I cancelled mine and my daughters memberships in December which was not easy to do being they require you sign paperwork with a manager who was almost never available. It turns out they have been charging me for her account the whole time. I left three messages for a manager and no one ever returned my call, each time I went to the gym they “were in a meeting” When I finally bought this to the managers attention he didn’t seem to concerned and advised me to dispute it with the credit card company. New management and or ownership seems to not really care about their clients. Place is ran by kids and people who are never available. We were planning on renewing our memberships, Needless to say we will be attending another gym.

Went to play to basketball there for the first time today it’s definitely a great , clean & quite place to practice or have pick up games. The only one issue I had was that the “Small court” was too hot! Needs more air pumping through there other than that will recommend to anyone!

Been a member for a number of years. Pay almost $50 per month because it is not crowded.
But recently the gym has subleased an old restaurant to a Church. They promised us the church would have to park in underground lot but does not enforce.
So now you cannot find parking anytime the church is open. Brought it to the girl at front desk attention who blew me off. A week later manager told me she would take care of it stating they must park underground. A week goes by and guess what happens. Again I am forced to park off grounds.

The BEST gym in the area - all of the equipment is fairly new and in working order, immaculately clean facility and locker rooms, significantly bigger than it appears from the outside (large variety of equipment and workout rooms, pool, indoor turf field and racquet ball courts, running track, etc), and a very friendly staff... great vibe and value relative to the monthly cost. Highly recommend!

I am a new member in the gym and I was happy to have joined King's court in Lyndhurst. The experience with classes, instructors and cleaning are optimal. However, I cannot say the same of the reception staff, who are rude and do not have the slightest education. The girls are so disrespectful, especially the one who worked today Tuesday afternoon, exactly 10:00 pm. I kindly asked her to give me a milkshake, she got up with a nasty attitude, rolled her eyes. I believe this young lady needs to take a human relation classes to know how to communicate with members of the gym who come to King’s Court to have a peaceful time and not deal with attitude from an employee. When I came in today, I decided to question her why she asked me for my identification for ordering a shake last Saturday Instead of answering me she said its none of your business and begins to bang, throw the ingridients around, and made a half made super disgusting shake that I ended up throwing out. This is not the first time I have to deal with her. I come to the gym I have to deal with her attitude. It makes me not want to buy a shake. Im paying almost 10 dollars for it to come out terrible, and have to deal with rudeness. I truly believe there are so many people who would want a job in this company. If she isnt happy with her job, there are so many people who can take her place and show a better, positive energy than what I am receiving right now. I truly believe the owner should consider who is working for his company and representing them, this looks bad for his business. From what I see from the reviews its the same reason King’s Court is recieving terrible feedback which is customer service. I always give respect to anyone around me, and it is only common curiosity to receive respect back.

Staff is not friendly, the woman at the front desk wasn't helpful and the folks that set up accounts were not present which forced me to pay 20$ for a guest pass rather than join the gym(which I wanted to do initially). At which point I realized people who run a business this way don't deserve my money. When they don't staff accordingly and shake you down and expect you to join without the option to sign up on the spot.

The place it's good, spin class has some outdated machines, it's a average gym for who is looking to lift weights, but has other amenities as a soccer field, basketball court, pool etc. the staff at the front desk they're in a bad mood at all times, it seems that they don't love their work, not friendly.

If I could give it a one star I would. Do not go to this gym. I’m currently a member of this gym and have been enjoying my first few months but in my recent trip I was harassed in the gym by a fellow memeber. I called to get my membership cancelled and the steps for cancellation but was rudely talked and threaten like another number. Please for your sake do not go to this gym if you want to be harassed.

It has been more than a year now that I am going to KingsCourt. The treadmills are very old and soon out of service, the speakers for group classes are broken. Always the instructor says hopefuly one day, they will be fixed. Imagine a Zumba class or Spinning class with broken Speakers :(. I never go swimmimg so I have no idea about that. the girls who are sitting by the enterance are arrogant.
I hope they will send them to customer service training or hire new ones.

I was a member here for over 12 years and worked out here religiously 3-4 times a week. Then I watched sadly as this gym started going downhill after the original owner passed away and her son took over. They started cutting hours on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. The equipment started to not be so well maintained. Areas of the gym got less clean. But the killer for me wasn't any of those things-- it was the low bar for the new staff they started hiring. As nice, friendly, helpful staff left they were replaced with some of the rudest and grumpy people I've ever had to deal with- treated me and paying customers like crapola. Tons of bad attitudes. It got so bad that I couldn't stand it anymore and left. Now Kings Kourt looks like they've cleaned up - rebuilt the gym, new paint, some new equipment, etc. but judging by many of these reviews they're still not 100% on good customer service - treating customers with respect. Being friendly and helpful, etc. like they used to do back when the original owner ran it. Pretty sad since otherwise this is a great non-franchise gym. But who knows? Maybe the new management will read enough of customer complaints here and elsewhere and their lightbulb may go on- "Hey, it's the customer, stupid!" - and finally address that issue.

I was given a 3 day pass by mike who was very informative. I wasn’t able to make so I was given another one. I took the cardio kick box 2x on Monday @ 6 which was amazing. No one pushed me to purchase and Has a nice vibe. I like the pool, jacuzzi and sauna options. Sports Club like atmosphere.I will most likely join later this spring.

Their StairMasters are not only old, but they are NOT in proper working order. Oh, and there are only three of them in total. Beware of the intermittent "jerking" motion of the steps, and the arrow keys (to adjust your workout) which are a constant frustration to operate. I tried to talk with staff, who denied any issue with the StairMasters, and Management doesn't seem interested whatsoever. Meanwhile, I have heard a number of other members complain about the StairMasters as well, and in the very short time I was there. I miss MAC. There was never an issue at the Meadowlands Athletic Club.

Worst place ever. I went in to cancel my membership in August 2016 and I was told it will be cancelled by September. In November I realized I was still getting charged, I went back and spoke to the short lady with short hair and promised me that my membership was cancelled as of today October 25th and we will call u to reimburse you for September. Today 12/19/2016 and I'm still arguing with them to cancel my membership and they won't credit me or honor anything the fact the I been paying for service I'm not receiving.

Awesome facility, been here for awhile now, Angie is such a cool,sweet person, the best in my opinion. I love that there is more of an older crowd atmosphere here, not as much teens or young adults here like in most gyms, theres always parking, always room to workout, boxing room is a plus as well as the other ammenities. before joining this gym i trained at other gyms and even now i occasianally visit other gyms but i still wouldnt change to any other gym in the area as long as they remain the same : ) Thanks Kings court !

Extremely disappointed with every level of management. Went to work out with an ACTIVE member of our military the day before the 4th of July and because he was a former member, who left the gym because he was leaving for boot camp, had to pay a $20 fee to work out. Even showing his military ID wasnt enough and was told by a supervisor (Angie) to take it up with upper management (Patty). 4 failed attempts to get a return call from Patty tells me more than I need to know about this embarrassment of an establishment. Gyms been going downhill for a while. Me and my four other family members will discontinue our membership as soon as we can.

As far as facility great, but personnel, not so much. I called to cancel my membership months ago. However, when I called today to find out why I was still getting charged, they said their policy is to cancel in person. Which makes no sense. Which I wasn't told on the phone. Which I guess is why you are still charging me. Long story short, they will not credit me, or work with me, and now I have to physically go there just to say I no longer want to pay over $48 a month to not work out here. If they can automatically enroll me and charge me, then they she be able to auto-cancel as well. Many thanks for wasting now both my time and money.

Would love to rate higher but today 6/15 I learned they raised prices if you have a child. So now from paying $47/month I can expect to pay $57/month. At those prices i could go to 24 hr fittness or signature fitness around the corner from my house where day care is free. I left retro paying $26/month with day care for kings court. You ask representatives what the reason for is and they have no answer!!!! Nothing is being upgraded in day care everything is the same. Basically giving money away and that is from sales rep. So if we giving you $10/child what do we get??? Penalize the faithful member and steal our money i know.... this should be breach of contract!!!

Ever since they made internal improvements and renovations, it's awesome. My buddies and I are big fans of the racquet ball court and play weekly games there. Their weight machines are kept in great shape and my wife loves the treadmills with the TV's. Would definitely recommend.

There are way better options than this trash receptacle. NYSC has a great deal running right now thats much cheaper than their rates. Knowledgable staff and trainers, and not to mention you don't have to deal with the "Made for T.V. Spinoff; The Jersey Shore meets the Housewives of Trashjersey, while battling Growing up Gotti!"

Frankly it's a shame as this gym has a lot of potential. They have a lot of equipment, impressive considering that it's not a franchise. That being said the inept staff, tool-bag crowd and overpriced rates are not worth it.

You're better off going to any other gym...

Oh and I find it pretty pathetic that the Gym and it's staff have had to go and put 5 star favorable reviews for it, they've also done this on Yelp. Lol
