Working with the Team of Turnersville LA have been awesome!🔥🔥🔥 Drew will be out and about on the gym floor greeting others, motivating, and ready to help with any questions we may have. He is also very energetic and engaged in helping clients learn new exercise techniques, use the correct form, and improving a healthy lifestyle. Michelle is an excellent motivator as well!!! After she got me in the gym, she would check in to see how things were going and is always ready to have a pleasant conversation! She is an wonderful advocate for the many classes that Turnersville LA offers and will get you excited to take advantage of them. PT Avery does an amazing job with his training methods and explaining the "why" (and why not) in training a certain way. He is passionate about personalizing your training routine and working with your abilities so that you feel CONFIDENT. Honestly the best La Fitness in the south Jersey area. I have a PT Avery , guy is amazing. We work on plyometrics , weight lighting, & calisthenics. He is super knowledgeable, very personable, calm , respectful, & polite. He’s very consistent, open , and honest when evaluating and demonstrating movements. He explains why you should be doing an exercise or why you shouldn’t be doing an exercise. Basically, he knows what he’s talking about. He’s a great leader. Please please please , book him for sessions , not just 1 but multiple. You won’t regret it!

I’ve been a member at this location since 2014, and I’ve got to say it really feels like a second home. Drew and Michelle in particular make the experience welcoming — I’m greeted by name so often that I joke I might be here a little too much! Their friendliness and professionalism set the tone for the whole gym.

The facility overall is solid, with plenty of equipment and space to get a good workout in. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because some equipment is showing its age. That said, upgrades are happening, which is encouraging to see.

If you’re looking for a gym with a community feel and great staff, this LA Fitness is worth checking out.

Joined back in February. Michelle signed me up and Drew helped me with getting a personal trainer. Both have been incredible since. They remembered my name from day 1 and go out of their way to interact and ensure a solid experience every time. Esporta/LA fitness has been my go to spot for over a decade. Each of them are slightly different in Jersey, but the equipment always works, the kicker room is usually clean, and there are always classes all week long if that's your thing. Something was stolen from me yesterday and it doesnt seem like an urgency to find the person who did it. I probably could point the guy out but was denied access to the view only one hour of footage via security cameras in the facility. I am not happy and i am just shocked that someone would prey on people in the locker room n steal their belongings. I am also shocked that the gym has no supervision of who or what they allow in their facility i have never had to deal with this at any other LA fitness. I just dont feel safe to put anything down in this gym not even my water. Other people complained to the front desk about lockers being broken into as well yesterday 03/04/2025 so if u had credit debit cards ex. in the mens locker room i suggest you cancel your cards. The new scam they just need a picture of your card so they don't need to take them. I feel like this is information to be shared because bottom line dont take anything of value in this gym period. They do not have control of the traffic and dont care if anything happens to you property.

1) There's no female to keep the ladies' locker room/bathroom clean while members are there during open hours.
2) The people who work there don't walk around to enforce people to put equipment back where it belongs. When/if they do walk around, that's all they do. They don't enforce anything.
3) Machines stay broke for a long period of time. Not fixed in a timely manner.
4) The people who work there mostly stay up at the front desk. If you ask a question like when are they getting a female for the ladies' locker room, you get a smart mouth answer.

Corporate office in Irvine California and the gyms are not trust worthy.
-you pay for gym memberships to go to other gyms and they keep closing all the gyms! So there's no other gyms to go to in 25 mile radius.
-corporate sends you no emails they're closing these gyms and then you drive up there in their closed.
-equipments broke for month
-very overcrowded!
-when you do call corporate they said they'll give you a call back but they never call you back!
-when they want their money they will call you; when you have a problem they never call you back I have names ,dates and times when corporate said they would call me back and haven't received a call back in 2 weeks and they said "they will call back in 24 to 48 hours."

Is also a shame that people are allowed to vape inside of this gym today i caught a guy who wore a green jacket and blew vape smoke inside the gym. How is this allowed this is a public place. Go to home depot or Lowe's and buy a no smoking vaping sign they are only 3.47 at the front entrance to enforce this problem at this location.

An place that allows people break into your lockers and do nothing about it. Management should be going over the broke equipment so it gets repaired place and request that all the lockers be replaced with new lockers that have lock combination by number id so people can not break into them. I still go to this gym but i am very disappointed by the way they do things. Their should be a suggestion box so people can input their concerns and they listen to what people have to say

10+ year member. Customer service could use improvement. Some front desk staff aren’t engaging towards the customer, when asked a question they appear annoyed. Management is accommodating, however. The facility is spacious; equipment for the most part is up to date or is replaced timely - as administratively possible. My favorite part is its yoga class, the instructor has been there several years and is excellent, informative, individual wellness conscious and kind spirited. And it’s the only LA Fitness I’m aware of in the geographical area that has a steam room…. Love love love it.

They have satisfactory equipment here; some of the handles are worn down, but everything works for the most part. I would give this gym four stars if that were everything.

However, while I was trying to cancel my membership, I overheard a conversation between two employees; one seemed to be the other's superior. She was cursing at him and acting in a very unprofessional manner, overall. This caught me off-guard, so I admit I was a little meek when I went to ask about cancelling my membership. I was brushed off like an insect, as if I were someone irrelevant and not a paying customer.

I had lost a family member recently, and this establishment provided me a convenient place to sweat out my tears as I processed everything. As of today though, I would recommend looking into more professional gyms with friendlier atmospheres.

This gym is disgusting, I didn’t even want the pool water to touch me if you could imagine that. There were sweaty men standing around the pool wearing SNEAKERS waiting for the sauna. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. I surprised the board of health hasn’t heard about the state of the wet areas. The trainers had fried chicken and Chinese food on their desks. I’m not one to ever write a review and I don’t have any ill intentions, but a gym is just not somewhere where cleanliness should be a concern. It’s got to be expensive upkeep gyms with amenities, but some things should not be overlooked—- especially for the price point.

I miss the integrity LA Fitness used to have, it was a great affordable alternative to Lifetime. Now, planet fitness even has better sanitation practice. I’ve been a member at almost every gym out there for access to different amenities.

Hands down Marlton is worth the 40 minute drive, I just wish I didn’t have to.

From the time I entered the building, (at that time it was called Esporta in Turnersville), I felt welcomed. I had just retired, so I was a little hesitant about joining. I was invited by Minerva Castro to experience her Zumba Class. I absolutely Loved it💖, I really, really really wanted to join after that class. Minerva introduced me to Bianca. Bianca was an angel in disguise. She found me a

Will not renew my membership.
One of the locker rooms has had some odd odor for weeks that only recently cleared up, the one staff member I asked about renewing my membership was rude, distracted, and instead of telling me all the plans told me that the plan she decided was the best was the best for me. Even though she stated that she only chose that plan because it benefited her the most. Outdated water filtration system it is unknown if they ever replace the water filters.
Read the fine print of anything this place has you sign.

Amazing gym that reminds me of the good old LA Fitness I used to go to prior to Covid and all that. Everyone is super friendly, equipment is spread out and you feel very comfortable working out at any level. A member for 20 plus years since it was LA fitness. This used to be “the gym”. Great staff, great instructors, management was always accommodating. NO MORE! And what a shame this is. Example. The spin room…used to be standing room only. You had to get there early to reserve a bike. So many classes , a long list of amazing instructors, the energy in the room was incredible. Everyone around wanted to be in the spin classes here. Fast forward. Spin bikes are 20 years old. Rusty, always broken. There are usually more broken along the wall waiting to be fixed than there are to choose from to take a class and those few available grind, most screens don’t work… the amount of classes offered has diminished to very few because no one wants to teach there or take classes because it’s so outdated , filthy and unkept with so many local gyms in the area with competitive pricing that upkeep their bikes and equipment. Every year I’m told they will be updated and here we are almost 20 years later. It’s very sad because like I said this gym and it’s classes used to be packed and now everyone has left for other gyms because they don’t want to invest to get people back. What a shame. This gym could be what it used to be! Make the investment ESPORTA or just keep losing people. Sad

So Woodbury and Somerdale locations recently abruptly closed! Since those closings Turnersville location has gotten more of an influx of people. You would think the bikes in spin room would be fixed?!! Nope! This is not the instructors fault. They are all amazing. I feel for the members and instructors that our years of begging for much needed working bikes falls on deaf, ignorant ears. The bikes are junk! Took class this am and had to try 4 bikes before finding one that worked! This is not just me either! Now its the “norm”…get there early to find a bike that works! Pathetic! And the broken bikes along the wall do NOT get maintained. Instead the staff put those non working bikes in with the others in the room because it looks bad to have more broken than working bikes. A new member walked Into class today late and could not find a bike that worked so the instructor had to get off her bike and help her search taking away from our class … another common issue. Again, NOT instructors fault! We need new bikes! If you go and tour during a class dont think all the empty bikes and so few people are because of the instructors. Its simply because 9 times out of 10 all those empty bikes do NOT work! These 20 plus year old pieces of Keiser junk that keep getting re painted to look new… us long time members know the truth. Come on ESPORTA this is unacceptable.
Take this advice. If youre looking to join here or any gym for that matter and spin class is a top priority tour the gym during a class… stay until class ends and talk to the members and instructors who will tell you the truth! Not lies that they get maintained once weekly! All they care about is their sale and commission. Even better pay a guest fee and try out a class before spending your hard earned money. Its an incredible shame. At most Im sure this review will be seen , shared and just laughed at by management and corporate instead of caring about the paying members. Oh yeah, its also a huge safety issue! Yes the bikes have fallen apart on many people while riding! Pedals flying off, seats breaking. Not safe Esporta!! We NEED NEW bikes!!! Its been over 20 years!!! We have needed new bike for the last 10 years!!! Do better Esporta! Care about your members and please please stop lying to us.

I find it quite bothersome to express my opinions about businesses, particularly when it comes to negative reviews. Nevertheless, I have been a loyal member of this gym for a considerable amount of time and have made an effort to comprehend the principles of business ethics. While I must admit that this gym does not rank among the worst, it also fails to meet the standards of excellence. In my opinion, it is imperative for all parties involved, including the members, staff, and owners, to make a collective effort to improve. The primary issue that I would like to address is the inadequate air circulation, resulting in uncomfortably high temperatures. It is crucial for the management to prioritize and make necessary improvements in terms of providing a cooler environment.

Disappointed!!!
Initial experience was pleasant, but seems rapidly declining!!!

For the years, I’ve been coming to this gym, the steam room seems to be out of commission more often than not. During this recent stretch has been out of commission for over a month and counting!!!

I’ve also noticed the cardio equipment is in poor condition as well.

I hope management makes a conscious effort to maintain some of the quality they once had if they want to maintain/increase membership.

I like this location a lot, there's a lot of mirrored space, machines, weights, etc. even on a busy day. The class instructors are better at this location then others in my experience , specifically Body Works and Cycling.

I will say that I agree that the showers and pool could be cleaner. This locations pool has a pretty strong "pool" smell compared to other gyms, although it is a pretty large pool. I usually go to another location to swim, and only use the showers after swimming, so I don't run into this dilemma here in turnersville.

This gym is dirty. There’s no other way to sugar coat it. I’ve been to many locations of LA fitness and Esporta and this location is not up to par at all comparatively. There is dust or gunk on most of the machines, degraded machines that are torn, rusted and not well maintained. Weight lifting and cable accessories are brown from not being cleaned. At the end of every session, I wash my hands and the water is brown from the dirt on the equipment I’m using. I just resorted to buying gloves as extra protection measure from germs. That’s just gross even when using a public gym.

In other gyms I’ve gone to, there are consistently staff cleaning the machines throughout the day and I only have seen staff cleaning the weight sections floor here. Not wiping down cardio machines fully, and not sanitizing and cleaning the weights area, the group fitness room, or the mats throughout the gym. I would never in a million years shower here.

I work from home and am not around a lot of germs generally due to this and since coming to this gym for the last two months, I’ve gotten sick several times and really believe it wouldn’t have occurred if there were better cleanliness standards in place.

The women’s sauna doesn’t seem like it’s been cleaned consistently either. Wooden boards missing. I’m in progress to find a new gym in the area.

Furthe me to the cardio and lifting equipment.. they are not maintained. Cable machines are broken and can cause injury, machines are rusty, cardio machines are so old and outdated. I don’t remember the last time I saw a treadmill tv work. Not sure what people are paying for. The bathrooms are poorly lit and not updated. The sauna never gets hot enough. I honestly don’t know how they get away with it and why they don’t invest in updating anything. So many other locations have received updated machines in the last year. Where’s the accountability with leadership?? Machines are always broken and signs that they should be putting up indicating they are out of order are not put up at all … I once used a leg press machine (not the free weight) and almost really hurt myself because the cable was off the track and it fell back into me. Not sign showing that it was broken. They clearly are not servicing these machines with any consistency.

For the cost of the memberships- there is clearly zero money being reinvested into this location.

I love the employee's at Esporta Fitness doesn't matter what time of the day it is early morning or almost closing time they are always friendly and always greet you when you get there and when you leave. I've always been a huge fan of the water so when I heard they had an indoor pool I had to sign up for a membership. The place is huge and they even have a kids area so the parents can work out while the little ones are getting their baby work out on lol.

Came in and signed up for my membership with Frank. Frank is an awesome guy, and he was kind enough to give me a tour of the facility a month ago. Although I didn’t sign up at the time, I remembered my experience with Frank, and I came in and he got me signed up. Very effortless process, and thanks to Frank I’m now a proud member of Esporta!

I absolutely love all of the spin instructors at Esporta Fitness in Turnersville. Dave, Perry, Cherie, and Dana are all so good! I love their turf area as well as the sauna and pool.

my deep concern is the cleanliness of the woman’s shower and bathroom area. It is horrible I know as many other people are saying the same thing and still no results have been shown. Need the close down the water area until things can look better it’s a disgrace to show someone a walk-through and allow them to see mole, Rust and other horrible things around in the pool area.

The hot tub has been broken down for years. They cannot keep steam room runnig it been down for over a month when isaid something about the hot tub i was told to go to another gym.The showers have mold embedded in grout.I was also to to call corporate office .which by the way should be the manager job and when you do get in touch they blame it on the manager not putting in paperwork

I've been trying to get out of my group training for 2 weeks due to billing issues and they still haven't been resolved. I like the gym but the customer service really sucks. Beware when signing up for group training. It feels like they force it down your throat to pay something extra. Oh and they will say they'll call you back and never do. Her name is Ruby.

Great and clean gym with amazing customer service from the staff. Mark helped me out with the membership for a great price. Talked to the Personal Training Manager after and got a great discount on training prices as a new member! Best gym to sign up at.

Needs help with cleaning. The steam room has issues. Whoever goes in the steam room should understand how it works but don't. There's a thermometer for a reason, if you keep pouring water on the stat you brake it and put it out of commission for EVERYONE. Things work the way they are supposed to for a reason.

The equipment is outdated and in bad shape. I have witness no members wipe down machines when done. The sauna and the pool are the only benefit I see here. I had high hopes with my trial membership, I'm disappointed

This is my gym! I have explored so many gyms in the tristate area, but ESporta is by far the best around. This establishment used to be called "LA Fitness" and most of the gyms that they opened up were old YMCA buildings that had closed in the local areas. YMCA always had a pool. That means, ESporta fitness centers all have an indoor pool. I have a point system in which I rate places and it begins with Atmosphere, People, Amenities, and aesthetics. For Esporta, I give it a 10 because they have a pool, dry sauna, steam room, hot tub, workout equipment, cardio machines, basketball courts, racket ball courts, boxing/dance room, cycling, and they have a shake bar. As a parent, its most convenient to have a babysitter and most gyms do not have a childcare. Well, Esorta does. The kids care is available twice a day in the morning and at dinner time which is when most people get off of work. The times are very helpful.
I love the people there too! They are such a friendly staff with the exception of two individuals there, who really were very rude to me and gave me the meanest faces and didn't even care to try to hide that they were looking at me rudely. Otherwise, the guy who makes the shakes made me feel welcome and so did the assistant manager. If you want a gym that has it all, go to Esorta.
