Great facility if you don't like the "big gym" atmosphere. Nice space with plenty of equipment and activities. Also, one stop shopping for supplements and such. James is a certified personal trainer and works with you individually focusing on your needs and goals. If you "wake up" and "show up" you will definitely be stronger and more fit, along with continual nutrition advice and follow-up. He will educate you on "how" to work out properly without hurting yourself and achieving results. The body scan machine is state of the art - definitely gives you the whole picture of your physique - driving you to look better and get healthier! Overall, a great experience!

I am a 77 year woman, and last year I was feeling overall not very well. Hadn’t exercised in ages and I was on the path to becoming really feeble. Found James Jefferson at Medford Core, and he designed a training program for me. A year later, and I couldn’t be happier with the state of my fitness! I can now do all my activities, shop, cook, clean the house, walk the dog, without even taking a break. My strength and stamina is like a 50 year old. A few years ago I met with James and started on my journey to lose weight and gain body strength. James has helped me do this. He is a wonderful, caring person who adapts your program as needed. I've had a few setbacks along the way, but through his encouragement and guidance I'm getting back on track.
His facility is clean with modern, easy to use equipment. I really enjoy working out with James as my personal trainer and not just going to a gym and not really knowing what to do on what machines and potentially hurting myself.
I highly recommend James and Medford Core. If you are unsure, you owe it to yourself to at least meet with him and listen to what he can offer you as a weight loss program.

Medford Core is far from your average gym. I joined Medford Core when I moved to the area almost two years ago, and I can’t imagine my mornings without training with James and the morning crew. After 35+ years of running I had to give it up as I could no longer run through the pain, back pain specifically.
After becoming a grandmother, I was devastated to realize that I was unable to pick up my grandsons, get up and down off the floor or simply keep up without intense back pain.

Several months ago I took the leap and met with James to discuss getting back in shape. I was totally sedentary with the exception of occasional bike rides and kayak outings, so to say the idea of working out with a personal trainer was intimidating at my fitness level would be a major understatement. But James made it possible. He started me off light and we slowly but continuously increased weight, reps and difficulty with each session. As a woman feeling embarrassed of my physical shape, I had the attitude of no pain no gain – keeping my aches and pains to myself and pushing through. But James is a physical and psychological coach. He wants you to tell him if something is uncomfortable so that he can offer a modification and prevent injury. If you feel sluggish, he will use his nutrition expertise to suggest increasing or decreasing certain foods in your diet. He monitors everything you eat, every single day, whether you are training that day or not. And he provides feedback on each meal. But most importantly, he provides you with the tools you need to take better care of yourself and be the best version of you. Because of my training sessions I am stronger physically and more focused. My confidence has increased and I look forward to new physical challenges. Personal trainers aren’t just for people who work out a lot. I highly recommend Medford Core no matter your fitness level to get to a better version of yourself.

I whole heartedly recommend James and Medford Core Personal Training! I’m a 64 year old male, I’ve worked out in gyms for many years and ride my Peloton. When Covid came upon us most everything stopped. After 20 months of being indoors with my Peloton it was time to get back to working out, but I wanted more than just a gym. I was looking for a good jumpstart to get back into the shape I was in prior to Covid, and to take my workouts and overall fitness to the next level. I’ve driven past Medford Core countless times over the years, but back in April 2022 I made the decision to stop in and see what this place was about. I'm a senior citizen who decided to exercise with a personal trainer as a 2015 New Year resolution. It is 5 years later and I am still working out with James Jefferson and loving it. He knows just what I need to keep me fit and strong.
Right now with Covid-19 still in the picture, I am working out with James on Face Time. I'm doing two days of upper body, two days of lower body and one day of calisthenics each week. It's an incredible way to start each weekday.
I look forward to going back to Medford Core in person as soon as I feel safe enough to do so. It's a friendly, accepting, thoroughly enjoyable place to workout.

I just completed my initial month with James & Nicole and I'm excited to continue my training. The results over the last month have been great and I know will only get better. The best part of the training is the accountability that many trainers say they are going to hold you to but most do not follow through. James does. Since starting I have been working on my diet, beyond not eating chocolate chip cookies but working on the correct macros for long term success and I know that if I slip up I will have to answer to James. After 2 years of driving past and thinking I should stop in .. I finally did. It was the smartest decision I’ve ever made. Immediately, I was welcomed into our fitness family, without judgement. I was given the guidance I needed to start a weight loss and fitness journey I wasn’t able to achieve the last 46 years of my life, after numerous attempts. Medford Core also offers a variety of classes. Strength & Tone, Stretch & Core, Senior Balance & Strength, and Ballet Bar and Tone. Classes are limited to 5 people, so you feel like your individual needs are being achieved.
