I joined the Rabbit Fit family in April of this year. At my heaviest I was 218 and unable to keep up with my 6 year old daughter. Rabbit Fit has been a perfect fit for me! My personal trainer Barrett is knowledgeable, personable, patient and does not allow me to slack off. At my first session, I spoke to my trainer about a nagging left shoulder injury that limited my movement. Immediately, he instructed me to do specific exercises during my workouts. Today, my left shoulder moves as freely as my right! I am a seventy year old woman who has just recently received personal training for the first time in my life. I dabbled at going the they gym on my own over the years, but never got anywhere fast. After a double knee replacement five years ago, I was getting concerned by my physical health. I was apprehensive about going down stairs and getting off the floor was a laborious, unsightly job. I was assigned to Barrett and followed him to Rabbit Fitness. I've never looked back! My weight training program has slowly but steadily progressed and I can really feel the difference in my body and my outlook. In the beginning, due to my lack of strength, I was a little wobbly. But Barrett is right there spotting me so that I feel secure. Barrett is the best... he encourages and listens, but keeps things moving ahead and keeps you attaining new levels of progression. I like the small and intimate gym without a ton of people looking at you.
I know he trains all levels, young and not so young, and it is encouraging to see more older people here seeking help and direction. He also asks you keep a food journal, which goes hand in hand with fitness and is part of the journey. The other staff are all friendly and competent. I would feel confident with all of them so far. One of them, Lucretia, is also a massage therapist and if you are in luck, she might have her chair available for a session after the workout. It's heaven!
I highly recommend Rabbit Fitness - no matter your level, you can't go wrong!

I have only great things to say about my experience with Rabbit Fit. Barrett (owner) and Tom (my trainer) made me feel welcome from the first minute. They are very clearly experts at what they do, they're great listeners, and they work hard to understand everyone's personal fitness goals. When I started working with Rabbit Fit, I had been procrastinating getting into shape for....well, let's say a while, in part because I was nervous about my low starting point. I can absolutely say - with Rabbit Fit, there was nothing to worry about. The team goes above and beyond to make everyone comfortable - there is no judgment here. They will give additional demonstration and explanation, will very fairly hold you accountable, and will be the best cheerleaders. These guys are the best & I am really happy with the results.

I decided to contact Barret after being in one of the body circuit sessions he was overseeing. What initially caught my attention was how quickly he could think on his feet to accommodate different levels of fitness, both higher or lower, to work in a way that was both doable and challenging to each person.
It's been just about 8 months since I started working with him, and I have to say the decision to ask for his help was definitely the right one.
The overall focus for me were a couple of things: weight-loss, toning, balancing and building habits for my nutrition, and learning to use the gym machines/exercises. He's been a coach and also a guide through it all, not to mention a very encouraging cheering-squad all on his own, and it's honestly been a great experience! Even through a few set-backs in the past few months, he's been very attentive, receptive of concerns, and mindful to accommodate the focus of the exercises we go through, and well - he's made the experience of going to the gym a lot more bearable! Specially keeping realistic goals in mind and acknowledging each time it's been met.
Long story short --- Do I recommend him? For sure!
So long as you're a person who is interested in long term goals, realistic goals, and is willing to put in your own effort. I recommend him as a coach, and as a good source of knowledge for both advice and information on meals and workouts.

I have a son with special needs with a bit of a weight issue. Barrett has been working with my son for a number of months now, Barrett did his homework on my son. He has the patience to understand his challenges and at the same time challenge him. My son’s workouts went from 30 minutes to 60 minutes with an increase in endurance and is down 30+ lbs. to date. Barrett knows his stuff and I would recommend him to anyone who has a weight issue or wants to tweak their workouts. I am grateful to Barrett he has done a lot for my son. Thank you Barrett!

Generally not someone who seeks work-outs, I started exercising with Barrett when the lockdown lifestyle forced me to be more sedentary. i have worked with Barrett for almost 4 years both in person and remote. I have found him very positive and a great motivator for when i am having a harder session. His schedules are tailored to my own fitness goals and had no problem tweaking as needed due to my own feedback, injuries or changes in personal desires.
He has also been very flexible with my constantly erratic work schedule and has adapted workouts on the fly weather I am at the gym, home, or limited to just a hotel room!

A couple of months ago I was living a very sedentary lifestyle. I had finished college, gotten a job and my life had turned into a series of sitting in chairs in different locations. From my car to my office chair, back in my car to get home and sit at my desk and repeat all over again the next day. It was getting to the point were going up a flight of stairs was tiring. I always thought about going to a gym, but it seemed overwhelming, and I didn’t really know how to use all the equipment.
Luckly, I found Barrett’s business card at a local barbershop and gave him a call. He was very helpful and patient with me and taught me a lot. From how to use equipment at the gym, to plenty of different exercises, as well as how to pay attention to what I was eating and track calories. I also had some knee problems, and he catered the exercises around that to help with my problem. Now I feel much healthier, stronger, and more comfortable with going to the gym.

When I started working with Barrett, I was on the high end of “normal” weight. I was a very picky eater with a diet full of staples such as pizza, hot dogs, soda, and mac & cheese. My focus was on exercise, not nutrition, because I’d given up on changing my diet long ago. I didn’t even bother to take a “before” photo, because my goal was to increase fitness, not to lose weight. Who needs a photo for that?
But Barrett didn’t give up on me! Through setting specific achievable goals for nutrient intake, growing motivation with weekly check-ins, and building on healthy foods I already liked (hooray for smoothies!), he helped me create a diet that worked for me and was actually sustainable, even with my finicky limited palate. I now also have a much better understanding of how my body responds to what I put into it, so I can make informed choices about what I eat every day. I still have a weakness for the occasional bowl of mac & cheese, but now, thanks to Barrett, I have the tools I need to manage those indulgences within the context of an overall healthy lifestyle. This new approach to nutrition, combined with personal training exercise sessions, has been a genuine transformation for me.
A couple years later and over pounds lighter, I feel 25 years younger! I have energy, muscle tone, and am stronger and in better shape in my late 40s than I have ever been before. And I actually believe I can stay that way. My only regret is the one time I didn’t follow Barrett’s advice -- I should’ve taken that “before” photo!

He will help you realize your goals while always spotting and supporting your needs. For example, I had a torn rotator cuff(arm pain and limitation), and Barret helped me exercise around that issue and gain strength.
I wanted to lose weight and gain core strength. Since working with Barrett, I’ve lost over 30 pounds while simultaneously gaining muscle and definition.
Time and flexibility of schedule make working with Barret easy and convenient. He never once rescheduled or canceled.

I feel better than I ever have! I have always been an avid gym goer. I first reached out to Barrett for a little motivation when I noticed thicker love handles growing as my gym motivation was waning. All I wanted was a workout program I didn’t have to write myself, and someone to call me every week and make sure I did it. I got so much more! I didn’t just get a list of exercises, I got an explanation of the reasoning behind doing them, and doing them a certain way. He patiently coaxed me into taking some nutrition advice, which (once I agreed to watch what I ate) he added for no extra charge. He really listens when I tell him how I felt exercising and eating throughout the week and makes smart adjustments. He’s encouraging, super flexible, and keeps me ACCOUNTABLE.
In just 3 months following his health and exercise advice I’m down 13 lbs from 197-184, I’ve gained strength, and - I can’t say this enough - I feel better than ever!!

I started working with Barrett in the gym and then about a month later, quarantine hit and I fell right out of the loop of working out. (Which I hadn't been doing for QUITE some time before that anyway...) When Barrett reached out to me about doing FaceTime sessions, I was definitely nervous because I do not like being bad at things and I had been living a VERY sedentary life, but I can honestly say it was a great decision and I have an adjusted sense of perspective for sure. You can absolutely not say I LOVE working out and every workout is a chance for me to remind Barrett that I STILL HATE WORKING OUT, but he goes along for the ride, lets me complain, and encourages me through to keep doing better and growing and learning and getting stronger and that is honestly the best.
