Always ton of cardio machines. Never have to wait. Clean. Rarely is anything broken.
The downside is there’s a LOT of teenagers/young men hogging the weight machines and sitting on their phones- clueless and they need to learn how to be respectful/etiquette and move on. PF should figure out a messaging for this.
I joined in order to use the leg machines and I can rarely get in there.

Had a major knee surgery in late 2021 and joined in early 2022 to continue my physical therapy exercises. Been an active member since. Love the clean facility and that they put cleaning stations throughout the gym. Members are respectful and clean the equipment after they finish using it. The staff and especially the manager are very professional and always available to help. Excellent place and I use the center in Clinton when I’m in that area. Highly recommend!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The equipment itself? ok. The atmosphere, tolerable at best. The employees, "trainer", manager, operations manager right up to the owner - Bad. News. What should be a place of health and growth feels like a watchtower — cold eyes patrolling instead of warm hands serving. Instead of creating a culture of support, it fosters an atmosphere of control — careless and detached from the very people who walked through its doors. Go elsewhere and pay a few more bucks - you'll save yourself a lot of hassle and be glad you did!

Be wise and DO read all of the lowest comments as I personally attest to them all being true and how the "manager" and staff are and the rigid, non-warm, interrogative way they function.
This place hides behind the idea of a “Judgment Free Zone.” They don’t stand for principle, truth, or fairness and they don’t protect the rights of their members. Their main goal is signing memberships and collecting fees. There is zero customer service centricity demonstrated, exempt of any dignity at the members disposal but rather police the environment. "Policies" are twisted, protecting members that offend or disturb other members not wanting to "target anyone". There’s a ton of kids and people that don’t honor gym etiquette, let alone understand what it is and it won't be enforced. Dominating machines, staring at their phones or having conversation with no regard that others are waiting to use them. The general consensus among members is the staff doesn't care, are unfriendly and defend the brand more than humanness and is a waste of time to speak to them about anything. Especially the manager and verbatim, “don’t bother speaking up as 'she' doesn’t care”. It’s an absolute double standard of ‘do what we say not as we do’. Most people tolerate it because it's the cheapest game in town but you do get what you pay for. Bottom line - if you’re not in compliance with said lack of accountability and a wishy-washy, frigid, middle of the road and frankly unhealthy dynamic, you’re the one that can leave. If you value a gym with integrity, a real culture of respect for focused fitness and an environment that looks to serve and care about it's members, look elsewhere.

Overall the location itself is nice and clean, and staff are friendly. I have some growing frustrations though and it’s making me rethink whether it’s time to move someplace else.

First, I appreciate that this location just updated a bunch of equipment, but it was mainly just the cardio machines and adding a few new weight machines they didn’t have before. But the weight area is still a problem. During peak times there are a lot of people waiting for smith machines and with only 4, it can be a while. I really wish they had added more as this was really needed. They could also use more mirror space for people to use free weights by to monitor their form. People are always clustering up around other machines and along the walk way to the lockers to do sets because there’s no where else to go. There was an entire wall that could have been expanded along and I’m surprised this wasn’t considered.

Second, there are a lot of young teenage boys here which someone else mentioned, and there is a lot of poor gym etiquette and machine hogging. This shouldn’t be happening during peak hours and I wish staff would monitor this more. I completed an hour + workout in the gym and the same young gentleman was on the machine from the time I got there until the time I left. There are also groups of young men that come in and all rotate on the same smith/cable so by the time they’ve all done several sets, the machine is occupied during most of my workout. Everyone is entitled to time and to get a good workout in, but not at the expense of everyone else’s time.

Third, the crowd meter on the app is highly inaccurate. The bars range from 1-10, and I have NEVER personally seen the app show above 3 on the crowd meter, even when it’s ridiculously busy. A 3/10 when all smiths are taken, a majority of the machines occupied, people lining the walk ways with free weights, and 60-70% of the cardio machines occupied is just plain inaccurate. I’m not sure how this is figured, but the system is very flawed. I would like to make my decision of when to come based on a more accurate depiction.

Finally, I do not understand why it’s being advertised that this location is 24/5. They close at 9 on Friday, 7 on Sat, and 7 on Sun. That’s 3/7 days they aren’t 24 hours, and I feel like their advertising is misleading. Aside from that, I really wish they would go back to longer hours, at least until 10-11 each night. 7pm doesn’t allow for a lot of people doing anything on weekends to have enough time to get a full workout in. It really is a shame.

Again, everyone here has been friendly and I like the facility overall, but these issues are really making me reconsider whether it’s a good fit as someone who takes their workout schedule and routines seriously.

Pros: clean, open 24 x 4, there's a clock on the wall (other PF's I've been to have no clock at all), nice locker room, big shower rooms
Cons: there are too many exercise machines and therefore they are very close to each other, the water force in the shower rooms is weak (it takes a lot of time to clean ourselves).

if you want a workout from hell this is the place to be for starters if your lucky enough to get a locker available there that small you can’t fit your gym bag inside without forcefully squashing it in and destroying the layout in your bag then you walk in to the gym and you are literally squeezing pass everyone just way to crowded for a small gym you can’t use any of the machinery without waiting at least 20 minutes unless you get lucky and then once you’ve completed your workout you have there is only 4 to 5 showers don’t actually no the exact number but your most likely gonna have to wait in line for that and to top it off the showers have no proper shower heads apart from the disability,
shower and most of the staff here has horrible attitudes and no kind regards for others except 2 young indian boy and girl which is actually really nice and polite I have travelled all over the us and have been to multiple locations and from my personal experience this had definitely got to be the worst I think this place needs new management as soon as possible!

You need to remove the televisions. I’m sick of seeing school shootings, reminders of how poor I am and reminders of how rich everyone else is while I am trying to run on a treadmill. My family has tried to utilize family memberships at a couple different gyms within 45 minutes driving distance…
This particular gym, has some good things and bad things going for it.
Certain days I’d say it’s a 5 stars, as with their affordable memberships you can get the whole family exercising for an affordable amount, but unfortunately there’s been a few days where staff have been beyond rude. Dismissing my children and offering no type of help when it came to how we could approach this in the future.

Planet fitness was always 24/7. That’s why I loved it. Not everyone has a traditional 9-5 job. I work irregular hours like many and often find myself unable to workout. That’s why I originally became a member. While some clubs returned to the 24/7 schedule, it is a shame that this location still has scaled down hours from the pandemic. 1) this was my “home” gym for 7 plus years. I thought it was all that until I visited many other Pf’s across the country.
2) Very small gym. Showers are not good. The shower heads are awful and so is the extremely hard water. No changing area off the showers and what is available is a very ling walk away.
3) on my most recent visit while I was back in town - the lady behind the counter made my husband (my guest- who used to have a membership at this same very gym) go back outside and get his drivers license to verify it was him. And made a photo copy of it!! Seriously- after 3 years of visiting different PF’s across the country- this gym pulled that. Said it was policy and that every gym we visit should be asking for his license?!?!? So far, WI, WY, OK, VA, AZ, NV, TN, OH, and PA haven’t so maybe she just wasn’t sure? Although that staff member has been there for years.
4) gym itself is clean and tidy… but again small- like super small.

If you wanna pretend like you work out then this is the place for you. Machines are restrictive. You wont build real strength here. Its a cheap membership but you get what you pay for. Im 24 215lbs over weight and was able to push 500lbs on the leg press but then went to Golds Gym with a friend and I struggled with 250. Planet Fitness Machines are fixed. The locker room was clean and the staff is friendly. The one part I just have so much trouble with is how stuffy, thick and sweaty the place feels, especially during prime times when the place is crowded. There’s only one ceiling fan for the entire gym and there’s really no reason for the place to have such poor ventilation. I’ve been to other “Planets” and have had no issue. If you’re someone who doesn’t sweat you’ll be fine, but for others like me it was oppressive and uncomfortable.

I joined Planet Fitness in 2016. I used the gym once, the day I opened the membership, and I haven’t returned until today. I assumed my membership had long since expired. As it turns out, my membership was automatically renewed every year for the past 6 years. Yikes.

Shame on me for not discovering this unethical practice sooner, but as a local business man with several companies throughout NJ, I’m very busy and rely on a third party to manage my personal finances.

In June, I canceled the credit card that Planet Fitness had on file, so it was no longer accepting payment. A balance was owed for the past several months. I asked if I could wipe the slate clean and renew my membership without any past dues. Rather than show a little sympathy or understanding for a member that made 6 YEARS WORTH OF PAYMENTS having only used the gym ONCE, an employee Sara, refused to allow me to use the gym, until I paid the balance due for services she KNEW I never received.

I asked to speak to a manager, but there wasn’t one on duty. Sara was more than happy however to show me the fine print in my contract regarding “automatic membership renewal.” So, I canceled my membership, refusing to do business with a company that is unethical and uncompromising, a place run by kids that do not know the first thing about fairness or customer service. My wife cancelled her membership too. In the days ahead, I will urge my staff, vendors and associates to do the same. I will continue to write bad reviews.

Lessons learned. Read the fine print! Cold hard GREED might win on WallStreet, but it’s NOT a good practice for a local business. And if you are going to “manage” a business, it’s a good idea to be there.

Overcrowded, unwelcoming staff, not the cleanest of environments by a long shot. (Just because their 10$ or in my case I had the 20$ a month membership doesn’t mean the place should be trash). Sincerely recommend finding elsewhere. My membership has now been cancelled. (Which they do not allow you to do over the phone or online). It had to be done in person which made no sense. No I.D. in person was required. Just a signature, which I could have signed electronically online. I've been a planet fitness customer for many years because i work late. I was just kicked out of the flemington location because now they close at 9pm. I was not notified of this when i signed back up after the shut down. The young lady said she couldn't close my account out because it's past 9pm. The worst part is I couldn't shower before driving home. They stopped having soap in the showers too. This place is going down hill fast. It's a shame because it used to be one of the better ones. Oh well, I'll be checking out crunch or princeton health.

I wish the dumbbells went over 75 pounds, maybe to 90 and it’d be perfect. Planet Fitness management has made some poor decisions, in my opinion, regardomg the safety of it's customers. Although these decisions appear to be within government regulations,nevertheless they are a big risk factor for all users. 1. No requirement for vaccination. 2. No requirement for masks. 3. So disappointed in Planet Fitness. My son came home on his college break and joined the gym. When he joined, he said he wanted a short term membership. The kid at the counter said that my son could cancel anytime online. After going back to school, he tried to cancel both on-line and then by phone. He was told he needed to send a certified letter. Living on campus without a car made that impossible. I called Planet Fitness today and they admitted they told him to send a certified letter, but he didn't need to do that. What a scam.

Terrible experience. My husband got COVID last week and we have been sick at home. Today, I decided to call and cancel (because we were too sick to call last week + waiting for test results). Associate did not know informations and manager was completely rude. They said I had 2 options to cancel, 1st was to go to the planet fitness myself and cancel it, 2nd was to send a letter explaining why I want to cancel it. Not over the phone options. I can’t go out to mail a letter or go in personal there because of COVID. Finally, the manager told me to email them the reason why I’m canceling it (which I believe I should not give them explanations, I just want to cancel!!!!). Also, even though we sign a contract, to avoid the annual fee I should have canceled before the 25th of February - the day we got tested! How was I supposed to know? They do not care about you and the situation. They do not try to understand. She also offer me to freeze my account but I’m not going back to this gym. Also, many times I’ve seen people not cleaning up equipments when they were done using. DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM!

They have made me addicted to working out because classes are fun, challenging, and always changing. Why spend upwards of $20 on a class when you can take unlimited training sessions (all included in your membership) that are superior to those offered at a typical boutique facility? My only suggestion is that even more classes be added! Trevor’s talent is not being utilIzed to its fullest extent behind the front desk. Adding afternoon classes on Mondays and Wednesdays would provide an even more comprehensive program to support the varying schedules of clients. Thank you for creating such a welcoming and supportive environment and for developing fitness routines that meet the diverse needs of all members!

This location is always clean and never had a 'gym smell.' Machines are in great shape and very well maintained. Lots of machines and lots of variety. Overall, a good experience and investment. The tables up front are a great place to socialize, check messages, etc. Keep up the good work !

Very Disappointed every other gym I've been to I have never been told that I cant bring my 1 gallon jug of water inside that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life and that's why they only deserve one start from me🤬

Always clean, not overly crowded (at least at the times I've been there). Trevor showed me the ropes and I've been full on ever since.. Everyone at the front desk is great, especially Donna, she's always polite & patient with all my silly questions.. I'm so glad I started my fitness journey here!!
