I enjoyed playing here.It was warm, courts are very clean newer. They have recently undergone a luxurious renovation with a clothing boutique and sitting area in the lobby lounge with our aerial views of the courts from atop. The clothing selection is trendy and fashionable. Really nice boutique. Hopefully, they'll get their coffee bar espresso bar working.That was the only disappointment.

I’ve been taking lessons at Murray Hill for a few years now and my game has improved a lot. All of my instructors have been great…friendly, informative, and supportive. The cardio drop in classes are a ton of fun and a great workout too.

My family has been coming to MH for about 7 years now. The courts are clean and bright and the balls are changed frequently. The coaches have their own styles and personalities but they are all friendly and encouraging. They would introduce new drills and games from time to time to keep the players engaged. The front desk is knowledgeable and responsive. The new texting system makes communication so much easier and convenient. Overall it has been a pleasant experience playing tennis at MH.

Unprofessional and Unsafe – Shocking Treatment by Owners Amy and Brianna

We had an incredibly disappointing experience at Murray Hill Tennis and Fitness in New Providence, NJ. My 5-year-old daughter was in their Tiny Tennis program when another child repeatedly poked her in the eye with a crayon, causing her to cry. The coaches failed to intervene, and owners Amy and Brianna were standing right there, doing nothing to stop it.

When my husband addressed the situation downstairs, Amy and Brianna were dismissive and suggested a refund for the day. They then asked him to wait upstairs while they ensured the other children were safe from sharp objects. After a brief, private discussion in a corner, Amy and Brianna returned and dramatically insisted that the only solution was to remove both of our children from the program entirely and offer a refund for the remainder of the 16-week session.

This was an extreme overreaction. The owners offered no other solutions or consideration for the safety issue caused by another child. They were more focused on pushing us out than addressing the problem. My children were left heartbroken and confused, and the whole situation was handled in the most unprofessional and unfair way.

We will not be returning, and I highly recommend looking elsewhere if you care about your child's safety and well-being.

I had a disappointing experience at Murray Hill Tennis this morning. As I was walking my 10 year old daughter to the tennis building, a woman suddenly approached us and, in a rude tone, said, “You’re not supposed to wear those shoes for tennis,” before walking away without any further explanation. She didn’t introduce herself or provide any context, which left me confused.

After speaking with the staff, I learned that she was Coach Barbara Kogan. I was surprised by her unprofessional and abrupt behavior. Instead of politely explaining the issue, she simply made a comment and walked off, which felt unnecessary and discourteous.

I shared my concerns with the owner of Murray Hill Tennis and requested to switch instructors for future classes. I truly appreciate how understanding the owner was and how quickly they accommodated my request.

Although I’m satisfied with how the situation was handled, I believe instructors should communicate with parents in a more respectful and professional manner.

Totally agree with some folks mentioned about below . We got terrible experience with their front desk and customer service , it seems they simply hate their customer or business after all . We have been with them for a while and one day we missed the group lessen that have plenty empty spot. We kindly ask for make up possibility . The lady just rejected right away and claiming other people could took our spot . Which sounds reasonable but not such case in reality at all ! Being with them for quite some time and being treated like this with cold face really make you feel being played . The front desk almost mock me like “that is how we run the business !” It is crazy to see some one talk to customer in that way . This will be the last class session we will be with the . Originally planned to put both my sons in their program but no, hope they simply run out of business as fast as they can if they keep thinking that is how they run their business 🙄 . Plus , coaches are a just so so , over priced anyway . We came mostly because saving us 10 min driving from other tennis facilities . But , 10 min more driving totally worth it to avoid their terrible folks .

This is my first season at Murray Hill. The facility is awesome - so clean, well maintained, and updated, making it an absolute pleasure to play there.

The front desk staff is exceptional, so helpful, accommodating and always have a smile on their face.

My friends and I have a regular weekly clinic with Johnson who simply put is FANTASTIC! His energy is contagious and he pushes us to play our best tennis while making sure we have a blast at the same time. He prepares us to think ahead, anticipate the next shot, and as a result, this takes our doubles game to the next level. Johnson clearly loves what he does and that is evident in his clinics/lessons.

This place only cares about their money, they don't care about their customer at all. The people in the front desk are rude and they can not answer your questions 9 out 10 times.

1. My daughter is enrolled in summer camp. The camp costs more than $500 a week for half day. Monday she was sick and could not attend. I called them. The front desk told me that we could not get any refund or schedule any makeup class because we signed a "contract".

2. If you have any changes to your schedule, for example, full week to half week camp. They will charge your $25 processing fee.

They randomly assign coaches for classes. The new coach often has no idea what level your kid is. When that happens, most likely they just let your kids play games there and maybe practice real tennis for just 10 min. No objection for playing games as long as it's short time or if the kids is just 3 or 4 year old. But if you just want your kids play games why not go to NP rec for paying half the fee but longer classes?

This place only cares about their bottom line. Two things specifically that make it clear they care more about their money than their clients:

1.) Mentioned to my trainer I was going to miss a class but he conveniently left out that I had to email the club 24 hours in advance to schedule a make up session so when I tried to reschedule, it was already too late so I lost that session.

2.) I asked them to re-grip my racquet only. They took the liberty of restringing my racquet also and charged me $30 for it. I did NOT want that but was still forced to pay for a service that was unwanted (also how do you restring a racquet without someone telling you how they like it done? Now it’s tighter than I’m used to and I’ll just have to live with it)

This is a beautiful club, recently renovated with no expense spared to make it aesthetically pleasing and creating a welcoming environment. Courts are well-lit and have plenty of room both on depth and width-wise, so a player can retrieve wide-angled shots, as opposed to other clubs. PlaySight technology is a wonderful, fun addition that is also helpful in assessing your game.

Nice indoor tennis club, was undergoing renovation the summer of 2017. Changed ownership recently, now a bit sporadic with communication. Lots if tennis classes for players of all levels, from kids to adults. I believe they run a few USTA kids teams as well.
