The equipment is old, cable machines are jerky, not smooth. There’s a punching bag dead center of the space, it attracts every narcissist that walks in. (Please relocate it). The treadmills face the parking lot, you make eye contact with randoms. Have at least half face in to the gym.

Staff is super friendly, locker room is clean with adequate space. Gym itself is clean.

Start updating and loose the heavy bag.

Pretty clean equipment and plenty of it. Sometimes the WiFi doesn't work and the air conditioning is sometimes not on when it needs to be. Also, the heartrate monitors on most of the treadmills doesn't work.

Absolutely deplorable conditions. Dirtiest gym I’ve ever been to. The men’s bathroom is beyond bad. As a fitness professional (Certified personal trainer, sports nutritionist and group instructor for 20 years) I have never seen conditions so bad. For every 10 machines, there are 9 broken. The only welcoming things are the girls at the front counter. They do an exceptional job every time I walk through the front door. The personal trainers are a completely separate conversation. I’ve had the opportunity to be apart of some incredible transformations. Ranging from average Joe’s to celebrity clients and I have never seen a staff so unprofessional (trainer sitting down?! Eating on the floor?!) Horrible example of professionalism. I’m honestly at a loss for words. Nothing has changed in the 14 months I’ve been in to the area and I honestly don’t see anything changing anytime soon. It’s only become progressively worse. Conditions and atmosphere reflect LEADERSHIP. Accountability is something that does not exist here. This Review will be taken one or two ways. With that, this comes from the healthiest place. Everything rises and falls upon leadership. From Cliff to the cleaning staff. This is something that should not be taken lightly. Things can be better and should be better. The Retro Fitness center of Tuckerton is a very warm and welcoming facility to newcomers. I was referred to this fitness center from many recommendations of the church that I attend of which is St. Theresa‘s these parishioners appreciate the warm welcoming experience that we receive on a daily basis.

I go to the club in Tuckerton, and it is awesome. The staff is kind and helpful. The smoothie bar is a nice treat after a hard workout. Equipment is in good repair and I can always find an alternate piece of equipment if somebody is on the one that I want to use, which is a plus.

Members have good gym etiquette (rarely hogging machines and they wipe down each use), 95% of the time the equipment is taken care of and not out of service, I have all that I need for a great workout, convenient location!

Management is horrendous, (typical retro employee) No customer service skills , moved out of the state and Tara the manager refuses to cancel my membership. Facility is very dirty/dusty, locker rooms are nasty… highly RECOMMEND do not use this location

I have 2 memberships, one at retro and one at planet fitness. Planet fitness is open 24/7, so if I work a Saturday, I can still go home. Eat shower relax and get my workout in. Both places have pros and cons. Just wish retro would stay open til at least 9 on the weekends.

My wife just joined Retro yesterday and the sign up experience was very good. We were met with a pleasant hello from the girl at the front desk, Jayda, who was both knowledgeable and personable. She recited all of the membership options and was able to answer all of our questions. Excellent first impression.
The facility itself has a ton of equipment, including an area specifically for free weights. Looking at it, not really anything that would be missing, just familiarizing yourself with the equipment. They have a juice bar which is pretty cool. Especially for being in tuckerton!
Looking forward to being her guest.

This gym is dirty !! Toilet seat been broken for 2 days instead of placing an out of order sign they place the seat on the toilet as if nothing is wrong it. I reported it 2 days now in a,row. If soneone gets hurt it's on them...Why am I paying a membership if they do not take care of the gym...craziness...look under the refrigerator Gian dist and dirt under them...hair all over the machines..windows are not cleaned...Why isn't the gym cleaned everyday!! I am disgusted....

I love this gym. I moved to the area three years ago at an all-time mental, physical, spiritual low, and decided to sign up for the gym to get back to myself a little bit. I had just had my third baby in under three years, so I was 5' 3" and 200 lbs. Through diet, exercise at Retro, my own plant based meal prep, and consistency, I've dropped 75 lbs. I'm currently working with a trainer, Syd, who practically put me in a stretcher (in the best sense possible) this week, and the training manager was willing to listen to my issues during COVID and develop a payment plan that worked for me. Retro has been my rock through so much difficulty in the past three years, and I wouldn't feel at home anywhere else. I have the highest level membership, which I HIGHLY recommend. It's about $30/month and includes tanning, bring-a-friend, and multiple kids in the child care area (which has ALSO always been great. I had one issue once where I felt a little eh and I talked with the manager on duty and it was resolved quickly and easily.), I just think it's so worth the upgrade. As a mom, it's hard to really invest in yourself, bit it's SO important that we do, and my membership at Retro plus the once a week personal trainer has been an investment that's given me so much more in return than I ever put into it.

I’ve been coming since it opened in Tuckerton, it’s still kept clean and machines get fixed quick.
I like how there’s all ages that go to the gym , young and older.
The equipment that I use are for legs and stomach, which helped me lose inches from both areas .
Jake as answered questions that helped me do the machines the right way and about protein drinks.

I saw an online promotion that allows you a one-time visit, to check out and use the gym before you decide if you want to sign up. I was really impressed and the timing was perfect. The person working the desk told me about their Black Friday special, waiving the enrollment fee. I was in the market for a gym membership, and signed up right away. The staff is very friendly. I have found the people that go to Retro are also very friendly and easy to talk to. The gym has a home town feel making it a comfortable place to go and work out. Jack knows everyone's name and always makes the time for small talk while making you a smoothie. Maria evaluated me for personal training and paired me with Bradley. She made an excellent choice. Bradley motivated me and helped to upgrade my stale routine with an emphasis on warm up, form, focus, & rest periods, while making it challenging but doable. Retro in Tukerton, NJ is an awesome place to exercise and learn how to work out the right way.

The gym is great and so is the Staff. They do a really good job of keeping up preventative maintenance on the machines and if one does break it’s usually repaired quickly. My only gripe would be the Protien shakes don’t taste as good as they use to? No flavor? Guessing they switched protien distributors and also I would suggest some kind of Protien Shake punch card. Buy 5 get 1 free. Something to that nature, but it’s just a suggestion. Overall Tuckerton Retro is by far my favorite Retro in the area.
