ZERO Stars! My 2.5 year old daughter was signed up for a dance class and clearly was not into it after the first session. This studio refused to give any sort of a refund for the remaining Fall sessions even though she will not be going. At the end of the day, she's a toddler who we are not going to force into something. I was shocked at the reaction and attitude from management (no refunds, you signed up for it, tough luck buster) given this studio is in our nice community. Beware parents!

Kick Dance is a very special studio and truly provides “more than just great dancing” for children of all ages. This woman-owned and women-run studio provides so much to our community and my 6 year-old daughter, who is a student there. The teachers are wonderful – skilled in teaching dance (and other performing arts like theater and singing!) to kids of all ages, and also adored by the children. The owner and staff foster a culture of both discipline in learning, and fun, camaraderie, and community. The older kids are incredibly kind and encouraging to the younger students, something that helps my (sometimes shy) daughter grow confidence. Miss Vanessa and Miss Janet are always available for questions or assistance. Their client service is outstanding. The studio provides so many learning opportunities at every level of skill and commitment. Every day that my daughter has class, she returns home bubbly and smiling. My daughter also has special medical considerations and Miss Vanessa (the owner) and her staff were so wonderful in making sure her needs were met and that I was comfortable throughout pandemic challenges and concerns. Any child with an interest in performing arts would find so much joy and growth at Kick Dance!

My experiences with Kick Dance Studios have been nothing short of amazing, from being a full time nanny and bringing the girls to and from classes, to being a new mom and bringing my own child here. My daughter began in summer camp, and quickly went into a full year class! My girls switched to kick two years ago. I see so much growth in both of them. They both did there first solos last year and placed in the top 10 or higher every time. They have become such strong confident dancers. Also they have made such wonderful friends, and dance friends are the best friends. The teachers and staff go above and beyond for these kids!

Signed my 3 year old up for the mini Princess Ballet Spring session and it’s been amazing! Would definitely recommend this school! The teachers are the sweetest, always wearing a mask and makes this Covid anxious mama feel very safe.

My rating of kick is in regards to owners and management, not the teachers. To quickly summarize, if your child loves dance this studio is convenient and the teachers are kind and supportive, so this may be a good fit for you. Unfortunately, the owner of the studio is only concerned with running a business, and not the love of dance. My daughter took one semester and did not seem that into it but kept giving mixed signals. The owners kept saying to push through- they have seen many children start this way and end up loving dance. I signed up for a second semester and a summer session. Four classes into the second semester and a trial of a different activity it became apparent she just did not like dance. We were unable to cancel due to it being a private class, and being that the session had already started I found that understandable and reasonable. What became not reasonable, however, was when I tried to cancel the summer session 4.5 months out, which was now sold out, and she told me there was a no refund policy. This is fine if you have a child who loves dance and you may simply reschedule, because you will receive a "credit". It is not fine when you have a child who no longer wants to dance and you have a studio who is more than capable of filling a spot but chooses not to because they have covered themselves through an online no refund policy.
There is a policy, and there is common decency and human understanding of right and wrong. The owner would rather have a child in class who does not want to be there more than anything in the world, just to receive that check.
Not only that, when there was a miscommunication on the price of the private class we had initially signed up for, and paid for prior to attending class, she went to every person in the class the next week when we were absent telling them if I did not pay the class would be canceled, rather than simply contacting me to begin with to tell me I had paid the wrong amount and was short . It is truly shocking someone who is running a business would do something like this.

We have been at Kick Dance Studios for seven Seasons and have been so pleased with the growth our daughter has shown. She began with a Ballet/tap combo with Ms Dee when she was just 4 years old and is now beginning her Fifth year as part of the Competition Team. She loves her studio time so much and wants to take every opportunity and challenge Kick provides her.

This Fall, I decided to enroll my boy/girl twins in their own activities. I often feel like they each deserve more individual attention. Kick gives my little girl her own special time. Her teacher is patient and structured, yet manages to make each girl feel free, fearless, and like a princess. I love this studio, and am looking forward to see my daughter flourish with them as the years go by.

We have been going to Kick for 3 years and couldn’t be happier. The studio fosters an inclusive, supportive and fun environment. My daughter is one of the younger girls in some of her classes but has made friends with some of the older girls. My heart melted at the recent charity show when so many other girls cane up to my daughter to compliment her and congratulate her - it’s more than I could have ever asked for, this second family for her. Dance has been such a confidence booster as well, the transformation especially this year has been incredible. We can’t wait to continue with Kick and see where it takes us!

My daughter loves Kick Performing Arts! It’s a great studio for kids who love to perform, work hard and have fun! There are many opportunities for your child’s interests from comp dance team to singing in a caberet. The owner and staff win awards for their choreography which the kids love to perform. I couldn’t be happier that we found Kick 4 years ago. My daughter loves all the teachers there and has made such incredible friends with so many of the girls there both older and younger. It truly is like a family. They have so many options for classes including vocal lessons and musical theater. Which my daughter has really taken such an interest in this past year. She is learning so much about being part of a team and always be kind and include everyone to being responsible for yourself and through life. She has come out if her shell since starting dance 4 years ago. I never thought I would see her get out on stage in front of hundreds of people and perform. They really look out for each child in there and help guide them. Now my second has started dancing and is loving it as well. Kick is the place to DANCE!!! Both of my girls started at Kick at age 3 and my oldest has now been dancing for 6 years. The dance teachers are amazing - so supportive and fun. Their enthusiasm for dance is contagious. You always feel like you get individual attention from the owner, Vanessa Berry. She has a way of really building confidence in her dancers. The class selection is excellent and the special events that are planned, including bringing in Broadway dancers / choreographers cannot be beat. My girls absolutely love dancing at Kick. We love Kick!! I have three daughters who are all on different levels and Kick has classes that appeal to each one. Vanessa, the owner, just gets it -- she is patient, flexible, passionate and organized. My girls are having fun, building skills and bolstering their self-confidence at Kick. They enjoy it so much that they often can be found at home going over choreography! The competitive team is a great experience. They not only experience being part of an award-winning team, they also learn that dancing can make a difference, as Vanessa chooses a different local charity each year that the team raises funds for. Overall, Kick is a special place with fantastic teachers and staff -- we can't imagine having our girls dance anywhere else.
