I go to this location every once in a while.
When i don’t feel like going to my normal in cherry hill 2005 NJ-70. So i go today and apparently get turned down to work out because i’m in closed Athletic crocs that’s against the franchises policy. No crocs or slides. Every time I go here I wore crocs and nobody ever said anything. I was just here Sunday night 12/08 and wore crocs. The guys response was sometimes they don’t catch it. I don’t mind rules but be consistent following your own policies that the franchise made up. Should be a sign on the front door and you should stop people from slamming weights but don’t. I wasn’t allowed to at least work out for today and come back next time wearing shoes. Now I had to travel 20 plus minutes to my normal gym.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE💜this gym with my heart, this is where my journey started I been coming here every day for the past 3 years, and honestly the best part about it is the atmosphere I tried different gyms but this will always be my comfort zone. This gym makes you feel comfortable and welcomed, there’s enough space for everyone is never over packed with people! And From the staff to the customers, everyone is always nice and friendly:) also is always kept clean! Wanted to update my cc on file. In three years have never been asked this. They refused access till I went home to get them a cc. Mind you the bill my bank account monthly so really didn’t effect my payment being processed and was always paid on time with no issues. I told them if I had to go home for a cc today I wasn’t coming back. They said that is fine. So I canceled on the spot. And now a welcomed member at Giant. FYI best thing they ever did to me. Giant fitness employees are super nice and welcoming no second payment needed. And definitely a cleaner gym. Thanks planet fitness for pushing me to another gym!

Brooklawn Planet Fitness has the absolute BEST employee of all the Planet Fitness clubs I frequent! Serena is always super friendly, greets everyone with the biggest smile. First of all, the staff is super nice, part of the reason I use this gym. But after being to several planet fitness’ over the years when I travel and on vacation this one really has some issues. This is the only one I’ve been to that only has 4 stair climbers. To make things worse, for the last year+ there has been at least 2 of the 4 of them broken. Sometimes 3 of the 4.
They went through a renovation that was completed over 6+ months ago, yet the construction supplies are still taking up a large majority of the free workout area. Not only that, but a lot of it is covered in bird crap. Literally right next to work out equipment. I try to give grace for these types of things, but being done for 6+ months and it still all sitting like that is pretty bad. There are a lot of times when there is no space for people to work out back there because of it. The only positive is this one doesn’t seem to get as busy, probably because of the above issues lol

I've worked out in a lot of different gyms that were horrible this is not one of them. Been working out here since it opened. The employees are nice it's clean. And for what you're paying.
How can you cry about it. The only problem I have is people sitting on the equipment and texting and not working out. Just my opinion.

Today,10/29/23, gym opened at 8:03. The fellow who finally opened did apologize for the opener not showing up. He stated he just stopped by to work out. The gym was dirty, with trash on the floor. Dirty at opening and late opening seem to be a habit here now. I don’t even use the bathroom anymore because every time I go in there it is dirty(including at opening time). Don’t they clean it after hours??? The manager, Justin, never greets you and acts like he doesn’t want to hear it when you complain. One of the exercise bikes has been ‘Out of Order’ for more than a month. Showers have been shut down for reconditioning/repair/replacement since 9/18. Can it get any worse?

I’ve been going to this particular gym in Brooklawn NJ since 2013. Staff has always been friendly, helpful, informative and polite. The atmosphere here is different and I mean in a good way. I always feel welcomed and at home. It’s a well rounded community here. What made me really want to write this review was we because we’re a community had a new member and quickly I noticed the love and concern for our newest member. I later find out he’s blind. But today I see the member working out as I usually do but a staff member named Josh noticed or is alerted that the blind member is done working out at a station and josh is right there to help, Assist and take him to his next machine or exercise. That right there filled my heart and soul with soo much happiness, joy and love that I had to commend him for just being a good human being. Do I decided to give back and acknowledge the effort. We should all be like Josh everyday of our lives and keep making this World a better place.

Quite possibly the worst gym of all time. They never, ever open up on time. The guy who is supposed to be there when they open casually strolls in a half hour late each day & always looks high. The professionalism of the staff is a joke and the place isn’t even that clean anyway. I’ve been to a handful of gyms and this one is by far the worst of them all. This is what happens when you hire anyone. The dude who works morning shift is not qualified and has a roid rage issue. Only a matter of time before he gets hit with an assault charge. If I could give this clown show 0 stars, I would. Taking my business to Giant and never looking back.

Love this gym here almost every day but one worker came up to me and was disrespectful due to me wearing crocs although two days prior a women had slides on and when she was using one machine she was wearing no shoes which I’m pretty sure is against planet fitness policy. If he was polite It would be a different story and I don’t want to sound like a Karen I know I was in the wrong for wearing crocs but he was very disrespectful.

Our experience at PF Brooklawn has been very positive. The location is great and the staff is not draconian like I have read online with regards to reacting negatively/abusively towards heavy lifters or those more serious about their personal fitness.

Clean big gym that has tons of free weights, dumbbells, and machines..
Throw in free tanning and free water massaging for $25, and the ability to work out at any planet fitness across the country and it's really a no-brainer to join

Amazing atmosphere! Clean equipment. Huge array of exercise devices, benches, bar bells, dumb bells, mats, all-in-one and aerobics. The staff is respectable and knowledgeable. There are massage beds and chairs. Also tanning beds and lockers for your stuff; bring your own lock!! Everything is here in one spot! Only thing; bring your old fashioned headphones if you want to listen to the many tvs, cord with plug. I just stick with my music! I definately give Planet Fitness a 10 out of 10!!

I literally had my membership for 3 days before I canceled. Since day 1 I’ve had nothing but problems and rude staff on their phones. I asked to go tanning for 9 mins, I got in my booth and it said 2 mins. I tried calling the store phone 3 times and no one answered so I had to get dressed and go out there just to a girl was sitting behind the counter on her phone literally sitting on a shelf looking thing&a guy standing on his phone texting. I told him the situation and he said I’m sorry it’s done for today. I said what do you mean that’s not fair? He did nothing to calm me down or fix the situation. I canceled my membership and they didn’t even try to stop me, appoligize, fix the problem. Get it together. I’m an assistant regional manager for Taco Bell and I would never ever let a customer walk away unhappy.

They say they are open, and they work with your schedule but they close incredibly early... 7pm on Saturday and Sunday. You can blame COVID as an excuse its a year since it started and other gyms are now back to 24 hours. I'm giving it another week then I will be leaving for a Gym that will stay open

Edit for Response: Can you Let me know how Closing for 12 hours helps keep everyone Safe? You Guys don't clean the equipment during this time... you have big glass windows, you can see the employees just leave at the end of the night (because that when I get pushed out of there) Step up to the plate and at least open till midnight, stop hiding behind COVID, Other gyms have learned how to operate, you are falling behind

Was 24 hours 7 days a week. This made my life much easier to have most of these PFs open late. Now, very restrictive hours. I joined based on $10/mth and 24/7. I think its kind of a scam to switch this on people after it was marketed this way. If Giant Fitness or another could expand and have 24 hours, I would leave PF immediately.

As a black card member, I visit various Planet Fitness locations. Most of them, as this one is, are located inside shopping centers. I went to this location around 11 am. The gym wasn't crowded. I liked the open layout. The staff was welcoming, not on their phones and ignoring patrons as we entered or left, as I have encountered at other locations. The equipment was clean and in good condition. They have 2 Hydromassage beds, 2 massage chairs and 5 tanning booths. The men's locker room you need to bring your own lock, which I don't mind since some locations have locking lockers that are not usable since people leave many combinations in the locked position on open lockers. The shower area needs attention, or even renovation. It has 5 showers and 1 dressing room. Shower doors don't close properly, and 1 shower floor was cracked and appears to leak water into the dressing room. It took about 5 minutes to get hot water. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give Brooklawn Planet Fitness a 7 due to the welcoming staff.

The gym was fairly okay the only issue was the showers. The shower doors have a clear Planet Fitness logo that you can see through when you are in the shower and outside of the shower. There is only one shower with a regular shower curtain, which provides more privacy, but causes delay in the morning. I no longer go to this gym.

The Brooklawn gym is conveniently located near my daughter's job. I had to get used to the layout, but it soon felt like home. I like the open floor plan, especially in the bathroom. Learning how to use the stretch apparatus. I don't call it a machine. It's more like monkey bars for adults. The equipment is newer and the gym is immaculate.

This is a decent gym with everything you need. It is very clean and well kept every time I’m there. Staff is always friendly. The machines and water fountain are on the older side, but it doesn’t really make a huge difference. You have to bring a padlock because the lockers are also older than the other PFs in the area. The parking lot is horrifying and I always risk my life to be there, but that’s out of their control.

Been a black card member for 3 years and just cancelled my membership. Was told I’m too loud while I was deadlifting. I didn’t set off the alarm or drop the weight. There was no one around me either. Some staff member just took it upon himself to “warn” me. I immediately cancelled my membership and joined 24/7 Mt. Ephraim Fitness down the street. PF is ridiculous anymore.
