From my Experience, there's nothing wrong with this place, I mean when the place is packed!..how can you say the place was Dirty????..some people I swear..anyway it's not a problem for me..2025 update... Although I do like this planet Fitness, them as a franchise not all committing to the 24hrs open is a shame, because they're open 5am-10pm on the week days, and 7-8pm Saturday and Sunday.. now how does that make any sense??? .. what about the people that love to workout at 1am?

I’ve been working out here for about 5 years and now all of a sudden they’re acting cheap with the AC.
I know it’s not summer yet (it’s almost May) but it’s been hot and it becomes a sweaty nasty hot box in there.
Everyone’s sweating all over the machines it’s disgusting.
I always carry a sweat towel and when I come out of there it’s soaking wet.
They have been leaving the front door open as if that’s going to help.
Members and even the staff have been complaining to management but they act like there’s nothing wrong.
I’m gonna find another gym soon.
It’s too much I don’t need to sweat like that to work out.

Like most gyms, there is a notable amount of parking, the majority of machines which aren't electronic are in working order and while there should be more stair masters considering how often they are taken (and how many are not in operation) overall the Linden location of Planet Fitness has the same pluses and minuses of any chain gym. This brand is just cheaper, which, if you have Aetna or some plans, could make the monthly cost relatively cheap with your fitness reimbursement.

I attended the gym for several months. I have to say overall cleanliness was okay, but the real big issue is people are doing whatever they want with equipment. Every time is a challenge to find a usable dumbbell. Those are meant to be used and put back so other people can use them, but instead, people take any equipment and then they set up a super series area, and by doing so, many equipment are unavailable for a long period of time.
But that’s not it. Personal trainers do exactly the same during sessions. They collect equipment all around and if you need it, forget about it.(Even if at that specific time it wasn’t used at all because was chatting around with people) He said he can do whatever he wants because he is the PT.
Front desk employees are okay.
Even if I had all the month paid, I switched to LA Fitness the next day.
Planet Fitness never again.

I noticed today each time i return in the gym w my shower bag, an associate follows behind me & pretends to do something tedious at the time like mop the floor while i was showering with strong bleach added to it & when i mentioned he could have waited he tells me not to worry about it followed by choking on bleach scent! The first time it was an older spanish gentleman & a teen employee being trained on how to mop right next too me. Today an associate followed right behind me as well & entered the stall too flush several times as they always do when i enter the shower. Becoming annoying bt the gym is ok. Its just becoming uncomfortable!

Gym is small but well equipped. The cleaning lady does a wonderful job keeping the place clean and neat. I am very impressed! I used to go to LA Fitness but then I stopped because at some point they forgot about the meaning of “keep the place clean”. The machines were so nasty, the floor was full of dust and hair. It was a mess everywhere. So discussting!
Planet Fitness from Linden is the opposite of this. You can enjoy your workout knowing that they always keep the place clean.
I am giving them 4 stars only because the space its a little small and the machines are not brand new!

There are not enough weight plates for the leg presses and the Smith machines. There are not enough dumbbells and no mirrors in front of the dumbbells. Most importantly there is an insufficient amount of adjustable benches for free weight and Smith machine use. Come on buy a few more benches and some more weight. There are now two leg presses next to each other and there is simply not enough weight for both of them. Machines are still not fixed after months. For example one of the chest fly machines is missing the yellow knob for easy adjustment. It has been that way for over a year. One of the machines for the back has had a loose chest pad for a few weeks now despite reporting this to the front desk. Most importantly the tanning machines are 15 years old. They don't tan well, The protective metal cage keeps falling on the users, and are a health risk. You are now I noticed when somebody gets hurt. All the other nearby planet fitness locations have the newer machines that actually tan. Finally whoever looks at these reviews always responds by telling dissatisfied members to contact the management. Here is a suggestion why don't you contact the management and do something about it since you are responsible for commenting on these reviews. There is no general manager ever present at this gym. Just the front desk people who don't know anything. For a few thousand dollars they can make this place great but they choose not to. Now that they raised the price they are no longer competitive and there are other options for us in the area. Oh and I forgot to mention that bird feces all over the front entrance that is tracked into the location. Not as bad as the Woodbridge location but still disgusting and a health risk. Will be calling the health department just like I did on the Woodbridge location. Don't tell me to call the landlord like you did last time you are the tenant you reach out to the landlord. It's amazing how you don't care about how your place looks and the health of your members considering that it is a health club.

But more recently I've seen more machines down, the station where you fill your water bottles has been down for about 2 months now, the paper towels are sitting on top of trash cans. I have been member for 3yrs.

Today I was at the gym March 21 8:30 AM when I was in 30 minute workout room finished my workout got up to go get stuff to clean machine and fell over the step machines they have in the middle of the floor I believe there is about six or seven in a circle. Which is right in front of all the equipment which to me is not safe. I did fall and fell and hurt my foot my backbone and my shoulder when I went upfront the girl couldn’t even speak English. I tried to explain to her and took her to the back room and showed her how I felt and how unsafe the set up is . There was two witnesses which helped me up but when it came time to make up a report they left. There was a woman finally at the counter that came and took a little information on a white piece of paper with not much as an accident report I did get hurt They were very unprofessional it seems to me that they don’t care about the people that are there they’re all for the money. Now I will wait and see what happens from here and how my shoulder and my back feel I took pictures of my foot they also took pictures of my foot and wrote it down we will see what happens from here.

I will say that I have never encountered a poor interaction with staff, the employee who ultimately helped me cancel my membership was exceptionally professional and cooperative: not asking me a million questions other than name, member ID, why I’m cancelling, and a signature to cancel, in all it took about 5 minutes. However, the company’s overall culture that allows a biological man to enter the woman’s locker room is disgusting. If you just want to work out, this place is perfect, which is what I want. The front staff are not friendly. They only say hello to certain people. Fine with me, but you should not be a greeter and checking cards.

Taking them to one star because they charged me the yearly fee when they were closed for covid. It not a bad place but it needs to be 24 hours outside of just work schedules school schedules its TOO congestion, there's I think 4-5 barbell machines, and I have yet to use them and I've been going there for a while now, and that's just those machines I never feel that I can get a proper workout because either someone is asking me if I'm almost done or someone's at the machine that I would like to use and there's quite a few machines so this emphasized the point more that it's too heavily congested ALL day, and making it 24 hours with alleviate that also speaking from when I first started working out not everybody is fully comfortable with that many people seeing the beginning stages of their workout, sure now I don't care but in the beginning I'm most definitely felt weird anytime I felt like I might have been doing an exercise wrong or something of that nature, there's not even another one in the nearby vicinity where someone could walk to if they would have to.
