The studio is clean and well maintained, and some of the coaches are truly fantastic. I was in town for Thanksgiving week and took Julie’s class, she was excellent. Her coaching was clear, her timing was on point, and the music was great. Kudos to Julie for delivering a solid workout.
Unfortunately, my experience with Coach Bree was the complete opposite. The class felt disorganized, timing was off, and several exercises were not even shown. She spent more time chatting about her weekend and the other gym she works I think aloha something than paying attention to the workout. A woman next to me was doing the exercise completely wrong and was never corrected. Even the end-of-class announcements were a mess, she couldn’t give out a single date correctly. I wasn’t the only one who noticed. If you ever take class here I would recommend Julie’s class over Bree’s.

I absolutely love everything about otf. The studio and equipment are well maintained and clean. All of the coaches and sales associates are awesome. Special shout out to Bonnie, Coach Julie, and Coach Paolo. The workouts are fun and challenging. It's by far the workout that I have stuck with consistently over the last 5 years or so that I've been a member.

I have belonged to OTF Middletown for many years now. I cannot say enough good things about all of the people who make this studio as fabulous as it is. From The people who greet us at the desk to the amazing and awesome instructors. I follow OTF on Reddit and see so many complaints about other studios. There has never been anything negative to say about this studio. Classes are challenging, music is awesome and instructors are engaging. The owner is also very engaging with the members and whenever I take a break, OTF always reaches out to me to make sure everything is good with me and that I will be back.

I have been going to OTF Middletown since 2016, and have logged well over 1,000 classes. To say that Orangetheory has changed my life and fitness journey is an understatement. I have never been able to stick to something this long without being bored or stagnant in my progress. Each workout is different, and they never feel easy - you just get stronger. Prior to joining OTF, I HATED running- now I just signed up for my second half marathon. The coaches and staff are awesome, motivating and supportive - starting my day with Julie or Jess, or breaking up my day at noon with Paolo or Bre always puts me in a great mood.
If you are on the fence, take a class! I can almost guarantee you will never regret making the investment in yourself and your health!

I’ve attended classes at Middletown OTF for just over year and I love this place. The workouts are great and can be as intense as you want to make them. It’s a great way to combine cardio and strength training in a single session. You can also take an all strength session or all cardio (treadmill) session. The coaches are fantastic and knowledgeable. They are very good at assisting with form, providing alternatives to exercises that may not work for you and encouraging your effort. Perhaps most importantly, they make it fun. Also the staff at Middletown OTF are amazing people. They care about you and make you feel like you’re part of a family. I highly recommend it!

I wasnt aure about this group worlout at first but after -450 classes, muscle gain, all doubts have been removed. Not inly is thr workout comjunity great but the coaches such as jess, Julie and Paolo know exactly when to fox my form and keep me motivated. Try it out and sign ip for a class, you wont regret it! I love OTF and the coaches here are great! My only complain is that OTF is very busy so the coaches don’t always have time to correct your form. This is NOT an issue with this studio, it’s a fault in the workout format. That said it’s still my favorite way to burn a few hundred calories!

Absolutely love this gym concept. They keep it nice and clean and up to date. All the coaches are professional, knowledgeable and dedicated to making sure you have a great workout. If you are looking for a place to get an intense and motivational workout, Orange Theory is your place. I am in and out in 60 min. The staff is also so nice and courteous. The workers at the front desk are ruthless and inconsiderate. They charge you if you miss a class, which I understand is company policy. However, I find it cruel to treat consistent members so harshly no matter the circumstance (when they have complete control over who gets charged) and makes the gym feel unwelcoming and uninviting. Another instance of ruthless behavior: I was stuck in traffic and called them to let them know I would be late to the class. I was told, okay, as long as I'm there by 4:35. I rush home and am literally RUNNING into the class, and the front desk turns me away. I asked what time it was, they say 4:35. I said I made it on time, to which they replied, no you didn't and would not let me in the class. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM IF YOU ARE A WORKING PERSON WITH A BUSY LIFE AS THEY WILL SHOW YOU NO LENIENCY AND NOT MAKE YOU FEEL WELCOME OR CARED FOR IN THEIR GYM.

Availability is a real problem. Working out here may work if you have a job that is super flexible or don’t have a job at all, since classes at popular weekend times are constantly full. I would not have a problem with the reservation system except that it should show you when the class starts filling up instead of just when it’s full. Communication is poor and you need to essentially clear your whole day to workout. Management has not been responsive to requests for additional classes.

What an amazing workout experience. Treadmills, rowers, and weights - you're hitting a total body workout. The coach guides you through everything (when I got there I felt a little overwhelmed, but it was so easy to follow once you see how the class is actually lead). And despite being a class setting, you work at the level you're at, so you shouldn't feel intimidated. So much fun, and it definitely causes you to push yourself that extra bit for those extra "splat points"

Julie was my coach and she was amazing, I'm sure the rest of the coaches are on level with her. Definitely check this out if you're unsure what to do at the gym, having trouble getting started with a workout journey or hit a plateau in your current work out regiment. 10/10 recommend.

I like the variety of the work outs; what use to take me two hours to accomplish in a traditional gym only takes an hour. Orange theory fitness financially fits in my budget as well. Overall the class atmosphere lends to a better workout and also client commaraderie. Great community of people, it really pushes you to never miss a class that you book. Orangetheory is excellent, I have been going for three months now, and I feel fantastic, and my doctor is pleased with the results. The gym is clean and kept up with. The instructors are top-notch, they are always aware of all the people working on all the equipment and still let you know if there is something you might be doing to hurt yourself. One of the best points I can make is the instructors are always giving you options if you are unable to do that particular move. The first deck knows everyone by name are very friendly and accommodating. FYI, Deb who is the manager of the Middletown location, she is the best, she made it a point to work out with me the first day of my training and has been on-site and helpful every step of the way. I love that no matter what you situation is there is a way to complete the workout. I had been a member for about 2 years and had to have a partial knee replacement back in November. Unfortunately the surgery didn’t help and actually made my leg worse, i thought for sure my days at OTF we’re done so I cancelled my membership. Over the past few months there was no improvement in my leg and all the weight I had lost during my 2 years at OTF starting creeping back on. Finally I decided to reach out and see if I could try another class just to see what i could do, totally expecting to have to leave after the first five minutes. I was so amazed that not only did I complete the entire one hour, but felt the best I have since the surgery. There were a few things I needed modifications on, but the coaches are great and work with you to truly make it the best one hour workout you will find.

I struggle with body dysmorphia, bulimia, social anxiety, depression, BPD and a whole menu of issues. OTF is a place that helps me with these issues, when im on the wagon and off. I sometimes have anxiety and panic attacks and dont show up, so they text me to make sure im ok. no other gym does that, period!

Great friendly, enthusiastic, attentive trainers and staff who throughly explain each workout, gives personal attention to all 30 members every session. Like structured workouts in terms of planned exercises but always varied, fresh, fun and efficient. Never boring. Love the technology platform which tracks workout data and post workout e-mail reports to show progress.

I've been to many gyms over the years, but Orange Theory Fitness (more specifically Middletown NJ - OTF) has been the biggest change in my life. I joined over 2 years ago as a skeptic because I was dissatisfied with my gym at that time. So glad I did, as I never looked back since!! Just 60 minutes and you'll get a workout like you've never done before! Classes that keep you moving and motivated! Not to mention the most amazing trainers. Classes are different everyday! Anyone can work out at OTF! You will find people of ALL sizes, shapes, ages and genders!! The classes are instruction led, but you work at your own ability. Its not one of those gyms where everyone there is a size 0 and you walk in stared at! From the staff, to the trainers, to the managers - the minute you walk into the studio at Middletown NJ - you are part of a family and THAT support is amazing!! Love OTF M'Town -- you have changed my life and my outlook on workouts!! I've lost weight, am healthier, happier and stronger!!!

Joining OTF Middletown was the best decision I could’ve made! The staff is absolutely incredible and foster such a wonderful environment. I’ve been coming for 2 years now and can’t say enough about OTF. If you make “donations” each month to the big box gyms, then wander around each time you go because you don’t know what routine to follow, and don’t want to spend a ton on personal trainers, then this is the place for you. The coaches and staff are great - they get to know you, encourage you to push your limits and keep you motivated with a different routine every time. I’ve actually started running because of OTF - something I never thought I’d do. Have run in two 5Ks so far this summer. Get off the couch and get to OTF Middletown and get healthy!

I’ve been coming to orange theory for about 4 months now and I couldn’t be happier with the workouts and results. The coaches and desk staff are flexible and helpful and the workouts are engaging and challenging. I’ve done a number of group workout classes (CrossFit, boot camp, barre, spinning) and this is by far the best.

I am the first person to say i absolutely 1. hate the gym and 2. hate the gym even more because i hate going alone . BUTTTTTTTTT i honestly give myself props for getting over that fear lol, because I actually really enjoy the classes! Everyone is different (ages, size etc.) so you don't feel uncomfortable or out of place. Everyone works at their own pace and the instructors are really fun and outgoing. The music is always bumping so its very motivating. The heart rate monitor is definitely worth the buy so you can see how many calories you're burning. It is a bit pricey as most may say but i totally think its worth it and a much better experience then going to the gym on your own. I am sore for like DAYS after the classes.

The front desk is absolutely amazing as well - so friendly, patient and outgoing. Feels like a family! JOIN MIDDLETOWN OT!

The coaches are excellent and provide demonstrations prior to each floor workout with the weights. They keep a constant eye on all members and motivate each group from the treadmills, to the rowers and then to the floor and will correct your form to make sure you're getting the most from the exercise. The TV monitors are great and scattered through the facility so that you can easily see your heart rate and while on the floor, provide a reminder of the current exercise.
The team at Orange Theory is very friendly and the workouts keep changing so that the members are engaged and motivated to exercise to their best potential. The class times range from very early in the morning (5 am) to late in the evening (8 pm) and even on the weekends. The classes were easy to book through their web site or using the app on my Galaxy smartphone. You could also call the fitness center and the staff would work with you to book the appropriate time slot.
However, during the transformation challenge, some members may have booked multiple classes, so you may have been added to a wait list for a specific class until a spot became available. I was flexible and patient, so it worked for all the classes I took and feeling great after the transformation challenge.

I can't tell you how much I am loving my membership. I've never felt so excited to work out. Everyone is so nice, excited, and supportive. It's such a welcoming, positive atmosphere. I like that the workout always changes and is never boring, yet the type of work out is predictable enough for me to feel comfortable that I can follow along.

I know I can rely on a treadmill component and a floor/row component and mentally prepare for those tasks. I also like that I can adjust my workout based on how I’m feeling that day (walk vs run ,heavier or lighter weights ). I very much value the professional trainers who guide us through the work outs and answer questions.

I love that each workout is intense and fun, and never gets boring or repetitive. I like the fact that everyone can move at their own pace, as well as being able to see the total amount of calories burned and splat points contributed by each person because it shows that everyone really gave it their all. I’ve only been a member for just under a month but I can confidently say joining OTF was a great decision that I should’ve made a long time ago.

If you are looking for a workout that is going to push you outside of your limits and motivate you to reach new levels of fitness than OTF is the place to be. I signed up and haven't looked back! The coaches are amazing and the staff is so friendly and welcoming.
