained. Love that they have a sauna because it’s essential. Parking was a big plus when choosing this gym. Sometimes when the gym is packed it takes time just having to park. They also have trainers who work there. Xavier in particular if you’re looking into getting started or you need someone to help get you to your goals, he’s badass!!

Jersey Barbell is my home away from home! It is the perfect gym to make gains in the gym! There is a ton of machines that you cant find anywhere else, a powerlifting area with a ton of barbell options, and they even have the sweet Captain America kg dumbbells! The atmosphere inside the gym is one like I have never experienced. As an early morning gym person, the interactions with fellow members is always polite, fun, and most importantly positive. Denny and Deanna are the nicest people around and are super informative on workouts, proper technique, and even give really good nutritional advice. Another bonus to the gym is having an easily and readily available supply of Pro Dough Cookies! Sam Sulek would approve of this gym, as do I!

Got a day pass here on my last visit to NYC and I was blown away — better than any commercial gym I’ve ever been to! All the machines you could ever need, such clean locker rooms (they have hair dryers too), incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and it has the CUTEST America theme (plus amazing holiday decor - it was Halloween when I went!). Good Gym for Strength with lots of equipment. My big complaint is that they do not provide or even allow chalk. They do allow and sell liquid chalk, but for a BARBELL gym it was a bit deterring to me and possibly for other serious lifters as well. General pop probably doesn't care though, and its a great facility otherwise.

Came today for a day pass. Easy parking and a great facility with a few notable characteristics. Solid combination of powerlifting and bodybuilding equipment, with cardio and turf area. Combo racks, monolift, platforms, specialty barbells in one area. Hand-picked bodybuilding equipment with mix of old-school (think Nautilus plate loaded seated chest press) as well as newer equipment and heavy enough dumbbells for the pros. There is also a posing room and sauna. Owners were friendly to chat with at the front and facility is clean with attention to detail on gym design. Well done all around.

Immediately signed up after seeing the facility. Coming from a regular commercial gym, this place is a dream. Everything is brand new, they have proper iron and KG plates for powerlifting, plenty of squat racks, platforms to deadlift, benches, tons of different types of bars, 160 pound dumbbells, posing room, sauna. It’s all clean, the weights are all racked. One review complained about an age restriction - good, coming from Crunch gym filled with high schoolers destroying quirky and leaving weights everywhere, I’m glad there is an age requirement. The price is also fantastic for the equipment they have, gyms like this are easily over $100/month. This place is a breathe of fresh air, and I’ll be here regularly to train. Can’t recommend this place enough for anyone who’s seriously into bodybuilding and powerlifting.

Went here on a Sunday morning with my friend Nick. Obviously it's clean, because everything is new, but still a refreshing atmosphere. Found every machine I wanted to use including a really great shoulder press machine I never tried before. Bought some protein rich cookies that were really great. Not super crowded and did not see anything I could complain about! Even better is that I was told the gym has the potential to get bigger if need be.
