My class with Andrea was my first ever Pilates class, and it was great! It was tough but in a really rewarding way, and even though I was nervous to do something in public that I'd never done before, I had a great time and definitely a great workout! I have some specific exercises that I can't do on my left side, but Andrea was really helpful in giving me alterations so I could get the best of the workout without injuring myself :)

If you are an introvert who is always embarrassed by your stiff, uncoordinated body, I think this Pilates studio is one for you. Bright window, no loud background music, timely correction from the teacher, encouraging vibe without those super hyper non-stop pep talks. Granted that I only took one class with Sarami Soler, but I like the vibe and this exercise already. Throughout the entire 50 minutes, I felt very calming, intentional, and focused. Not overwhelmed and overstimulated (both physically and mentally). I have always been looking for a place and an exercise where I can take my time, one repetition at a time, to build my core strength to correct my posture due to sitting in from of a computer all day. If you are intimated by doing physical exercise in a public/shared space and you need patience and time to build up your muscle one repetition at a time, I think this is the right place.

Unfortunately very unmotivated coach. Studio and ressources seem very old.

Loved my first class with Sara! She was supportive and reassuring all throughout class. I will definitely be coming back.

PS I’m not understanding some of the bad reviews here, on their site they state that grippy socks are required and also most Pilates classes require them, so come prepared. I am also Asian and was in a class with 2 other Asian people and did not feel discriminated against. Could have been the teacher too - Sara is great!

I’ve generally had good experiences at Pump Pilates Path, but I wanted to share an incredibly embarrassing and unpleasant encounter with instructor Sara Koeniger that left me questioning whether I can recommend this studio.

As most people know, reformer Pilates requires grippy socks. I’m pregnant and returning after a break, so I forgot mine. Since Pump sells socks at the front desk, I asked to buy a pair—only to find out they don’t take Apple Pay, and I didn’t have my physical card. Sara told me I could manually enter my card info, but as anyone familiar with Apple Pay knows, it masks full card numbers. When I asked for help, she refused.

Class was starting, and I really didn’t want to miss it, so I asked if I could take the socks and pay after class once I had time to figure out my payment. She flatly refused, saying she’d "forget to charge me." I reassured her I would pay, but she wouldn’t budge. The implication—that I’d run off with a pair of socks—was humiliating. To make things worse, she repeatedly called me by the wrong name, even after I corrected her.

Since you can’t take class without socks and I had no way to pay on the spot, I was forced to leave and walk home in the freezing cold—an absurd and unnecessary outcome. There were obvious solutions: taking my phone as collateral, leaving herself a note, or simply trusting a returning customer. It’s already difficult for busy parents—especially pregnant ones—to carve out time for self-care, and this rigid, unempathetic response ruined what should have been a positive experience.

I hope the owner considers training staff to handle situations like this with more flexibility and basic customer service—starting with getting a client’s name right and extending a little trust. Until then, I can’t in good conscience recommend this studio.

I enjoy the Pump Pilates classes and feel challenged every time I take a class. Each instructor is kind and patient while helping me get stronger. I appreciate the correction of my form and how they have helped me build my strength. I could barely hold a plank when I first started at Pump and now I can do all the planks and so many more exercises. I always leave the class feeling accomplished and looking forward to taking my next class.

I could not rave about this place more! I originally tried Pilates back in April 2023 at Pump Pilates rePurposed thinking I would try out a few studios before settling into a membership. However, within 4 months, I could not see myself at another studio. The instructors are so personal and attentive during each 50-minute group class that it truly feels like a private session. I was truly a beginner (never took a workout class in my life!) and each instructor was so patient with my experience level. What gave me some comfort was that these instructors are not new to Pilates; many have been certified instructors for 20+ years, such as Malene and Sabrina.

Additionally, I found that the personalized support and appreciation for form is consistent throughout all the instructors' classes, so you really can't go wrong when you sign up for a class. Even as a more seasoned Pilates student, I appreciate the cues and instruction around form throughout class to avoid injury and focus on proper form as this makes the workout more effective.

I’ve been attending this studio for a while, and every visit has been a fantastic experience. The instructors are truly exceptional—Abbey, Malene, and Sara each bring something unique to their classes. Malene’s emphasis on form has made a huge difference for me, with her clear and precise cues inspiring me to keep practicing Pilates. Abbey’s sessions always leave me feeling both challenged and refreshed, physically and mentally. She strikes the perfect balance between pushing you to do your best and fostering a welcoming environment. Sara brings an incredibly uplifting energy to every class, making each workout fun, challenging in the best way, and genuinely rewarding.

The workouts are consistently outstanding, and I love how committed each instructor is to helping you grow stronger and deepen your practice. The studio itself is clean, inviting, and the perfect space to focus on your pilates journey. I always look forward to coming here and highly recommend it to anyone seeking an exceptional Pilates experience!

This is not a safe space to practise reformer pilates. My friend and I just attended Malene Schjoenning's class at 9am today (Sunday). She is an absolute bully, and made both of us feel terribly uncomfortable in class. As an instructor, instead of correcting our posture and technique in an encouraging manner, she proceeded to perform the following which included acts of physical harassment:
1. She poked my friend's backside multiple times as a way to "correct" her technique. This is absolutely inacceptable and considered physical harrassment.
2. She asked my friend of Asian descent whether she understood English when some of her techniques were not correct.
3. She kept singling us out in front of the whole class, belittling our technique and embarrassing us instead of giving us positive encouragement by telling us to look at our neighbours who are "so good".

Both of us are of Asian descent and it was obvious that Malene displayed an angle of racist bias. I would not recommend anyone attending this studio if one was intending to learn with an open heart and open mind.

Worst pilates experience ever. The instructor singled my friend and I out - kept saying condescending things to us with a racist undertone. She even inappropriately groped my butt two times without my consent, extremely rude and unprofessional.

Avoid at all costs!
