We looked into different swimming lessons available in our area and even though Monmouth Squash & Swim is a bit farther than we initially planned and searched for, the idea of 1 to 1 really sold us. Our child started her swimming lessons at the end of this summer and we are extremely happy on her progress & importantly her excitement and lack of fear she initially had. Our child has had 2 different instructors so far due to schedule changes and both have been amazing! They displayed patience, joyfulness & creates a friendly and positive learning atmosphere & experience for our child. This place is special. We have gotten so much value from this club! Our daughter took one swim lesson with Brigid and she absolutely LOVED it - her demeanor was so warm and she learned a lot in one session. I then signed up for Squash lessons with Tertius and have really enjoyed my time learning. When we needed a backup plan for our daughter's birthday this year due to rain, Ingy came through and set up the place with pizza and decorations. The kids had a BLAST and the adults were able to hang out. Great atmosphere, wonderful people, and beautiful spot.

Monmouth Squash & Swim is the best hidden gem we’ve discovered since moving to Monmouth county about two years ago from NYC. Both of my sons (now 5 and 2) take swimming lessons here and my 5 year old became interested in and is now learning squash after seeing some other kids his age play one day after swimming. The one on one swimming lessons are so wonderful and my little guys are really learning to swim and stay safe in the pool at their own pace this way. Patty and Noreen are amazing swimming teachers and Ingy is so patient and encouraging as a squash coach. The entire staff is welcoming, patient, kind, relaxed and warm and everyone we’ve met and friends we’ve made have been wonderful. My 7 year old son really enjoyed going to the Monmouth Squash & Swim club camp every day. They’ve putted together a full day of different sports ranging from swimming lessons, squash, ping pong, basketball, soccer, gymnastics and a trip to the Sea Bright playground. The different rotation of daily sports keeps it interesting and the dedicated, kind and caring staff as well as small groups makes this a great camp to put an energetic kid in! Glad to have our son play at Monmouth Squash for tournaments.The staff and coaches Ingy & Tertius are very helpful, polite & courteous and conduct very organized tournaments and Squash training for kids. Our son his first Tournament medals at this center. He has had the chance to play many good players at tournaments here and has learnt a lot. It attracts a wide variety of players from various clubs in NJ,PA,NY & MD. Also the squash club has practice programs for Adults. Also only Squash place we know that serves bagel breakfast & pizza lunches for Tounament kids who seem to love it. Also the location by Monmouth Beach is great. Kids love to go walk and play on the beach after the tournament ends or Adults can take a break & walk on the oceanside boardwalk for a breath of fresh air. The area also has many good restaurants. We have been visiting Monmouth Squash for the last 3 years and have made many good friends there and also seen some amazing players compete at their events. We Love the Club & its people.

What a charming club. The first squash facility I’ve ever visited that’s next to a beach, and this one has a century’s worth of personality and character. Hands down the cutest entrance to a squash facility I’ve seen, as you walk through a brick alley lined with flowers and hanging lights where the (excellent) Italian restaurant next door. Anjelica’s, serves meals outside. The staff at the club are warm and welcoming and know the game inside and out. Well worth a visit!

I have had 2 girls take swim lessons with several instructors at Monmouth Squash and Swim over the years. Both girls started around 3-4 years of age and my goal was for them to be safe in the water and capable swimmers. All the instructors are amazing and got my girls swimming and loving the water. The 1:1 attention is wonderful, knowing that your child is safe and in capable hands.
The facility is clean and the owner very friendly. I highly recommend.

If I could give negative stars I would. NEVER book your birthday here. I can’t tell you how many reasons why. This place is awful. Staff.. awful. Communication.. awful. You can’t even get anyone on the phone. Save yourself the hassle this is the worst business I’ve ever worked with. Never spend a dime with these people.

Coach Tertius (along with his staff) has run his club with the utmost professionalism and created a positive and enjoyable atmorsphere for players to learn and thrive. The camps are fun and well run. Private lessons with any coach are great. Both the club space and seaside location make tournaments a pleasant experience for visiting guests. MSC also holds club activities like: movie night, rowing classes, adult clinics, and many other social gatherings either downstairs courtside, or upstairs in the beautiful bar room. The club is nestled, at the end of a small alley in the beach community of Sea Bright. If you're interested in a squash club that is inclusive, friendly, & fun, as well as very competitive, MSC is the place!

We love Monmouth Squash club! If you are looking for somewhere that offers swim lessons and you want to get the most out of each lesson look no further. Both of my kids are participating in swim lessons (all are private) and are progressing so wonderfully. The pool is clean and the facilities make it an ideal place to watch the swim lessons. My husband is a squash player and found this place when we moved to town. It has become his second home. He often participates in their tournaments/gatherings and they make it easy to find other players to play with. He plays most days and has found a new group of friends. Tertius and his team are friendly and very accommodating with scheduling.

I took my grandson to his swimming lesson at the Club, was captivated by what I saw and signed up the same day. It turned out to be a wise move. Although I frequently played tennis, after moving to Monmouth County, I did not have any nearby tennis partners and there was no nearby indoor tennis courts. I never played squash before but fortunately, it's much easier to learn squash than it is to learn tennis. It's also a more vigorous work-out.

As for the Club itself, its posh premises are immaculately maintained, the members are friendly and the cost is minimal (when compared to a country club membership). Individual lockers are available and there is an elegant party room with a bar.
