ACTIVE MEMBER SINCE 2023 I love this gym but, to echo the sentiments of another reviewer, the men's locker room needs work. Many of the lockers are not working and have broken labels on them. This has been the case for several months with situation worsening. I have to check nearly 3 or 4 lockers (excluding broken labeled lockers) to find one that works. It's very simple, if you can't fix the silly number pads, then please just add latches so we can lock them with our own locks. This is a feature of nearly all gyms. The ability to secure one's belongings is super basic. Still, even despite this, I highly recommend the sports club.

My review is only about the gym equipment.
(8/2025) Top notch weight lifting equipment from Life fitness, Legend, hammer strength and arsenal strength. Its a mixture of plate loaded and weight stack pieces to go around. However, Dumbells only go up to 100lb. I prefer all gyms to have 200lb. Dumbell minimum, but hey, it is what it is.
My favorite piece is the Legend Westside Barbell Belt Squat station designed by Louie Simmons. Not alot of gyms carry this. In addition, the arsenal strength standing press station, incline chest fly and row stations.
Summary of my pros, cons and nit picks:
Pros: top notch equipment and mix of weight stack and plate loaded.
Cons: dumbells only go up to 100lb.
Nit picks: missing a weight stack chest press station, and could use a lying leg press station with a weight stack. Preferrably from Prime Fitness Manufacturer.
Overall, its a solid gym that'll cater to every level of fitness. I follow a high intensity/heavy duty protocol with my weight training. The equipment satisfies what I need to do in the facility.

Many of my sistas switched here from Spa 23 in Wayne. It's about the same for me. Seems everyone here has been to Shotsie's for his Jersey Boy tattoo magic. Typical Passaic working class vibe. With those massive tatts, swinging gold chains and "joisey class" my dad says its just like the old sun tan lake on 23. Same owner? Really happy it's not like a resort with those snobby New Yorkers. Jersey pride! Lov'in it here!

Have had a membership for several years now because it is a great facility. However, the hours for the gym , the pools, sauna, and steam rooms are not so great anymore especially for commuters, The 8 am pool opening and the 9pm gym closure are disappointing. No one who works 9-5 can use the pools weekday mornings whether or not they have a commute and 10 pm is the earliest a gym should close. Any savings of closing at 9pm cannot be worth the inconvenience of the members and hotel guests. At minimum, keep the gym open to 10 pm on the weekends as you do for the pools. Other than the later opening pool hours and 9 pm closing, being a member here is a very positive experience.

Best gym membership value in the area of you're in need of variety. Shared with hotel guests so sometimes excessively busy. The heated outdoor pool is nice year round. Primary complaint which could warrant going to 3 stars, particularly when busy with many children (or hotel guests drinking) who might "dirty the pool water", excessive chlorine is used. Sometimes so much my skin itches for hours afterwards, and twice actually burned all the hair off my arms, chest and legs... Not cool. Personally, I minimize or entirely avoid the outdoor heated pool and hot tubs to avoid that experience again.

Sports club 4 stars, Organization 1 star. I requested a refund several times and here we are 2 months later and still no refund and no contact. My 14 year old grandson and I joined, on the 5th day we were informed under 16 is not permitted to use certain facilities. The Sales rep had no clue. I posted a 1 star review to hopefully get a response. I received a response and promptly received a refund. The Club is really 4 star, I loved it, they give a couple free passes and 20 % of the restaurant. once my grandson turns 16 we will rejoin.

my only complaint is the water but thats important for a gym. there's super old water fountains and the water comes out white. who knows what's in it and it takes forever to fill a bottle and you have to tilt it just right. when I mentioned it at the front desk I was basically told everyone here is rich and that they all have their own fancy water at home. well I don't. and I'm sure I'm not the only person who could use a refill now and then. for such a fancy gym the water is not up to par. leaving this review hoping someone will hear me out. we pay a lot to be here and we deserve drinkable water to keep us hydrated. please add a refilling station like most gyms have. for instance I know they have one at my rock gym gravity vault in upper saddle river. reduces waste too. thank you for your time.

The place was very clean, including the inside and outside pool. The showers were nice, only thing is that you have to bring your own towel. Locker room is spacious. Definetly will go back for the hot pools π

I like the classes so tried so far. I don't like having to wait in line to scan in and that you need a wristband for the pool. If you are a member it shouldn't matter where you go. Locker rooms can use a sweeping for sure.

Update: The lockers have been fixed, which is great. However, so disappointed to see that a trainer at this facility not only doesn't wipe down the equipment his clients are using, but let's them cough all over the place without covering their mouth. Didn't we learn anything from the pandemic!
I've been a member of this gym since July, and it is the best gym I've ever joined. It has a large selection of classes for me, and a decent weight room for my husband. We work out together, then enjoy the pool, hot tub, steam room, cold plunge, and sauna after. I give 4 stars because some of the staff are very green and need training. If you're looking for just weight training, this is not the gym for you. If you're looking for variety and luxury, then you'll love it!

Been coming to the gym here for a little over a year now before and after the construction and all I can say is Iβm only coming due to the convenience. Since before and after renovation, not much has changed other than a glamorized new gym room. A lot of the equipment is the same with not many new options not to mention many things go missing or are unkept with. Broken, worn out, loud and squeaky, and missing equipment all the time.
Was expecting a lot more with the renovation considering how expensive it is to attend this place and get our moneys worth but this place makes planet fitness look better. I get you get the pools too but not even the lockers work in the changing room so gotta carry your stuff around so it doesnβt get stolen. Oh and speaking of high prices, the gaming center and arcade area are absolute ripoffs. Overpriced time to use the game consoles and arcade full of used old arcade games that look like they were picked out at an auction.
What really set me to write this review though and let out my opinions on this place is how they decided to require my friend to pay a βholiday weekend surchargeβ of 10$ even when I had a guest pass. I pay a lot of money to go here and had my guest pass I earn yet they still try to squeeze that last bit out of me? The gym was basically empty too yet we gotta pay a surcharge on a Sunday. Hopefully they use that money to Atleast go towards something useful here like new equipment. Only giving two stars for the nice staff and convenience, but sorry until things change Iβll keep a low rating

Would award Zero stars if I could. DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP IF YOU THINK AT ALL YOU MIGHT BE MOVING!!! Moved out of state and had to cancel my membership. Requested a reimbursement for the pre-paid year membership and was told it would take 8 weeks to process. Quite long, especially for money that is no longer theirs and is rightfully due back to me based on the agreement. But fine, I waited. However, now that it has been 8 weeks, I am told I have to wait an ADDITIONAL 8 more weeks. Accounting does not answer the phone, nor do they return messages. The representative emailing with me is polite but only speaks in generics "Thank you for your patience", "I am not sure how much longer this will take", "I have notified accounting again". This is absurd and a horrible way to run a business. They also refuse to provide statement credits back to the card that was used- which would be much faster than having to wait for a snail mail check! Also, not a very safe way to handle money as it could easily be lost in transit.

This is a monthly membership to an oasis for relaxation plus a great new huge gym. βThe Spaβ the locals call it. You can workout, play basketball, racketball, dip in the jacuzzis, a cold dunk pool, nice outdoor heated pool, indoor pools with waterfalls, steamroom and sauna. Lots to do all winter. In the summer, the outdoor pools are open. They have cliffs to jump off and caves to swim through to another private pool. SMH not even done. After youβre done, they have locker rooms with clean showers and hair driers. They gave me 4 free guest passed when I first signed up Or they can just pay 20 to get in with me. Anyone who complained about the membership price, do not appreciate the property the space all these cool activities. Not gunna find a place like this anywhere at all and a memebership with all that for under $80 bucks a month. Worth it to me. Close to NYC. I drive from Manhattan. Worth the hour 10 minute drive where you can see foliage. forgot to mention everyone including lifeguards are really nice, friendly and very courteous.

Super disappointed with my membership at this facility. My girlfriend and I pay a combined 140$ a month for our membership. They closed the gym down for so long and the new gym is terrible. They kept a lot of the old equipment and now the workout area is tighter. And on top of it the pools are closed inside now!! Pretty sad they didnβt cut members a break during these times. Definitely not worth the membership.
