Ever since the renovations it has been a better environment with spacious room to work out . The locker rooms are more updated and cleaner . The sauna is also more spacious and gets to the perfect temperature. They have an added weight room and will be adding a Pilates room too which I’m Excited to try out . This has been my go to since the renovations. Staff is helpful if their assistance is needed.

This facility has been my “go to” place since its renovation earlier this year. The staff are really friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Plus, it has towel service in case you have forgotten yours (and just make sure to return it after its use; so, we’ll hopefully continue to use this special perk). Place has more benches, squat racks, cable stations, barbells, dumbbells, etc. Thankfully, the staff also regularly rerack the weights, which is highly appreciated during the peak times in the early evenings. The most lockers are very clean, as well as the shower area. Pool is pretty nice (heated, which helps a lot during the cold winters), despite I seldom use it. Many of the gym-goers are very friendly too. They offer some of their wisdom and encouragement, which adds a lot to the atmosphere. Lastly, there are lots of places nearby where we can replenish and enjoy after the rigorous workout. Parking is a lot challenging lately because of construction, but there are definitely lots of them as long as someone does not mind the extra walk.

It’s a very complete and functional gym. Great price with the ability to use multiple locations. My biggest issue is with non existing sauna etiquette. People walk in wearing street shoes and clothes, backpacks. Just today someone used the room to dry his sweaty tshirt. Practically noone uses towels there or showers. This means not only awful smell - more importantly toxins heat up and end up in your lungs. My expectations from general population is quite low but its on management to enforce some basic sauna rules…

Maybe its just me that notices but the machines have dust, rust and this map of dry salt/sweat residue.
People don't wipe machines after usage and i dont see staff on the floor wiping machines EVERyhe whole 2 hrs I'm there every day. Bad hygiene especially now with flu season afoot.
I've mentioned to two different staff o
separate occasion the clocks don't work around the gym and and after being assured they'll fix them nothing has been done. Why have them if they're not gonna work. Part of working out is TIMING. IF ANYTHING, EVERYINE IS COUNTING AND TIMING. Common sense in my opinion.
Reconsidering switching to my previous gym, which was cheaper and much more cleaner.
Also not many abbs workout machines.
I hope this helps some considering to join.
Pool is a bit cold and not well filtered as you can see floating hair and other particles in it.

Remodeled and more machines which is a plus! Dumbbells are a hit or miss to find. Definitely think having additional dumbbell racks in leg room and turf would solve the problem of not finding weights. Staff is friendly and they do their best to keep the gym clean.

Avoid signing up for this gym. Their business practices feel predatory, and canceling a membership is made unnecessarily difficult. When I called to cancel, they told me I had to come in person. When I went in, I was told the only person authorized to process cancellations wasn’t available either “not in today” or “not in until the afternoon.” It took three separate visits before someone finally clicked the two buttons needed to cancel my membership.
My wife had an even worse experience. She couldn’t cancel at this location because of their extremely limited “cancellation hours.” Ironically, when we visited a location in Boston, she was able to cancel her membership there on a Saturday with no problem… something the Secaucus staff insisted was “impossible.”

I’ve been coming to LA fitness for a few years and so far so great, but this gym in particular is super messy. Understandable given the amount of people that come in, but there should definitely be more staff around cleaning up all the dust and organizing. I’ll still come, I love LA.

Recently started going here, Ben and Emmanuel were a pleasure to interact with during one of my recent visits. Liking it here. Plenty of machines, etc. However, one suggestion for management to improve the place is to actually make a plan to either guide members to rack dumbbells in their actual weight marked location or get staff to frequently come over and place dumbbells in order on the rack because it’s always a mess and it could improve gym etiquette for all levels of gym goers. I go to this LA Fitness on Harmon Boulevard in Secaucus and the pool and jacuzzi have been fixed. Both the pool and the Jacuzzi were extremely clean and well functioning, as of 10/8/25. Congratulations to the manager for being on top of this :)

Firstly LA Fitness Secaucus is a good place for a workout. My family and I enjoy going here and will continue to go here. Never had any issues until today when someone broke into my daughters locker. Fortunately she had no valuables in her bag. So the thief relocated the bag to another locker. My daughter had to fully search the lockers and was fortunate they didn't take her bag/stuff. Patrons Beware! Take only what you need and leave no valuables in your lockers. There is a member at LA Fitness Secaucus that has no morals and will gladly steal from you. LA Fitness is aware of the incident.

To the person reading this — and LA Fitness staff,
Experience has taught me that incidents like this are worth putting on record, so here goes.
On 09/29/25 at approximately 08:00 at the LA Fitness location in Secaucus, I noticed a bench with a towel, bag, and phone left on it and no one nearby.
Thinking the bench had been vacated and wanting to make sure the items didn’t get lost or
get in anyone’s way, I carefully moved the belongings to the side so the bench could be used.
I then used the bench.
About ten minutes later the owner of the items returned and was upset, and they interpreted my actions as inconsiderate.
That was not my intention. If my moving the items came off wrong, I apologize.
A few points I want on record:
• The bench was unattended for roughly ten minutes before I used it.
• I moved the items carefully and placed them where they wouldn’t be misplaced or fall off.
• In my experience, leaving equipment unattended for an extended period generally signals it’s not actively reserved.
• This note is written so the situation is documented in case of any future misunderstandings.
Recommendation for LA Fitness: post a simple, visible reminder about unattended belongings and an approximate maximum time someone can “hold” equipment.
Clear expectations prevent arguments.
To the person who might read this: take no offense — If my action felt rude, consider this an apology and a nudge that we’re all here to get better — in the gym and out.
