I signed up for the Max challenge of Manalapan a month ago and I’ve been loving it. The instructors are great and take the time to explain everything. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly. The workouts are challenging but not intimidating because there are always modifications. I like the added focus on nutrition with helpful tips and resources. The Max is my favorite thing that I do every day, just for ME. I happen to take the 5:00 a.m. classes, because I work in NY - we are a tight group of dedicated, fun-loving, early birds - and the love and respect shared for each other’s perseverance - is extraordinary.

Our instructor, Rada, is trained in so many aspects of health and wellness, and her expertise and true dedication are on display in every class. Not to mention - she’s got some sick DJ skills, and keeps us all smiling and really feeling the beat!

Anyone, at any level of fitness, can benefit from the Max. Despite years of Legacy membership behind us, we are all rookies again, on day one of a 10-week challenge. We brainstorm new goals, discuss and find solutions to potential challenges, take the opportunity to perfect our form, and prepare to push PAST our expectations. We don’t just have 1 trainer during a class - we have a team of leaders offering nutrition counseling, easy recipes, delicious samples, an interactive app, and our 5 or 6 days of easy-to-follow workouts to guide us toward success. As long as you show up for yourself, the rest is simple.

I have been on all the diets, a member of all the gyms, and bought every piece of home-gym equipment over the past 20+ years… but the Max is where this busy, working mom goes to spend the freshest part of the day with the most awesome 5:00 a.m. team - and I can tell you from my own experience - it WORKS!!

I was having trouble committing to a workout routine with my busy work schedule. Max has many different class schedules most people can find something that fits into their day. The classes can be challenging but you work at your own pace and to your own ability. The instructors are very motivating and get you to push yourself.

I joined Max Fitness February 1 this year, 2024. I have been going five times a week, and I love it. People are friendly, the facility is clean, the music is good & varied for the workouts, and for the times that I go, the instructors are terrific ( Mary, Jenn, Eric, Rada). Each day, the workouts have been different ( I hate when the workout is repetitive ). I’ve lost 12 lbs, with the combo of exercise & diet, and I feel gooooood! Wish I had found this place sooner☺️ PS~~I’m 74.

I went back the Max after several years because I needed a more motivational exercise plan and it is just what I needed. The comraderie between instructors and members is second to none. Can’t even describe the positivity of the work out. It’s tough when you first start out but the best type of tough you ever want to encounter. It’s so worth it not just for the strength but the confidence you gain from being consistent. The weight turns to muscle and you body goes through recomposition. If you have trouble understanding the nutrition portion they will explain it and take their time so you get it. I think this should be part of everyone’s days. I love the kickboxing on Fridays!!

Great facility to help you do your best. I have been attending The Max for a little less than a year now, and I am so glad my friend got me into it. First off, the facilities are very clean and they adhere to the covid cleaning protocols. There are a variety of classes to chose from and all of the instructors are so well taught. The classes target all of the areas of the body and are different each day. All of the exercises can be modified depending on your needs. I highly recco them.

I joined the max challenge about year and half ago. I had just became over 50 and not happy with my body and self esteem. I knew I needed to do something. My friend told me about the max and I tried it. The nutrition and the classes have been a game changer. I’m down 26 lbs from and I feel incredible. I’m smaller in size than I was before my wedding. I was looking for a gym to join & help to get me motivated to work out. Multiple people on Facebook suggested THE MAX in manalapan & i really do love it! I started 2 weeks ago and everyone, members & trainers, are so helpful and nice! The trainers give modifications for every exercise so you're not attempting to do workouts that your body is not ready for. Also, you don't feel out of place working out as there are both men & women of all ages & sizes! I love that they have multiple classes a day to accommodate with my crazy schedule too! If you keep doing the same thing, you’re going to get the same results. How many times have you started a new gym only to quit because there were no results. In my case the “no results” were because of lack of motivation and not knowing what I was doing. I dreaded going.

I love the Max Challenge of Manalapan! I joined over 5 years ago and I’ve lost over 45 lbs. The Max Challenge of Manalapan is more than just a gym. It is a total lifestyle program. Our workouts are fun - the 45 minute classes go by super fast. Each day the workouts focus on different areas of the body. Monday and Wednesday are cardio days. Tuesday is upper body strength training. Thursday is lower body strength training. Friday is kickboxing - one of my favorite days. The instructors are great - they promote healthy eating and positive thinking. There is a great sense of community and support for each other among the members. I’ve made some great friends at the gym. I can’t say enough great things about this program. I look forward to my workouts and seeing my friends each morning.

I have been a member of the Max of Manalapan family for 2 years now. It is a part of my day each and every day. In my two years I have met so many amazing friends starting from the owners to the staff and all of the members. Everyone welcomes you with open arms. I am the member that was new to the area and nervous about not knowing anyone and within days couldn’t imagine my
day starting anywhere else. I have seen members who have never worked out before and felt uneasy about just walking through the doors now running in those doors with the biggest smiles!! Most recently I saw a member that’s fairly new go on vacation and show up on the zoom class because she didn’t want to miss the class!!! For me that says a lot about this facility. I have been part of the max challenge of manalapan for a year and a half now and I am currently down 91lbs! I thought once the gym closed with this whole thing I would go off track and gain weight. Thanks to the amazing virtual workouts and constant support of the staff and members I am doing better than ever! I started my first challenge in April 2019 after feeling that I needed to do something to get healthy. In those 10 weeks I gained my physical and mental health back. The program is so easy to use and you’re not learning a diet, you are learning a new healthy lifestyle. I really love the sense of family you get at the Max. I’ve been a member of the Max since 2016! I started out in Bay Ridge Brooklyn and moved to Manalapan in 2017. I was scared of starting at a new center because Bay Ridge Max became my family. I thought there’s no way possible I will find the same thing in Manalapan. It’s unusual to find a place where people aren’t judging you or staring at you or trying to out do you. Well I was wrong! The staff welcomed me with open arms. They motivated and supported me. I’m not saying my journey has been perfect. I have had my up and downs. When I was down and not going as much Mary or Melissa would be right on the phone asking where I’ve been or how I was doing. Encouraging me to get my butt back there and work with them together to reach my goals. You don’t get that support at any other gym. Your classmates become your friends. You push through the workouts together. Helping one another. It becomes a fun environment and not one you dread going to. I have fallen off the track but keep telling myself to never look back and make the change to move forward with the support of the Max of Manalapan I know I will meet my goals once again! If your looking for a gym that doesn’t judge and supports you along the way the Max of Manalapan or I believe any Max is the way to go! Take it to the Max!

My first 10 week challenge was a gift from my 19 year old son who knew I was trying to find a fitness program that would work for me that I could stick with it. I’m so grateful for that awesome gift! Max is such a welcoming, friendly place from the start and soon becomes family ❤️ the instructors are caring and awesome! the facility is nice & it challenges you with different workouts daily that you can go at your own pace. I don't know where to begin. Max fitness is everything you could ever want for any level of fitness you think you are. I came to max scared and thought it was going to be a chore. WAS I WRONG! The staff is A++++ and I mean the complete staff. I never took a class with a different instructor that didn't motivate me or help me when I was struggling. Max has a great workout routine that keeps your body pushing and never lets you plateau. If you have a hard time self-starting, being motivated, afraid, scared of the gym, don't know how to work out COME TO MAX. All you have to do is get there and they take care of the rest.

Thanks, Max for helping me understand that "I am important" and 45 minutes a day can help me achieve great results!

Every day is something new and the results are bodies that are leaner, stronger and healthier. The nutrition is based on clean eating and is simple to follow.
