I’ve been working out at The Max in Cranford since September, and it’s been an amazing experience!

The classes cater to all fitness levels, and the instructors do a great job of adjusting workouts to individual capabilities and goals. The energy in the room is contagious—the music is always on point, and the instructors bring so much fun and motivation.

But what truly sets The Max apart is the community. Everyone is so supportive and welcoming, making it a place I actually look forward to going to. If you’re looking for a workout program that challenges you while making you feel part of a team, this is the place!!

I love the Max of Cranford! The trainers ensure everyone is working out to their potential and extremely motivating. The trainers also make the classes fun. I am on week 3 of a 10 week challenge. It was very easy to sign up and get in touch with the staff when I have questions. So far, it's been a great mix of body weight and weighted exercises and the instructors give modifications if you have weaknesses or injuries so you can still do the work to get stronger. I really appreciate the flexibility in session times offered and the ability to make last minute changes so I can still get my workout in when something comes up. Usually about 15-20 people in a class. Already I have gone from a 10 sec plank to almost a 40 sec hold! There are a lot of friendly folks and the instructors learn your name and face quickly, and that keeps the motivation to go up for me. Give Max Challenge Cranford a try!

My son's challenge just started...each day he comes home hurting but learned new things and smiling ear to ear that he's doing something for himself. The manager Dave I have seen his own fitness success journey and their whole staff works with you to ensure you stay within your goals and support you in any way. You feel like you join a group of like minded people and all look out for one another. It's pricier than a gym but it's a personal goal oriented place. You are worth it!

All the coaches I have encountered are phenomenal physical trainers and very knowledgeable about preparing nutritious meal planning.
Members and Crew alike are all working together towards our wellness goals collectively to be the best version of ourselves individually. No competition, No judging but a warm friendly atmosphere.
Every day I look forward to working out with my new found friends because I feel so much healthier, stronger and flexible and pain free the inflammation in my body has reduced tremendously since being a member of THE MAX Challenge; looking forward to being a lifetime member because it’s the best investment I have ever made.

I originally joined the Max Challenge of Cranford in November 2019 and knew immediately I could succeed here. The trainers are great, the nutrition program is easy to follow and the 45 minute classes are suited for all levels. I joined the MAX Challenge of Cranford after I won a 10 week challenge and it was one of the best things that could have ever happened for me. After suffering from M.S. for over 20 years, I was overweight, depressed and unmotivated. The MAX isn’t just a gym, it’s a place where you are allowed to workout at your own pace, with easy to follow nutrition. All the trainers are wonderful and are always available for whatever questions you may have. You become part of a family with constant motivation and encouragement from the other members. From the workouts, ease of nutrition tracking and just the entire atmosphere, it makes you want to come back every day! As member for just over 2 years, I’m 50 lbs down, I have more energy, I eat healthier and it has helped my health overall! There are so many positives joining The Max Challenge. They offer multiple early morning classes and afternoon classes that fit people’s work schedules. Next everyone in the class realizes that they are pretty much there for the same thing, so in addition to the energetic fitness coaches everyone is encouraging & supportive of each other. Members are of all age and sizes so you can easily fit right in. I’m glad my wife asked me to join with her. I just ended my week 5 and already noticing a difference in my physique and energy! Looking forward to my end result.

Cranford group is amazing. I was hesitant about joining another gym however, these classes are like family. I can honestly say this is a zero judgment zone. The Max has exceeded my expectations. The members are a community that checks up on each other when you are missing for a few days. The instructors will text you if you are missing a few days! Accountability is there and it’s an important part of any fitness journey. Although the weekly schedule stays the same the movements change which I also find to be very important in order not to stay stagnant and as you involve in your fitness journey. It’s also beginner friendly because they always offer modifications. The modifications are not only for beginners but for days were you need it because who knows maybe you are sore from the last day! You can also get lighter or heavier weights , there is no pressure on that end. The music changes up which I appreciate so that it does not only cater to one demographic or age group. There is also days in the challenge where you are given the opportunity to self reflect on your goals beyond fitness. The instructors always end the day with positive affirmations and quotes leaving you ready to take on your day. They are very flexible and patient. 10/10 recommend, personal fitness without the price tag!

There are so many great things to say about The Max Challenge where could I possibly even start! I began my 10 Week challenge 6 months prior to my wedding looking for a change in how I looked and felt mentally and physically and let me tell you Max did exactly that! The coaches are so motivating and always ensuring your form is correct and that they are challenging you. The nutrition plan is easy to follow and prepares you for each new stage. You are never left feeling hungry which was always an issue with other diets and plans I have tried. I took the free class at the MAX in Cranford, thinking this would be like any other workout class that I would do once or twice and get bored. Boy was I wrong ! You feel the energy once you enter and the warm smiles welcoming you is amazing. I'll never forget how kind the legacy members were with me on my first day/s. Teaching me form, encouraging me and welcoming me to the class. When I wanted to quit or thought I couldn't do it the trainers speak to you and give you that motivation you so desperately lack when you're tired and feel defeated. Ooh did I mention I do a 5am class ? Me !! A non-morning person ! Lol. Yes, that is how much I enjoy it. I make sure to get my workout in before work since then life happens and my son owns my time after work. Each class is offered multiple times throughout the day to make sure to fit into everyone's busy schedule. I have lost inches and pounds during this challenge. But most of all I have learned how to eat the proper foods and enjoy it. It's not a diet for me ! I eat food that I enjoy and still get a to indulge every now and then. I can play soccer with my son! To me, that is priceless and I couldn't have gotten here without the MAX AT CRANFORD . Thank you!!

My mom had a kidney transplant and my dad donated a kidney on her behalf so she could receive a kidney from someone else- I decided to join the Max the very next day despite my fears, worries, excuses, etc. After speaking with my neighbor and Marissa at the Max, I decided because my mom was given a second chance at life, I needed to also prioritize my own health so that we're both around for a long time. I have two young kids and want to lead by example with fitness and health. The staff has been so compassionate, understanding, supportive and patient with me. The workouts are both challenging and rewarding. This was the absolute best decision I've made in a very long time.

The Max Challenge of Cranford is AMAZING and the results are PROOF that “it” just works! By “it” I am referring to the entirety of the program. The workouts, the trainers, the nutrition, the encouragement, the constant one on on. The is not a big box gym where you will be forgotten about and lost in a crowd. You will have big life changing results here. The workout classes are instructed by knowledgeable, professional trainers that go above and beyond with modifications for all levels of training, which is a benefit for my painful knees. With modifications the classes can feel like intense HIIT or you can literally step it out step by step at your pace. The trainers explain in detail step by step every step of the way. And they will even repeat instructions for people like me that forget right after I’ve been told what to do. There is zero judgement and every class, every trainer, every member is rooting for you to be your best self. The nutrition is explained in detail and there are many groups to belong to in order to get recipes to always know you’re on track making the best decisions for your own personal best results. You should definitely give it a whirl! You will be welcomed with open arms and they will provide everything for you! You are amazing and I believe in you ~ believe you can and you’re halfway there! Definitely do not pass up the opportunity to change your life forever!

Max challenge of cranford is seriously the best! I’ve tried so many other fitness centers but this place is the only one that’s ever worked for me. The instructors are all so encouraging and the workouts change daily— which I love! They offer many class times starting as early as 5am and the community they have built is amazing. I’ve made such great friends at this fitness center- while also reaching my fitness goals that I thought I’d never achieve. The nutrition plan is also super easy to follow and I’m never left hungry. I still get to eat things I enjoy and lose the weight. My only regret is that I didn’t join sooner!!!!!!

I love the fact that you offer weekend classes when there is a weather related cancellation of any classes. Also like the legacy weekend classes. These weekend classes allows us to make up for a skipped day. I have been to one other Max location and comparatively this one is much bigger, better equipment wise and the workouts itself are much better in quality.

I am so grateful for the MAX Challenge. People don't need "gyms" - they need to exercise together in specific routines that work the right muscles on the right day. This amazing program offers classes all morning on the hour, starting at 5 am (no excuses!) and the last class is 8:15 pm. Every. Day. You go in for a 45 minute, well-thought-out-by-a-fitness-expert, class and then high five everyone and go home. After a few weeks, you are in shape, have lots of energy and seeing new muscles pop up. No saunas, machines or other things we don't need. This program is set up so that they aren't overworking a particular area and they know what the next day's class should be, based on the nature of the class the night before. I love this place. No more gyms for me. Legacy member forever!

I love the Max challenge because it actually challenges you to do your best and give it your all. The meal plan works as well I didn't say diet I said meal plan. It's a life style change not just a few weeks of dieting. I recommend the Max plan to anyone that is serious about looking their best.

The friendliness of the instructor. How they had products to buy. They stayed after to answer any questions. They had great music. Every max class I go to and in any site I attend it's always the same.....like visiting family. We are all in this challenge together.

I like the motivation and encouragement you get from the trainers and Maxers. You can't beat the personal attention you get, knowing if you are not doing an exercise correctly, you won't get hurt. I see mostly the same people every day and the friendship and support is crucial to success. The nutritional information and web page is easy to use and the recipes and exercise lists on the FB page is a great resource. I no longer dread going to the gym!
