Life Time markets itself as a luxury athletic resort, but the Mount Laurel location falls far below that standard. I’m often ignored when entering, and my membership benefits were questioned repeatedly this spring while I was actively training. I’ve also experienced interactions that felt racially biased. The general manager rarely acknowledges members and recently approached so abruptly he nearly collided with me.
Equipment is missing or broken, towels are worn, bathrooms aren’t well maintained, and wipes are often empty. The only bright spots are a few exceptional trainers and instructors. Members and staff deserve better.

As a former member of this gym I can pretty much attest to many of the latest negative reviews. I went to this gym for over 3 years and I initially loved the amenities and offerings but over time I noticed a decline in the quality of service overall.
Equipment was often broken down and out of service for weeks or months at a time, especially during the renovations earlier this year which was a complete joke. All it seems they did were cosmetic changes and did not update much of the actual workout equipment.
Locker room was often dirty and other members just throwing items into open unlocked lockers or even left on the floor or underneath benches (i.e. bags, shoes, clothing, dirty towels etc). Theft was also a known issue with police presence every other day.
The gym was also constantly overcrowded, almost regardless of anytime you go, to the point where you cannot even get a productive workout in without people just sitting and hogging on machines/equipment for 20-30+ minutes.
My monthly membership fee was constantly being raised only to receive a subpar workout experience and it seems as though management couldn’t care less. As of July I’m no longer a member here and strongly suggest if you’re looking into joining LifeTime please consider all the negatives. Unless you like losing hundreds of dollars per month, I could not recommend them to anyone!

I visited on Sunday with my son and daughter, and unfortunately, our interaction with Ashley at the front desk was disappointing. She was noticeably rude and dismissive, which made the experience uncomfortable for all of us. As a parent, I expect a welcoming and professional attitude—especially when children are present. I hope the management takes steps to ensure better customer service moving forward.

I joined this gym because they had a children's program. I brought my son there maybe six or seven times before I called it quits because within ten minutes of being up stairs, I was getting calls. Out of those six or seven times he was only allowed to remain maybe 3 or 4? My son is nonverbal autistic. The calls I would get, were that he was constantly trying to exit out the emergency door, which is a safety hazard. I understand why it is a hazard, what I don't understand is why multiple caregivers are in there and not one cannot redirect a five year old. I understand that an autistic child is more of a handful than a "regular" child, but when I joined this gym I made it very clear that my son was autistic, nonverbal and does not exactly understand direct orders/rules. The lady signing me said that it would be no problem at all, the gym is skilled for all children, and he would be in great hands. That was not my experience. Even when I reached out to the director for the children's academy, I was met with pushback of a single teacher could not be in charge of one student. That is not what I was asking or suggesting. I hope in the future the kids academy will be equip for ALL kids.

I’ve been a member (on and off) at Lifetime Mount Laurel for about 10 years, and unfortunately, I’ve seen a major decline in quality over time.
First, I want to acknowledge that their childcare is truly the best in the area, this review is not about that. The caregivers are incredible, and the service is unmatched by any other gym locally.
That said, the overall upkeep of the gym has gone downhill. There’s almost always a wait for machines, even during off-peak hours. The bathrooms, especially the family locker room, have become increasingly unclean. Just yesterday I tried to report the poor condition of the toilets, but after waiting ten minutes for someone to speak to at the front desk, I gave up because I needed to get back to my daughter.
The recent renovation was disappointing. As a home builder myself, I can tell they used very cheap materials, and it shows—especially in the front entrance where the tile work is poorly done and looks like a makeshift patch job (because it is). The once inviting lounge area has been replaced with workstations, which makes the environment feel cold and overly serious. I understand catering to remote workers, but I think they missed an opportunity to balance work-friendly spaces with comfortable areas to relax, ESPECIALLY for families.
The most frustrating part is that costs have gone up, yet the quality and comfort have not kept pace. It’s hard not to feel taken advantage of as a long-time, loyal member.
For now, I’ll continue my membership because of the childcare, but I hope management takes a serious look at how this facility is being maintained and presented. The value simply isn’t there anymore.

Management and front desk staff leave a lot to be desired. My daughter, who is 16 could not pull up her card on her phone. She was attempting to get into the club with her membership and asked if she could use her phone number (which she has never had an issue doing in other club locations (in the 6 years we've had a membership). The staff member at the front desk looked at her with a snarky attitude and said "you don't have a card?" and walked away and helped another customer. Another front desk staff then looked up her number and let her in. I called the club manager and asked him for a returned call. Never received one from him, instead received a vm from someone else saying that no one is permitted in the gym unless they have the physical card or the app on their phone. FYI there is no physical card that is given when you get a membership, but they can print out a barcode that you can place on your phone, which they did not offer to do for my daughter. Not worth the price for this location. Additionally the front desk literally never picks up the phone. Again, I've never experienced that at other locations.

I love this gym but the front desk needs to pick up their phone. I’ve called multiple times in the last hour to simply ask about day pass inquiries for a family member. They need someone who can at least pick up their own members phone calls if I’m going to be paying this much for their services. So inconvenient. And the website or app doesn’t have this information?? But every other club location does.

It should be called “LieTime.” When I signed up, I was told they support small businesses and that I’d be able to connect with others and get help with business planning. That couldn’t be further from the truth—they absolutely do not support small businesses, and it's obvious they’re only in it for themselves. The steam room is constantly broken, amenities are frequently closed, and there’s always a wait if you want to get any kind of productive workout in. All of this for a hefty $199/month? Completely not worth it.

The current construction is AWFUL. I understand they are trying to renovate but it has been a HUGE nuisance for the price we pay with VERY limited treadmills, equipment constantly being moved around and blocked off. Completely ridiculous. And they keep thanking us for our understanding. How about giving us a credit? Or even a free meal at the cafe for the HUGE inconvenience. Such a greedy business!!!!

I have never had such a poor experience with leaving a gym. I keep receiving patronizing emails notifying me that I canceled my membership. Thank you captain obvious, I was there when I did it and I am well aware that I canceled my membership. How kind of you to remind me within these emails that as a result of canceling my membership I will be subjected to the so called wait list and that I pay such and such an amount less than what new members are paying. As if you're doing me some kind of favor. And yet what I pay is still a ludicrous amount to be paying for a subpar gym experience when I have to deal with an overcrowded gym 99% of the time, not to mention the current construction that has been going on for months and limiting the workout area even further. At this rate, this place should be offering some type of discount for all of the inconveniences it is imposing on its gym goers. As for the wait list, it's too little too late. What is the point of paying double the amount to barely be able to use equipment when I can go elsewhere for half the amount and get on any equipment I want all while getting my money's worth? Because that's exactly what I am doing now. And I am quite happy to be working out elsewhere.

Update #2: Finally received a response from corporate. Initially they incorrectly stated I would have access the whole month of March, but when I questioned this, they back peddled, and said actually no, just from 3/19-3/31 (cost of $155) I asked for a refund due to a hardship and they outright absolutely REFUSE. No exceptions. Worst customer service I have ever received from such a large corporation. The bottom line is, their target member is extraordinarily wealthy and would likely never even argue about a mere $155. That's why they make no exceptions. Greedy and not humanitarian in any sense. I am sad that I have patronized this company for so long.
have been a member of Life Time Fitness since 1999 when I joined in Troy, Michigan. Over the course of 25 years, I have paid $10's of thousands of dollars in membership fees, all to be treated extremely poorly by the manager at the Mt Laurel location, Alex Faillace.
I can no longer afford the dues that have become unattainable except for the wealthy or those who have expendable income. It is not feasible for a working class family to be able to afford this facility. And having it as part of my family all these years, that makes me sad.
I put my membership on HOLD. It doesn't reinstate until 3/19...17 days from now. However I was charged $155 on March 1st for the 12 days use in the future. I failed to cancel my membership in time to avoid the "future charges". I was literally less than 48 hours "too late"
I spoke to the manager, Alex and she outright refuses to refund me the $155 for the "future 12 days of access". I basically begged and pleaded, explained that I cannot afford this charge, apologized for missing the deadline to cancel, stated I cannot use the club. Alex the manager insisted that she REFUSES to refund my money and could not have cared any less about the situation. She said she was choosing to NOT make an exception. She refuses. When I said I would be calling corporate, she said it will come back to her and it was pointless.
I am appalled and disappointed with the lack of empathy from a company that makes millions of dollars a year in each location and that I personally have been a member of for decades.
Absolutely unacceptable customer service as a corporation. I will be contacting corporate and the credit card company to dispute the charge.
UPDATE: I opened a dispute through my credit card company. Also I see the standard computer generated response, if you actually read my review I already tried to speak directly with the GM of the Mt Laurel NJ location, Ms Alex Faillace and she was not willing to do anything about this.

Reasons to sign up:
- Bathroom amenities
Reasons not to sign up:
- Ongoing construction for 4+ months that has been 100% focused on incorporating massage chairs (that aren’t sanitized unless you get a good patron) and a studio for classes.
- - Logic would have been to suspend classes for 2 months to add more cardio equipment… I mean why wouldn’t you want more especially at the beginning of the year?!?
- Would you be more likely to see a trainer try to sell you on personal fitness or picking up a stray weight in the middle of the floor? Sell. Sell sell.
- The gym has started to offer reserved lockers as management is afraid to institute a lost and found. You would think if you were the person who was first in or last out from the gym, you would have an easy time finding a locker? Nope. Still more than 60% filled.
- Classes with concurrent personal training sessions that commandeer 75% of the free weight / squat racks with 2 of 8 potentially available for the rest of the gym.
If you made it this far, I would save your money and sign up at a local $15 gym until June or July. At one point this was a best in class gym now it’s just an oversubscribed fitness studio with sweaty massage chairs.

Gym floor is often not that clean and staff does not periodically go through and clean equipment. The number of people that go to the gym should justify hiring more cleaning staff to continuously roam and clean. In the middle of construction on workout floor, lots of cardio equipment taken away to facilitate that.

Good equipment and vibes. Also love the hot tub, steam room, and outdoor space in the summer.
Gym floor gets very crowded and you have to wait for machines unless you go late. Sometimes music is blasting so loud that you can’t hear your own music. Gym is really hot in the summer time.
Be aware of thefts. My sneakers got stolen in the locker room, so definitely never leave your shoes out while showering/ in sauna. Was told by employee not to hang my jacket on the hangers or leave water bottles, as they also get stolen.

Today I received a reminder phone call for a 1 o’clock tour with lifetime fitness, by a random tour guide. I signed up at Mount Laurel Life Time location to be on a waitlist a day ago. The receptionist Breanna, was amazing giving me descriptive detail on the facility. I immediately told the tour guide that I just got information that I had to train in North Jersey for work. At that point he tried to push me into signing up for a Red Bank New Jersey facility. His vibes were so weird. I told him that Mount Laurel lifetime, is close to my home. I wanted to join that gym if I enjoy the tour experience. Ultimately, my decision would be final once I completed my tour, and decided if that’s the gym for me or not. Yikes, immediately after disclosing that information upfront, this guy‘s behavior switched. I mean his personality darken drastically. His tone to me was now as if I was an opposition against him. He made me feel like my only value is to pay him for this tour or i’m worthless to be on a call with him. I mean he made it very clear he didn’t wanna give me a tour unless I was to pay him today. He made me feel like I would be completely wasting years off of his soul’s timeline, unless I pay him for this tour today! Moreover, I didn’t even make a choice yet. Honestly, the only thing I seen so far was the outside structure, and the front desk receptionist. Dude, how can I make a decision based on that? Basically, you have to be prepared to pay directly after you get your tour. He made me feel like I wouldn’t have time to talk it over with my husband or think about if the place felt right for me. He scared me so bad with his behavior over the phone. I immediately hung up after thanking him for calling me. That was the most creepiest, odd, awkward, energy draining phone call of my morning. Beware of this tour guide, seriously, his tone was like watching Puff Daddy aka The Diddler batter Cassie on that leaked hotel surveillance. It was bully energy being transferred over 5G. It was narcissistic too in a way like he controlled my decision making process. They show you around you’re bound to just pay. I’m certain there’s fitness facilities that will make me feel like a part of the family. That’s the type of facility I’m looking for. This energy was very dark. I screenshot the timestamp of the phone call in a photo attachment with this review. Unfortunately, this tour guide is failing his own gym.

We joined last year after some hesitation on my end, and we just canceled about two months ago. I personally did not like the vibe from the beginning. The facility itself is nice and the indoor aquatic center is the best thing that they have. The outdoor pool area is nice however, with all of the trees surrounding it, it gets very cold very quick. I find that the gym itself, and the classes, are very clicky. I also find the price to be a bit much and not worth it in my opinion. I was very happy to have canceled my membership and I’m much happier at a different gym facility.

This place has a couple bright spots but overall is an EXPENSIVE & EPIC disaster. I was sold on the outdoor pool and the overall amenities and was actually very happy at Life Time for the first 6 months…. then ALPHA MANIA RUINED IT.
ALPHA class is a fitness class that takes place in the MIDDLE of the fitness floor - 80% of the SQUAT RACKS, a dozen or so sets of dumbbell’s and alllllllll the free space …. GONE.
When I joined the gym, the class was only offered a couple days a week but then it became EVERY DAY at PRIME TIME B4 and after work; it’s all ALPHA….. IT RUINED THE WHOLE GYM EXEPERIENCE.
This is the most crowded gym I have ever been at, and the ALPHA class cuts the gym in half instantly. In addition, the massive crowds, half the gym being reserved for ALPHA, and the absolutely horrific gym etiquette make it impossible to have a legit workout. PPL just leave bags, phones, water bottles etc. all over equipment claiming that they are using it despite being on the other side of the gym for 15 mins…. this is the absolute normal here.
The sauna can be great but again it is absolutely MOBBED. The horrible gym and locker room etiquette extends into the sauna also as people are in there constantly dumping water and oils on the heater.
As stated above, the gym etiquette is horrible, and it gets worse in the locker room/sauna with dudes just walking around totally butt naked all over for no reason….
The positives would be the aquatics and the hours that the gym is open. The pool and hot tub are amazing and the hours worked for almost any gym scenario.
The water slides outside are amazing as well however the overall outdoor pool experience is not because it is sooooo soooooo sooooo cold out there. Record heat waves ripping through South Jersey but somehow the Life Time outdoor pool was unaffected by any and all heat.
This place could be great however it would certainly, at the very least, need new leadership to possibly attain that. I’ve spoken to the current leadership a few times and you see where that got me… at a better gym.

I loved this gym, but they've really let it go. The locker rooms are consistently dirty. The gym floor is over crowded. Made infinitely worse and more dangerous by the glorified cardio classes they have taking up the walkways, open space, and equipment. 3 times in the last month I've had to cut my workouts short because I ran out of time waiting for equipment. Classes will sometimes hold onto things for 2 plus hours and only use it for 10 minutes.
I'll ride out the summer but if it's not better by fall I'll be looking for a new gym for my whole family.
2 stars because the kids programming is still amazing. Jade is incredible.
This really is a great gym. Weights are laid out in a logical way with enough room in between to move. The child care is fantastic . The pools are beautiful and always open when I need them. Everything is clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and welcoming.
If your kids are the reason you haven't been to the gym in a while, lifetime is definitely worth the cost. My kids call the child care center silly school, they race to get ready to go and love the people working there. They have fun doing the kids classes and get nice and tired while I get a work out.

Dont recommend it if you have kids on the spectrum. Had to leave because they could not watch my child/ keep him from opening the exit door one time. He is autistic and they said I would have to find an additional person to watch him while I was at the gym. It's their " policy " that if they open a door you will have to leave. That rule does not support non-verbal children.

Went here when we lived in Mount Laurel and were one of the first ones to signed up when they open. With a family of 3 at the time the price for membership was a good ~300+. Decided to cut costs after a year even though we thoroughly enjoyed the gym. Fast forward to 4+ years and we no longer live in the area, but after trying so many gyms and classes decided to come back. Somehow with a family of 4 the cost is now ~$260 for 2 adults, a 3 year old, and a 5 year old. The amount of classes (yoga, cycling, Zumba, etc. )they offered is unparalleled to any other gyms out there. My wife was paying for individual classes and packages at other fitness centers that easily surpass the membership fee for a family of 4 at Lifetime. If you enjoyed taking classes instead of just working out by yourself, lifting free weights, etc., this is the fitness center for you. For others that do not like to take classes, I don't believe the membership fee is worth it. For us it is. My only complaint is wish they had more classes on the Saturdays and Sunday. It seems like the classes are limited to the mornings and not all day like the weekdays. Only wish it wasn't 35 minutes away
Absolutely hate the inside and outside pool enforcement. There’s always at least one life guard playing dictator. If you read the reviews and sort it by pool, all of the complaints are true! Some of them include kids playing at the water tables at the outside pool while I’m sitting at the nearest lounge chair less than their suppose 10 feet away. Life guard walks over say I have to be in the water with the kids. They are not in the water!… told we can’t use the mini water guns, no problem. Later on other kids were using even bigger water guns and saw that same life guard not enforcing it. Came over to confront them, got an attitude and ignored. Manager didn’t do anything when we told them… I’m in the inside pool with my two kids 4 and 7. One can swim and one cannot but with a life jacket on. I’m in the middle, life guard comes over and say I have to be 10 feet away from each kid. Ask the life guard why is this kid with a life jacket on about 5 years old in the water by himself while the parent is laying on the lounge chair 50 feet away reading a book and playing phone paying no attention to the kids. They were speechless. Went to the front desk and told them of the situation. Now the parent is mad at me and we was told we had to leave. All I’m saying is the pool inside and outside are run by a bunch of power trips who are very inconsistent!!! Many more complaints but every time I come to the inside and outside pool. It feels like I’m being police and treated like a child. Rules are being enforce inconsistently or just being made up by the police lifeguard
6/19/24 Since my last review my bill has also increase by $120 monthly even without making any changes to my account for a member of 4. It is now at $380

While my two toddlers were eating their snack poolside today, we were approached by an employee who told us we cannot eat snacks packed from home, and we must buy from the poolside cafe. He said next time they would make us throw our food out. This is complete and utter nonsense, how can you deny two young children from eating fruit. We have a special diet that your cafe cannot accommodate and I truly do not appreciate the way I was spoken to today while feeding my young children.

No real courts for pickleball , people play fake courts which are actually basketball courts.
They just put some low quality nets to play.
When they charge separately for pickle ball why not they make real courts.
We have play outside most of them because of that even though we have to pay

Update: I visited in May using one of my wife’s passes. She used to love this gym, but says the crowds that used to abate after folks gave up on New Year’s resolutions have not. Over the past couple of months, she began have trouble finding open classes, which never happened before. We found out that Class Pass offers a side door to classes without full membership…so now you can hardly sign up for classes because of this. You should not allow Class Pass membership holders to sign up a week ahead of time. They should have 12 hour advance sign up.
You have people complaining in their reviews about their free Medicare memberships having limited access to services. Others complain about increasing costs, saying that the “average person” can’t afford the club any more. Well…no one gets a free Maserati, and first class airplane seats are not affordable for the “average” person. There are plenty of gyms that cost a lot less that are affordable. Luxury isn’t supposed to a readily available product. That’s what exclusivity is about. Higher cost of entry. More services for fewer people. Higher standard of service. The trouble is that Lifetime doesn’t uphold the standard. This gym should not be a part of a free Medicaid program. There are plenty of available facilities out there. Lifetime shouldn’t have reasonable prices. That’s not the pitch.
My last visit solidified my decision to leave the club, and my wife and son will discontinue after pool season. This gym is ridiculously overcrowded and has become a mess. Double the membership price. Everyone pays. You can afford to lose half of your members if you counter with higher prices…a crowded gym, Saturday classes with 40 filled spots a wait list 15 deep 6 days in advance isn’t a luxury product. Lifetime doesn’t understand its own brand.
Honestly, an LA fitness or Planet Fitness membership and a local swim club membership accomplish the same thing at this point and together are less expensive. Lifetime’s leadership needs to talk to other luxury brand owners. Luxury isn’t a volume business nor a charity.
Original review: Lifetime has excellent facilities and great programming for kids, but it’s supposed to be relatively exclusive. Part of its appeal was that its high prices would deter crowds. Due to its layout, its resistance training area is relatively limited. There are usually dozens of empty machines and the indoor pool is un-crowded when the resistance training area is packed and classes are over-stuffed ti the point at which ventilation isn’t sufficient and it’s uncomfortable.
They have rules as well that they don’t enforce, such as folks gym bags on the gym floor. Some days, the gym floor is littered with them. Management should audit the various sections of the gym and expand or reduce those areas based on usage and space efficiency. I previously was a member of their downtown Bellevue, WA location, which was better managed in terms of space efficiency and appropriately priced. The crowds here are dense enough now that I cancelled my membership and invested what would have been a years’s worth of dues in a home gym. They need to double their dues and rethink their space management…tell the meat heads to put their bags in their lockers.

this gym is great if you want the group classes and the amenities. my favorite is the steam room. however they could do a MUCH better job with the weights/machines. it gets extremely crowded, and for a lot of the machines only one of them is available (for example, only 1 hip abduction machine, or only a couple leg press machines). i honestly think planet fitness does a better job regarding machines and weights. this gym is very fun but i think it’s too pricey for what it offers, and there’s so much improvement to be done with the weights and machines. loved the classes and amenities though! but there’s lots to be improved.

I don’t know what happened but since January the gym is overcrowded and the new members are low class and inconsiderate of others. The plates in the free weight area are all over the place and randomly stacked and mismatched. I have to wait for every machine. The staff needs to straighten up more. I end up going to my other gym to avoid it when I want a good workout. I do love the yoga studio, classes and the instructors are fantastic. I hope it doesn’t change.
Don’t get me started on the pool and lockerrooms. They need to make people shower before swimming and hot tub and enforce appropriate attire. More than once people get in the hot tub straight from the gym in gym shorts and underwear 🤢. Often the hot tub is full of loud people who have to curse when they talk. Lockerrooms are a mess. Towels everywhere, food wrappers, old bandaids in the shower idiots that don’t wear slides and spread athletes foot. What happened to this place? I’m thinking of quitting and finding a nicer place to swim.

Certain pool rules are absolutely ridiculous, and the lead working at the pool is insufferable. She was bossing around all visitors, threatening to revoke membership over nothing. Are you serious? Hire some individuals with at least an ounce of customer service skills. We don't come to the pool and pay this money to be at the mercy of the someone playing "boss" and "cop" over nonsense. Also, the administration completely disregards any complaints because the place is making too much money. For now.

Very unpleasant experience today at the club. Ridiculous new rules being very aggressively enforced by a specific pool staff member ( pool team leader) who was harassing multiple customers. This is not a premium experience as supposedly this club seeks to provide. Seems like the goal here is to discourage people from coming. The monthly dues are way too high to tolerate the attitude of the staff personnel. She definitely ruined our visit today!

This gym stands as the finest I've ever visited. Right from the welcoming atmosphere at the front desk, it ensures an unparalleled experience. The array of classes offered is simply fantastic, led by instructors who are not only professionals but also deeply knowledgeable about their disciplines. The personal training team is exceptional, providing insights into the form and science behind personal health. Additionally, the on-site day spa is a wonderful bonus, perfect for relaxation after a rigorous workout. Furthermore, the gym's café complements the overall experience with its reasonably priced and diverse selection of healthy options, emphasizing the gym's commitment to consistency in quality and service.

Last year the outside and inside pool were drained during either August or July. I don't recall why, but I found it very suspicious. Bumps started popping up on my child's skin around one of those month's; and continue to spread to and it's almost February 2024. The doctor said it's Molluscum Contagious and there is no cure! This Extremely Contagious virus is spread widely in pools! My child never had any skin issues until we became members of Lifetime and started attending their pool.
Lifetime drained both pools and they didn't explain why! I understand if it was due to a spread of a virus they may have lost customers, but it's their responsibility to make it known to their customers they may have been exposed to a serious, Contagious virus. The doctor said these bumps may continue to stay in her system for 18 months until her immune system realizes it's time to attack this virus. This gym used to be very clean but it's nowhere like it used to be.
I kinda lost respect for this Lifetime location.... No integrity! I am not sure if I will be using their pool this summer. Be caution ppl...

I have been a member for a year - every month the gym gets busier and busier regardless of hours you come (but my fee keeps also rising). I have not been able to use free weights as members monopolize the benches; the cardio machines are right next to loud speakers; nearly all machines are taken over; high schoolers being high schoolers; hot sauna that does not smell well.
I do like the club feel and the service. I love their steam sauna. But the cost is no longer justifying the experience.
If you want overcrowded experience with loud music and groups taking over parts of the floor (with trainers barking orders) and increasing cost, this is the pace is ideal for you.

I’ve been a member of this gym since before it broke ground and originally it was a GREAT gym that offered EVERYTHING you could ask for in one facility and still is. However I’ve noticed the elitism attitude and personality of some of the staff and trainers through the years. In the beginning I felt as though the gym was very inclusive to all ethnicities and backgrounds however I am seeing less and less inclusivity. I’m hoping the gym can get back to its roots!
If you are looking for a quiet and less crowded gym, this is not the place. There used to be pockets of down time in the gym but here lately no matter what time I’ve decided to go it’s ALWAYS crowded, not to mention the gym membership fees that seem to continue to increase! I am an advocate for “you pay for what you get” but….. in todays economy I can’t seem to justify spending that amount to anything of money for a family of 4 to members of an elite gym.
Nevertheless, it’s a great gym if you have it in your family budget but I’m hoping things will make a shift in the near future.

Wonderful experience overall.
But I have some small things that I am starting to see with staff, consistent condescending attitude. Towards conversation on services offered, it's always a it's not my job type of answer.
And my 6 family membership have been here when gym opened. Then covid. Then we returned been here ever since.
My 2nd issue is more a psychological aspect i love to have staff hiring that reflects black american trainers and pilates instructors and salon pros for my wife.
Lifetime is a lifestyle mindset village I look forward to Our facility reflecting some of all of Us. Here.
Other than that there is no gym Other than equinox that gives the amenities.
This is my 2 cents.

We have been members since day 1 of Lifetime Mount Laurel's opening. I thought it would be fun to play pickleball and turns out it's an amazing sport that I really enjoy! Problem is there are ZERO pickleball courts, my membership dues were raised for my family almost $40 per month just so I can play, and the glare on the "basketball " makeshift pickleball courts is so bad you can hardly see! One would think this is a major liability if someone gets hurt. Several of us Pickleball players have requested atleast a shade or something! I know I'm not the only member who feels this way and would think for $380 a month we would have proper courts to play on. Additionally the times to play are ridiculous. Most people work and can't play in the early afternoon or 7am! The night sessions are only Wednesday and Friday . The Wednesday sessions are so packed that you end up waiting up to 30 minutes before you can even play! Additionally there is hardly any room to sit so you are practically invading one of the courts. It would be nice to offer more times from 4pm on so more people can participate and actually get a chance to play, especially the many parents who have children and need to use the Kids Academy. Very disappointed in Lifetime, I absolutely LOVE this place, this is the BEST club in South Jersey and I would recommend to everyone. But the Pickleball definitely needs an overhaul. The guys who run it are AMAZING but seems like their hands are tied when it comes to the logistics. Lifetime, PLEASE make us some courts as promised!!

Went on Labor Day for a class at 10am. Very busy but always clean, and filled with plenty of staff members. Even though it was a very busy time, there was plenty of room, lots of open equipment, and it did not feel cramped.
Update August 2023:
Been a member for over a year and we absolutely love this place. We are looking to move to another state and won’t consider a property that doesn’t have a Life Time within a 30 minute ride. We love the classes, the equipment, the staff, the people! Home away from home.

I love the gym but wouldn’t have signed up if I knew the policy when caring for grandchildren for the summer. You will not be able to bring them more than once a month. Because I have my granddaughter for part of the summer, other than me signing her up for the camp, I can’t bring her. The gym is too expense to not be able to use it. Even with the consent form signed by her mother, that would allow me to bring her, I can’t even drop her off at one of the kids classes while I work out. There is not even an option to pay to drop her off. I am pretty much forced to cancel my membership.
Update; Today August 17, 2023 my brother and I went to the Mt. Laurel location because I wanted to rejoin and was trying to get my brother to join with me but he wanted to see the facility first. I was told very nicely by the young lady at the front desk that there was no one available to give him a tour. Was he supposed to join without seeing the place or was he not going to be able to join unless he made an appointment. He may have wanted to join today but this was a turnoff for him and me as well.

I was a member back before the lock down. They let people close their membership. I paid $150 with added alpha classes .I left a huge review how wonderful this place is. I just looked to join again and wow 😮. They advise tennis courts in pickle ball. I do not believe at this location has that.
And now it’s$ 169, but my sister has her family there just received a letter that they raising the cost to $250 for new members. It’s absolutely outrageous.
Seems to me by the letter , they said to control membership volume ,and membership traffic.
I get it they have a lot of amenities. Almost a country club setting is what they are striving for, by making it impossible for the average person to join. (So much for wanting to help people stay healthy)
We are capable but not will to as a person like me with no children, a Husband that doesn’t go to the gym. That being said, I would never utilize the outside pool because ,I can’t bring my Her husband unless he’s a member. I won’t utilize a child care definitely won’t utilize the basketball.
I would utilize the Pickleball and tennis courts that they say they have but they are not there!!!!
I loved it there so much I drove from Hammonton New Jersey. 40 min
It’s a shame you can’t just have different kinds of memberships.
I can’t just justify the cost!
Looks like I’ll be going a little closer to home, and just adding a couple of classes at additional charge and I will still be saving half of the membership here.
I was really looking forward to going back. But sometimes things happen for a reason . Now off to look at places closer to home ..

Very limited lanes for adults. They have swim team in the outside lap pool and swim lessons in the indoor lap pool everyday from 5:45-7:00pm. If you're joining to use the pool, just know that there's only one or two lanes open between both pools after work M-F, so your opportunities to swim are slim. It's a very kid/family focused club, keep that in mind.

Very rude staff at Kids day care center. They implement weird rules on the fly to make your life tough.
"If you do not arrive by 5:30pm to check in your children for the event you are forfeiting your spot to a waitlisted participant"
If you are so punctual, you should have started the event at 5.30 pm, the kids were not even ready by the time we arrived and they still denied entry.
She (staff at Parents night out event) does not know how to talk to a customer, I was given manager contact and she was not reachable. Finally a person from the front desk showed up and talks to me who has no idea what the kids academy rules are 😔😔
Please dont run this program when you have no idea how to manage it.
No manager on duty!!!!! Are you kidding me????
Why do you even ask such favor from families
"While we would love to have your child(ren) join us every Saturday, our events are now offered every week to allow more children this opportunity of joining us for some fun. We ask that you choose ONE out of the two “same themed” events to attend a month"

In the women’s locker room during the times I come for class (6 pm) it is usually a mad house with barely any towels and just is crazy. But there was a young lady there who I had rarely ever seen before who kept the locker room looking amazing! Towels were stacked so perfect, bathroom was to die for, and the things in the counter fully stocked! I did not get her name, however. She had curly hair, faded dark red in her hair, and was super tall with a beaming smile! I am so happy with this! Made my night!

I called mount laurel LT to see if I could come in for the day and try out the club. They told me I couldn’t unless I pay $40. It’s crazy how money hungry they are. I’ve given thousands throughout the year with my family membership of 5 and they couldn’t let me in just to try it out before signing up for 1 day!!! It really turned me off. I had Worst experience my daughter was hit in the nose twice in a month had a bloody nose had to send her to urgent care for x rays . Nobody followed up to see if she was ok no call from general manager . A follow up call would have been nice . The management has no concern about customers . I sat and waited to speak to him and when he came he asked me to come back and set an appointment to speak to him . I’m a working single mom and that was the only time I could talk . The other manager of the kids club also spoke down to me . I left my wallet at my place of business and I didn’t have ID to pick up my daughter .when I got there I realized I forgot it and they told me I couldn’t get her in front of my daughter after they called her over and said your mom is here . They have my photo in the system and all my info . My daughter was so upset and scared I couldn’t take her home . I do understand protocol and safety but they didn’t care about how they handled the situation. They told me to take a picture of my license and keep it in my phone ?? I would never do that since people can steel your identity and the phone isn’t the safest place to keep that info .

The staff is excellent, the facility is maintained to the highest degree and the number and variety of equipment is outstanding. Best gym I've belonged to my 42 years of gym-going 😄

First, Gympass made this possible and affordable. The monthly membership fees are worth every penny. The accessibility to be in a facility that opens from 0500-late evenings is commendable. The spotless cleanliness and the staff are awesome. My only wish is Lifetime would do a national program for veterans as they raise money for kids. As a disabled veteran, coming here makes me feel a part of a healthier life style. Nutrition and physical coaching has been effective, in addition to the apps that help and keeps you focused on fitness. The amenities are Spa level and again, it’s been very supportive. My trainer is also a veteran, which made me feel at home as well!

It's a really good gym. We started when they were in bronze tier. They switched to silver which means $$$. We are reconsidering our membership a bit now.

I just started and it’s been great! There’s a huge gym, pool, and newly updated equipment, plus yoga, weights room, and lots of classes. We mostly chose lifetime for daycare while we gym. How cool 😎 is that! Best way to destress. Yes, it’s expensive and more expensive than other gyms but for families, they have the family plan which is about $200/month for for both my husband and I and our 1 year old, prices change as they age. Considering I spend about $200/week on daycare, $40/month for 1 year old childcare for 2 hrs/day is a steal. You don’t have to feel bad about pampering yourself at the spa, going swimming, or working out for a bit, because they’ve got a staff to take care of your kiddo. Staff have been friendly and helpful as well. Showers too provide shampoo, conditioner, bodywash. The place is pretty much all inclusive.
