UPDATE: LA Fitness has somehow managed to get even worse. They now let broken equipment sit for literal months even after you report it broken. They truly do not care.

LA fitness is the perfect blend of a "serious" gym and "casual" gym. A good mix of equipment, not too many loud weight-droppers, and generally clean and organized.

Is it worth joining? Absolutely not. My wife canceled her trainer when the gym shut down for covid. We find out almost a year later that they had still been charging us because she apparently hadn't submitted a written request. She tried calling corporate and got yelled at, only to find out a week later when talking to our local branch that there was no record of her calling at all. So contractually they'll make you jump through all of these flaming hoops if at any point you want to stop paying them, but if your card expires you'll start getting calls constantly from LA fitness from many different locations until it's resolved. I think I got 13 calls in one day before I had a work break that let me actually pick up and resolve the issue.

Wish your location had different equipment? You can ask the front desk and they'll tell you that what they have is set by corporate so all locations are the same, unless you ask why your location doesn't have a raquetball court like another location (even though you pay the same rate)... at which point suddenly that "fixed template" line isn't relevant.

They're also one of the more egregious cases of charging you a ton for sign up fees so that you're disincentivized to leave.

Oh, and a recent new addition is that the railroad you into installing their app to be able to get into the gym. They don't do gym tags anymore, so unless you're fluent in disabling permissions on apps on your phone be prepared to give away personal data just to be able to walk through the door.

And don't even get me started on how little they enforced covid rules around masks and cleaning up at my gym. If you made it past the front desk you could basically do whatever you wanted and no one would stop you.

If there's any other gym chain near you, even if it's a slightly longer drive, go there instead. LA fitness /esporta locations are nice, but eventually you'll get ripped off or hit with corporate double speak.

I’m a grad student at Rowan and was looking for a new gym. My experience with LA fitness as been impeccable. Clean facilities, more than enough space so you can get your workout done even during peak hours in a timely fashion. Huge shout out to one of the managers, Steve. He was very accommodating with finding a proper membership for me and got me a very fair deal. Highly recommend LA fitness Glassboro and would recommend talking to Steve to go over your fitness goals.

No preventative maintenance or timely repair of equipment. Three different leg machines have been DOWN for at least one month. Nothing is greased or lubricated to maintain smooth flow of machines. Pads are in serious need of fabric replacement. These issues are continually brought to the attention of employees. Seems like crreating a new Pilates room is more of a priority to attract new members than to keep existing members with fully functional equipment. Very disappointed!

Want to say management reached out to me and mentioned some of the recent hardships that have been resolved and i can say there has been improvements made. It was clean the last few times I’ve went and a lot of the machine have been fixed.

Been a member here for about a year and I watched it slowly get worse and worse. It started as one or two machines being broken now over 10 critical machines to workouts are broken. Some have been broken for over 3 months now. Found bugs in the locker room recently. For the $40-55 this costs monthly these machines should not be down this frequently. Going to give it another month and if they aren’t repaired I’m canceling my membership. If you stop in to try to get a membership look around at all the out of service equipment. If the gym is busy it’s almost impossible to get the workout you want done.

Outstanding service and cooperation from a management/administrative standpoint, and a clean friendly facility. I had a membership at this location, then opened an account at another out of state facility due to a work transfer. As a result of a technical glitch, I was double-billed for a period of time. The Glassboro staff and Regional V-P could not have been more cooperative and professional in resolving the issue and providing a refund. Old school friendliness and service like this is hard to find.

I’ve been working out at this LA Fitness for a bit, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best gym experiences I’ve had. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Steve, the manager, is incredibly helpful and always goes out of his way to make sure members feel comfortable and supported. The rest of the staff is just as kind and professional; they’re always available if you have questions or need assistance.

One of the things that really sets this location apart is the variety of equipment. There are way more machine options here than at other gyms I’ve tried, so whether I’m doing strength training or cardio, I always find what I need without waiting around. It’s clear that they prioritize keeping everything well-maintained and up to date.

Another huge plus is how clean everything is. The pool area and locker rooms are spotless every time I come in, which makes a big difference in how comfortable I feel using all the facilities. It’s obvious the staff takes pride in keeping the space tidy and organized.

Overall, this LA Fitness location offers a great balance of professionalism, cleanliness, and equipment variety, all with a warm and welcoming vibe. It’s a really pleasant place to work out, and I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. Highly recommend!

I became a member of this gym, but they withdrew $65 from my account without my knowledge or consent. When I informed them that I no longer wished to attend and wanted to cancel my membership, they stated that cancellations could only be processed on Fridays as the manager is only available then. Despite this, they proceeded to withdraw an additional $45 monthly fee from my account the very next day. When I requested a refund, they blatantly lied, claiming it was not possible.

The pool and jacuzzi areas are consistently filthy, and when I attempted to cancel my membership for this reason, they refused to process it until after they had charged me. It is evident that their priority is to take your money and sign you up; beyond that, they show no regard for their members. I strongly advise against this facility

This location is one of my favorites that I’ve been too! It’s got all the free weights, machine weights, cardio equipment, you could ask for! They also got a basketball court and have volleyball a couple nights week as well! There’s fitness classes, functional training turf area, pool, jacuzzi, sauna and personal training! This is literally a one-stop-fitness-shop! The staff are friendly and nice as well! The gym is beautiful and very clean! Highly recommend! 10/10! Ask for the GM, his name is Steve! He is very helpful and always there to help, but if he’s not there to help you out, ask for Mark or Jaden! Those guys are awesome too!

Dirty. Smells like mold. Locker rooms and sauna are filthy. Sauna doesn’t reach above 160°. There are 2 squat racks. Virtually no handles for cable machines. Terrible layout. Not worth $25 a month in the slightest. I’ll be going to four seasons for an extra $5 a month just to leave the smell and potential mold poisoning.

Let me just say my first impression of this gym wasn't amazing! However, I brought one complaint to the gym’s attention and in less than 2 hours they reached out and accommodated me, and made my concerns known! Not only that, but they took it apon themselves to fix that exact problem THAT DAY!
