Absolutely disappointed with this company took a break for physical therapy... ok with the $10 charge. But then it went off the hold ....with out an update or a call almost 200 down the drain since no one even bothered to call or update.... Last month didn't even see the charge.. no one even bothered to call to see if I wanted to train. i doubt I'll be going back if they don't make this right

I Had a bad experience from start to finish.
I waited a half hour for the initial appointment to see the gym because the sales person was late. Then after I signed up, I was told all classes were included in membership, but certain classes were not.
I was charged the annual fee which was supposed to be charged at month two within the first week.
Within 14 days I decided to cancel and was told I would get my money back. That was back in August and Im still waiting for my refund.

The actual gym is fine but their morals are where my issues lie. There is absolutely no way to contact them, via phone, email, etc. I asked an employee to have their manager contact me over 3 weeks ago, and the manager never reached out. Their app has false advertising, saying as a member you can give someone a free trial for 10 days. I brought my boyfriend as he was looking to switch over from Planet Fitness but wanted to try it out first. The front desk employees were rude, said it could not be honored because it was a “scam post” (on their personal jersey strong app, not facebook, google, or any social media) and that he was “lucky they weren’t charging him $10 for one day” when he was supposed to get 10 days for $0. Now I cancelled my membership and will be joining him at Planet Fitness! Start honoring your word Jersey Strong, you just lost a current member and a future member.

Gym is really good but the management is fraud you can join club online on app without visiting club but cannot cancel it online using same app 🤣 even calling at club won't work neither their customer care can cancel it you need to call 3rd party I moved to another state last time I was told they started cancelation process I just need to reply to mail " cancel my membership " 🤣 since last 3 months they are just charging me 2 days back I got charged again

Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to stop our membership. I called the customer service explained that I needed to put my membership on hold. The rep offered a date and I told them I’m not sure we would be ready to resume by then. Apparently, you can have longer than 3 months but the reps don’t tell you that. Our account was taken off hold and we weren’t able to resume active membership so April we cancelled our account and personal trainer and received my cancellation confirmation. On April 25th we paid our buyout cancellations of over $100 each. In May we were charged another monthly fee. The gym sends you to ABC fitness customer serve then ABC fitness sends me back to Jersey Strong. There is no one for you to talk to and it’s an email game of back and forth and trying to get help for a mistake they made. Now Memorial weekend they charged our account again $2.19. This has been the most unprofessional experience, to not have a person to talk to and the only place they refer their customers to is ABC fitness and to be told by the customer service rep they don’t handle this put in a ticket to Jersey Strong but their the problem. I gave this gym a 2 for the trainer but billing and professional correspondence is unprofessional. I don’t have time for playing email tag, I want to speak with a person about my refund. I will never be a member at a gym that does put the concerns of their members first because billing issues is a big concern.

5/13/25 It smells like urine as soon as you walk in. Its hotttt even with the fans on. Bathrooms are clean but not the floor or the equipment.
This is all new. I've been going for years and it's never been like this. Very disappointed and looking to leave.

DO NOT GO HERE. 0 stars. In January I started a new job in the area so I figured I'd check it out. It is ok, place seems slightly dirty and unkept but for $20 monthly it worked for me. This past month things have drastically changed and upon trying to cancel, not only was met with the "annual fee" a month after joining, but call after call after call its like there is no way to get a hold of their "customer support" or gym staff themselves. There was ZERO mention of a $100 cancellation fee during my initial meeting, and they did not care at all that I have been trying to reach out since 3 weeks ago to avoid any unnecessary charges. Having to pay almost $200 to cancel a gym membership makes me sick. The contract makes it so there's nothing you can do about it. The management of this place is actually terrible. They take advantage of you, state things in the contract that they do not mention upon joining which they should, there is hardly ever anyone at the front desk, one water fountain in the whole gym, the list goes on. Complete highway robbery. Take your money and go to any other gym in the area, trust me.

I love Jersey Strong. There’s only one thing that’s not good. There are some things such as the rope and other articles that are not in abundant supply. To do tricep’s there’s only one rope. To do extensions for triceps there’s not enough pieces to do that

This gym is an absolute nightmare. The staff offers zero customer service and dodges any responsibility. Cancelling or downgrading your membership is Hell ..they’ll keep draining your account for months, ignoring emails and support tickets. They even charge $100 to downgrade unless you rope someone else into joining this circus. Management is nowhere to be found, and their system is designed to frustrate. Save yourself the headache and find a gym that actually respects its members. Avoid at all costs! Aside from customer service the actual gym itself is decent.

The gym is pretty nice, relatively clean for a gym. They vacuum everyday and the staff are nice. I wish they had more dumbbells- for example they don’t have anything in between five pound increments. My old gym would have 7.5, 17.5 lb eccetera. Also, they don’t have a hip thrusting machine which just about every woman I’ve talked to here wants.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jersey Strong in Robbinsville’s Yoga Instructor Ed Parma gets a 6 out of a 5 star review! Ed’s classes accommodate beginning as well as advanced students. His classes include Yoga Sculpting as well as Restorative Yoga with singing bowls, essential oils, and stars projected on the ceiling. Ed takes his own practice of yoga seriously, and continuously adds what he has learned to our group practices. I have taken yoga at studios, and they can’t match the leadership and passion of Ed Parma! Namaste 🙏

The place is just ok...I like it because it is less crowded than P.F., but I just signed up and right from the get go the sales person was giving me a hard time because I did not sign up when I had taken a tour 2 days prior. The woman quoted 19.99/month which is a promotion going on to the end of April, but this horrible salesman was being argumentative with me right from the moment I walked into his office. I did get that price in the end, but shouldn't have been treated that way.

Zumba classes at Jersey Strong (Robbinsville) led by Tanya Tomao, Tracy MacDonald & Jodi Mindnich are my favorite classes in Jersey Strong. In fact I only go to these 3 instructors' classes and nothing else. For me, it's more than exercise, the 3 Zumba instructors have created a fun and safe place for Zumba lovers to bond together, we are like a big Zumba family. Tanya, Jodi, and Tracy are the best Zumba instructors! Their energy lights up the room and gives me the motivation I need to keep moving during Zumba. I’ve loved Zumba since I was a teenager. I had not attended since I was 19ish. At 35 with three kids I’m back. started Sunday and haven’t missed a class yet I enjoy it so much. It makes me happy. There is no pressure in these instructors classes, their choice of music and energy along with the class is just motivational 💯. This has become my happy place to become the healthiest mom I can be.Thanks ladies!

I can't say enough about Jodi Mindnich, one of the Zumba instructors, as she brings incredible energy to each Zumba class. Her dedication to teaching is nothing short of inspiring. Not only does she introduce us to exciting new dances and moves, but she also knows how to challenge us in the most fun way, keeping things fresh and dynamic. This place simply isn’t worth your money. They advertise all sorts of free trials and promotions, but when you get there it’s a tour of the gym and straight into the office where they pressure you to sign up. My sales person didn’t really pressure me as much as I’ve heard other people be pressured. However, the personal trainers always will. They will go as far as to say that they’re signing you up for something and you can cancel any time in which case you have to step in and say no don’t sign me up for that. The membership is just about the same price as any other gym in the area, except the difference is I don’t know where Jersey Strong puts your money. The equipment selection is just okay, with a lot of the benches tearing. It is very apparent that the gym is not cleaned or maintained often. Machines are never replaced, and nothing new is ever added. There’s all sorts of conditions when joining. One is that if you walk out the first day that you look at the gym to think about signing up, they will no longer waive the sign-up fee if you come back. There is also a $100 fee if you cancel your membership before two years, which you will because you will get sick of this place very fast. Some of the staff is nice but others are very pushy. The only thing that this place has going for it is 24/7 access which realistically, I think most people do not use enough to make the membership worth it. Sign up for Planet Fitness and save your money.

UPDATED: if you put your health first then do not go here. I’m not usually one to write a bad review but for hygienic reasons, I feel this is necessary. The “women’s room” upstairs has been in a very sad state since I joined a year ago. To begin, the highest weight dumbbell is 27.5 pounds and there are never 2 matching ones. If they do match, it’s always a low weight like 15-20 lbs. There are so many mismatched dumbbells it’s not even worth looking for a matching one at this point or dragging one from downstairs to the upstairs area. As far as cleanliness, I can tell it’s not cleaned. I came in at night on a Monday and noticed a bright blue hair tie that has a clump of hair attached to it, on the floor in plain view near the treadmills. I come back on Friday and that same hair tie is still there in the middle of the floor. It’s hard to miss and the fact that 4 days later it’s still there is a problem. It says that no one vacuums or mops up here. The clock has been broken for about a month now. There is dust collecting on the very out dated gym equipment as well. As far as the woman’s locker room, so far out of the four showers I’ve tried, only 2 have decent water pressure. There are a few that have such low pressure it’s impossible to use. I came in on April 18th and after my workout was going to shower in the stall that is the second to last on the right hand side (best water pressure). I noticed there was this white thing wrapped in hair stuck in the drain. I come back today, April 21st and it’s still there! I had to take a picture and include it because I can’t believe even the showers aren’t cleaned. That’s a minimum of 4 days that no one touched the shower to clean it. There are always gum wrappers hidden in the bathroom stalls in weird spots. Someone spilled some kind of liquid in locker 38 a few days ago and that also hasn’t been cleaned either! I can’t justify paying 40+ dollars a month when that money is very obviously not going towards the building upkeep. I keep coming to this location because it’s close to home, hoping that things will get better but it’s only getting worse. If basic things aren’t getting thrown out, that means no mopping or disinfecting is done. Why is it okay to risk people’s health? I want to cancel my membership but it says I’ll have to pay a $100 fee. At this point I’m just risking getting a skin infection or worse coming here.
Today is April 30th and I provided an updated picture that the drain is STILL NOT CLEANED and neither is the locker. Management won’t let me quit without the $100 fee and I’ve been going back and forth with them. Go to any other gym at this point. Even private gyms are the same price as here at this point and I’d rather pay maybe another $10 just to have the piece of mind that they sweep and mop at a minimum. You won’t get that here.

I've been going back and forth with myself on writing this review, but because I wouldn't want anyone else to experience what I've gone through with this gym I decided to give my review. Back story I've been an on and off member of this location for years and every single time I rejoin in hopes that things changed I'm hit with the reality that they have not and instantly regret it. I rejoined this time 2/24 because of the 24hr access seemed convenient with my work schedule. The gym was always overpriced in my opinion but I figured I was paying for convivence at this point. I was encouraged to get a "Body consultation" done (just a scale that tells your weight and body composition). I usually turn those down because in the end they always pressure you into buying something. Against my better judgement I went in for the assessment was bullied into signing up for personal training, I brought into in under the pretense that I would be able to CANCEL ANYTIME!!! Well that wasn't true at all I've been attempting to cancel since the end of March. I haven't utilized the training since Mid March and was often canceling the sessions due to my work schedule, I noticed on the days that I would cancel I would get a email saying "You've completed your session" It seemed to me that canceling with the trainer was pointless because he obviously never removed me from his schedule that would often throw my mood off, because I felt that he was getting credit for something that he didn't do. Speaking of the training sessions its 2-30min sessions a week. Day 1 I was about 5 mins late due to traffic when I arrived the trainer already had his coat on to go home he was in one of the group rooms and wouldn't even acknowledge my presence understandably I was late but acknowledgement would've went a long way nevertheless I received the "Session completed email" although I never even had the session I should've canceled then but took accountability because I was late. Second session I was on time walked in the trainer appeared to be finishing up with another client or so I thought. He literally overbooked he was training 2 people at once and was obvious more focused on the Man he was working with so my second session was literally me being put on a machine to go at it alone no encouragement, support, nothing he would go back and forth but out of a 30min session I got maybe 10 good mins of his time if I'm being honest. I honestly should've canceled then but I was being nice giving it the benefit of doubt because I so wanted this time to be different with this place. I was consistently only receiving a good 15 mins of work out the other 15 was filled with a lot of fluff looking for what's next like the workouts were never planned in advance, there was no push, or motivation I was paying to work out with my unmotivated friend is what it felt like, to a point where I had to start wearing headphones with motivational podcast during the sessions to help me get threw the workouts. After given it a few chances hoping it would've gotten better it never did. Now I try to cancel due to my work schedule and only being able to work out during "unstaffed" hours, and also because I was unhappy with the service. I'm being told that I cannot cancel for a year, there is no way you could hold someone captive to a service they aren't even using. It was NEVER explained that I was stuck in something like that or else I would've never signed up for it. Everything in life is cancelable even at a price but these people refuse to listen to reason. So for your own good DO NOT INVEST YOUR TIME OR MONEY INTO THIS PLACE!! THEY ARE HORRIBLE WHEN IT COMES TO YOU THE CONSUMER.. THEY HONESTLY DON'T CARE!!!! THIS GOT 1 STAR ONLY BECUSE I HAD TO GIVE SOMETHING SO I GUESS THE STAR IS FOR THE 24HR ACCESS.

Just recently became a member of this gym & already love the atmosphere, the equipment and energy from it. I really enjoy the fact that it’s open 24hrs for those that have chaotic schedules and usually most of the times at night, the gym is practically empty which is great for your gains! Overall would recommend this place to friends & family.

My only gripe is their very aggressive sales tactics. my friend brought me as a guest to try out the gym, but I was taken into a room with a manager and pressured into signing a contract. I was probably going to sign up anyways but I kind if wish I did it at my local branch.

The gym itself seems great, but after the interaction I had the first 10 mins of being there, it’s a no from me. My appointment with Hiraldo? who I believe is the assistant manager or in some sort of management position turned out to be the most uncomfortable, unprofessional experience. He was very friendly and welcoming at first, brought me back into his office to discuss plan options with me. I was not eligible for the 21 day pass I initially came in for, so we discussed a $0 down option with what he presented as a special coupon provided by Hiraldo himself that knocked $200 off the initial fee. I asked him about how guest passes worked since that is a huge deciding factor for me, he said that there were 30 day trials for friends, the 21 day pass, etc but no option to have a guest every day like my current gym (planet fitness) provides. I told him I would have to talk to my boyfriend about these options and get back to him since I bring him to my gym as a guest several days a week, and that I would come back later that day if I decided to sign up. He immediately got annoyed and told me that if I leave the gym and come back the $0 offer will no longer be on the table. He said I’ll give you some privacy to call your boyfriend… I felt a bit pressured and uncomfortable at this point but he left the office, stood by a machine directly behind it with the door open and watched me make my call. I told him again that I’m going to think about it and come back later on in the day if I decide to move forward and he got hostile, telling me again that I wouldn’t be getting the $0 down once I walk out the door. Overall felt very pressured and uncomfy, and wouldn’t go back solely due to Hiraldo and his terrible sales tactics.

not worth it.......
I went for a tour of this gym at 3:00 pm on 3/11/2023. the sole purpose of my visit was to check out the gym since i was in the area and to inquire of the prices. the gym is spacious and has a lot of equipment. i was looking forward to trying the gym out with the 21 day trial pass which is FALSELY ADVERTISED. once i went in, staff said i could only do a 3 day trial because i did a walk in instead of applying online for a 2 week trial.
i was greeted by geraldo at the front desk and he was friendly at first. i state my reason for being there. im looking to switching gyms and want a tour of this one. everything was fine until he brought me to the office. there was a random $17.50 processing fee on the second month of having the membership and the enrollment fees were a little too high for my liking, however the gym wasnt off the table for me.
i must say, geraldo has THE WORST SALES TACTIC AND CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. i am not the type of person to write reviews but this needs to be said. i remained calm the whole time but i was LIVID. i attempted to leave when geraldo asks "whats more important? the thai food youre about to pick up or your goals?" after i told him i was in the area to pick up food. there was a paper with the gym pricing info on it and he pulls it towards him and says "maybe youre not ready to commit to your goals" WHO IS THIS DUDE TO BE MAKING COMMENTS LIKE THIS IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. i mention that im a nursing student and that I work out 3x a week. he mentions THREE TIMES THAT THIS GYM MAY BE NOT THE RIGHT FIT FOR ME. WHO SAYS THAT TO SOMEONE? whether you work out 3x a week or 6x... it doesnt matter. you are a paying customer anyway. such a horrible experience that i will share with everyone. the attitude from staff is very TOXIC AND NOT FOR EVERYONE especially since he mentioned that the gym is for "everyone" clearly, that's a lie. he said that there are nurses that go to the gym after a 48 hour shift. HIS WORDS. overall, he was rude and was very passive aggressive until he was just aggressive. -100000/10 rating for him.

I was going to give them 4 stars but I gotta give them 5 they legit have every single piece of equipment and machine you could ask for. Huge weights floor, never really too crowded, and open 24/7. The price is what it is it’s around 55 a month but in my opinion for all of the weights and machines they offer and also the whole upper floor of studio/ classes rooms and cardio machines, it is worth it.

(I wish I read the google reviews about the personal trainer agreements before I signed up!)
I signed up for the personal trainer 12/13/22 and according to my receipt the employee that signed me up was Kevin Murphy. I was told there is no contract, it’s “month to month” and I can cancel at anytime there is no penalty. I always ask and am very clear when I sign up for a service. I thought I would be given a plan of what I should be doing throughout the week which included the amount of weight I should use on each machine and the amount of repetitions, I wasn’t given that. However, I thought I would just give the process some time since the trainer seemed like a decent person, but I found it wasn’t for me. So I decided to cancel. This is now my fourth attempt to try and cancel my personal trainer membership. I have tried twice previously via the support tool and I have sent in a certified letter (it was returned, undeliverable) I also called to speak to a manager 2/28/23 and I was told I would receive a call back. The representative advised I try the support link online again and they will still have the location manager call me. The last time I worked out with my trainer was 1/4/23 & the last time I spoke to my trainer was 1/18/23 to let him know I would like later sessions the following week. I was not contacted or scheduled again after that day. I mailed in a certified letter to cancel my personal trainer. However, I am still being charged to my credit card. I would like Jersey Strong and ABC financial to stop charging my credit card for personal training sessions and cancel my personal training membership NOT my gym membership effective immediately. I was charged 2/13/23 and I didn’t use the service and I wasn’t even contacted by a trainer the month of February at all. I think the gym itself is good and I LOVE the group classes but I am so DISAPPOINTED with the lack of transparency from the organization and the blatant lying about there membership agreement to make a couple of bucks. THEY ARE TRYING TO CHARGE THE REMAINING $2,000 of the agreement even though I was told there was no contract. How do you expect me to pay for services that have not been rendered? I am also still waiting on the call from a manger.

I am one of the ORIGINGAL 100 FOUNDING MEMBERS and have paid EVERY MONTH, since you opened in ROBBINSVILLE, all I am asking in my 10 past emails is that someone reach out to me and rectify my issues. I am happy to change the review to 5 if someone would just reach out to me to solve this issues. I've mailed Nick multiple times. I would really hope you would show more care with a member who has been faithfully paying you for almost a decade. I can't even sign up for any trainer sessions until I get this resolved.

Nice gym but the contact you sign is designed to screw you over. Their company that handles the billing is a nightmare, ask for service at the gym, they tell you to call the billing co., the billing co. tells you to speak to the gym... Once you are frustrated and give up they will be demanding a huge exit fee to quit their gym. If you decide to join their Gym RECORD THE SALES PERSON, I suspect they are getting a commission and like me they will tell you any lie to get you to sign, and don't sign the agreement at the gym, take it home and read EVERY word in the fine print!!!

They do not tell you when your personal training deal is up, so if you go over by just a day they charge you. There is no where to check that information unless the year prior you write it down, its not online, its not in the system when you check in, and your personal trainer wont tell you. And when you ask the front desk why there was no type of notification they say its your responsibility although its impossible to find that info. I got a snarky response of "well you signed the contract, so you kind of have to deal with it if its in there"

This review is long over due! Denise Gulotta is one of the very best Power instructors I have had the pleasure of attending her classes. She is strong, friendly, and fun! She makes the time fly by in her classes, yet follows close attention that her students use proper form and technic. The gym facility is still nice but everything else SUCKS!!!
When I joined, I was told that I can cancel within 15 days of my billing date. I even asked about cancelation fees and was told there are none by the sales associate. I was also told that I can call up and they would cancel my membership. WHAT A LIE!
My billing date is the 1st of every month and I called on the 15th, so it was the last day. When I tried to call and cancel, I was told that I need to go online to myiclubonline website and do it there. Still no mention of cancelation fees.
When I went to the website it says $100.00 fee to cancel.
I was truly upset and wrote to the customer service email address.
Of course, they said that I had to pay and that it was in the contract. The contract, which is not emailed to the new member (only the agreement is, which doesn't mention the fee). The contract is on the website, which unless you are told about it, would never know.
I'm so disappointed and sad that they take advantage of trusting people by not providing proper information.
Finally after a few emails back over a couple of days, and me being very angry, I wrote and said to take the $100.00 and cancel.
The CS associate says I need to go online and do it. So I go online and now I have to pay for the next month + cancelation fees.
What a crock!!! Horrible, horrible company. BEWARE of them, they SUCK big time

Older Review: It’s big and open. They also have group training rooms upstairs and a woman’s only workout room as well for those ladies who like to have privacy. The staff are nice and friendly. I’ve just started going and am very happy.

I canceled my membership several months ago but want to leave a review to warn others. Terrible gym system; horrible and nasty attitude from this gym's top management. The hostile attitude from the lazy trainer if you pay extra monthly to do nutrition training using the app. It caused a lot of stress when trying to cancel my membership to the point we had to file a dispute with our bank, who confirmed they have this issue with this gym often—lots of drama, unprofessional attitudes, and hateful speech. Choose another gym.

I wish that I had read the comments before joining this gym. Jersey Strong employs many predatory tactics. I was lied to about the cancellation process by the staff and bounced back and forth between them and their billing company. I know believe I might have been lied to by a general manager about how long I had to request a refund. I also initially came into the gym wanting to only do the advertised 21 day free trial, but when I arrived an associate informed me I could only do the trial if I signed up for a yearly membership. I was also told that if I didn’t sign up in that moment I would have to pay $100 enrollment fee later. I am incredibly disappointed with my experience with this gym and won’t be coming back or recommending it to anyone.

Be aware before joining, they make it impossible to cancel and you wont be able to get in touch with anyone to cancel. This is something I can no longer financiall afford, but I am stuck paying every month because nobody is able to help me cancel my account. I have tried cancelling it on 2 seperate occassions, and I am not sure what to do at this point. Dont join here, youre better off going to planet fitness where it takes 3 minutes to cancel.

I am having billing issues with Jersey Strong, and I keep getting bounced between ABC and local gym. I opened a support ticket with back-office to try and resolve issue. In the meantime, they suspended my membership but continue to charge me. I opened a second ticket and Jersey Strong refuses to talk to me. I just paid all the overcharges just so I could cancel without any credit issues. Horrible customer service.

I was really excited to join this gym but honestly left disappointed. The gym is huge and has a lot but it’s soooo outdated. Everything in the gym looks worn out and old. The most disappointing part is the females only part of the gym which literally has machines that are rusting, theyre so old. They seemed to have put all of the old machines from decades ago in that room. All of the weights were thrown around every where in this room, didn’t look very clean. I would totally come back if they renovated. A local Crunch Fitness seems like a much better option. The staff there was very nice but there’s much better cleaner, more renovated gyms that don’t have rusting machines in the area.

Always helping me, giving me great workout plans and tips. I’m down 20+ pounds since joining the gym, and it’s easy to track progress with the body scans they offer.

If you work long hours and have a busy schedule. Read the hours. The gym itself seems nice, but what they spent on the looks of the gym they sure saved on the actual weights. The knurling on the bars are all smooth. They have no 35 pound plates. If you’re lifting heavy, good luck finding plates around the gym. As the gym seems to be for more of your everyday lifter. Just traveling and signed up for the gym short term. Used it only a handful of times. I instead drove to a different gym to lift at. When I go to cancel it is the biggest hassle I’ve ever dealt with at a gym. Leaving the user confused as it’s hard to find the page on the website (no, you cannot cancel at the gym or over the phone). In turn I’m sure this is to make someone frustrated and just keep the membership or just freeze it so the user still pays their annual membership fee.
In turn, this gym is good for a lifter looking to do some cardio or light lifting. If this is not you, spend your money elsewhere.

Front desk staff are poorly trained and have VERY limited knowledge on gym operations. Trainers/specialists are great (from what I experienced with them). Managers are rude and don't appear to have a genuine interest in clients' fitness goals or operations of running the facility. The manager that I signed my contract with was rude and aggressive with getting me to sign. I had just moved here at the time due to work (Army Soldier) and had explained to the manager that I lived on base and didn't see/find any other gyms in the local community so thought this location (Robinsville, Jersey Strong) was the only gym. He failed to mention that there were several options that were closer to base that maybe a better fit. Obviously advertising a competitor is a conflict of interest, however, as a member of the military, I thought he'd try to help a troop out. Additionally, and probably the most annoying, is that in order to cancle the gym membership, you have to create an account on a third party website to cancle membership. This is the only gym I've ever signed with that makes it more difficult to cancle than simply calling the gym directly and canceling over the phone. Completely unnecessary practice from this business. Other issues I had while being a member of 2 months: Smoothie bar is rarely staffed/operational. Machines are crammed closely together. I had encountered one instance where I arrived 10mins prior to their opening hours and waited 30mins passed the opening hour, along with other eager guests in the parking lot, and the gym never opened (this was my last straw, as I don't have patience for having my time wasted). I had to continually give them my banking info when I checked in for a workout, as I kept receiving phone calls from the third party billing agency that my payments couldn't be processed due to my info not being on file. Again, I'm a busy person in the military that doesn't have much spare time, so to be waking up to go to the gym 30mins away only to wait an extra 10-15mins before I can start my workout due to their mishandling of banking information is a HUGE problem for me. Overall, bad experience and am relieved I'm done with this business that isn't serious about business.

I started training with Samantha Farina about two months ago and from the very first session, I knew she was called to train. She begins every session with a detailed workout plan written on a white board and before we begin, she demonstrates every exercise individually. After showing the correct way of performing the exercise, she asks you to perform the exercise as a preview while watching your position and form. She makes any corrections during this time that are deemed necessary to perfect the exercise. After she finishes the demonstrations- it’s time to work.
Samantha is amazing at pushing you past your limits and encouraging you to build and achieve to meet greater PRs.
I have noticed much more definition and strength in only two months!
She’s by far the best!

I had heard bad things about billing and wish I had listened. I joined last year right before Covid. The problem is when you try to cancel. I unfroze my membership but was told my daughter would be frozen till Dec. They decided last week they would unfreeze all accounts June 1st with no notice. I tried to cancel but they said I needed 30 days notice when they gave me only 2 weeks notice. Then they withdrew payment twice in same month bc they knew I was complaining about payment. It’s a pandemic and I’m not working. We went for one month and have paid close to $300 with all their annual fees and all the months that they charged us bc they kept changing the freezes. If you join put minimal money on a charge card. Do not give bank acct. they are crooks and will screw you.

I am giving a 2 because there was once a time I enjoyed it there. I loved the classes and the instructors. Before Covid the equipment seemed uncleaned. This had made me nervous in going back but I was still willing to freeze my account and go back when I felt more comfortable. I can not speak for how it looks now for I have not been there. I had requested a freeze for all 3 accounts under me. I received confirmation and was still charged for the other 2 monthly. I was also charged in November for my yearly membership that when I called was not due until January. The other 2 are for March 1. (which would end the contract agreement) I have then spent hours going back and fourth between Jersey Strong & ABC to have this resolved and cancel my memberships. Between the freezing and unfreezing the membership account will not let me in to fill out the required form to cancel regardless of it. I have had Jersey strong on the phone while doing it no luck. I've asked for a manager, I've asked to come up for help, I was told if I cant find it they aren't going to be able to do it either. I've asked for the form to be emailed to me since I can't get into the account, they can't do it. They told me to go to ABC for help, ABC tells me they can help then tells me they can't ~ go back to Jersey Strong. Jersey Strong's desk girl had told me to just dispute it with my Credit Card Company because there isn't many employees at the Support center and I am not the only one going thru this. I have now disputed and won the charged that were posted to my credit card account and my CC Company has blocked them. They are still trying to charge me despite multiple emails listing all accounts to cancel the agreements and now saying they will send me info collection. Customer service is horrific to deal with and no one helps you. This is the sole reason why I left. This has started in beginning of November, now its the end of January with no resolve. I am writing a review in hopes of Jersey Strong taking notice of how this is effecting their business so other people are not left in this position.

I had to leave because I did not feel comfortable there due to how they deal with COVID. About half the people are packed in the lifting area which makes up about 20 percent of the floor space. Very few people wipe down their equipment before or after use. On more than one occasion random people wanted to “work in with me,” I was forced to say no. I don’t understand, do they not know we have to clean the equipment before the next person uses it? I joined Jersey Strong for 15 days, and was told the joining fee was waived with a month fee of 30 dollars a month. Unfortunately, there were many fees I was not made aware of so I have been charged $164 for 16 days.

They say you are “taken care of” then 1,000 dollars later you are sent to collection for an issue that has been “resolved” for about a year. This place equipment is used and the majority is damaged. If the equipment is damaged its never repaired or replaced. They just take it out then there is a empty space. The parking is horrible unless you go early in the morning or late at night wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone

By far the worst daycare at a gym that I have ever seen. If you have kids and you are looking to take them with you I would go elsewhere. The lack of attentiveness and poor attitudes make me wonder why they even have the service available.
To top it off when you ask to speak to the GM about your sons mouth bleeding and his black eye, it’s “not something he deals with”.
Shame on me for not doing research before signing up at this place. Hopefully the other locations operate at a higher level.

Jersey Strong is definitely a step above a bargain gym, but far from a luxury gym. The Bad: No towels, small lockers, the only water fountain is on the second floor. The Good: The Zumba Classes taught by Tanya or Jodi are the best. I have searched far and wide for Zumba classes taught by instructors with actual rhythm. When I take the classes with either one of these ladies, I feel like I am at studio class. They have latest Zumba music, turn down the lights and make it a real party. I have a gym membership at another gym, but I will continue to pay for Jersey Strong as a secondary just to take the Zumba class with these two instructors (yes it's that serious). Also, the gym is very clean. Honorable Mention: Bola is an instructor for Move30, a dynamic stretching class. It's fun and a great work out. I also enjoy her personality as an instructor.

I am one of those people who has a hard time making it to the gym, so signing up for a trainer has been the best option for me. Craig makes sure that I use my sessions in the most efficient way possible hitting all the areas I need to work on. Without that, I honestly would be one of those people who pay monthly and dont show up. The gym is clean, has all the equipment possibly needed and the staff are always polite and helpful. The daycare is also a plus.

I have been working with personal trainer, Craig Peterson since June. He is very smart, and always shares his knowledge as we go through each exercise. He is sensitive to any issues I may have, and will adjust my workout accordingly. I really appreciate that. He always demonstrates proper form, and repeats it, if I dont get it right. He has helped me very much ( through stretching sessions ) with a particular chronic pain issue I had been having. I am definitely stronger since I started w him. CRAIG is very good. He started with the basics - what it takes to be healthy and aligned so that posture, actions of exercises were correct. He pushes when he knows you can do more and he is very good at making sure that you are properely lifting, etc. I only get to work out once/week and I can see differences in posture, strength and I have lost 10 pounds!

Just took Denise’s 9am boot camp....It was AMAZING, as usual! Denise has the best energy and is so beyond talented as a trainer and instructor. Had a wonderful experience meeting with Alvin at Jersey Strong robbinsville. Signed up me and my wife. It is awesome that this gym offers child care, i have 2 boys and it is comforting to know i can bring them to the gym with me. I do not take the classes but my wife plans on taking full advantage. Gym is very clean, alot of equipment and ALOT of space. I used to be at planet fitness and it does NOT compare.
Only complaint is that there is only 1 water fountain? Guess i will bring my own!

Recently moved to the area with my boyfriend and wanted to join a gym near by. I took a tour was cool and the facility is nice BUT after expressing my decision to the Sales agent that I wanted to talk things over with my boyfriend she made a comment saying you don’t need his permission if it’s your money. After that I never went back.
They only care about taking your money.

I have mixed feelings about this gym, it’s clean and well maintained.....but when the trainers take the equipment you’re using mid workout because “they need it”, that shouldn’t be ok. There’s a lot of equipment and it’s a big gym so usually I don’t have a problem getting equipment, they shouldn’t be able to take it while you’re using it. I don’t care if they are training someone they should have gathered what they needed prior to the appointment.

My son was home from college for the summer & wanted to join a gym... of course he didn't wait for me to go with him & got roped into a predatory membership. Now he will be paying for the next 12 months after he was told he could freeze his membership at any time. No one told him that while it was froze he still had to paid at half the monthly rate. Additionally, "frozen months" don't count toward the 12 month annual membership. Total bamboozle shell game.
I will be reaching out to the NJ state Attorney General as well as the BBB for the predatory practices. In a nutshell STAY AWAY!
