I stopped in for a walk-thru and got a full look at the gym. The layout was easy to navigate, and they actually had a good mix of cardio, weight machines, and free weight areas. The locker rooms were clean and smell nice.(which is always a plus). The staff explained the membership options without pressure. I overall felt like this is a gym I could get comfortable in.

A membership built on taking advantage of people and the house always wins. In August, I came upon financially hard times. I froze my account and payed $10 a month to keep the account. Yesterday, I noticed the annual fee charge. I immediately called West Orange and was told someone would call me back. No one did. I called Kearny and 2 young ladies, despite telling them I'm having a difficult time, explained there are absolutely no refunds despite wanted to cancel my membership altogether. I then asked how I can cancel. You have to cancel in-person or fill out of form and send it via the post office!!! Are you serious?! Post office? You can cancel online or anything easy, they make it difficult for you and lock you in so they keep charging you. They don't care about human beings.
Also, when I signed up in West Orange, I signed up expressly to use the pool. It was shut down for repair and I was told it would open after a weekend. It did not open for weeks!! And continued to be shut down on and off during the entirety of my membership.
