I have been going to this gym for about 9 months , I started experiencing a nasty attitude with the front desk lady so I stopped going and started going to a different gym. I then went back today because it was convenient today with my schedule, BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! I experienced an nasty attitude and racism from the same lady and her coworker she interrupted my workout with her horrible attitude just to try and stop me from using the treadmill with the type of shoes I had on I have seen people wear many different shoes and even no shoes ! I have never seen anyone else harassed but ME ! I tried to explain to her Cowork what was happening he threatened to cancel my gym membership with out even knowing what was going on then followed me around the gym ! I wasn’t done my workout ! I didn’t break any rules it shouldn’t be no reason why my membership was threatened to be cancelled. I’ve never had any issues at any gym I go to I do my workout and leave ! She should not be able to represent this company and neither should her coworker I was treated terribly and will never return to this establishment ever again.

Pros:
1. All equipment is clean and in working order.
2. Even during the busiest of peak times, *something* is available for members to use.
3. Staff are extremely friendly. As a new gym user, I have needed help finding certain machines and/or learning how components work. I never felt "stupid" for asking questions.
4. Bathrooms are typically clean (except for that one dude who stealthily diarrhea-bombed the handicap toilet last week; thankfully, my dude with the skater hair quickly took care of it. He's a homie for life.).
5. Hours are great.

Cons:
All y'all answering emails, setting up Google Calendar notifications, and scrolling TikTok for 15 minutes between sets. This one girl "reserved" the leg curl machine by keeping her pink iPhone on the seat and then proceeded to scroll into infinity when she came back. C'mon, work out or move on!

I've been coming to Planet Fitness Westmont consistently for the last two months and am blown away with the staff's care (high praise specifically for Haley, Shajeeb, Jade, Ebonique, Tatiana, Felicia, Brad, Josh, Joe and literally everyone else working there) and the general vibe. My normal PF is in Pasadena, CA (which also rules), but have unexpectedly been in South Jersey helping my parents navigate assisted living and have really appreciated the culture I experience at PF Westmont. The place is awesome and thanks again to the staff for making me feel at home.

I used to be a member of this location back when they first opened. It’s a very clean location. Probably the best PF I’ve ever been too and I am familiar with several quality gyms, as I am currently a member of Lifetime Fitness and LA Fitness. However, I chose to not renew my membership after your location decided not to return to a 24/7 schedule, which has drawn numerous complaints. I would expect management to prioritize this issue. Many responses suggest repeatedly calling the manager, but why doesn’t the manager engage with these requests here, or better yet, why doesn’t the owner?

Additionally, I’ve noticed a significant number of complaints regarding Asst. Manager Sofia. I’ve heard from various associates that she is often rude and unprofessional and not attentive. A quick review of the comments reveals her name mentioned multiple times. It’s hard to believe that so many people would be wrong. Management needs to address this situation and consider taking action against her enployment. Asking customers to send emails about their concerns is not sufficient.

I sincerely hope this issue is being addressed, as several individuals have reported negative experiences with her on numerous occasions. It’s disheartening, especially since my prior experience as a member was much more positive. I have no intention of renewing my membership under circumstances that involve a rude manager and assistant manager, particularly when the gym is not operating 24/7. Isn’t that part of the appeal of Planet Fitness? Let’s work towards improvement!

The gym is pretty decent. It has gone through phases where it was not the cleanest and it’s hard to find parking during peak times, but I think it’s pretty clean lately, the layout is great, and I love the staff. My BIGGEST issue is that during the pandemic, the hours changed and they never went back to 24/7. I do understand that it might not be ideal to keep open if they don’t get enough people coming at the hours, when most people would be sleeping, but I have quite a few people I’d love to workout with that can only do it before work or later in the night and I could really use the workout buddy. These friends also don’t have memberships for this reason. I REALLY wish the hours would widen. There are days I’d need to workout at like 9pm-11pm and it closes at 7, so I don’t get to go. It’s soooo frustrating. I almost gave the review 3 stars because the hours are problematic for me to optimize my health, and I used to be able to workout at those unusual times. The membership didn’t get less expensive, when the hours were cut back, so I also feel like that is unfair. I know I’m not alone, in the frustration with the hours. It would be amazing if the hours could be extended. Even if it was open 3am-11pm. That would be a huge help.

disgusting customer service skills. im not a regular member, im a guest and im not familiar with all of the policies. i was doing squats with no shoes on. one of the employees rudely interrupted me while i had 120lbs on my back, MID SET telling me to put my shoes on. now i understand needing to enforce policies, but to interrupt someone MID SET is just insane to me. and to not say “excuse me, but can you please put your shoes on, you’re in violation of our policy.” instead saying “you need to put shoes on”… how unprofessional is that? all employees, INCLUDING the manager had an extremely nasty attitude. completely ruined my workout and my mood.

Got to take a star off for the customer facing on renewing your credit card as alternate backup form of payment. Apparently the app does not work for updating vs. the front desk computers and the front desk folks will keep asking you for this info...I'm a long time on time paying customer who direct debits out of the checking account and found this very off putting. I don't bring my credit card into the gym with me to be swiped....got to be an less confronting way...I mean google pay knew the credit card exp date was updated automatically, same with amazon , etc.....

This is a pretty good gym for people who live in the area and don't want to drive to one of the bigger gyms on routes 70/38/30/etc. The staff is great and friendly. You can pretty much get a full workout with all the equipment available although there are some pretty basic things missing that almost every other gym I've ever been a member of has. There are a couple of other issues I wish they could address like: Lots of teens standing around socializing and taking up equipment, which is frustrating. I wish they were open a little later on the weekends; 7pm is a little early for my schedule.

Sofia helped me out big time while back to get my primary location transferred from center City Philadelphia and it was a breeze! I started going to this planet fitness in July and have been extremely disappointed. Firstly, the girl behind the counter, Sophia, is extremely rude and pays more attention to her phone and the other male employees than customers. She’s always sitting and I can’t ever get service when she’s alone at the desk. I would submit a complaint to the manager, Felicia, but I’ve heard she bans customers who complain. The "employees" who work here couldn't be bothered doing their job. Everytime I come In I have to scan myself in while the employees behind the desk rather be on their phone or talking to each other. I have had issues with being asked for my ID 3 times to tan. I have already given it twice and it be scanned into their system. When I made a complaint to the manager on duty today around 3pm his reply was as follows “ I’m sorry we need your ID again it must be a problem with the system” my reply “ I’m over the I’m sorry everytime I have to give my ID just to tan” his reply “ well we can cancel your membership, we can do it right here right now” I was in amazement hearing that from a manager. This gym a couple years ago was fantastic, always clean, equipment was in good shape, all the machines were always in working order but this last year things have really gone down hill, Ab machine in the ab room has been broken since the middle of October it’s now April, it takes months for cables to be repaired, the mirror is currently being held together by Masking tape, it’s getting dirty nothing gets cleaned as much as it used too, machine attachments are falling apart, just kinda getting old thinking about switching gyms, tired of waiting 40 minutes for a cable flys because the other one for whatever reason isn’t getting fixed.

I NEVER take the time to write reviews because who cares?! Right!? Well the experience I had here was ABSURD and warranted a review! I go very early and shower/get dressed there after, before I head to work. For the past few weeks, the showers and changing stalls have been DISGUSTING. After noticing that trash wasn't being removed for WEEKS at a time, I said something to the front desk employee. She said she would mention something... then again a few weeks later, still gross.... asked front desk person again... she tells me that the evening people are supposed to be cleaning it and they must not be and to call the manager.... I didn't have time to call so I let it go. A few days ago I was so disgusted by the MILDEW stained floors and the globs of hair in the shower stalls AND the SAME trash that still remained in the trash bag...so I asked up front and she again told me to call the manager, but that she was out so to wait a few days... Today, when I not only saw that the trash can STILL had the SAME TRASH in it from 3 WEEKS ago ANDDDDDD a bloody pad just chilling there I lost it. I then took the trash can to the front desk and simply set it on the counter and said 'its been 3 weeks, this is disgusting' and walked out. I figured maybe THEN they would see that something needed to be done. I finally made the time to call the NASTY manager a few hours later. She told me I was INTIMIDATING the staff because I THREW the trash can in the face of an employee (::insert crying laughing emoji several times here::) I laughed and stated that I simply placed it on the counter for someone to address it.... she then said " Why would we waste a trash bag if its not full?" (SERIOUSLY??????? Just because a bag isn't FULL doesn't mean it doesn't need to be changed occasionally, ESPECIALLY in a WOMANS LOCKER ROOM!) I told her my feelings on that and her response was 'well if you are really unhappy here, you know you CAN go somewhere else!" To which I told her 'should I also tell that to the several dozen other folks who are signing a petition to have the board of health come in and inspect that location?' and her response was 'yes if they don't like it they can leave too!"

COOOOOOLLL!!! Its pretty interesting to have a MANAGER tell you to GO ELSEWHERE when you are simply drawing attention to a health issue. GOOD TO KNOW!

Of all the gyms in Europe and the US I frequent, the front desk staff Christian and Emma are rudest I have ever encountered.
I have been a member for 4 years, never missed a payment. Yet, when Emma one day 2 weeks ago discovered I "only" have one form of payment attached to my account (which by the way is all any other gym ANYWHERE requires), she immediately got extremely rude. She wouldn't even listen when I tried telling her that I never bring my purse after having had my car broken into at this location.
She sicked Christian on me.
The following time I came in, it was pouring rain out, and I forgot my CC in my car. Christian started SCREAMING at me, and I asked him to please come talk to me when he could speak to me like a person without yelling, and i walked away in an effort to diffuse the situation. He called the police!
Even the officer couldn't believe why she was there!! I showed her on my phone my payments that I was not behind.
How horrible to call the police when there might be someone with a real emergency who needed help!!
To top it off, Christian did not want to give the officer his or Emma's names!! Then, he canceled my membership.
I called corporate who informed me it is not a requirement, but a recommendation, to have two forms of payment. Later when I called the manager, she refused to tell me when the owner would be there. I then asked her to give the owner my name and number to have him call me, only to have her tell me the owner is too busy to contact me even if she did give it to him!!
I guess she was correct since now, two weeks later, I have still not heard from him.

I am constantly amazed at how rude a vast majority of the young male teenage boys that work out here. They come in swarms for groups of four and five no concept of spatial awareness and take up space in the middle of the walkway... I like this facility a lot. It’s clean, well-staffed, and has nice amenities and plenty of equipment. My only complaint is the parking lot. Last summer I noticed people parking in the lot and walking into neighboring business. I mentioned this to a staff member at the time and he was indifferent about it. Since then, the problem has gone unchecked and has gotten much worse. Today I had to park on the street around the block. In the middle of a weekday. I again mentioned this to a staff member. This time he said they are aware of the situation but there’s nothing they can do about it. So basically, the paying customers suffer while the locals park illegally. There must be a way to police this problem.

I was a guest at this location and Vincent greeted us in a friendly manner. Shortly afterwards, while on a treadmill, I somehow lost a cross that fell off my chain. Vincent was nice enough to get a flashlight and then lift 3 different treadmills at which time I found my cross. What a great representation of this club he is! And the facility itself was clean and spacious!

It was a great gym until 2 weeks ago when they let in a bunch of young teens who don't care about working out as much as slamming weights and taking selfish. Canceling my membership.

My time with this gym was short. The guys and gals behind the desk are super helpful and courteous to you. They keep it clean, however the crowd in the afternoon there is a little too much. It's a lot of pretentious kids who come in and hog the machines text on them have no courtesy to the actual people who pay the membership there. It's a shame cuz all the kids who go there for free are going to drive out the paying members. Overall I would not recommend it unless you want to go and get annoyed by kids who hog machines and act like they own the gym. Nice place runied g by parents who don't want to watch their kids after school or put them in programs. Shame shame
