The first privately owned gym I visited asa teenager.

Founded by Professional Bodybuilder Joe Dodd who is now deceased.

Well recognized in the genre and still a place to train for many in the area.

Lots of equipment and plenty of free weights for just about everyone.

Beverages and liquid supplements available for purchase.

Located on a well travelled state road. Small parking lot and street parking available.

The interior is dated but adds to the mystique with lots of equipment which can give the impression of being cramped.

Joe was an antique collector which shows in the decor.

Cardiovascular machines such as treadmills are available as well as a few pieces of rowing and biking equipment.

I used to go there off and on back in the 80s and 90s and really liked Joe Dodd. The reason for the 1 star is I stopped in there 5 years ago. I did not know at the time that Joe had passed. This lady who I assume is his widow was at the main desk and when I asked if I could look around she would not even let me in. She was not friendly towards me at all. on top of that the gym looked very dark and dreary. Like some light had gone out in it. I knew something was off. A few days later I looked online and found out Joe had passed.
