Where to begin! This studio is a MOVEMENT, a STATEMENT, an ALLY, and A SAFE PLACE! I have never felt so seen in the town of Hoboken then at KENPILATES! The classes vary in range of difficulty so there is something for everyone! All of the instructors love what they do and it shows, I have been a member for over a year and have brought many of my friends and family to take class!
Now let’s get into the owners, Ken and MATT, beam of such a passion filled light for their studio, they are so connected in the community and make everyone feel special.

I was always very nervous to try Pilates but I decided to take the plunge and go to a KensPilates class. That was the best decision I’ve ever made! Taja is amazing. Just did 2 private sessions with her. I was new to Pilates coming in and she met me where I was while also challenging me. The hour flew by. I felt taller and stronger afterwards. Sadly I’m flying back to California today… I need an excuse to come back so I can take more personal sessions with her!

I had an amazing time at Ken Pilates today! Everyone I came in contact with was so kind including the other patrons. Sonny was a fantastic teacher who made us laugh and gave us a great workout. Very helpful too! The class flew by because it was so fun and engaging. Love the vibes of the new studio. (I also just have to say that it smelled so wonderfully minty fresh from the diffuser and I loved it haha)

Updating this review to show the new studio, which is beautiful, larger and brand new. All new equipment, lovely aesthetic with pink and neutral tones, and a pretty garden view. The new space also has a reception area and space to put coats/shoes. Fantastic classes as usual but a major upgrade to the space- and so conveniently located on Washington St now. Love it!!!

Love this studio! For someone who is trying to get in shape, these workouts push me to my limits in the best way. All of the instructors that I’ve had so far (Taylor, Willa, Venus, Rebekah, and Ken) are great at motivating you without making you feel bad if you’re not able to keep up with the rest of the class, or if you need to take a few breaks here and there. They’re super encouraging! Looking forward to continuing to attend classes and getting stronger in the process :)

I started working out with Ken during the pandemic. His knowledge of how exercise influences the body is extraordinary! He never forgets to ask how I'm feeling and adjusts the workout accordingly. He is creative, kind and professional.
Since he moved into his beautiful studio, he is able to share his talent with more people. His classes are intimate and still personal.
I deliberately write very few reviews so understand how strongly I feel about Ken. If you care about your body, go to Ken Pilates.

I’ve taken tons of fitness classes and this is by far my favorite! It’s hard and gets you in amazing shape, but Ken’s infectious energy and encouragement makes it go by fast. The playlists, small classes and form correction all make a huge difference. And now there are springboards, which are unique for Hoboken (they almost work like TRX) and get you toned AF!

I went to Ken’s Signature Pilates Mat class with my boyfriend on a Saturday morning and it was just what we needed: hard work, but low impact. The studio was clean and bright and Ken was both knowledgeable and fun! I got deep into my core using a foam roller, Pilates ring, resistance bands and more. My obliques and glutes were the right amount of sore the next day. My boyfriend said his hips and back felt great after class and YES his glutes were sore too after all that concentrated band work. Classes are intimate which allowed for personalized cues. Can’t wait to try a private reformer session next.

I’ve been taking pilates with Kennyth three times a week for almost a year now. In that time, my body has gotten stronger and more toned. Kennyth is such a joy to work with because he is easy to talk to and will adjust your workout throughout the class to meet your needs. Although I dread getting up early for my morning sessions, I always end up leaving the session proud that I completed the workout and inspired for the rest of my day. If you are looking for a new workout routine, I fully recommend Ken Pilates.

Kennyth is an incredible instructor. Their classes are high energy and dynamic—I’m never bored. I can not express enough how much I enjoyed my private session with Ken at their Hoboken studio. A marvelous instructor that is incredibly informed about their craft. They made the session feel welcoming, enjoyable, and hardwork all wrapped into one package. I never felt like I was lost, they were ready and equipped with progressions for exercises, and made sure I was both informed and on top of regiment. I highly recommend!!!!

This is pilates, but not as you know it. This is a transformative workout carefully tailored explicitly for you - on and off the reformer. Ken not only has exceptional technical expertise, but is also a warm, kind, encouraging, attentive, and empathetic human being. This is not a Saturday morning group class. There is no cheating here. Ken's attention to detail is second to none. And as a result this is a demanding workout. But the results speak for themselves. Ken will transform your body. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Kennyth has really helped me get back in shape after quarantine. Everything is super clean in his studio and he follows COVID safe practices. I finally feel comfortable working out outside of my home again. He also has online classes if that’s more your thing.
I have a hip injury from years ago, so he pays close attention to keeping my hip safe and free of pain. I see him 3 times a week and I see progress after every visit. It also helps that he’s the most affordable private instructor in Hoboken. I highly recommend checking out Ken Pilates.

Ken is super friendly and knowledgable about pilates and fitness. He customizes my workouts to help me improve my running and to get stronger. Excellent instructor, classes are challenging and fun. The studio space is clean and attractive and has a reformer. Instructor can provide physical conditioning with or without weights, excercise bands or pilates equipment. Online and in person classes available for a reasonable price.
