When my daughter was being bullied for going to the gym and bettering herself, The management team listened, checked the tapes and confirmed what happened. They took care of the situation and told us that our daughter is safe at planet and we are thankful for that!!

UPDATE 2/10/2024 - They updated all of their equipment and added some new stuff including rowing machines, etc. Changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars.
Clean, convenient, and well equipped. Only negatives would be that they're slow to repair out of service equipment and they haven't added anything new in all the years I've been going there... like a rowing machine or anything else.

Another day without hot water! Yesterday the water was scalding hot. Reported the cold water shower issue to the female at the front desk. She said she was aware of the situation and would report it to John, the manager, when he comes in. The female said maintenance people were there yesterday because of scalding water. Can anyone tell me how this is still an ongoing issue?
Mens showers are never functioning correctly. Either cold or scalding hot. On Monday and Tuesday, this week, a sign was posted again, stating there was no hot water. I've personally heard John, the manager, call in work orders for this issue. How about giving him the authority to call in a professional plumber instead of your company maintenance people. Also in my 2 years of membership here, the roof has leaked in several areas, with buckets and waste paper cans set up on the gym floor to catch the rain drops. Safety issues for sure.

I had joined this Gym couple months ago. The place is clean and very well maintain whole day. Gym has many equipment's _ available to use any time. Also the equipment's are in operational condition.
Gym has a well trained team who helped members. I would especially like to thank Ryan Valentine(Club Manager) a professional and pleasant person to seek help, Rodney Green (Cleaning Person) keep place clean very well particularly bath room.
New manager is very good, Johnny Moore.
Involve with all operations. A good leader. Keep up your good work.

Friendly staff. Nice facility. One major issue for those running at this gym. The treadmill belts are worn and loose. It gives me a feeling when I'm running my feet are moving forward, skipping or even feel like I'm about to fall off. Luckily they have 4 or 5 "new" ones but even those though better, still skip and feel loose. 3 starts is the max I can give this location. Because of this issue 3 stars is my rating otherwise they'd have a definite 5 stars.

I love this gym. especially since it's 24/7. because of my schedule I can't always make it to the gym at regular hours so I love that I can come work out, or go tanning, at any hour of the day / night. Of all the Planet Fitness locations I've been to, I feel that this location is definitely the cleanest. The staff are very friendly, and very helpful, I have yet to have a bad experience with any staff members. The womens locker room is super clean, and it's really spacious as well. This location is on the bigger side of all the ones I've been to, which is great. This location will definitely always be my home gtm location.

I've been to several PF's, and this one lacks to some degree. Their cardio equipment is a little antiquated, their roof is obviously leaking, and they don't have enough benches by the dumbbells.

Signed up originally at the Shrewsbury location, but unfortunately because of my work hours I often can't make it before 9:00 p.m. this location is smaller but still nice. Not as crowded and it's 24-hour which works great for me

I had a hole in my pocket I didn’t know about and my locker key fell into the verseclimber machine and the two guys at the front desk spent 25 min helping to move everything, turn it upside down, and get it out without a hint of annoyance or being anything but friendly. It’s just a standard planet fitness but besides 1-2 people it’s got a more respectful than usual clientele and the staff is great.

I like the gym, the price is good for what youre paying for, but the 24hr advertisement is inaccurate. You'll find on weekends that is not the case. They open 12am Monday, and are 24hr until Thursday. Friday they close at 7pm. Saturday they open at 7am and close at 7pm. Sunday the same.

Never feels crowded even when there's a lot of people there. The equipment is in good condition and there are more options now eg bosu, med balls, more kettlebell sizes. The workouts in the app also offer a lot of variety.

I'm a new member, after a really long gym hiatus. It's a nice gym, though quite a few items are broken. Sometimes the free weight area is a challenge since there really isn't enough space for how many people use it. Otherwise it is clean and has plenty of machines.

Checked out the thee Planet Fitness in my area Middletown, Shrewsberry and Hazlet. Gyms were heavy on cardio machines and since I bike and hike not an attraction to me. What I didn’t like was to join you had to sign up giving your checking account routing number and credit card number as a back up. For me to much information to give out. I asked if I could give my credit card number only and management said that would be a “deal breaker”! This policy cause me to join a competitor’s gym!!! It was a “deal breaker” for me!!!!

Decent equipment for a planet fitness. But the members here have zero gym etiquette. They'll literally stay on the only double cable machine (for flys) for over 45 minutes. I just moved to the area so it's the closest one without me driving 30 mins plus so I'm low on options unfortunately.

Great gym, nice workers, clean. Problem; people clog the machines while they are on their phones (social media, texting, watching videos). Probably 1/2 of the members do this. PF has no time limits on machines. I suggested a cell free zone so people can just get through their workouts.

I love this gym! I’m thankful you all lifted the mask restrictions … had it gone 1 day longer and I would have canceled my membership ( for no other reason than boycotting ANY business forcing masks . This gym is clean, never too crowded, always tanning booths and massage chairs open! I’d love if you opened early early like 4-5 on week days but other than that NO COMPLAINTS AT MIDDLETOWN PLANET FITNESS!!

Special shout out to Ali who gave a newbie advice how not to get a shoe bite with a simple Band-Aid so I can continue my workout, And yes in my gym session in perfect timing instead of having to leave Dissatisfied with myself. I've been to the Planet Fitness in Ocean & Hazlet, but by far the Middletown gym is the best!! The staff keeps it exceptionally clean which is a huge plus these days. The machine setups make it for a much easier flow while doing your workout. Overall a grear gym.

Joined PF a little over a week ago and selected Middletown as my "home gym" and I'm so glad I did! I go later at night, it always the same familiar faces so I feel comfortable. The staff is always friendly. All the staff members I've encountered at least. In the entire gym there is ONE machine thats out of service. Which compared to the Hazlet location is great. I also went to the PF in Woodbridge, and I will not be going back there. Middletown has me spoiled so to say, it's SUPER clean.
